Abstract The Internet of Things technology allows you to transfer data to any asset through communication networks such as the Internet or intranet. One of the most important problems is security, which includes confidentiality, authenticity validation, and completeness. Among security problems, the most important ones are ensuring authenticity and protecting privacy. The elliptic curve encryption algorithm is famous protocols for maintaining privacy and verifying authenticity. Despite the capabilities they have and provide good security against network attacks, they face challenges such as response time, delay in the authentication and authentication process, as well as the amount of memory consumed. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security process where users provide two different authentication factors to authenticate themselves. It also provides a higher level of security than authentication methods that rely on single-factor authentication (SFA). This article presents two novel methods for 2FA that use encryption techniques, scramble architecture, and chord architecture. These methods allow for the authentication process to be initiated by both parties involved in the communication. Three scenarios and three metrics of reaction time, memory usage, and connection latency were used to assess the efficacy of the suggested approach. The average reaction time is improved and is 0.012 s when the lengths of the finger table in the chord structure are increased to 10, 15, and 20. The findings show that the suggested approach reduces computing complexity, reaction time, and communication latency. It has an average reaction time of 0.016 s, an average memory use of 30,360 kb, and an average connection latency of 0.042 s.

Abstract The regulatory mechanism of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in autophagy is as yet not well established. In this research, we show that the long non-coding RNA MLLT4 antisense RNA 1 (lncRNA MLLT4-AS1) is induced by the MTORC inhibitor PP242 and rapamycin in cervical cells. Overexpression of MLLT4-AS1 promotes autophagy and inhibits tumorigenesis and the migration of cervical cancer cells, whereas knockdown of MLLT4-AS1 attenuates PP242-induced autophagy. Mass spectrometry, RNA fluorescence in situ hybridization (RNA-FISH), and immunoprecipitation assays were performed to identify the direct interactions between MLLT4-AS1 and other associated targets, such as myosin-9 and autophagy-related 14(ATG14). MLLT4-AS1 was upregulated by H3K27ac modification with PP242 treatment, and knockdown of MLLT4-AS1 reversed autophagy by modulating ATG14 expression. Mechanically, MLLT4-AS1 was associated with the myosin-9 protein, which further promoted the transcription activity of the ATG14 gene. In conclusion, we demonstrated that MLLT4-AS1 acts as a potential tumor suppressor in cervical cancer by inducing autophagy, and H3K27ac modification-induced upregulation of MLLT4-AS1 could cause autophagy by associating with myosin-9 and promoting ATG14 transcription.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a major cause of cancer mortality and a serious health problem worldwide. Mononuclear phagocytes are the main immune cells in the tumor microenvironment of CRC with remarkable plasticity, and current studies show that macrophages are closely related to tumor progression, invasion and dissemination. To understand the immunological function of mononuclear phagocytes comprehensively and deeply, we use single-cell RNA sequencing and classify mononuclear phagocytes in CRC into 6 different subsets, and characterize the heterogeneity of each subset. We find that tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases (TIMPs) involved in the differentiation of proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory mononuclear phagocytes. Trajectory of circulating monocytes differentiation into tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) and the dynamic changes at levels of transcription factor (TF) regulons during differentiation were revealed. We also find that C5 subset, characterized by activation of lipid metabolism, is in the terminal state of differentiation, and that the abundance of C5 subset is negatively correlated with CRC patients' prognosis. Our findings advance the understanding of circulating monocytes' differentiation into macrophages, identify a new subset associated with CRC prognosis, and reveal a set of TF regulons regulating mononuclear phagocytes differentiation, which are expected to be potential therapeutic targets for reversing immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.

