AbstractThe public sector has many challenges when improving business processes. One of those challenges is managing the projects’ success by considering the context and constraints of public management and business process management (BPM). Moreover, the importance of the elements that will drive success can be different depending on the stakeholder and the stage of the project (e.g. initiation, executing, closing), which adds another ingredient of complexity to project management. Aiming to give project management the capacity to manage success criteria and success factors in BPM projects, this research used action research to develop an integrated model of a project management methodology (PRINCE2) and Success Management. A government-to-government BPM project was conducted as a case study to evaluate the model developed. In addition to the integrated model, another contribution of this work is the proposal of two general lists of success criteria and success factors from the perspectives of the client and project team.

Os mapas topográficos têm evoluído de cartas analógicas para bancos de dados integrados, ágeis e interoperáveis. Contudo, a representação cartográfica multiescala e o ambiente ubíquo de consumo ainda requerem adaptações significativas. No Brasil, as normas cartográficas desatualizadas não acompanham essa integração de escalas. Este estudo focou na seleção, proposta e avaliação de símbolos pontuais para as escalas 1:10.000 e 1:25.000, que são correlacionados com símbolos na escala 1:2.000. Utilizando as Teorias da Gestalt, que destacam a percepção de objetos inteiros antes de suas partes, a pesquisa fundamentou a criação de símbolos que garantem clareza e eficácia perceptiva, independentemente da escala ou complexidade dos dados. A metodologia envolveu a colaboração dos usuários desde o início, aplicando um método formativo para criar representações gráficas baseadas em conceitos pré- definidos. Posteriormente, símbolos foram desenvolvidos e avaliados quanto à pregnância visual e influência no processo de leitura. Testes de Eleição e Seleção foram realizados usando dispositivos móveis e desktops para identificar as melhores opções de símbolos, seguidos de Testes de Tarefas de Leitura de Mapas em plataforma online, avaliando detecção, discriminação e reconhecimento. Os resultados revelaram que símbolos com maior pregnância são mais eficazes, sugerindo sua aplicabilidade em contextos multiescala. Este estudo demonstra a importância da aplicação da Gestalt na cartografia moderna, realçando todos os aspectos da usabilidade: eficácia, eficiência e satisfação, na comunicação cartográfica.

Com a crescente expansão do empreendedorismo no Brasil, e a sua importância no mercado de trabalho atual, este artigo tem como tema a carreira do profissional de secretariado e suas possibilidades empreendedoras e, para tanto, estabeleceu-se o objetivo de analisar se o empreendedorismo seria uma possibilidade de carreira para o profissional de secretariado, levando em consideração o seu perfil, seus aprendizados, as habilidades desenvolvidas durante a formação acadêmica e o crescimento da profissão no país. Para ser possível atingir o propósito da pesquisa, levantou-se a história do profissional de secretariado, que ainda é recente, e apesar de se ter informações datadas de 500 a.C., no Brasil, seu passado tem apenas 100 anos. Além disso, discutiu-se sobre o que seria considerado uma carreira, suas âncoras e seus tipos, e o empreendedorismo, e como seria o perfil do empreendedor nas terras brasileiras. Posteriormente, aplicou-se uma pesquisa de campo quantitativa com os profissionais da área e, como resultados, identificou-se que esses trabalhadores consideram o empreendedorismo como uma possibilidade para suas carreiras e, ademais, conheceu-se as principais habilidades e competências que são necessárias para ser considerado um empreendedor. Independentemente desses resultados, vale ressaltar que, ficou evidente durante o desenvolvimento do estudo, as dificuldades dos profissionais em se tornarem empreendedores no mercado atual, pois há uma escassez de estudos e dados sobre esse tema. Portanto, recomenda-se que haja mais espaço para que o assunto seja discutido no meio secretarial, tendo em vista que ainda se depara com os velhos conceitos de um(a) secretário(a) na sociedade e no espaço laboral.

No envelhecimento são observadas alterações de cunho biopsicossociais que sob influência das representações subjetivas atribuídas pelos indivíduos podem interferir na qualidade de vida. As adjetivações sociais que permeiam as culturas influenciam na construção da experiência subjetiva dos indivíduos, reverberando, sobretudo, em pessoas idosas. Isto posto, o presente ensaio versa acerca das percepções decorrentes das diferentes vivências no processo de envelhecer, considerando as representações sociais coletivas que constituem as individualidades de tal fenômeno. A singularidade das transformações decorrentes do processo de envelhecer ocasionam diferentes interpretações mediante as faixas etárias. Entretanto, quanto mais negativa forem as representações e atribuições subjetivas ao longo da vida, mais negativamente elas irão se apresentar na velhice. A identificação dos sentidos e significados atribuídos do envelhecer, possibilita reconhecer as consequências negativas do mesmo que perpetuam paradigmas negativos do envelhecimento, originando preconceitos que afetam a qualidade de vida de indivíduos idosos. Observou-se ainda que o contato intergeracional é uma forma de construir significações positivas relativas ao envelhecimento em faixas etárias distintas, onde ambas gerações se beneficiam de tal convivência e, focando em pessoas idosas, favorece o fortalecimento e a criação de redes de apoio para além das configurações familiares.

O presente trabalho propõe-se a analisar os impactos da inteligência artificial na responsabilidade civil considerando a dificuldade de caracterização dos pressupostos da obrigação de indenizar, os limites das ações indenizatórias individuais e o potencial lesivo das novas tecnologias. São abordadas as características que definem a inteligência artificial, entre elas a capacidade de atingir objetivos complexos e o autoaprendizado a partir das suas próprias experiências. Enfrentam-se, criticamente, os desafios éticos e jurídicos colocados pela inteligência artificial, notadamente em face das violações de direitos humanos. Partindo das noções de solidariedade social e de diluição dos danos, sustenta-se a importância de mecanismos coletivizadores do risco para o enfrentamento do problema, tal como o seguro de responsabilidade civil. O presente artigo vale-se de metodologia dedutiva e crítico-dialética, por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica e exploratória, mediante análise de normativas nacionais e internacionais que tratam do assunto.

