As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, medical universities were closed in Romania, between March 2020 and July 2020. The educational process was transferred to an on-line environment, in person contact becoming nonexistent outside the group of people from one’s household. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the mental health status in medical undergraduates in Romania during lockdown. A questionnaire was used in April 2020 to collect information regarding the life of students during social isolations and to assess the mental health of students using a self-reported 1-7 scale on 21 relevant endpoints. After data quality control, the remaining 1978 data entries were analysed in SPSS 20. We identified multiple factors that may contribute to the mental health of undergraduate students, such as: partner status and offline contact, personality traits, social media and streaming platforms usage. There were differences regarding the mental health status indicated by endpoints between: genders, living environment, owning a pet, etc. This study describes how mental health, a neglected subject in the Romanian public health arena, is influenced by various factors during lockdowns. Further research should be conducted and appropriate measures should be taken to prevent the degradation of mental health in medical students under pandemic circumstances.

While in developed countries, the main complaint of the doctors is related to overwork due to insufficient personnel, the Romania doctors have many other reasons for being dissatisfied with the activities they perform. The aim of this article is to compare how the doctors’ problems have evolved over the last 3 years, which problems have been solved and which still need to be confronted. In order to do this, an analysis of 2 set of surveys will be performed, one conducted in 2016 by the Multidisciplinary Society of Medical Residents (SMMR) and one conducted in 2019 by the Romanian Federation of Medical Students’ Associations. Both societies – one of the medical residents, the other representing the medical students, have shown a great interest in revealing the problems of the Romanian medical health care system, which has a great impact both on patients as well as medical personnel dynamics.

Romania has a significant agricultural potential and agriculture in our country has an important share among sectors of the national economy. However, even if the Romanian labor productivity in agriculture had a positive development in the period 2007-2014, the level is lower than that achieved in the agricultural performance in the European Union. In order to improve labor productivity in Romanian agriculture, it is necessary to take a series of measures in order to reduce the disparities in this sector compared with the performance level from EU. For increasing the Romanian labor efficiency in agriculture, it is necessary to encourage investment and to improve the level of technology in mechanization; for the physical work done by Romanian farmer, to adjust with the performance benefits of using mechanization.

