In this article, six new Fe3S2 cluster complexes Fe3(µ3S)2(CO)7[(Ph2P)2NR] (1-6) (R = (CH2)2CH3, CH(CH3)2, (CH2)3CH3, CH2CH(CH3)2, p-C6H4CCH and m-C6H4CCH) were successfully synthesized by reactions of Fe3S2(CO)9 and the corresponding aminodiphosphines under refluxing toluene. Meanwhile, treatment of Fe3S2(CO)9 and (Ph2P)2NCH(CH3)Ph afforded two new Fe3S2 cluster complexes Fe3(µ3-S)2(CO)7[(Ph2P)2NCH(CH3)Ph] (7) and Fe3(µ3-S)2(CO)7[(κ2-Ph2P)2NCH(CH3)(Ph)] (8). Complexes 1–8 were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, NMR spectroscopy, and especially X-ray crystallography. One undescribed lignan, one new natural product, along with fourteen known compounds, were isolated from the roots of Ficus hirta. The structures of the isolates were elucidated by comprehensive spectroscopic technologies, including UV, IR, HRESIMS, and NMR. The absolute configuration of 1 was determined by comparison of experimental and calculated ECD data. The cytotoxicity of all the compounds against HeLa and HepG2 cell lines was evaluated and compound 7 showed considerable cytotoxic effect towards HepG2 cells. Also, the apoptotic effect of 7 on HepG2 cells and the effect of 7 on the key proteins (p-JNK and p-p38) in MAPK (Mitogen-activated protein kinases) pathways were studied by flow cytometry and western blotting experiment. As a result, compound 7 induced the apoptosis of HepG2 cells, and dose-dependently increased the phosphorylation of JNK and p38. In this report, two diiron ethane-1,2-dithiolate carbonyl complexes with bridging 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane (dppp) or tris(3-fluorophenyl)phosphine have been synthesized and characterized. Treatment of complex [Fe2(CO)6(µ-SCH2CH2S)] (1) with a diphosphine ligand dppp or a monophosphine ligand tris(3-fluorophenyl)phosphine using Me3NO·2H2O as the decarbonylating reagent afforded the corresponding derivatives [{Fe2(CO)5(µ-SCH2CH2S)}2(Ph2PCH2CH2CH2PPh2)] (2) and [Fe2(CO)5(µ-SCH2CH2S){P(3-C6H4F)3}] (3) in 82% and 92% yields, respectively. Complexes 2 and 3 have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, NMR spectroscopy, as well as confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Two diiron ethane-1,2-dithiolate complexes were prepared and structurally characterized. Reactions of the parent complex [Fe2(CO)6(μ-SCH2CH2S)] (1) with tris(4-trifluoromethylphenyl)phosphine or triethyl phosphite and Me3NO·2H2O as the oxidative reagent resulted in the formation of the phosphine-substituted analog [Fe2(CO)5{P(4-C6H4CF3)3}(μ-SCH2CH2S)] (2) and phosphite-substituted analogue [Fe2(CO)5{P(OCH2CH3)3}(μ-SCH2CH2S)] (3) in 84% and 78% yields, respectively. Descaudatine A (1), an undescribed phenolic glycoside, along with a known analogue (2) and ten flavonoids (3-12), were isolated from the whole plant of Desmodium caudatum. Compounds 1 and 4 exhibited potent antioxidant activities with the IC50 of 58.59 μM and 31.31 μM, respectively, which were approached to that of the positive control Vitamin C (IC50 = 46.32 μM). Meanwhile, 12 showed moderate antioxidant activity with the IC50 of 173.9 μM. Besides, compounds 3 and 6 inhibited the proliferation of HeLa cells with IC50 values of 56.14 μM and 69.04 μM, respectively. Further studies indicated that 3 and 6 could dose-dependently induce PARP cleavage and might trigger caspase-3, 8, 9 activation to induce apoptosis. RXRα is an ideal anticancer target of nuclear receptor. Potato flour is rich in nutrients and is a good raw material for staple food products. Potato flour is used as the raw material to develop noodles, bread, steamed bun and other products, and improves the sensory quality of the products. In this paper, potato flour was used as the analysis object, the characteristics of the basic chemical composition of potato flour, such as protein, lipid and starch, were reviewed. The physical properties of potato flour, such as mass density, pH value, swell property, water-holding capacity and oil-holding capacity were analyzed. The rheological properties, viscosity, thermodynamic properties and microstructural characteristics of potato flour were described. The correlation among the basic chemical composition, physical properties and processing quality characteristics of potato was analyzed. The chemistry of the diiron dithiolato hexacarbonyl complex Fe2(μ‐edt)(CO)6 (edt, 1,2‐ethanedithiolate) has received special attention, largely because that its structure is similar with the active site of [FeFe]‐hydrogenase. In order to enrich the chemistry of complex Fe2(μ‐edt)(CO)6 and synthesize new hydrogen evolution catalysts, a new route to the diiron dithiolato hexacarbonyl complex Fe2(μ‐edt)(CO)6 was described. Reaction of Fe3(CO)12 and Me3SiSCH2CH2SSiMe3 in the presence of Et3N at 80 °C afforded Fe2(μ‐edt)(CO)6 in 90 % yield. Furthermore, reaction of Fe2(μ‐edt)(CO)6 and aminodiphosphine ligands (Ph2P)2NC6H4R (R=−3‐CCH, 4‐CCH) produced the new PNP‐chelated diiron dithiolato complexes Fe2(μ‐edt)(CO)4{κ2‐(Ph2P)2NC6H4R} (1 and 2). All the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, NMR spectroscopy, and particularly for 1 and 2 by X‐ray single diffraction analysis.