The microbial profile of milk can influence the quality of raw milk and milk products. To investigate whether the feeding styles of goats affected their milk microbiota profile, two local goat farms with different feeding styles (pasture and indoor feeding) were selected. Milk samples contained 10 colostrum samples (5 from pasture-raised goats and 5 from indoor-fed goats) and 12 mature milk samples (7 from pasture-raised goats and 5 from indoor-fed goats) were collected. 16S rDNA sequences of these samples were amplified and further subjected to alpha- and beta-diversity analysis, principal coordinates analysis (PCoA), linear discriminant analysis effect size (LEfSe) analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis. The result showed that pasture-raised goats showed higher milk microbial abundance and diversity than indoor-fed goats. Specifically, Propionibacterium, Weeksellaceae, Lactobacillus, Cloacibacterium, and Yersinia were enriched in colostrum and Betaproteobacteria, Pseudomonadales, Moraxellaceae, Lactobacillales, Brevibacterium, Acinetobacter, Alcaligenaceae, Enhydrobacter, Brevundimonas, and Gluconacetobacter were enriched in mature milk of pasture-raised goats. In addition, the functional metabolic genes of the milk microbiota differed significantly in goats of these two farms. Altogether, the present study analyzed the microbiota of colostrum and mature milk of goats and suggested that feeding style could profoundly affect the composition of milk microbiota.

Tumour repopulating cells (TRC) are stem-like cells that can escape immune-mediated killing. Here, the authors show IFN-γ results in either dormancy or apoptosis of TRC depending on the activation of the IDO1 metabolic pathway, and that combining IFN-γ with IDO1 inhibitors results in enhanced tumour regression.

Human tumors exhibit plasticity and evolving capacity over time. It is difficult to study the mechanisms of how tumors change over time in human patients, in particular during the early stages when a few oncogenic cells are barely detectable. Here, we used a Drosophila tumor model caused by loss of scribble (scrib), a highly conserved apicobasal cell polarity gene, to investigate the spatial-temporal dynamics of early tumorigenesis events. The fly scrib mutant tumors have been successfully used to model many aspects of tumorigenesis processes. However, it is still unknown whether Drosophila scrib mutant tumors exhibit plasticity and evolvability along the temporal axis. We found that scrib mutant tumors displayed different growth rates and cell cycle profiles over time, indicative of a growth arrest-to-proliferation transition as the scrib mutant tumors progress. Longitudinal bulk and single-cell transcriptomic analysis of scrib mutant tumors revealed that the MAPK pathway, including JNK and ERK signaling activities, showed quantitative changes over time. We found that high JNK signaling activity caused G2/M cell cycle arrest in early scrib mutant tumors. In addition, JNK signaling activity displayed a radial polarity with the JNKhigh cells located at the periphery of scrib mutant tumors, providing an inherent mechanism that leads to an overall decrease in JNK signaling activity over time. We also found that ERK signaling activity, in contrast to JNK activity, increased over time and promoted growth in late-stage scrib mutant tumors. Furthermore, high JNK signaling activity repressed ERK signaling activity in early scrib mutant tumors. Together, these data demonstrate that dynamic MAPK signaling activity, fueled by intratumor heterogeneity derived from tissue topological differences, drives a growth arrest-to-proliferation transition in scrib mutant tumors. Stem cell-like tumor-repopulating cells (TRCs) have a critical role in establishing a tumor immunosuppressive microenvironment. However, means to enhance antitumor immunity by disrupting TRCs are absent. Our previous studies have shown that tumor cell-derived microparticles (T-MPs) preferentially abrogate TRCs by delivering antitumor drugs into nuclei of TRCs. Here, we show that low dose irradiation (LDI) enhances the effect of cisplatin-packaging T-MPs (Cis-MPs) on TRCs, leading to inhibiting tumor growth in different tumor models. This antitumor effect is not due to the direct killing of tumor cells but is T cell-dependent and relies on macrophages for their efficacy. The underlying mechanism is involved in therapeutic reprograming macrophages from tumor-promotion to tumor-inhibition by disrupting TRCs and curtailing their vicious education on macrophages. These findings provide a novel strategy to reset macrophage polarization and confer their function more like M1 than M2 types with highly promising potential clinical applications.

