This paper presents a bibliometric study on blood cancers, considering publications distributed from 2012 to 2021. The study focuses on the literature available in the MEDLINE database, concealed within PubMed. A total of 32,750 documents on ‘Blood cancers’ were identified in the MEDLINE data covered by PubMed, with the highest number of 4,429 documents distributed in 2020. The document types were categorised, revealing that 39.11% were journal articles, 26.32% were Research Support, Non-U.S. Gov’t and 19.72% were Reviews. In Zone-1, 61 journals scattered 4,384 documents, accounting for one-third of the overall output. Zone-2 comprised 424 journals scattering 4,805 documents, and Zone-3 included 1,906 journals scattering 3,620 documents as journal articles. This study identified a total of 485 significant journals within the field of blood cancers. The analysis revealed that 60.98% of documents had more than five authors, while only 0.29% had no authors. The average degree of collaboration reached 0.96. A period-wise examination of the degree of collaboration showed an increasing trend from 2012 (0.94) to 2020 (0.97). Presents an analysis of the literature in the field of Spinal Cord Injury as indexed the MEDLINE database in the Pubmed for the period 2008 to the 2017. It is noticed that the total of 28303 records on the literature of Spinal Cord Injury is covered. It is also noticed that the maximum number of records was published during year 2017. It was observed that the Journal Article consists of 41.73% and other publication types with different percentages. English language forming 95.07% of the total and other languages follows with minimum records. The United States has contributed the highest number of records in the study. 29 primary journals grouped in zone-1 published 3941 journal articles, the second zone comprises of 238 journals published 4031 journal articles and 1790 journals grouped in the third zone published 3840 journal articles. Of the 29 Journals in zone-1, twelve journals are published in the United States and followed by other countries. In zone-1 & 2; out of 267 journals, 37.45% frequently cited journals are the United States and India contributed eight journals. This paper analysis a literature of Dengue using bibliometric techniques, the records published during the year 2008 to 2017 in the MEDLINE data, which are covered by Pubmed. On the whole, it is observed that from 2008 onwards there is a gradual increase in research on Dengue. It was examined that 41.4% data are journal articles. It was also studied that United States is the major producer, followed by England and Netherlands in the area of Dengue literature. The literary production is observed in almost all the major countries covered. India has been ranked in the 4th position. 94.8% of the research output covered in English language and followed by Spanish, Portuguese and French. The Relative Growth Rate (RGR) has been decreased from 0.75 to 0.14 and the Doubling Time (Dt) increases from 0.92 to 5.02 in the study period. Indian efforts in Dengue research are greater in three years out of ten years of study, since the Activity Index is higher than 100, in those three years, which reflects higher activity of Dengue research than the World's average. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of the authorship pattern in the field of Ebola covered in the bibliographic database namely MEDLINE which covered in Pubmed for the period 1995-2014. MEDLINE covered the maximum of 2519 records during the study period i.e. 1995 to 2014. More than 52.75% of the total contributions represent collaborative research. The degree of collaboration has been arrived at 0.55.The value of Co-Authorship Index (CAI) for single author paper shows that the single author papers during first three blocks i.e. 1995-1999, 2000-2004 and 2005-2009 were below 100 which started increasing in the fourth block and the CAI was 128.73. This reveals that the single author papers were dominating in the recent years. Similarly, for two authored papers, during 2000-2004 and 2005-2009, the CAI was 135.33 and 133.79, and declined in other two blocks. The CAI for multi authored papers results shows that first three blocks i.e. 1995-1999, 2000-2004 and 2005-2009 were above 100 and in the fourth block it was below 100. Presents a bibliometric analysis of the literature in the field of Dengue as indexed the MEDLINE data which covered in the Pubmed for the period 2008 to 2017. It is noticed that total of 11826 records on literature of Dengue are covered for a period of ten years from 2008 to 2017. It is also noticed that the maximum number of records (1810) was published during year 2016, followed by 1540 in 2017 and 1520 in 2015. It was found that Journal Article (41.4%), Research Support, Non-U.S. Gov't (33.81%), Review (10.69%), Letter (3.61%), and Research Support, U.S. Gov't Non-P.H.S. (2.86%). 