Prune Belly syndrome (PBS) is a rare complex malformation that preferentially affects male newborns. It presents with a wide spectrum of alterations that include abdominal muscle deficiency, varying degrees of renal dysplasia and urinary tract obstruction, in addition to bilateral cryptorchidism. In general, it is associated with other developmental anomalies, mainly of cardiac, pulmonary and gastrointestinal origin. Despite numerous advances in the treatment of complex malformations, morbidity and mortality in PBS remains high, due to early renal failure and associated malformations. This is a case report of a male newborn, inserted in a complex social context, born by vaginal delivery, premature, with a gestational age of 36 weeks and 1 day. At the initial assessment in the delivery room, he presented: male external genitalia, bilateral cryptorchidism, flabby and hollowed abdomen, parchment skin suggestive of the absence of abdominal muscles, mild respiratory effort and bradycardia. He received positive pressure ventilation and was referred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (UTIn) where a vesicocutaneous fistula and renal failure were found, despite the vesicostomy, progressing to death at 1 month and 1 day of chronological age. Complex congenital malformations, such as PBS, require individualized assessment so that better postnatal results are achieved. However, the limitation of therapeutic care must be carefully evaluated, considering the great morbidity that accompanies these patients. This article aims to describe a rare case of PBS, detailing the evolution of patients with this malformation.

O presente estudo objetivou compilar informações relevantes acerca dos traços de personalidade e o enfrentamento das adversidades em decorrência do processo de envelhecer. Consistiu em uma pesquisa exploratória de revisão narrativa. Foram incluídas obras publicadas a partir do ano de 2014 nos bancos de dados PubMed e Scielo, utilizando-se descritores booleanos os termos: “Aging” AND “Personality”. Os achados demonstram que, enquanto disposições intrínsecas, os traços de personalidade influenciam na atribuição de significados e valores singulares ao processo de envelhecer. Assim como, influenciam comportamentos com a função de suprir as necessidades relacionadas com a configuração da personalidade. Salienta-se a relevância de investigar outras possíveis relações entre as variáveis apresentadas e possíveis implicações em vivências cotidianas. Nota-se que a estabilidade emocional pode exercer função protetiva ou de risco à pessoa idosa no que tange ao enfrentamento das adversidades e promoção da saúde mental.

Abstract Heavy truck drivers represent a social group of great importance to any country's economy. Their professional activity requires a high level of dedication. Due to the irregular hours in their work routine and adopted habits, they mostly predispose them to a diversity of health problems. The purpose of this study is to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis aiming to identify the prevalence of diabetes, hypertension, and obesity in Latin American Truck Drivers. We searched the PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus and LILACS databases, for scientific publications articles, as reported by The PRISMA Statement. From 1,382, 7 studies were included according to the established criteria. The hypertension prevalence found was 34.2%, diabetes was of 9.2% and the highest prevalence found was for overweight and obesity (56%). Meta-analysis presented that drivers have a higher prevalence of overweight or obesity when compared to eutrophic individuals and that drivers with diabetes and hyperglycemia have a lower prevalence. Due to their work activity, their access to the health system is compromised limiting any type of monitoring of their health. This study showed that there is, in Latin America, an investment and assistance gap, both in the health sector and in the research section, for this professional category, which is so important to the economy of these countries. These data should help to identify the difficulties faced by this professional in health assistance, road safety, public safety, leisure and social life. This research also highlighted that they are young and already have the first sign of non-transmissible chronic diseases, which is overweight and obesity.

Introdução: A COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) trouxe inúmeros desafios e sobrecarga ao Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), gerando dificuldades no enfrentamento das outras enfermidades endêmicas e negligenciadas no território brasileiro, entre elas a hanseníase. Objetivo: Relatar a experiência de enfrentamento da prevalência oculta de hanseníase por uma equipe de atenção primária à saúde do interior do estado de Sergipe durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Métodos: O projeto foi desenvolvido entre os meses de setembro de 2020 e janeiro de 2021 e caracterizou-se pela oferta de exame dermatológico aos indivíduos que buscaram atendimento na unidade de saúde do bairro Cidade Nova, em Estância, Sergipe. Confirmado o diagnóstico de hanseníase, foi introduzido o tratamento com esquema de poliquimioterapia da Organização Mundial da Saúde (PQT-OMS) e os contatos foram examinados, respeitando-se as medidas sanitárias de prevenção à contaminação pela COVID-19. Resultados: No período analisado, foram avaliados 235 indivíduos, sendo feitos seis diagnósticos clínicos de hanseníase (2,5%), entre os quais um em menor de 15 anos de idade. No município, durante todo o ano de 2020, registrou-se o total de nove casos novos de hanseníase. Sem o projeto, o coeficiente de detecção de casos novos de hanseníase no município seria de 4,3/100 mil habitantes e, com o projeto, esse coeficiente foi três vezes superior (12,9/100 mil habitantes). Conclusão: A oferta de exame dermatoneurológico durante consultas médicas de rotina em áreas vulneráveis permitiu evidenciar a prevalência oculta de hanseníase no bairro Cidade Nova, Estância. Além disso, ações dessa natureza permitem o diagnóstico precoce, evitando-se a evolução para incapacidades físicas.

Objective To assess secular trends in body image dissatisfaction and associated factors among adolescents over a 10-year period (2007-2017/2018). Methods The sample included 1,479 (2007, n = 531; 2017/2018, n = 948) high school adolescents of both sexes, aged 14 to 18 years, of schools in a city in southern Brazil, in 2007 and 2017/2018. Data were collected on sex, age, physical activity (IPAQ, short form), anthropometric measurements (body weight, height, and triceps and subscapular skinfolds), and body image dissatisfaction (figure rating scale). The variables were compared with Independent samples t-test and Mann–Whitney U-test. The associations between sex and other variables were examined with chi-square test, and the factors associated with body image were identified with multinomial logistic regression. Results Most adolescents were dissatisfied with their body image in 2007 (65,2%) and 2017/2018 (71,1%). The prevalence of body dissatisfaction increased by 9.2% over the 10-year period, particularly dissatisfaction with thinness (21.3%). After stratification by sex, in 2017/2018 sample, dissatisfaction with overweight was 46.1% greater in boys, and dissatisfaction with thinness was 66.9% greater in girls. Factors found to be significantly associated with body image dissatisfaction were physical activity level, and body adiposity. Conclusions There was a secular trend toward increased body image dissatisfaction in both sexes. Future efforts should go beyond scientific production, in public and private environments aimed at increasing awareness of health issues related to body care in the physical, psychological, and environmental domains.