Fusarium verticillioides (teleomorph, Gibberella moniliformis) is an important plant pathogen that causes seedling blight, stalk rot, and ear rot in maize (Zea mays). During infection, F. verticillioides produce fumonsins B1 (FB1) that pose a serious threat to human and animal health. Recent studies showed that Set1, a methyltransferase of H3K4, was responsible for toxin biosynthesis in filamentous fungi. However, to date, the regulation of FvSet1 on FB1 biosynthesis remains unclear. In the current study, we identified only one Set1 ortholog in F. verticillioides (FvSet1) and found that the deletion of FvSET1 led to various defects in fungal growth and pathogenicity. More interestingly, the FvSET1 deletion mutant (ΔFvSet1) showed a significant defect in FB1 biosynthesis and lower expression levels of FUM genes. FvSet1 was also found to play an important role in the responses of F. verticillioides to multiple environmental stresses via regulating the phosphorylation of FvMgv1 and FvHog1. Taken together, these results indicate that FvSet1 plays essential roles in the regulation of FB1 biosynthesis, fungal growth and virulence, as well as various stress responses in F. verticillioides.

Abstract Background Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) treatment brings more benefits than risks to most coronary heart disease (CHD) patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). However, the pathophysiological mechanism by which CPAP treatment improves the prognosis of patients with CHD and OSA remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to clarify whether CPAP can improve arterial stiffness and inflammatory factor levels in CHD patients with OSA, and to further improve prognosis. Method 59 patients with coronary heart disease complicated by moderate to severe sleep apnea were divided into a CPAP treatment group (CPAP + coronary heart disease standard treatment) and a control group (only coronary heart disease standard treatment). Peripheral blood test reports were collected and pulse wave velocity (PWV) measurements were performed for each patient at the beginning, 3 months, and 6 months of treatment. Results After 6 months of treatment, the CPAP group showed more significant improvement in the levels of inflammatory factors such as white blood cell (WBC), neutrophil (N), C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), procalcitonin (PCT), and PWV than the control group. Conclusion After active treatment with CPAP, arterial stiffness and inflammatory cytokine levels in patients with coronary heart disease and OSA improved. This association should be given more attention in clinical practice, and sleep apnea should be actively treated.

