4. Transmission loss and radiated electric field characteristics of transmission medium for ubiquitous network

Abstract

Transmission loss and radiated electric field characteristics of the pipe-based transmission line as new transmission medium are calculated by using the method of moment, and it is clear that the calculated values almost agreed with measured values. In addition, it is confirmed that the pipe based transmission system can obtain dynamic range of about 69 dB and realize secure transmission, even if the radiated electric field from the pipe-based transmission line comply with the limit of the information technology equipment specified by VCCI. Abstract

IEEE1394 and Ethernet systems are being extensively adopted for data communications equipment, including audiovisual equipment and personal computers. This paper proposes a wiring system that enables the simultaneous transmission of IEEE1394 signals and Ethernet signals along a single UTP. CAT5 cable consisting of four twisted pairs. The requirements of this wiring system were determined by taking into account the specifications of both IEEEI394 and Ethernet systems and the actual domestic environment. Home Network adapters were developed to connect IEEE1394 and Ethernet cable to UTP cable. Insertion loss, crosstalk, and eye-diagrams were measured to evaluate the system's performance. The results show that our proposed wiring system is capable of transmitting both the IEEE1394 signal and the Ethernet signal simultaneously at 100 Mbps up to a distance of 100 m along a UTP-CAT5 cable.

8. Recent Progress in Fiber Optic Antennas for EMC Measurement

Abstract

Recent progress in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) technology has created a need for small and wideband antennas that can be used to measure the quality of EMC measurement facilities and to measure electric field strength for immunity tests and human hazard studies. Antennas using fiber optics are being developed because this kind of antenna has the wideband property and can eliminate the influence of the coaxial cable. This paper first summarizes the development of fiber optic antennas for EMC measurement and the construction of practical fiber optic antennas. It then describes the recent progress that has been made in Japan. This progress includes the electromagnetic source and the electric field sensor using a spherical dipole antenna with O/E or E/O converters, and it includes a wideband electric field sensor using electro-optical crystals.

Abstract

電子機器で使用される周波数が高くなるに従って,集中定数的な放射妨害波対策部品は限界が生じており,差動モード伝送によるプリント基板からの放射妨害波抑制法が検討されている.しかし,これらの検討の多くは理論解析が中心であり,実験及び理論解析の両面から高周波帯域において検討した例はない.本論文では,簡易に放射妨害波抑制効果を求めることを目的として,パラレルマイクロストリップ線路を実効比誘電率と等価ワイヤを用いてモデル化することにより,差動モード伝送と同相モード伝送より放射される電磁界をモーメント法を用いて求め,測定値と比較することにより差動モード伝送の放射抑制効果の検討をした.その結果,同相モード伝送においては,放射される電界の最大値の測定植と解析値の偏差は,100MHz～3GHzでは2GHz付近を除きほぼ5dB以内であること,また,抑制効果についても,1～3GHzで測定値と解析値の偏差が5dB以内であることが分かった.この解析モデルを用いた検討の結果,1対のパラレルマイクロストリップ線路の間隔を5mmから1mmにすることにより1～3GHzで放射抑制効果を5～10dB改善できること,曲がりにより5dB程度抑制効果が低下すること,1対のパラレルマイクロストリップ線路の片端からの線路長の偏差が10%になると放射抑制効果が1～3GHzで5～20dB低下することが分かった.

11. 導体球の散乱電界を用いた放射イミュニティ試験電磁界印加装置の特性評価

Abstract

情報技術装置の放射イミュニティ試験では電波暗室・TEMセル・GTEMセル等の電磁界印加装置が使用されている.これらについて,供試機器のない場合の電界均一性等の特性は評価されているが,供試機器が存在する場合の電界分布等の特性は評価されていない.本論文では,これらの電磁界印加装置がいずれも平面波を模擬した電磁界を発生するように設計されている点に着目し,平面波が導体球に入射したときに周囲にできる電界分布を基準として,印加装置内に供試機器が設置された場合の電界分布を評価・比較した.更に,各印加装置内でイミュニティ試験が可能な供試機器の大きさについて評価した結果も示している.評価方法としては,まず自由空間中の導体球に平面波が入射したときの散乱電界理論値を求め,つぎにこの理論値と各電磁界印加装置内における導体球周囲の電界測定値を比較した.その結果,電波暗室の場合が最も理論値との偏差が小さく,かつ周波数による変動が少ないことがわかった.またTEMセル・GTMセルの場合,供試機器の大きさが内部導体の外部導体の間隔の1/3以下であれば,理論値と測定値との偏差は+6dB以下になることがわかった.