Objective To assess the survival rate of patients with colorectal cancer at Hospital Universitário Alzira Vellano, in the municipality of Alfenas, state of Minas Gerais (MG), Brazil, from 2007 to 2016. Methodology A search was conducted in the laboratory files and medical records of patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer and cared for during the aforementioned period. Results In total, 128 cases were found: 52.3% were men, and 47.7% were women, with ages ranging from 25 to 91 years. The most common types of cancer in both genders were of the colon, rectum and sigmoid. The most common stages were T3N1Mx, followed by T3N0Mx and T3N2Mx. Background: This study aimed to analyze the temporal evolution, spatial distribution, and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tuberculosis records in a northeastern state of Brazil. Methods: This is an ecological study involving all diagnoses of Tuberculosis (TB) in residents of the state of Pernambuco/Brazil. Data were extracted from the National System of Notifiable Diseases. A pre-pandemic COVID-19 temporal analysis (2001–2019), a spatial analysis before (2015–2019) and during the first two pandemic years (2020–2021), and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on cases of TB diagnoses in Pernambuco in the years 2020 and 2021 were performed. Inflection point regression models, Global and Local Moran’s statistics, and spatial scan statistics were used. Results: In the period from 2001 to 2019, 91,225 cases of TB were registered in Pernambuco (48.40/100,000 inhabitants), with a tendency of growth starting in 2007 (0.7% per year; p = 0.005). In the pre-pandemic period (2015–2019), 10.8% (n = 20) of Pernambuco municipalities had TB incidence rates below 10/100,000. In 2020, this percentage reached 27.0% (n = 50) and in 2021 it was 17.8% (n = 33). Risk clusters were identified in the eastern region of the state, with five clusters in the pre-pandemic period and in 2021 and six in 2020. In the first year of the pandemic, an 8.5% reduction in the number of new TB cases was observed. In 2021, the state showed a slight increase (1.1%) in the number of new TB cases. Conclusions: The data indicate that the COVID-19 pandemic may have caused a reduction in the number of new TB case reports in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil.

Abstract: Kale (Brassica oleracea var. acephala) has great importance due to its easy propagation, acceptability and nutraceutical properties. The aim of the present work was to make methodological adjustments to conduct the tetrazolium test in kale seeds. Pre-tests were initially carried out to assess the priming time at 20 °C for 10 and 14 hours (times defined by the imbibition curve) and methods of removing the coat of kale seeds (total removal of the seed coat; cut in the distal region to the embryonic axis; longitudinal cut along the longest axis and whole seeds). Subsequently, the most efficient methodologies were evaluated using different concentrations of the tetrazolium salt solution (0.075%; 0.2%; 0.5% and 1.0%) and times (2, 4 and 6 h) of seed immersion in the solution, using four lots. The seeds were analyzed individually and classified as viable or non-viable. The tetrazolium test is efficient for evaluating the viability of kale seeds, providing results correlated with germination. Kale seeds should be primed between paper for 10 hours at 20 °C, and the seed coat should be removed for immersion in a 0.5% tetrazolium salt solution for 4 hours at 30 °C.

Abstract This ecological study aims to analyze both the tendency and the characteristics of leprosy in the elderly population in the state of Bahia, 2001-2017. The tendency was analyzed through joinpoint regression. Epidemiological variables were also included in the study. The average detection rate was 38.73/100,000, with prevalence of men (45.19/100,000). A downward trend occurred in both genders, from 2004, with a greater magnitude in women (annual percent change [APC] = −3.4%). Men presented higher proportions of the multibacillary forms and physical disabilities. The epidemiological scenario indicates the need of implementation of actions that stimulate early diagnosis and treatment of the elderly population.

A demanda por sementes de hortaliças com alta qualidade e a obtenção de mudas vigorosas tem aumentado nos últimos anos, pois estas características constituem fatores determinantes do êxito da produção. As hortaliças têm uma importância nacional crescente, dentre elas se destaca a couve, por ser importante fonte de renda para pequenos agricultores. Objetivou-se adequar a metodologia do teste de envelhecimento acelerado tradicional e com solução saturada de NaCl em sementes de couve e avaliar a atividade enzimática após o teste de vigor. Foram utilizados seis lotes de sementes de couve e determinou-se o grau de umidade, peso de mil sementes, primeira contagem de germinação, germinação, índice de velocidade de germinação, emergência, estande inicial e índice de velocidade de emergência. No teste de envelhecimento acelerado, as sementes foram submetidas ao método tradicional e com solução saturada de NaCl, por períodos de 0; 24; 48; 72 e 96 horas. Realizou-se também a análise eletroforética das isoenzimas superóxido dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) e álcool desidrogenase (ADH). O teste de envelhecimento acelerado, utilizando o método tradicional na combinação de 72 horas a 41 °C é adequado para avaliar o potencial fisiológico de sementes de couve. As análises isoenzimáticas superóxido dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) e álcool desidrogenase (ADH) demonstram que os marcadores bioquímicos são eficientes e promissores na diferenciação de sementes de couve após o envelhecimento acelerado.

Introdução: A hanseníase é uma doença tropical negligenciada causada por Mycobacterium leprae. O Brasil é um dos principais países endêmicos para a doença, persistindo como problema de saúde pública. Além disso, é a principal doença infecciosa causadora de incapacidades físicas. Objetivos: Analisar a magnitude e os fatores associados à limitação de atividade nos casos novos de hanseníase diagnosticados no centro de referência do nordeste do Brasil. Métodos: Trata-se de estudo transversal envolvendo 50 pessoas com diagnóstico de hanseníase. Foram coletadas variáveis clínicas e sociodemográficas além de aplicação da escala SALSA para análise da limitação funcional. Empregou-se regressão logística com cálculo de odds ratio. Resultados: A presença de limitações funcionais foi registrada em 32% (n=16) dos casos analisados, destacando-se sexo feminino (56,3%), idosos (37,5%), baixa escolaridade (87,6%), forma dimorfa (62,5%), classificação multibacilar (75,0%) e grau 2 de incapacidade física (50,0%). A limitação funcional esteve associada a faixa etária ≥45 anos (OR 3,80; p=0,047), classificação multibacilar (OR 4,28; p=0,021) e escore OMP ≥6 (OR 4,69; p=0,041). Conclusão: Observou-se elevada frequência de pessoas com incapacidade físicas. Os fatores associados à limitação funcional foram idade igual ou superior a 45 anos, classificação multibacilar e escore OMP maior ou igual a seis.