Abstract Background Building on the job demands–resources (JD–R) model and regulatory focus theory, this study examined how regulatory foci shaped the effects of different job demands and resources on both negative and positive workplace outcomes among medical staff. Methods Two independent studies (N Study 1 = 267; N Study 2 = 350) were designed for cross-validation. Participants completed a battery of measures evaluating job demands (workload, emotional demands, interpersonal stress), job resources (psychological safety, perceived organizational support, servant leadership), and well-being (job burnout, affective commitment, job satisfaction). Results Multiple linear regression analyses showed employees’ well-being was affected by job demands and resources through energetic and motivational processes, respectively. BackgroundPD-1 inhibitors have shown promising efficacy in enhancing OS and AEs as second-line therapies for patients with advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). However, there remains no clear consensus on which PD-1 inhibitor provides the best balance between efficacy and safety. To address this key issue in the second-line treatment of ESCC, we conducted a network meta-analysis (NMA) with a focus on OS benefits, particularly in patients with different levels of PD-L1 expression.MethodsA systematic search of relevant literature was conducted in Web of Science, Embase, PubMed, and Cochrane Library, covering publications from the inception of these database to June 2024. The evaluated endpoints included OS, progression-free survival (PFS), objective response rate (ORR), AEs, and Grade ≥ 3 adverse events (Grade ≥ 3 AEs). A systematic review and Bayesian network meta-analysis were performed to assess the efficacy and safety of various immunotherapy regimens in patients with advanced ESCC. To ensure transparency, novelty, and reliability, this study was prospectively registered in the systematic review registry (CRD42024540581).ResultsFive randomized controlled trials (RCTs), encompassing 2,078 patients and six treatment regimens, were included in this study. Among advanced ESCC patients not selected based on PD-L1 expression, Sintilimab demonstrated the greatest OS benefit (HR = 0.70, 95% CI: 0.50-0.98). Camrelizumab showed the most favorable improvement in PFS compared to chemotherapy (HR = 0.64, 95% CI: 0.47-0.87) and also achieved the best ORR benefit (OR = 3.72, 95% CI: 1.98-6.99). In terms of safety, Nivolumab (OR = 0.10, 95% CI: 0.05-0.19) and Tislelizumab (OR = 0.18, 95% CI: 0.10-0.33) exhibited significant safety advantages over chemotherapy concerning AEs. Moreover, Nivolumab (OR = 0.13, 95% CI: 0.08-0.20) was associated with a markedly lower risk of Grade ≥ 3 AEs compared to chemotherapy. Subgroup analysis based on PD-L1 expression revealed that Tislelizumab (HR = 0.53, 95% CI: 0.37-0.76) offered the greatest OS benefit for patients with PD-L1 ≥ 10%, while Camrelizumab (HR = 0.71, 95% CI: 0.57-0.89) was the most likely regimen to provide an OS advantage for patients with PD-L1 < 10%.ConclusionCompared to chemotherapy, PD-1 inhibitors may provide improved survival outcomes for patients with advanced ESCC. Among patients not selected based on PD-L1 expression, Sintilimab is most likely to deliver the best survival benefit. Abstract Background Toxoplasma gondii is a zoonotic protozoan parasite with a heteroxenus life cycle that involves felids as the definitive hosts and any warm-blooded animal, including humans, as intermediate hosts. Cats are key players in parasite transmission as they are capable of shedding high numbers of oocysts in their feces that contaminate the environment. Methods The study was performed on 31 domestic cats (31.23 ± 27.18 months old) originating from rural and urban areas (5.17:1) in the center and north-west Romania. Feces (n = 31), blood (n = 28), and heart samples (n = 27) were collected. Fecal samples were analyzed by flotation technique, and PCR (529 bp repetitive element). Fecal samples with T. gondii oocysts were bioassayed in mice. Serum samples were analyzed by modified agglutination test and ImmunoComb for the detection of specific anti-T. gondii IgG antibodies. Heart samples were bioassayed in mice, and analyzed by PCR. Toxoplasma gondii positive samples were genotyped by nPCR-RFLP targeting eleven genetic loci (SAG1, SAG2, alt-SAG2, SAG3, BTUB, GRA6, c22-8, c29-2, L358, PK1, and Apico). Results Toxoplasma gondii oocysts were found in 2 out of 31 fecal samples collected from a 3-months old stray kitten, and a 4-years old female. In total, 17 out of 27 sera were positive for T. gondii IgG antibodies. The antibody titers in MAT ranged from 1:6 to 1:384. Toxoplasma gondii DNA was detected in 7 out of 27 heart samples, and four of them were positive also by bioassay. Six T. gondii DNA samples from bioassayed mice could be assigned to ToxoDB PCR-RFLP genotype #1 or #3 (Type II) and one T. gondii DNA from heart digest to genotype #2 (Type III). Both of these genotypes are common in Europe. Conclusions Our results revealed that the infection with T. gondii is still high in cats from Romania. The oocysts shedded by these cats represent an important source of infection for intermediate hosts, including humans. Further studies on a wider range of cases are necessary for a more exhaustive definition of the T. gondii genotypes circulating in Romania.

In this study, we sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome of the shield-faced leaf-nosed bat (Hipposideros lylei Thomas, 1914) using the Illumina platform. The mitochondrial genome of H. lylei is 16,856 bp in length, encoding 37 genes, which include 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, two rRNA genes, one replication start, and one non-coding control region (D-loop) of 417 bp in length. It has a G + C content of 42.0%, lower than the A + T content, indicating an obvious AT base preference. Phylogenetic analyses revealed that H. lylei clusters with three species of the genus Hipposideros in one branch and is relatively closely related to H. armiger and H. larvatus.

