Background: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is mostly diagnosed in young women of fertile age, and a significant number of patients become pregnant while they have the disease. The remission of the illness, which is often achieved by intensive anti inflammatory treatment, has been found to be the most important factor of a successful pregnancy. Vedolizumab (VDZ) and ustekinumab (UST) are newer types of monoclonal antibodies with different mechanisms of effect when compared to anti-TNF treatment. VDZ is a monoclonal antibody against the α4ß7 integrin receptor, and UST against interleukin 12/23; both have expanded the spectrum of the biological treatment of IBD in recent years. Aims: To present the results of a multicentre observational study. The primary aim was to assess the safety of vedolizumab and ustekinumab for pregnancy, foetal development and the neonatal outcome. The secondary aim was to measure the drug concentration in maternal and cord blood at the time of delivery. Methods: It was a multicentre, retrospective-prospective observational study. Data on patients’ demographics, clinical characteristics and pregnancy were collected by the treating physician using a predefined questionnaire, data on newborn outcome were obtained from medical documentation. The ELISA method was used to measure the VDZ and UST concentrations. Results: The study took place in 15 IBD clinical centres in the Czech Republic. 79 women with 85 completed pregnancies were included in the study, and they were exposed to VDZ or UST during pregnancy. 36 women were treated with vedolizumab (median age 32 years) and 49 with ustekinumab (median age 30.5 years). In the group with VDZ, live births occurred with 32 women (88.9%), and there were two early spontaneous abortions up to the eighth week of gestation in addition to two instrumentally aborted pregnancies (4, 11.1%). 31 children (93.9%) in the group with VDZ were born at term with a median birth weight of 3,097.5 grams. In the ustekinumab group, 39 women (79.6%) had live births, there were nine early abortions and one instrumentally aborted pregnancy (10, 20.4%). 38 (97.4%) children were born at term with a median birth weight of 3,265 grams. The drug levels of VDZ and UST at birth were measured in 44 neonate-mother pairs (21 VDZ, 23 UST). The median level of VDZ in maternal venous blood was 7.2 mg/l, and in cord blood it was 4.7 mg/l (infant / maternal ratio 0.66). With UST, the median maternal level was 4.7 mg/l, and in neonates it was 7.9 mg/l (infant / maternal ratio 1.65). Conclusion: The results found in a group of women that were being treated for IBD and were exposed to at least one dose of biologic treatment with UST or VDZ during pregnancy are consistent with previously published evidence showing no adverse events, and they confirm the safety profile of new biologics in pregnancy. Due to the still limited number of enrolled patients, further studies are needed on the outcomes of pregnancies with new biologics drugs. Background: Gastrointestinal injury caused by dextran sodium sulphate (DSS) is a reliable porcine experimental model of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of probiotic Lactobacillus casei DN 114001 (LC) on DSS-induced experimental IBD.Results: Eighteen female pigs (Sus scrofa f. domestica, weight 33–36 kg, age 4–5 months) were divided into 3 groups (6 animals per group): controls with no treatment, DSS, and DSS + LC. LC was administered to overnight fasting animals in a dietary bolus in the morning on days 1–7 (4.5 × 1010 live bacteria/day). DSS was applied simultaneously on days 3–7 (0.25 g/kg/day). On day 8, the pigs were sacrificed. Histopathological score and length of crypts/glands (stomach, jejunum, ileum, transverse colon), length and width of villi (jejunum, ileum), and mitotic and apoptotic indices (jejunum, ileum, transverse colon) were assessed. DSS increased the length of glands in the stomach, length of crypts and villi in the jejunum and ileum, and the histopathological score of gastrointestinal damage, length of crypts and mitotic activity in the transverse colon. Other changes did not achieve any statistical significance. Administration of LC reduced the length of villi in the jejunum and ileum to control levels and decreased the length of crypts in the jejunum. Conclusions: Treatment with a probiotic strain of LC significantly accelerated regeneration of the small intestine in a DSS-induced experimental porcine model of IBD.