This paper describes a simple, inexpensive, highly sensitive, and efficient electrochemical method to determine Estradiol in pharmaceutical formulations. The oxidation reaction on the electrode surface was electrochemically characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and square wave voltammetry (SWV). The investigation of Estradiol at carbon paste electrode revealed a non-reversible oxidation peak at +640 mV vs. Ag/AgCl, which was used for electrochemical detection of Estradiol. The operating parameters (pH, frequency, step potential, and amplitude) were optimized in relation to the peak current intensity, and a calibration curve was set up in a concentration range of 0.059 - 2.997 mg L-1, with a detection limit of 21.85 µg L-1. After calibration curve was plotted, the developed procedure was applied to determine Estradiol in parmacheutical formulation. These results show that the proposed method can be used for Estradiol quantification in pharmaceutical formulations with high sensitivity, specificity, stability, and reproducibility, and can be applied in analytical routines in laboratories of quality control analysis in drugs. Social support is an important predictor for the maintenance of physical activity in adolescence. Thus, the social-ecological approach values the impact of individuals or groups interaction with available resources in the social environment for adopting an active lifestyle. This study analyzes social support from family and friends for adolescents to practice physical activity. Guided by the Social-Ecological Theory, an observational cross-sectional structural equations modeling was applied to 2,710 Brazilians adolescents aged from 14 to 18 years. We identified that the greater the social support from friends (β = 0.30; RMSEA = 0.065; CFI = 0.953; TLI = 0.922; SRMR = 0.048) and family, the greater the adolescents physical activity (β = 0.27; RMSEA = 0.015; CFI = 0.997; TLI = 0.995; SRMR = 0.013). However, support from both sources indicated no adequate adjustment values in the same study model. Our findings suggest that adolescents who perceive social support from family members or friends practice more physical activity, confirming that social support is important for physical activity promotion.

The use of chemicals in storage solutions has proved beneficial for the postharvest conservation of cut flowers. However, the effect of these solutions on the water relations of some species is still unknown. Therefore, the objective of the present investigation was to evaluate the water relations in calla lily flowers harvested at different stages and maintained under postharvest solutions with different chemicals. The flower stems were harvested in two stages of spathe opening: the early stage (cartridge) and the 1/3 flower opening stage. The flower stems were dipped in solutions with water (control), 100 mg L-1 sodium hypochlorite (NaClO), 100 mg L-1 aluminum sulfate [Al2(SO4)3], 200 mg L-1 8-hydroxyquinoline (8-HQ) and 10 mg L-1 silver nitrate (AgNO3). Over 9 days, the floral stems were kept in a room at 21 ± 2 °C and 75% ± 5% relative humidity and evaluated for changes in the pH of the solution and the water absorption, transpiration and commercial quality of the cut flowers. The addition of conservation substances to the storage solution induced spathe opening at both harvest stages and promoted water absorption by the stems, thus increasing the efficiency of flower hydration. The water balance maintenance was best for stems stored in water and storage solutions with Al2(SO4)3.

OBJETIVO: Relacionar o desempenho motor com o desempenho escolar de crianças de sete a 10 anos. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva de corte transversal, composta por 680 escolares do ensino fundamental I do município de São José (SC). As crianças foram avaliadas por meio do Teste Motor e a Lista de Checagem do Movement Assessment Battery for Children Second Edition – MABC-2. O Desempenho Escolar foi verificado por meio do boletim individual, fornecido pela escola, do qual foram utilizados os conceitos atribuídos aos alunos nas disciplinas de Língua Portuguesa e Matemática. Utilizou-se o Statistical Package for Social Sciences - SPSS versão 20.0 for Windows para análise dos dados e para a realização do teste de normalidade de Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Para a estatística descritiva foram feitos os testes de médias, medianas, frequências e desvios-padrão, máximos e mínimos. Para análise inferencial foram utilizados o teste U de Mann-Whitney para verificar diferença entre grupos, e Qui-Quadrado e Pearson para verificar associação entre grupos e ajuste residual para a tendência de associação, além da regressão logística. Foi considerado o nível de significância de 5%. RESULTADOS: Crianças com baixo desempenho escolar em português, apresentaram maiores médias nas habilidades de cuidado pessoal (1,69±1,99; p=0,012), de sala de aula (1,78±2,16; p=0,002) e recreativas/educação física (1,80±2,11; p=0,028), em ambientes estáveis. Em ambiente dinâmico houve diferença das médias apenas nas habilidades de cuidado pessoal/sala de aula (português: 2,70±2,56; p=0,001; matemática: 2,64±2,55; p=0,003). CONCLUSÃO: Crianças com baixo desempenho nas atividades cotidianas são mais propensas a apresentar baixo desempenho acadêmico.

Aim: to understand the knowledge and practices of health professionals in primary care for patients with diabetes mellitus and its complications. Method: descriptive qualitative, exploratory study conducted in five health centers in the city of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. A semi-structured interview was conducted with 22 health professionals linked to the Family Health Strategy and to the Family Health Support Center between December 2014 and May 2015. The results were analyzed from the perspective of conventional content analysis. Results: the knowledge of professionals is formed through an integrated and humanized care, focusing on quality of life. Their care practices are distanced from such knowledge when the person already has the disease. Conclusions: although the participants manifest knowledge that converge with public policies, the clinical practice developed in the assistance of people with DM requires reflection and structuring in order to delay or avoid complications.

O cenário contemporâneo evidência que as horas de lazer e tempo livre das crianças têm sido destinadas a jogos, diversões e brincadeiras predominantemente passivas, resultando na redução dos níveis de atividade física habitual, aumento da composição corporal, prevalência de excesso de peso na infância e baixos níveis de aptidão física. Estudos apontam que intervenções de caráter lúdico/recreativo demonstram-se eficazes para promover a perda de peso e a redução do Índice de Massa Corporal (IMC) em crianças com sobrepeso e obesidade. O objetivo do presente estudo foi então verificar os efeitos de um programa de exercício físico baseado em atividades lúdico/recreativas nos componentes da aptidão física em crianças de oito a 10 anos, eutróficas e com excesso de peso. Materiais e métodos: Participaram do estudo 16 crianças com oito a 10 anos de idade, divididas proporcionalmente em dois grupos: eutróficas e excesso de peso, de acordo com a classificação de IMC. O câncer de colo uterino é a quarta neoplasia maligna mais comum no sexo feminino. O rastreamento é recomendado para mulheres de 25 a 64 anos através do exame de citologia oncótica (boa sensibilidade e alta especificidade), com periodicidade de três anos, após dois exames consecutivos normais, no intervalo de um ano. Se diagnosticado e tratado precocemente, o câncer tem bom prognóstico; caso contrário, o diagnóstico tardio é o grande responsável pela alta taxa de mortalidade das mulheres. O presente relato descreve o caso de uma paciente de 61 anos de idade, sexo feminino, portadora de câncer de colo de útero Estádio IIIB (FIGO) com lesões visíveis e incontáveis, não detectado precocemente em exames complementares. A literatura confirma que o diagnóstico precoce é fundamental para que o tratamento adequado seja feito, melhorando a qualidade de vida das pacientes.