Abstract Transposable elements (TEs) contribute to gene expression regulation by acting as cis-regulatory elements that attract transcription factors and epigenetic regulators. This research aims to explore the functional and clinical implications of transposable element-related molecular events in hepatocellular carcinoma, focusing on the mechanism through which liver-specific accessible TEs (liver-TEs) regulate adjacent gene expression. Our findings reveal that the expression of HNF4A is inversely regulated by proximate liver-TEs, which facilitates liver cancer cell proliferation. Mechanistically, liver-TEs are predominantly occupied by the histone demethylase, KDM1A. KDM1A negatively influences the methylation of histone H3 Lys4 (H3K4) of liver-TEs, resulting in the epigenetic silencing of HNF4A expression. The suppression of HNF4A mediated by KDM1A promotes liver cancer cell proliferation. In conclusion, this study uncovers a liver-TE/KDM1A/HNF4A regulatory axis that promotes liver cancer growth and highlights KDM1A as a promising therapeutic target. Our findings provide insight into the transposable element-related molecular mechanisms underlying liver cancer progression.

In order to explore the characteristics of the mitochondrial genome sequence of Pratt’s leaf-nosed bat (Hipposideros pratti Thomas 1891) and understand their phylogenetic status in Chiroptera, this study determined the mitochondrial genome sequences of H. pratti from five regions in China using high-throughput sequencing technology, sequence assembly, and genome annotation. The results showed that these sequences contained 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, 2 rRNA genes, and 1 non-coding region, all exhibiting a significant AT bias. Based on the phylogenetic tree constructed using 13 protein-coding genes from 15 Chiroptera species, the study found that H. pratti from the five regions clustered together, and then clustered with H. lylei into a single clade. Meanwhile, H. pratti from Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guangdong regions of China showed closer genetic relationships, while H. pratti from Yunnan and Henan regions of China exhibited closer genetic relationships. This study not only supplemented the mitochondrial genome database of H. pratti but also laid a foundation for genetic variation, molecular classification, and evolutionary studies of H. pratti.

Abstract Background The interplay between Toxoplasma gondii infection and tumor development is intriguing and not yet fully understood. Some studies showed that T. gondii reversed tumor immune suppression, while some reported the opposite, stating that T. gondii infection promoted tumor growth. Methods We created three mouse models to investigate the interplay between T. gondii and tumor. Model I aimed to study the effect of tumor growth on T. gondii infection by measuring cyst number and size. Models II and III were used to investigate the effect of different stages of T. gondii infection on tumor development via flow cytometry and bioluminescent imaging. Mouse strains (Kunming, BALB/c, and C57BL/6J) with varying susceptibilities to tumors were used in the study. Results The size and number of brain cysts in the tumor-infected group were significantly higher, indicating that tumor presence promotes T. gondii growth in the brain. Acute T. gondii infection, before or after tumor cell introduction, decreased tumor growth manifested by reduced bioluminescent signal and tumor size and weight. In the tumor microenvironment, CD4+ and CD8+ T cell number, including their subpopulations (cytotoxic CD8+ T cells and Th1 cells) had a time-dependent increase in the group with acute T. gondii infection compared with the group without infection. However, in the peripheral blood, the increase of T cells, including cytotoxic CD8+ T cells and Th1 cells, persisted 25 days after Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC) cell injection in the group with acute T. gondii. Chronic T. gondii infection enhanced tumor growth as reflected by increase in tumor size and weight. The LLC group with chronic T. gondii infection exhibited decreased percentages of cytotoxic CD8+ T cells and Th1 cells 25 days post-LLC injection as compared with the LLC group without T. gondii infection. At week 4 post-LLC injection, chronic T. gondii infection increased tumor formation rate [odds ratio (OR) 1.71] in both KM and BALB/c mice. Conclusions Our research elucidates the dynamics between T. gondii infection and tumorigenesis. Tumor-induced immune suppression promoted T. gondii replication in the brain. Acute and chronic T. gondii infection had opposing effects on tumor development. Graphical Abstract