The paper delves into St. Paul's transformation from a zealous Pharisee to a follower of Christ, emphasizing the value of Christ-centered faith over adherence to the Mosaic Law. It underscores the shift from personal accomplishments to a profound relationship with Christ as a hallmark of spiritual maturity. The globalization processes that are increasingly emerging lead to the formation of new and powerful alliances between countries in different regions of the world. The most complex integration is a characteristic for the European Union. Romania's acceptance of the EU in January 2007 unquestionably ousted the adjustment of the national economy, including the food sector, to the norms and standards of the Common Market. Ensuring food security for each country, as well as developing the rural sector, where a significant part of the population is active, is a major desideratum that should be prioritized in micro- and macroeconomic decisions. In this article we aim to present the concept of eco-innovation. The definition of eco-innovation, what eco innovation is, the national innovation system, eco-innovation. We reviewed an analysis of eco-innovation studies to show the importance of this concept in economic development and especially in the work of SMEs. In addition, we also reviewed the analysis of indicators as a component of eco-innovation inputs. The objective of organic innovation is to accelerate sustainable industrial production by disseminating existing knowledge and facilitating the benchmarking of products and production processes. In the conclusion of this article, we have noted that decision-makers must support innovation through public research funding, promote smart policy and regulation that will create a demand for eco-innovation. Another topic to be discussed is related to the Dâmboviţa River which crosses the city of Bucharest, and it is classified by researchers as the most polluted river in Europe, it is estimated that the river is discharged over 2000 tons of manure daily. Romania's agricultural and forestry research are facing to serious failures due to its current funding system and the lack of attractiveness of a research career. The paper presents some issues referring to the agricultural and forestry research with accent on the human resources and it proposes some measures in view to reinvigorate and increase the efficiency by: involving researchers in dissemination of their most important results by building "bridges" with consumers of information (small and medium agricultural producers); starting of a coherent process of lieders formation from the ranks of young researchers; including in the management plans of the research entities from agriculture and forestry the provisions of the National Strategy for Research, Development and Innovation 2014-2020 dedicated to the research labor market. Social inequalities and poverty are realities of our present world, even though there are different degrees of manifestation of them. Romanian research showed long the atypical nature of differences in income and a tendency towards social polarization. The chances for people to live well depend on the individual characteristics (options and motivation, financial, social and capacities, adequate representation of the rules of the social game) and social structure, opportunities and facilities it offers social environment, the Access rules and practices in world consumption of goods and services. Actions such as changes patterns of consumption and production of value with fewer resources lead to an efficient use of resources. To produce energy are used natural resources. In this sense, the article presents an analysis of primary energy production for Member States of the European Union and Romania for the period 2002-2013. Fossil fuels are a major source of carbon emissions. These emissions have greenhouse effect and are cause of climate change. One of the important aspects which favors economic growth is given by energy. For these reasons, the transition from fossil fuels to renewable resource use is a necessity in the production of energy. Given the renewable resources, the article presents a case on the share of electricity from renewable resources of the total electricity. Investments which they make local communities in the use of renewable resources may lead to energy efficiency consumption. The sustainable development of local communities can be achieved through better use of natural resources. This paper aims to examine the influence of farm size on performance in the agricultural sector in order to reduce competitiveness gaps compared to other EU countries. Although it has a high agricultural potential, the average production from Romania are much lower than those obtained in the European Union. One of the key reasons for this is the average size of farms, Romania owns the largest number of farms in the European Union and an average size of about 4 times lower than the EU average. The Romanian agricultural sector faces, among other problems, the most important challenge, namely the increase of the competitiveness. This can be achieved primarily through the development and remediation of the main components related to technology, modernizing, compaction, irrigation, human resources, funding by, and the increased consumption of fertilizers at an optimal level. In the carried out research we identified the consumption of fertilizers in the agricultural sectors in the EU-27 in 2011 and assess the evolution of index for the consumption growth of fertilizing by hectare during the period 2006-2011 in EU-27. The research carried out shows that the consumption of agricultural fertilizers in Romania, although recorded a significant increase in the six analyzed years, is insignificant compared to the consumption of fertilizers reached in EU Member States that have an efficient agricultural sector. To address these deficiencies, the Romanian vegetable agricultural sector must increase the consumption of fertilizers at an optimal level, through which to increase the yields and, in the same time, not to affect the natural environment. In the vision of the world organization, the destruction or degradation of the cultural heritage means the disappearance of the memory and cultural identity of the citizens of a state, in consequence, the incapacity of sending this heritage to the future generations. Romania adhered at these treaties and conventions, aware that the creation of a durable future can not take place without including in the developing strategies of the countries the valuing of what it has more valuable -- its natural and cultural heritage. The research aims to analyze the evolution of the performance agro-food sector by development regions in the EU integration process. In the first part of the paper are presented the economic characteristics of Romanian agricultural sector and the most important issues and vulnerabilities in the process of increasing the competitiveness of agriculture. For setting goals, we considered relevant, on the one hand, an analysis of the evolution of macroeconomic indicators values of agriculture in Romania and their importance for the post-accession period the national economy and on the other hand, making a comparative analysis for the period post-accession by development regions of the Romanian agricultural production to major crops. To highlight the impact of Romania's accession to European Union were analyzed the evolution in crop production per hectare in the post-accession period. We analyzed the total grain production of wheat and corn by regions because these crops occupy most of the surfaces for farming in Romania. Further, have been analyzed the share of cultivated surfaces with cereals into the total arable land in the period 2007 - 2013. Evolution of production yield per hectare for analyzed crops, can indicate the level of the disparities between regions of Romania. In the paper have been identified major vulnerabilities that lead to inconsistency agricultural production Romanian 2007-2013 with proposals of some measures in order to reduce inter-regional disparities in Romanian agriculture. The land fund of Romania represents a huge potential for agriculture. The potential has proved difficult to achieve, and among the main vulnerabilities researched lately, we have identified the decline in consumption of vegetable crops, fruit and meat, determined by the declining purchasing power in Romania and the European Union's common market. Therefore the degree of achievement of the agricultural potential is directly influenced by economic developments in Romania and EU Member States. The technical endowment of Romanian farmers is an old and still unresolved problem. Even though Romania has benefited from EU pre-accession funds and still benefits from it, they proved to be a poor solution for Romanian farmers with farm machinery equipment. Indicator analysis of the evolution of the number of tractors in Romania in the post-accession period, reveals that the actual number of tractors in the period under review increased overall, but even if the total number of tractors in Romania increased from 2007 until 2012, UAA (ha) per a tractor is almost constant. This paper aims to examine one of the main problems agriculture is facing, the lack of developed irrigation infrastructure. The precarious state of the irrigation system is an obstacle to the development of the agricultural potential of Romania. Using irrigation increases productivity but also constitutes the main driving force for water abstraction, which can eventually lead to environmental problems. Investment and development of the irrigation system have been delayed, but these are essential steps, without which we could not achieve our objectives, to harness agricultural potential. Even so, in the last 23 years nobody has invested in the rehabilitation / modernization of irrigation systems and also the increase of energy price determined the sequential increase of the irrigation cost price. The proposals made at the end of this paper are aimed at the identification of measures to expand and establish actions of a more effective use of the national network of irrigation.