In this study, we evaluated the influence of the daily variation of both intensity of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) and temperature on chlorophyll a fluorescence parameters in Jacarandá-da-Bahia seedlings submitted to two treatments: T1 (control) and T2 (water deficit during seven days). It was used seedling with approximately 90 days old cultivated in plastic pots contend soil. After 45 days of acclimation, the treatments were applied. In T2, the water deficit was applied by total suspension of irrigation. The physiological evaluations were made a long of the day (from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.). The water deficit caused a significant reduction of the maximal fluorescence and in area below the fluorescence curve. Furthermore, the water deficit improved the effects of the high temperature and PAR on the energetic connectivity (or grouping between photosystem II units) and of oxygen-evolving complex (OEC) stability, evidenced by the high and positive values of L-band and K-band in those daytimes with higher incidence. Finally, the effects of water deficit were more evident on the OEC stability.

Resumo Introdução O suporte social da família e amigos tem sido relatado como importante preditor tanto para a prática quanto manutenção de comportamentos relacionados à atividade física entre adolescentes. Objetivo O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar evidências científicas que abordassem a relação do suporte social da família, pais e amigos para a prática de atividade física de adolescentes. Método Para este estudo, foram selecionados artigos publicados em português e/ou inglês, indexados em bases científicas até o mês de janeiro de 2017, compreendendo adolescentes de 14 a 19 anos. Estes artigos apresentaram estudos originais com desenhos transversais e longitudinais, e também estavam inseridos nas bases de dados PubMed, SCOPUS, Scielo e Lilacs. Dentre os 3268 artigos identificados nas buscas, posteriormente aos estágios de seleção dos mesmos, constatou-se que apenas 27 artigos preencheram os critérios de inclusão, que em seguida foram analisados na íntegra. Resultados Os estudos foram publicados na última década e realizados em diferentes países, e o suporte social esteve relacionado à atividade física, tanto em estudos transversais quanto longitudinais. Nesses estudos, verificou-se que os adolescentes que receberam maior suporte social de um modo geral,bem como apoio dos pais, amigos e familiares, mostraram níveis mais altos na prática de atividade física. Conclusão O apoio social foi um fator importante para a prática de atividade física em adolescentes. Dessa forma, os programas para promoção de atividade física devem ser direcionados não somente aos adolescentes, mas sobretudo às redes sociais que os cercam.

Objective: To verify the analgesic effects of auriculotherapy on the discomforts and on the dysphoria or mood swings caused by PMS. Methods: Application of semi-permanent needles of 1.8mm, alcohol at 70% for hygiene of the auricular pavilion, cotton, forceps and micropore 3M for fixing the points. Use of the following ear points: Shen-men, followed by the Kidney, Sympathetic, Uterus, Bladder, Anxiety, liver yang and analgesia points of the auricular pavilion. Descriptive and observational analytical study of the experimental type. Four women with PMS symptoms and dysphoria before or during the menstrual period were selected. The intensity of the pain was evaluated by the DASS21 questionnaires and the visual analog scale of the EVA pain, the data evaluated by the Student's T-Test for paired samples with a significance level of 95%. Results: It is possible to observe a statistically significant improvement in pain reduction (p = 0.01). In the comparison of DASS 21 as a whole, it was also possible to find a decrease in the scores answered by the participants, and these responses in comparison and before treatment were statistically significant at p = 0.05. Conclusions: The present study demonstrated the efficacy of Auriculotherapy in significantly reducing the dysmenorrhea of the study participants, and a slight decrease in dysphoric symptoms. Introduction: The objective of this study was to adapt the Brazilian version, and verify the validity, reliability and internal consistency of the Oliveira questionnaire on low back pain in young people. Material and Methods: The questionnaire was translated from European Portuguese into Brazilian Portuguese by means of translation and re-translation. The validity of the contents was determined by experts who analyzed the clarity and pertinence of the questions. Fifteen young people aged 15 to 18 took part in the pre-test step (qualitative analysis), 40 in the test-retest (reliability) and 679 in the evaluation of internal consistency. The intra-class correlation coefficient and Spearman’s correlation coefficient were used in the reliability analysis (test-retest), and Cronbach’s alpha to determine the internal consistency (stability). Results: In the translation phase the questionnaire was modified and considered suitable, observing similarity and equivalence of the two versions. After being corrected by the experts in the validation of the contents, the instrument was considered suitable and valid, and in the pre-test, the young people suggested some modifications to make the questionnaire more succinct. With respect to reliability, the values for the intra-class correlation coefficient were between 0.512 – acceptable and 1 – excellent and Spearman’s correlation coefficient varied between 0.525 and 1, classifying the instrument as reproducible. The internal consistency was considered acceptable with a 0.757 Cronbach’s alpha. Discussion: The Oliveira questionnaire was choosen since it has been used in several Portuguese studies; moreover, it addresses the need to raise data regarding low back pain and associated risk factors. Conclusions: The Brazilian version of the Oliveira questionnaire on low back pain in young people showed valid and reliable cultural adaptation, with good reliability and stability.