Functional hyposplenism is a condition accompanying many diseases including autoimmune disorders and lymphomas. Hyposplenism is also commonly found in adult coeliac disease (up to 20 % of non-complicated and up to 80 % of complicated disease). Hyposplenism is associated with an increased risk of severe infections ( Streptococcus pneumoniae , Neisseria meningitidis and Haemophilus influenzae ). The aim of this prospective study was to investigate memory B lymphocytes as an indirect biomarker of functional hyposplenism. A total of 42 patients with coeliac disease (11 men, 31 women; mean age 49±14 years) and 10 healthy controls, blood donors (2 men, 8 women; mean age 39±7 years) were enrolled into the study. Nobody underwent previous splenectomy and no individual suffered from immunodeficiency. The DuraClone IM panel was used to identify B lymphocytes subpopulations in peripheral blood samples by flow cytometry Navios (Beckman Coulter) with software analysis using Kaluza version 1.2. Patients with coeliac disease and controls did not differ in basic parameters of leukocyte and total lymphocyte blood count. Switched memory B lymphocytes (CD19+CD27+IgD-), non-switched memory / marginal-zone-like B lymphocytes (CD19+CD27+IgD+) and IgM memory B lymphocytes (CD19+CD27+IgM++) were significantly lower in coeliac disease compared to controls. Follicular (naive) B lymphocytes were not significantly different between coeliac disease and controls. In conclusion, dysfunction of memory B lymphocytes can be responsible for an increased risk of severe bacterial infections in coeliac disease. Patients with coeliac disease with dysfunction of memory B lymphocytes are clearly indicated for anti-pneumococcal vaccination.

Background Mucosal healing (MH) has become a perspective treatment target in patients with Crohn's disease (CD). Data about the impact of MH on long-term outcome in pediatric patients are still scarce. Methods 76 pediatric patients with CD were evaluated retrospectively (2000-2015) in a tertiary care center. Based on MH achievement, they were divided into two groups (MH, n= 17; and No MH, n=59). The primary endpoint was to assess the association of MH and the need for CD-related hospitalizations or surgery in pediatric patients with CD. Results The number of hospitalized patients was 24% in the MH group and 42% in the No MH group, P = 0.26. The total number of CD-related hospitalizations was not significant between the MH group and the No MH group (5 vs. 41, P = 0.15). The time to the first hospitalization was 24 months in MH and 21 months in No MH, P>0.99. 24% patients in the MH group and 39% patients in the No MH group underwent CD-related operation, P = 0.39. Time to the first operation was 43 months for MH and 19 months for the No MH group, P = 0.13. The follow-up period was 91 months in the MH group and 80 months in the No MH group, P = 0.74. The use of infliximab was positively associated with MH, P = 0.002. Conclusions MH was not associated with fewer CD-related hospitalizations or operations in pediatric patients with CD during seven years of follow-up.

Inhibuje α4β7 integrin, a tak selektivně blokuje přilnuti leukocytů (aktivovaných GIT‑ tropnich lymfocytů) k cevni stěně a migraci do střevni submukozy, a tim brani patologickemu zanětu v travici trubici. Ucinnost vedolizumabu byla prokazana jak ve studiich, tak i v realne klinicke praxi, zejmena u ulcerozni kolitidy. Výborný bezpecnostni profil, nový mechanismus ucinku a klinicka potřeba nove lecby idiopatických střevnich zanětů vedla k rychlemu zabydleni vedolizumabu v klinicke praxi.

Differential diagnosis between benign and malignant biliary stenosis can be difficult in clinical practice. Histology of biopsy specimens is often indeterminate. Laboratory markers (serum bilirubin>75 μmol/L, carbohydrate antigen 19-9>400 U/mL) and the length of stenosis (>15 mm) can be helpful but are not specific enough. The aim of this study was to investigate bile acids in liver bile of patients with benign and malignant biliary stenosis and controls without stenosis. A total of 73 patients entered the study: 7 subjects with benign biliary stenosis (6 men, 1 woman; 68±13 years old), 21 with malignant biliary stenosis (15 men, 6 women; 72±14 years old), and 45 patients without biliary stenosis (22 men, 23 women; 70±13 years old); out of those, 25 subjects have and 20 do not have choledocholithiasis. Twenty-three different bile acids were investigated by high-performance liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry. Serum total bilirubin was significantly higher in patients with malignant biliary stenosis compared with nonstenotic controls (p=0.005). Significant relationship (r>0.7) was found between several pairs of bile acids. Significantly lower bile acid concentrations in malignant biliary stenosis compared to controls without stenosis were found for GLCA (p=0.032), GUDCA (p=0.032), GCDCA (p=0.006), GDCA (p=0.031), GHCA (p=0.005), TUDCA (p=0.044), and TDCA (p=0.036). Significant difference in cholic acid was found between benign and malignant stenosis (p=0.022). Analysis of bile acids might be helpful in the differential diagnosis of malignant and benign biliary stenosis. More patients need to be enrolled in further studies so that the real diagnostic yield of bile acids can be determined.