37 primary journals grouped in zone 1 published 1675 articles accounting for one third of the total output. Similarly the second zone comprises of 143 journals and 904 journals grouped in third zone. Of the 37 titles in zone-1, 12 are associated with United States and followed by England (9), Netherlands (5), India (4), Brazil (2), China (1), Germany (1), Japan (1), Sweden (1) and Thailand (1). This paper presents the analysis of core journals and subject-wise coverage of journals in the field of Vascular Diseases in Children for the period from 2012 to 2016 in the MEDLINE data which are covered in the Pubmed. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the core journals and its subject-wise coverage of journals in the field of Vascular Diseases in Children. It is found that the maximum number of records (6223) was published during the year 2015. The majority of the records were journal articles. 43 journals grouped in zone-1 published 4122 journal articles. In the second zone comprises of 263 journals published 4253 journal articles and 1749 journals published 3964 journal articles grouped in third zone. In zone-1, 15 journals are associated with Pediatrics, 8 with Cardiology, 4 with Cardiovascular Surgery, 3 with Neurology, 2 each with Neurosurgery, Surgery and Thoracic Surgery and 1 each with Dermatology, Genetics, Medicine, Nephrology, Oncology, Physiology and Radiology. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of the literature output in the field of Swine Flu covered in the bibliographic database namely MEDLINE. The literature covered in the database for the period 2005-2014 was considered. MEDLINE covered the maximum of 4441 records during the study period i.e. 2005 to 2014. It is found that maximum number of records were published during the year 2009. It was found that 34.02% are journal articles. 93.56% articles are of English language and followed by Chinese and Russian languages. United States has contributed the highest number of records in the study. India has the 5th position among the countries. RGR by year wise revealed a decreased trend and DT is in increasing trend except the year 2009. RGR and DT for Indian output on Swine Flu research shows that the RGR is in decreasing trend and DT has shown increased trends throughout the study period except the year 2011.32.70% of the contributors were by more than five authors and 68.15% covered by more than one author contribution. The average number of Degree of Collaboration is 0.70 which reveals that the collaboration research is evidence in the field of Swine Flu. 43 core journals grouped in zone-1 published 544 articles accounts for one third of the total output. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of the literature output in the field of Hepatitis C covered in the Journal Viz., Gastroenterology. The literature covered in the Journal for the period 2006-2010 was considered. Citation Analysis was used for this study. Records covered in the citation from the year 1908 to 2010 were found. This study was aimed to examine quantitatively the growth of literature in the field of 'Hepatitis C'. There were 137 articles from the source journal during the study period and these articles had a total of 5132 cited items. 97.97 % of the citations were publications from journals; 0.7% of the cited items were books, including proceedings; and 1.33 % cited items were miscellaneous formats. The year wise calculation of RGR for output has shown decreasing trends up to 2009 and increasing trend in 2010. The DT increased from 2.23 in 2007 to 2.66 in 2009 and it has gone down to 1.69 in 2010. The year wise analysis of RGR for Citations in Hepatitis C Research is in fluctuation trend throughout the study period. The DT increased from 2.77 in 2007 and decreased in 2008 (1.99) and then increased in 2009 (3.32) and decreased in 2010 (1.86). So it also clearly shows the fluctuation trend. RGR of journal articles covered in citations in the field of Hepatitis C research output from 1908 to 2010. The RGR is in fluctuation trend through out the study period. Similarly the DT for journal articles covered in citations has shown fluctuation trend through out the study period. Public libraries play a vital role in development of Adult and Continuing Education at gross root level in developing countries. The Continuing Education Programme is to provide life-long learning opportunities to all people beyond basic literacy and primary education. For this Continuing Education Libraries are the sole source. The study focused the pattern of functioning of the system of Continuing Education Library users. The literacy programme implemented by Corporation of Chennai has gone through 3rd phase like Total Literacy Campaign (TLC), Post Literacy Programme (PLP) and Continuing Education Programme (CEP) benefiting of the slum population.