ABSTRACT Background: The effects of topical application of sucralfate (SCF) on the tissue content of MUC-2 protein have not yet been evaluated in experimental models of diversion colitis. Aim: To measure the tissue content of MUC-2 protein in the colonic mucosa diverted from fecal stream submitted to the SCF intervention. Methods: Thirty-six rats underwent derivation of intestinal transit through proximal colostomy and distal mucous fistula. The animals were divided into three groups which were submitted application of enemas with saline, SCF 1 g/kg/day and SCF 2 g/kg/day. Each group was divided into two subgroups, according to euthanasia was done after two or four weeks. The colitis diagnosis was established by histopathological study and the inflammatory intensity was evaluated by previously validated scale. The MUC-2 protein was identified by immunohistochemistry and the tissue content was measured computerized morphometry). Results: The application of enemas with SCF in the concentration of 2 g/kg/day reduced inflammatory score of the segments that were diverted from fecal stream. The content of MUC-2 in diverted colon of the animals submitted to the intervention with SCF, independently of intervention period and the used concentration, was significantly greater than animals submitted to the application of enemas containing saline (p< 0.01). The presence of leprosy in children younger than 15 years is a strong indicator of the maintenance of the epidemiological chain of transmission and evidences of the early exposure. This study aims to identify the family, clinical and epidemiological characteristics of individuals younger than 15 years who were diagnosed with leprosy in the city of Juazeiro-BA. This is an observational, cross-sectional and descriptive study. Nas últimas décadas a prática de atividade física tem diminuído devido ao aumento da mecanização, promovendo um declínio na aptidão física, principalmente em crianças e adolescentes. O objetivo do estudo foi analisar as prevalências e indicar possíveis associações entre estado nutricional e aptidão cardiorrespiratória de escolares entre 07 a 10 anos de uma escola pública de Florianópolis. Participaram do estudo 90 escolares de ambos os sexos com idade entre 07 a 10 anos. O instrumento metodológico utilizado foi à bateria de teste do PROESP-BR contendo 2 itens: Teste de resistência cardiorrespiratória (corrida de 6 minutos) e peso/altura2 (IMC). Os resultados apresentaram diferença entre os sexos na aptidão cardiorrespiratória e associação entre índice de massa corporal e aptidão cardiorrespiratória. Com base nos resultados, podemos concluir que independente da classificação do índice de massa corporal, os escolares tiveram baixa aptidão cardiorrespiratória. ABSTRACT Cardiorespiratory fitness associated with body mass index in school children between 7 to 10 years old In recent decades the practice of physical activity has decreased due to increased mechanization, promoting a decline in physical fitness, especially in children and adolescents. The aim of the study was to analyze the prevalence and indicate possible associations between nutritional status and cardiorespiratory fitness in schoolchildren between 07-10 years of a public school in Florianópolis. The study included 90 students of both sexes aged 07-10 years. The methodological tool used was the PROESP-BR test battery containing two items: cardiorespiratory endurance test (6 minutes running) and weight / height 2 (BMI). The results showed differences between the sexes in cardiorespiratory fitness and association between body mass index and cardiorespiratory fitness. Based on the results, we can conclude that regardless of body mass index classification, the school had low cardiorespiratory fitness.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the contribution of subjective sleep need for daytime sleepiness in adolescents, and to compare questions about sleep, age and body mass index between adolescents who considered to sleep enough and those who reported the need for more sleep. Methods: This is a descriptive, epidemiological and cross-sectional study. Data collection was performed in August 2016, with 773 adolescents aged 14-19 years old, from Paranaguá, Paraná, Southern Brazil. The analysis included the following variables: time in bed, half-sleep phase, sleep need, social jetlag, daytime sleepiness, body mass index and physical activity. As a consequence of the difficulty in conventional coffee seed storage, biotechnological alternatives such as cryopreservation have been investigated. The objective of this study was to develop a protocol for the cryopreservation of Coffea arabica L. (cv. ‘Catuaí Vermelho’ - IAC 144) zygotic embryos by vitrification. For the cryopreservation study, the embryos were immersed in Plant Vitrification Solution 2 at different times (0, 10, 25, 50, 100, and 250 min) and two temperatures (0 and 25 °C). Subsequently, the best thawing time was determined in a water bath (1, 3, 5 minutes or directly in Recovery Solution). An anatomical study was conducted on non-stored and stored embryos, with or without the use of Plant Vitrification Solution 2. The immersion in cryoprotectant solution for 100 min at 0 °C allows embryo cryopreservation. Embryos can be directly thawed in Recovery Solution after storage in liquid nitrogen. It was observed that Plant Vitrification Solution 2 reduced internal water content in the cells, allowing subsequent embryo growth resumption.

This work describes the development of a carbon paste electrode, electrochemically activated in a H2SO40.5 mol L-1, detected by TBHQ (tert-butylhidroquinone) and BHA (butylatedhidroxyanisole). The electrochemical techniques of cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry were used to characterize the redox process, which occurs in the working electrode’s surface. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was used to characterize the influence of electrochemically activation in the electrical properties of the electrode-solution interface. The obtained results showed the activation increases the catalytic activity of the carbon paste electrode, verified by a current oxidation peak increase of the both TBHQ and BHA. The increase in the catalytic activity was due to improving the electrical properties of the electrode-solution interface. Electrochemical activation decreases the resistance to electron transfer, favoring the oxidation of BHA and TBHQ on the surface of the working electrode. The obtained results showed that carbon paste electrode electrochemically activated can be used in simultaneous detection of TBHQ and BHA. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17807/orbital.v8i5.822

Objetivo: Analisar os resultados do planejamento do cuidado de enfermagem no pós-operatório de idosos hospitalizados. Método: Trata-se de estudo de casos múltiplos, de abordagem quantitativa. E, utilizou-se das técnicas de pesquisa: entrevista semiestruturada, observação, levantamento documental e acompanhamento pelo telefone. Amostra composta por 12 idosas. Resultados: Após a alta hospitalar houve relato de melhora significativa no controle da infecção, 100% da amostra demonstrou capacidade de identificar no mínimo dois de fatores de risco para infecção. Houve maior aderência ao regime terapêutico com aumento significativo de 83,4% do acompanhamento médico ambulatorial e manutenção da utilização das medicações prescritas. Conclusão: Considera-se que a execução do plano de alta no seguimento pós-operatório, associado a educação demonstram resultados significativos à recuperação cirúrgica.