Astragaloside IV(AS-IV), the main active ingredient of Astragalus, has been used as a treatment for heart failure with favorable effects, but its molecular mechanism has not been fully elucidated. Network pharmacological analysis and molecular docking revealed that Heat shock transcription factor 1 (HSF1) is a potential target of AS-IV. We designed cellular and animal experiments to investigate the role and intrinsic molecular mechanisms of AS-IV in ameliorating pressure overload-induced heart failure. In cellular experiments, Myocardial microvascular endothelial cells (MMVECs) were cultured in isolation and stimulated by adding high and low concentrations of AS-IV, and a cell model with down-regulation of HSF1 expression was constructed by using siRNA technology. Changes in the expression of key molecules of HSF1/VEGF signaling pathway and differences in tube-forming ability were detected in different groups of cells using PCR, WB and tube-forming assay. In animal experiments, TAC technology was applied to establish a pressure overload-induced heart failure model in C57 mice, postoperative mice were ingested AS-IV by gavage, and adenoviral transfection technology was applied to construct a mouse model with down-regulation of HSF1 expression.Small animal ultrasound for cardiac function assessment, MASSON staining, CD31 immunohistochemistry, and Western blotting (WB) were performed on the mice. The results showed that AS-IV could promote the expression of key molecules of HSF1/VEGF signaling pathway, enhance the tube-forming ability of MMVECs, increase the density of myocardial capillaries, reduce myocardial fibrosis, and improve the cardiac function of mice with TAC.AS-IV could modulate the HSF1/VEGF signaling pathway to promote the angiogenesis and improve the pressure overload-induced heart failure.

As rice yield rises, the issue of broken axis windings in mature rice threshing drums is becoming increasingly severe. To disclose the winding characteristics and signal traits of the drums during the threshing process of mature rice, this paper undertakes an analysis of the winding characteristics and signals of the drums in rice with the assistance of a vibration test and analysis system. Since rice can lead to drum winding and shaft breakage, this paper alters the driving mode of the drums to exhibit the influence of rice on them. Firstly, the transfer characteristics of the frame need to be studied and analyzed, followed by subsequent research. The test results indicate that the horizontal displacement of the cylinder axial trajectory rises with the growth of the transmission chain, while the vertical displacement drops with the growth of the transmission chain. Additionally, to investigate the effect of mature rice on the threshing performance of horizontal axis II and horizontal axis III, a control variable method was employed. This approach allowed for the observation of how mature rice influences the threshing roller by systematically adjusting both the threshing gap and the rotational speed of the roller. It can be discerned from the test results that with the reduction of the threshing gap of affected mature rice, the unstripped rate gradually declines, while the entrainment loss rate gradually increases. As the rotational speed of horizontal shaft roller III increases, the rate of uncleared material gradually decreases, while the rate of entrainment loss progressively rises. The research findings can furnish a reference for the winding characteristics of rice on rollers and the enhancement of vehicle driving comfort.

Papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is the most common endocrine malignancy. The incidence of PTC has increased annually worldwide. Thus, PTC diagnosis and treatment attract more attention. Noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play crucial roles in PTC progression and act as prognostic biomarkers. Moreover, microRNAs (miRNAs) and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT)-associated proteins have potential biomarkers for diagnosing and treating PTC. However, the correlation of lncRNAs with miRNAs and EMT-associated proteins needs further clarification. The present review highlights the recent advances of lncRNAs in PTC. We significantly summarized the two molecular regulatory mechanisms in PTC progress, including lncRNAs-miRNAs-protein signaling axes and lncRNAs-EMT pathways. This review will help our understanding of the association between lncRNAs and PTC and may assist us in evaluating the prognosis for PTC patients. Taken together, targeting the lncRNAs regulatory network has promising applications in diagnosing and treating PTC.

Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), as pollutants, can cause palpable environmental and health impacts around the world, as endocrine disruptors, can disrupt endocrine homeostasis and increase the risk of diseases. Chlorinated polyfluoroalkyl ether sulfonate (F-53B), as a substitute for PFAS, was determined to have potential toxicity. Puberty is the stage when sexual organs develop and hormones change dramatically, and abnormal uterine development can increase the risk of uterine lesions and lead to infertility. This study was designed to explore the impact of F-53B on uterine development during puberty. Four-week-old female SD rats were exposed to 0.125 and 6.25 mg/L F-53B during puberty. The results showed that F-53B interfered with growth and sex hormone levels and bound to oestrogen-related receptors, which affected their function, contributed to the accumulation of reactive oxygen species, promoted cell apoptosis and inhibited cell proliferation, ultimately causing uterine dysplasia.

ABSTRACT During the harvesting of waste straw in the field, a self-propelled baler undergoes significant oscillations in the longitudinal direction around its centre of gravity, which greatly affect the stability of operation and the comfort of the driver. In order to analyse the vibration characteristics of the main frame under multi-source excitation, the complete frame is divided into a chassis frame and a baling frame. A nine-degree-of-freedom vibration system model of the whole machine is established based on the relationship between the internal motion devices, and simulations are carried out using MATLAB/Simulink. In addition, a multi-body dynamics simulation of the compression device is carried out, and the law governing the variation in force at different unit points of the mechanism is analysed. Finally, the vibration response of the main frame under different working conditions is explored. The results show that the main frequency component of the frame in the no-load state is 80 Hz, and the main response frequency of the frame is about 1.6 Hz, a finding that is consistent with the operating frequency of the compression mechanism. In particular, the displacement amplitude of the simulated signal at the centroid position is consistent with that measured in experiments, which verifies the validity of the dynamic model. Our results can provide guidance for future work aiming to further reduce the body vibration amplitude and optimise the design of the frame.

This study aims to refine the ratio of alkali-activated steel slag (SS) to granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS)–cement-based grouting materials, with the dual objectives of cost reduction and performance enhancement. By employing single-factor experiments and response surface methodology (RSM), we have pinpointed the critical factors that influence the slurry’s performance and developed a regression model to assess the impact of these factors and their interplay. Our findings indicate that the compressive strength initially increases with higher SS content but subsequently declines. Additionally, an increase in alkali content and activator modulus is beneficial for strength improvement. However, beyond an alkali content of 8%, the 28-day strength is observed to decrease. Through meticulous model analysis, we have determined the optimal ratio to be 7.07% SS content, 7.82% alkali content, and an activator modulus of 1.8. The material’s performance at this ratio satisfies construction specifications. This research not only offers a cost-effective and high-performance grouting solution for geotechnical applications but also pioneers a novel approach to the resourceful utilization of solid waste materials, such as SS.

Due to the excellent quantum conversion and spectral response characteristics of the AlGaN photocathode, it has become the most promising III-V group semiconductor photocathode in solar-blind signal photoconversion devices in the ultraviolet band. Herein, the influence factors of the time-resolved characteristics of the AlGaN photocathode are researched by solving the photoelectron continuity equation and photoelectron flow density equation, such as the AlN/AlGaN interface recombination rate, AlGaN electron diffusion coefficient, and AlGaN activation layer thickness. The results show that the response time of the AlGaN photocathode decreases gradually with the increase in AlGaN photoelectron diffusion coefficient and AlN/AlGaN interface recombination rate, but the response time of the AlGaN photocathode gradually becomes saturated with the further increase in AlN/AlGaN interface recombination rate. When the thickness of the AlGaN photocathode is reduced from 250 nm to 50 nm, the response time of the AlGaN photocathode decreases from 63.28 ps to 9.91 ps, and the response time of AlGaN photocathode greatly improves. This study provides theoretical guidance for the development of a fast response UV detector.