Objective The epidemiology of uninvestigated dyspepsia was studied in the Czech Republic for the first time in 2001. The aim of the current multicenter prospective study was to evaluate dyspepsia using the same methods in a representative sample of general unselected population from the same geographical areas 10 years later. Participants and methods A total of 38 147 individuals comprised the general population for a random two-step selection process. A total of 1836 participants (863 males and 973 females; aged 5-98 years) took part in the questionnaire-based study. Helicobacter pylori status was investigated in all participants by means of C-urea breath test. Results The overall prevalence of dyspepsia was 2.6% among children and adolescents aged 5-17 years and 16.0% among adults aged 18-98 years. We did not detect any statistically significant sex differences in the prevalence of total dyspepsia or its subtypes. Overall, 2.4% of H. pylori-negative children and adolescents aged less than 18 years reported dyspepsia, and 16.8% of H. pylori-negative adults reported it. Among H. pylori-positive children and adolescents and adults, dyspepsia was present in 8.3 and 15.8%, respectively. Type A dyspepsia (as the only long-lasting symptom) was statistically significantly associated with H. pylori status among children and adolescents. Among adults aged 18 years or older, we noted a lower prevalence of dyspepsia in adults with elementary education compared with university education. Current use of antibiotics was associated with an increased prevalence of dyspepsia in adults. Conclusion Despite the substantial decrease of H. pylori infection in the Czech Republic over the past 10 years, the prevalence and sociodemographic determinants of uninvestigated dyspepsia did not change significantly.

Introduction: The aim of our prospective study was to define endoscopy appearance of the small bowel in healthy volunteers. Method: Forty-two healthy volunteers underwent wireless capsule endoscopy, clinical investigation, laboratory tests, and completed a health-status questionnaire. All subjects were available for a 36-month clinical follow-up. Results: Eleven subjects (26%) had fully normal endoscopy findings. Remaining 31 persons (74%), being asymptomatic, with normal laboratory results, had some minor findings at wireless capsule endoscopy. Most of those heterogeneous findings were detected in the small intestine (27/31; 87%), like erosions and/or multiple red spots, diminutive polyps and tiny vascular lesions. During a 36-month clinical follow-up, all these 42 healthy volunteers remained asymptomatic, with fully normal laboratory control. Conclusions: Significant part of healthy subjects had abnormal findings at wireless capsule endoscopy. These findings had no clinical relevance, as all these persons remained fully asymptomatic during a 36-month follow-up. Such an endoscopic appearance would be previously evaluated as “pathological”. This is a principal report alerting that all findings of any control group of wireless capsule endoscopic studies must be evaluated with caution.

The goal of this prospective study was to assess non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)-induced enteropathy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) or osteoarthritis (OA) by means of non-invasive wireless capsule enteroscopy. A total of 143 patients (74 with RA, 69 with OA) treated with NSAIDs (>1 month) and 42 healthy volunteers were included. All subjects underwent capsule endoscopy, laboratory tests and filled in questionnaires. The severity of small bowel injury was graded as: mild (red spots or sporadic erosions), moderate (10–20 erosions) or severe (>20 erosions or ulcers). Capsule endoscopy identified small bowel lesions in 44.8 % of patients (mild 36.4 %, moderate 3.5 % and severe in 4.9 %). Mild non-specific lesions were found in 11.9 % healthy volunteers. Testing antilaminaribioside (ALCA) and antichitobioside (ACCA) antibodies in 89 Crohn's disease (CD), 31 ulcerative colitis (UC) and 50 controls, mean values were 38.6 and 53.0 ELISA units for CD, 34.0 and 32.6 for UC, 34.5 and 36.4 for controls, respectively. There was no significant difference of ALCA values between CD and UC (p = 0.401), CD and control subjects (p = 0.698) or UC and controls (p = 0.898). ACCA were significantly higher in CD compared with UC (p = 0.011) but not with the controls (p = 0.095). No significant difference of ACCA values between UC and controls (p = 0.107) was found. ALCA and ACCA values significantly correlated in CD (r = 0.548, p < 10 -4 ) and UC (r = 0.885, p < 10 -4 ) but not in controls (r = 0.153, p = 0.287). The positive predictive value for CD was only 20 (ALCA) and 8 % (ACCA), the negative ones (to exclude CD) 25 (ALCA) and 86 % (ACCA). Small and/or large bowel involvement or dis- ease type (i.e. stenosing, perforating or inflammatory) of CD did not differ in the two values. The idea that ALCA and ACCA may be useful either to differentiate between CD, UC and healthy subjects or to stratify CD was not confirmed.