A flexibilidade é um tema bastante estudado, sendo muito desenvolvido nas aulas de Educação Física nos dias atuais, baseando-se no estilo de vida que as crianças levam. O objetivo do estudo foi comparar o nível de flexibilidade em adolescentes praticantes e não praticantes de voleibol de uma escola pública de Manaus. Participaram do estudo 30 alunas com idades entre 11 e 12 anos, sendo 15 praticantes de voleibol e 15 não praticantes, selecionados intencionalmente. O instrumento utilizado foi o teste de sentar e alcançar para avaliar a flexibilidade, o estudo obedeceu à metodologia do instrumento para análise dos dados. Observou-se que não houve diferença significativa entre praticantes e não praticantes, concluindo que a pratica de voleibol não interferi na flexibilidade nessa faixa etária. Em síntese, pudemos concluir que não houve diferença entre praticantes e não praticantes de voleibol, portanto a prática de voleibol nesta faixa etária não influencia na flexibilidade. ABSTRACT Comparing the level of flexibility in practitioners teenagers and not volleyball players of a public school Summary: Flexibility is a topic widely studied and is very developed in the Physical Education classes today, based on the lifestyle that children bring. The aim of the study was to compare the level of flexibility in practitioners teenagers and not volleyball players of a public school in Manaus. The study included 30 students aged between 11 and 12 years, 15 practitioners of volleyball and 15 non-practicing, intentionally selected. The instrument used was the sit and reach test to measure flexibility, the study followed the instrument methodology for data analysis. There was no significant difference between practicing and non-practicing, concluding that the practice of volleyball did not interfere in the flexibility in this age group. In summary, we conclude that there was no difference between practicing and not volleyball players, so the practice of volleyball in this age group does not influence the flexibility.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar a coordenação com bola de crianças que treinam futsal. A amostra foi composta por 73 crianças e jovens de ambos o sexo com idade entre 9 e 14 (11,30 ± 1,48) anos. Para a obtenção dos dados foi utilizado o Instrumento TECOBOL (Teste de Coordenação com Bola). Analisando a coordenação com bola das crianças nas quatro habilidades que compõem o instrumento, foi identificado que nas tarefas executadas com as mãos os resultados apresentados foram superiores aos das tarefas executadas com os pés. Na análise pareada dos dados os resultados indicam que em todas as tarefas houve diferença significativa do nível de coordenação motora de antes e após os treinos. Visto que houve diferença significativa entre os momentos concluímos que o treino provocou alterações na coordenação com bola após 18 sessões de aula/treino. ABSTRACT Coordination with children ball and youth futsal training in gold preto tennis club The aim of this study was to verify coordination with ball kids futsal training. The sample comprised 73 children and young people of both sex aged 9 and 14 (M = 11.30 ± 1.48) years. To obtain the data we used the Instrument TECOBOL (Test Coordination with ball). Analyzing coordination Ball of children in the four skills that make up the instrument, it was identified that the tasks performed with hands the results were superior to the tasks performed with the feet. In paired analysis of the data the results indicate that in all tasks was no significant difference in the level of motor coordination before and after workouts. Since there were significant differences between times we conclude that training led to changes in coordination with ball after 18 class sessions / training.

ABSTRACT: From May to September 2011, a total of 138 wild rodents of the Cricetidae family were collected in the cities of Anhembi, Bofete and Torre de Pedra, in São Paulo State. All animals were examined for the presence of ticks, which were collected and identified at species level in the laboratory by morphological examination (for adults, nymphs and larvae) and molecular biology, by sequencing of a fragment of the 16S mitochondrial rDNA (for larvae). A total of 47 ticks (21 larvae and 26 nymphs) were collected from rodents, identified as 21 larvae and 23 nymphs of Amblyomma ovale (collected on Oligoryzomys nigripes , Oligoryzomys flavescens , Sooretamys agouya and Nectomys squamipes ), two nymphs of Ixodes schulzei (O. nigripes and O. flavescens ) and an Amblyomma sculptum nymph in S. agouya . The overall prevalence of parasitism by A. ovale was 4.3% for larvae, and 10.1% for nymphs. The mean intensity of parasitism was 3.5 larvae/parasitized animal, and 1.6 nymphs/parasitized animal. One O. nigripes was found parasitized by both larva and nymph of A. ovale , and another O. nigripes was parasitized simultaneously by an I. schulzei nymph and five A. ovale nymphs. This research reports the following unpublished records: A. ovale on O. flavescens , O. nigripes and S. agouya ; A. sculptum on S. agouya ; and I. schulzei on O. flavescens and O. nigripes .

Synthesis of four compounds belonging to mesoionic class, (E)-3-phenyl-5-(phenylamino)-2-styryl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-3-ium chloride derivatives (5a–d) and their biological evaluation against MT2 and C92 cell lines infected with human T-cell lymphotropic virus type-1 (HTLV-1), which causes adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATLL), and non-infected cell lines (Jurkat) are reported. The compounds were obtained by convergent synthesis under microwave irradiation and the cytotoxicity was evaluated using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assays. Results showed IC50 values of all compounds in the range of 1.51–7.70 μM in HTLV-1-infected and non-infected cells. Furthermore, it was observed that 5b could induce necrosis after 24 h for Jurkat and MT2 cell lines. The experimental (fluorimetric method) and theoretical (molecular docking) results suggested that the mechanism of action for 5b could be related to its capacity to intercalate into DNA. Moreover, the preliminary pharmacokinetic profile of the studied compounds (5a–d) was obtained through human serum albumin (HSA) binding affinity using multiple spectroscopic techniques (circular dichroism, steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence), zeta potential and molecular docking calculations. The interaction HSA:5a–d is spontaneous and moderate (Ka ~ 104 M−1) via a ground-state association, without significantly perturbing both the secondary and surface structures of the albumin in the subdomain IIA (site I), indicating feasible biodistribution in the human bloodstream.

Abstract Introduction: The postural deviations associated with the changes in the habits of young people have increased over the last decades. Investigating the subject by way of a self-perception questionnaire allows one to understand the level of awareness the individual has concerning his/her postural habits. Objective: Designing a self-perception evaluation questionnaire about the postural habits of young people and to validate, pre-test, verify the reliability and the internal consistency of this instrument. Methods: The validity of the content was determined by 10 judges. The study involved young people (15 - 18 years old) from Florianopolis/Brazil. The questionnaire was pre-tested, applied to 15 youthful who provided qualitative information about it. The reproducibility was analyzed by way of a test-retest with 40 students, in a one-week gap, and was analyzed by interclass correlation coefficient. The internal consistency was analyzed by Cronbach’s alpha with 679 students. A 5% significance level was adopted. Results: Concerning to the validation of content, the questionnaire presented a total coefficient of 0.28 and 72% concordance was observed amongst the reviewers. The interclass correlation coefficient (test-retest) indicated acceptable reproducibility values (R = 0.66, 0.74 and 0.59; p < 0.001), with a decrease in the object-carrying dimension (R = 0.32; p = 0.04). The questionnaire was considered suitable, quick and easy to fill in. The internal consistency presented a value of 0.80. Conclusion: The questionnaire on body awareness of postural habits in young people is a valid instrument with good repeatability and reliability, its use can be recommended with teenagers showing the same profile as those used in this study.

Objective: To analyze the sleep characteristics in adolescents from different socioeconomic levels. Data source: Original studies found in the MEDLINE/PubMed and SciELO databases without language and period restrictions that analyzed associations between sleep variables and socioeconomic indicators. The initial search resulted in 99 articles. After reading the titles and abstracts and following inclusion and exclusion criteria, 12 articles with outcomes that included associations between sleep variables (disorders, duration, quality) and socioeconomic status (ethnicity, family income, and social status) were analyzed. Data synthesis: The studies associating sleep with socioeconomic variables are recent, published mainly after the year 2000. Half of the selected studies were performed with young Americans, and only one with Brazilian adolescents. Regarding ethnic differences, the studies do not have uniform conclusions. The main associations found were between sleep variables and family income or parental educational level, showing a trend among poor, low social status adolescents to manifest low duration, poor quality of sleeping patterns. Conclusions: The study found an association between socioeconomic indicators and quality of sleep in adolescents. Low socioeconomic status reflects a worse subjective perception of sleep quality, shorter duration, and greater daytime sleepiness. Considering the influence of sleep on physical and cognitive development and on the learning capacity of young individuals, the literature on the subject is scarce. There is a need for further research on sleep in different realities of the Brazilian population.

The Movement Assessment Battery for Children, 2nd Ed (MABC-2), comprised of motor tests and a questionnaire (Checklist), has been used by several nationalities to identify problems in children's motor behavior. However, the level of agreement between the motor tests and the checklist has been questioned. So, this study aimed to test the level of competition between the MABC-2 motor test and MABC-2 Checklist, controlled by the Developmental Coordination Disorder Questionnaire (DCDQ-BR) as the gold reference. Parents of 40 children and 16 teachers responded to the MABC-2 Checklist and the DCDQ-BR. Later 40 children were evaluated using the MABC-2 motor test. No significant congruence among a comparison of the MABC-2 motor tests, MABC-2 Checklist and DCDQ-BR was observed. The results indicated that there is no concurrent validity between the MABC-2 motor tests and the DCDQ-BR test, whereas the MABC-2 Checklist showed low levels of concurrent validity with the DCDQ-BR.

Métodos: A busca foi realizada nas bases de dados MEDLINE/PubMed, LILACS e SciELO, seguindo os critérios de elegibilidade e exclusão adotados. Resultados: Cinco estudos foram selecionados para a pesquisa, apresentando uma amostragem de 344 participantes de 3 a 70 anos de idade. Dentre os resultados encontrados, os estudos apresentaram uma variação dos níveis e prática de atividade física de acordo com cada faixa etária. De forma geral, os indivíduos com Síndrome de Down apresentam níveis particularmente baixos de atividade física e declínio acentuado com a idade. Conclusão: Os indivíduos com Síndrome de Down possuem baixo nível de atividade física, com índices inferiores às recomendações para uma vida ativa. Além disso, constatou-se que à medida que a idade avança, o nível de atividade física diminui. Verificou-se um baixo número de pesquisas com essa temática; dessa forma, recomenda-se que novos estudos sejam conduzidos, com o intuito de avaliar o nível de atividade física nesta população específica.

RESUMO Objetivo: Analisar a literatura quanto à eficácia da utilização dos exergames nas aulas de Educação Física e na aquisição e desenvolvimento de habilidades e capacidades motoras. Fontes de dados: As buscas dos estudos foram realizadas por duas avaliadoras de forma independente, limitadas às línguas inglesa e portuguesa, em quatro bases de dados: Web of Science, Science Direct, Scopus e PubMed, sem restrições de ano. As palavras-chave utilizadas foram: “Exergames and motor learning and skill motor” e “Exergames and skill motor and physical education”. Adotaram-se como critérios de inclusão: artigos que avaliaram a eficácia da utilização dos exergames nas aulas de Educação Física e na aquisição e desenvolvimento de habilidades e capacidades motoras. Excluíram-se da análise: livros, teses e dissertações; artigos repetidos; conferências, artigos publicados em anais e resumos de congressos; amostras com patologias e/ou com fins de reabilitação. Síntese dos dados: Foram encontradas 96 publicações. Após a aplicação dos critérios de exclusão, oito artigos foram selecionados. A qualidade dos artigos foi avaliada pelas escalas Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) e The Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro). Foi possível verificar evidências sobre os efeitos positivos da utilização dos exergames tanto na aquisição de habilidades motoras quanto no desenvolvimento de capacidades motoras. Conclusões: Os exergames, quando utilizados de forma consciente - de modo a não substituir completamente os esportes e outras atividades lúdicas -, representam boas estratégias para pais e professores de Educação Física na motivação à prática do exercício físico.

Estudo documental de abordagem histórico social, cujo objeto foi a trajetória de crescimento dos cursos superiores de enfermagem na região Centro-Oeste do Brasil. Os objetivos foram: levantar o número de cursos superiores de enfermagem criados na região Centro-Oeste, na série histórica 1933-2006; comparar o número de cursos vinculados a instituições públicas aos vinculados a instituições privadas na região em estudo; e comentar os nexos entre o contexto histórico e a configuração desses cursos no que se refere à vinculação institucional, ao longo dos anos. Até o final do ano de 1999, haviam sido criados na região Centro-Oeste 14 cursos de enfermagem, dos quais 57% eram privados e 43% públicos. Em decorrência das políticas de educação adotadas no país, principalmente na década de 90, observa-se a criação de mais 30 cursos na região entre os anos 2000 e 2006, perfazendo um total de 44 cursos superiores de enfermagem, dos quais 79,5% são privados e 20,5% públicos, sendo Goiás, o estado com maior concentração destes cursos. A rede privada expandiu-se na região e concentra, atualmente, a grande maioria dos cursos de enfermagem, o que nos faz entender que a mesma determina, quase que por completo, o perfil do futuro profissional de enfermagem.

This study aimed to characterize the lifestyle of schoolchildren aged 11 to 13 years with and without developmental coordination disorder (DCD). Este estudio tuvo como objetivo investigar el rendimiento motor y el sentido de la autoeficacia de los alumnos en una escuela pública de la ciudad de São José/ SC. Los participantes fueron 338 niños, de edades compreendidas entre 7 y 10 años. Para recoger los datos se utilizó la bateria de evaluación del movimiento para niños (MABC) y una guia para evaluación del sentido de autoeficacia (Rasae). Para el análisis de los datos se utilizó estadística descriptiva e inferencial. En relación al desempeño motor fué verificado que el porciento de problemas motores definidos pasó el índice colocado por la literatura. Sobre la autoeficacia puede ser afirmado en el estudio que cuanto mejor era el desempeño motor mejor fué el sentido de la autoeficacia. La clasificación de rendimiento del motor se encontró en el porcentaje de problemas motores definidos en la indicada por la literatura. En cuanto a la autoeficacia se puede decir que entre mejor el rendimiento del motor, será mejor la sensación de autoeficacia.