Tacrine was the first acetylcholinesterase inhibitor approved for therapy of Alzheimer's disease. It has currently been withdrawn in some countries mostly due to the risk of hepatotoxicity and might be replaced by its derivate 7-methoxytacrine (7-MEOTA). The aim of this study was to assess the impact of these two compounds on gastric myoelectrical activity by means of surface cutaneous electrogastrography (EGG).Twelve pigs (Sus scrofa f. domestica, weighing 30-35 kg) entered the study. A single dose of tacrine (200 mg i.m., n=6) or 7-MEOTA (200 mg i.m., n=6) was administrated. All EGG recordings were performed under general anaesthesia in the morning after 24 hours of fasting. Basal (30 minutes) and study recordings (150 minutes) were accomplished using an EGG stand (MMS, Enschede, the Netherlands). Results were expressed as dominant frequency of gastric slow waves, power analysis (areas of amplitudes) and power ratio assessment (ratio of the areas of amplitudes after and before study drug administration).Tacrine decreased EGG dominant frequency 10 minutes after its administration (from basal 3.1±0.6 to 2.8±0.6 cycles per minute; p=0.014). Tacrine induced a non-significant 60-minute increase of the power (with maximal value 493±533 μV2 at 20 minutes) and power ratio (with maximal value 2.04±3.4 at 10 minutes). Tacrine caused substantial gastric arrhythmia. 7-MEOTA did not influence dominant frequency of gastric slow waves significantly. 7-MEOTA caused a short-term late increase of the power ratio at 60 minutes (6.3±11.2; p=0.003). Blood cholinesterase activity did not correlate with any EGG parameter either after tacrine or 7-MEOTA at any time.Tacrine and 7-MEOTA have different impacts on EGG. Tacrine decreased dominant frequency and induced long-lasting gastric arrhythmia. 7-MEOTA caused a short-term late increase of the EGG power in experimental pigs.

Background: Prevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection has been estimated to range from 60 to 95% in the former communist countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The aim of this study was to evaluate H. pylori infection prevalence in a representative sample of the Czech population. The second objective was to describe difference of H. pylori prevalence between different social groups of children and adults. Materials and Methods: A total of 2509 persons aged 5–100 years, randomly selected out of 30,012 persons of the general population, took part in the study. H. pylori infection was investigated by means of 13C-urea breath test. Breath samples were analyzed by isotope ratio mass spectrometry. Social and demographic characteristics were based on data from self-completed questionnaires. Results: Using the total Czech population as a standard, we estimated the age-standardized prevalence of H. pylori in males aged 5+ years at 41.9% (95% CI 39.0%, 44.8%) and in females aged 5+ years at 41.4% (95% CI 38.6%, 44.3%) in 2001. Prevalence of H. pylori increased with age but was not related to gender. Children of mothers with basic or lower education, living in crowded accommodations, without access to running warm water, and residing in smaller towns appear to be at the highest risk. Low education and heavy smoking are most strongly associated with prevalence of H. pylori positivity in adults and adolescents. Conclusions: This is a unique study based on a representative sample of the general population in a Central European country. The overall prevalence of H. pylori is lower than previously assumed and could partly reflect a substantial recent decrease in H. pylori prevalence in the Czech Republic. Consistent with earlier studies, H. pylori infection is strongly influenced by socioeconomic conditions and childhood poverty.

The (13)C-urea breath test ((13)C-UBT) is the most accurate non-invasive method for diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori infection. However, several methodological issues have not been resolved yet. The aim of this study was to test different protocols of (13)C-UBT to find the optimal test drink and sampling interval.(13)C-UBT was performed at 3-day intervals in 27 healthy volunteers using citric acid (test A), orange juice (B) and still water (C) as test drinks. Breath samples were collected from time 5 to 60 min. A total number of 2106 breath samples were analysed by isotope ratio mass spectrometry (cut-off value 3.5).Differences in delta values were greater than would be expected by chance (A versus B and A versus C at times 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 min, p0.05, Dunnett's method). There were no grey zone- or false-negative results among H. pylori-positive persons in test A at any time, but some were found in tests B and C. Optimal intervals for breath sampling are at times 20 or 25 min after (13)C-urea ingestion.Citric acid solution as a test drink and 20- or 25-min breath sampling intervals are optimal for the (13)C-UBT in healthy volunteers.

Epidemiology of uninvestigated dyspepsia was studied in the Czech Republic for the first time in 2001. The aim of our current multi-centre prospective study was to evaluate dyspepsia using the same methods in a representative sample of general unselected population from the same geographical areas 10 years later. A total of 22 centres entered the study. A total of 1,836 subjects (aged 5-98 years) were enrolled. The overall prevalence of dyspepsia was 12 %; namely 3.5 % in subjects aged 5-24 years, 18 % among 25-64-year-old persons and 15 % in subjects 65 years. Despite the substantial decrease of Helicobacter pylori infection in the Czech Republic over the past 10 years, the prevalence and basic socio-demographic determinants of uninvestigated dyspepsia did not change significantly.

To evaluate vital signs and body indices in Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) positive and negative persons. A total of 22 centres entered the study. They were spread over the whole country, corresponding well to the geographical distribution of the Czech population. A total of 1818 subjects (aged 5-98 years) took part in the study, randomly selected out of 38147 subjects. H. pylori infection was investigated by means of a 13C-urea breath test. Data on height, weight, systolic and diastolic blood pressure and heart rate were collected at the clinics of general practitioners. The overall prevalence of H. pylori infection was 30.4% (402/1321) in adults (≥ 18 year-old) and 5.2% (26/497) in children and adolescents (≤ 17 year-old). Once adjusted for age and gender, only a difference in body mass index remained statistically significant with H. pylori positive adults showing an increase of 0.6 kg/m(2) in body mass index. Once adjusted for age and gender, we found a difference in height between H. pylori positive and H. pylori negative children and adolescents. On further adjustment for place of residence, this difference became statistically significant, with H. pylori positive children and adolescents being on average 3.5 cm shorter. H. pylori positive adults were significantly older compared to H. pylori negative subjects. Once adjusted for age and gender, H. pylori infection had no impact on body weight, body mass index and vital signs either in adults or children and adolescents. Chronic H. pylori infection appeared to be associated with short stature in children. H. pylori infection did not influence blood pressure, body weight and body mass index either in adults or children and adolescents.

Whipple’s disease is a chronic infectious systemic disease caused by the bacteriumTropheryma whipplei. Nondeforming arthritis is frequently an initial complaint. Gastrointestinal and general symptoms include marked diarrhoea (with serious malabsorption), abdominal pain, prominent weight loss, and low-grade fever. Possible neurologic symptoms (up to 20%) might be associated with worse prognosis. Diagnosis is based on the clinical picture and small intestinal histology revealing foamy macrophages containing periodic-acid-Schiff- (PAS-) positive material. Long-term (up to one year) antibiotic therapy provides a favourable outcome in the vast majority of cases. This paper provides review of the literature and an analysis of our 5 patients recorded within a 20-year period at a tertiary gastroenterology centre. Patients were treated using i.v. penicillin G or amoxicillin-clavulanic acid + i.v. gentamicin for two weeks, followed by p.o. doxycycline (100 mg per day) plus p.o. salazopyrine (3 g per day) for 1 year. Full remission was achieved in all our patients.

AIM: To study possible decrease in prevalence of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection in the Czech Republic within a 10-year period. METHODS: A total of 22 centres entered the study. The catchment areas of these centres covered cities and towns with more than 20 000 inhabitants, smaller towns (≤ 20 000 inhabitants) with surrounding villages and rural areas, and were spread over the whole country, corresponding well to the geographical distribution of the Czech population. A total of 1 837 subjects (aged 5-98 years) took part in the study, randomly selected out of 38 147 people from the general population. H. pylori infection was investigated by means of a 13C-urea breath test. Breath samples in duplicates were analysed using isotope ratio mass spectrometry. The cut-off point was 3.5. Social and demographic characteristics were based on data from self-completed questionnaires. RESULTS: The overall prevalence of H. pylori infection was 23.5% (430/1826), and 4.8% (20/420) in children aged 15 or less. There was no statistically significant difference in prevalence between males (24.3%; 208/857) and females (22.9%, 222/969, P = 0.494). H. pylori infection was strongly associated with higher age, among subjects aged 55+ years, prevalence of H. pylori infection was 39.8% (252/633, P < 0.001). The highest prevalence of H. pylori infection was found among persons aged 55-64 years (43.9%, 97/221) and 75+ years (37.9%, 58/153). Among study subjects aged 15+ years, prevalence of H. pylori infection was significantly increased in those with lowest education (odds risk 3.19, 95% CI 1.87-5.47). Compared to never married (14.1%), the prevalence of H. pylori infection was statistically significantly higher among married (35.4%, 246/694, P < 0.001), divorced (36.8%, 49/133, P < 0.001) and widowed study subjects (40.2%, 45/112, P < 0.001), both in minimally and fully adjusted analysis. There was no significant difference in the prevalence of H. pylori infection between married and widowed subjects (35.4%, 246/694 vs 40.2%, 45/112, P = 0.389). There was little variation in smoking prevalence across categories of smoking and there was no evidence of an increased risk of H. pylori infection among current or past smokers in our data (odds risk 1.04 with 95% CI 0.78-1.40 for current smokers; odds ratio 0.83 with 95% CI 0.60-1.16 for former smokers). The current prevalence of H. pylori in 2011 was significantly lower compared to the prevalence reported from identical geographical areas in 2001 (23.5% vs 41.7%, P < 0.001). CONCLUSION: The overall prevalence of H. pylori infection in the general population has fallen substantially in the Czech Republic over the past 10 years.

It has been hypothesized that Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection may contribute to reduced stature, risk of hypertension or obesity. The aim was to evaluate body indices in Hp positive and negative persons. A total of 2436 subjects (4-100 years old) were tested for Hp status by (13)C-urea breath test. Data on height and weight were collected for 84%, and blood pressure for 80% of the study subjects. The prevalence of Hp infection was 41.6%. The odds ratio for a 10-year increase in age was 1.21 (95% CI 1.17-1.25, p-value0.001). Statistically significant negative association of Hp positivity with body height was most pronounced in the younger age groups, while a positive association of Hp positivity with body mass index was only seen in those aged 15+ years. There was a negative effect of Hp positivity on systolic and diastolic blood pressure in subjects below 25 and a relatively strong positive effect on blood pressure in subjects over 65 years. Residual confounding by social characteristics as a possible explanation for the associations of Hp positivity with height and blood pressure cannot be excluded. Unmeasured factors related to social and family environment may cause the apparent association between Hp positivity and children's growth and blood pressure.

Electrogastrography (EGG) is a non-invasive method for the assessment of gastric myoelectrical activity. Porcine EGG is comparable with human one. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of atropine and neostigmine on the EGG in experimental pigs. Adult female pigs were administrated atropine (1.5 mg i.m., n=6) and neostigmine (0.5 mg i.m., n=6) after the baseline EGG, followed by a 90-min trial recording (MMS, Enschede, the Netherlands). Running spectral analysis was used for the evaluation. The results were expressed as dominant frequency of slow waves and EGG power (areas of amplitudes). Neostigmine increased continuously the dominant frequency and decreased significantly the EGG power. Atropine did not change the dominant frequency significantly. However, atropine increased significantly the EGG power (areas of amplitudes) from basal values to the maximum at the 10-20-min interval. After that period, the areas of amplitudes decreased significantly to the lowest values at the 60-90-min interval. In conclusion, cholinergic and anticholinergic agents affect differently EGG in experimental pigs.
