Climate-driven declines in oxythermal habitat in freshwater lakes can impose prolonged constraints on cold-water fishes sensitive to hypoxia. How fish cope with severe habitat limitations is not well understood, yet has implications for their persistence. Here, we use acoustic-positioning telemetry to assess seasonal habitat occupancy and activity patterns of lake whitefish (Coregonus clupeaformis), a cold-water benthivore, in a small boreal lake that regularly faces severe oxythermal constraints during summer stratification. During this stratified period, they rarely ( 10 °C (interquartile range = 5.3–7.9 °C), which resulted in extensive use (> 90% of detections) of water with −1 dissolved oxygen (DO; interquartile range = 0.3–5.3 mg L−1). Lake whitefish were least active in winter and spring, but much more active in summer, when only a small portion of the lake (1–10%) contained optimal oxythermal habitat ( 4 mg L−1 DO), showing frequent vertical forays into low DO environments concurrent with extensive lateral movement (7649 m d−1). High rates of lateral movement (8392 m d−1) persisted in the complete absence of optimal oxythermal habitat, but without high rates of vertical forays. We found evidence that lake whitefish are more tolerant of hypoxia (−1) than previously understood, with some individuals routinely occupying hypoxic habitat in winter (up to 93% of detections) despite the availability of higher DO habitat. The changes in movement patterns across the gradient of habitat availability indicate that the behavioural responses of lake whitefish to unfavourable conditions may lead to changes in foraging efficiency and exposure to physiological stress, with detrimental effects on their persistence.

Palpebral capillary hemangioma is a benign tumor most often involving the skin of the eyelids. We report the case of a 15-year-old child with an isolated palpebral capillary hemangioma. Palpebral capillary hemangioma is a tumor that may require only surveillance with therapeutic abstention because in the majority of cases regression is spontaneous. Some authors recommend medical treatments such as systemic corticosteroids, beta-blockers and intra-tumoral corticosteroid injections.

Pregnancy is a risk factor for Valsalva retinopathy. We report a case of a 33 year old pregnant woman, who presented Valsalva retinopathy after an effort of defecation followed by constipation. The diagnosis should be made after eliminating other causes of hemorrhage. The evolution is usually spontaneously favorable.

Juvenile ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic arthropathy that predominantly affects boys after the age of 10 years. We report a clinical case of a 16 years old aged male, who presented in the emergency room with a painful red eye, severe photophobia, and tearing right eye. The slit lamp examination was showing unusual anterior uveitis with hypopyon. The visual acuity was 2/10 in the right eye. The slit lamp examination of the left eye was unremarkable. The clinical results were in favour of Juvenile ankylosing spondylitis (Figure 1).

Corneal perforation is a potentially devastating complication that can result from numerous conditions that precipitate corneal melting. We report a clinical of a 65 years old woman who has presented in the emergency room with a non traumatic corneal perforation, with expulsion of the lens. Complicated by the presence of a chronic antecedent of corneal ulcer (Figure 1).

Herpes zoster ophthalmic is a common condition in the elderly or in the immunocompromised people. We present the case of a 32-yearold female patient, without any particular history, who consulted the emergency room for a red right eye with major chemosis, palpebral edema, and decreased visual acuity. There was also a crusty rash in the V1 territory, suggesting herpes zoster. Visual acuity was 2/10 in the right eye and 10/10 left eye (Figure 1 and 2). Examination at the slit lamp revealed a non-hypertensive granulomatous anterior kerato-uveitis of the right eye. Given the severity of the lesion, an immunodepressive background was suspected, HIV serology came back positive.

Objectif: Analyser les résultats à long terme du traitement des ruptures post-traumatiques de l\'urètre postérieur par urétrorraphie termino-terminale tardive, et apprécier l\'efficacité et le bénéfice de cette technique. Patients et Méthodes: Entre Février 1989 et Février 2004, quinze patients ont subi une urétrorraphie termino-terminale tardive pour rupture post-traumatique de l\'urètre postérieur. L\'analyse des résultats a pris en considération la qualité de la miction, la continence et la fonction érectile. Résultats: Avec un recul moyen de trente quatre mois (12 à 72 mois), les 15 patients ayant bénéficié d\'une urétrorraphie termino-terminale tardive sont continents et urinent avec un jet satisfaisant. Chez 5 patients (33.3%) ce résultat était obtenu au prix d\'une urétrotomie interne. Seuls 4 patients (26.7%) ont rapporté des troubles de l\'érection. Conclusion: L\'urétrorraphie termino-termi-nale tardive demeure le \"gold standard\" dans le traitement de la rupture post-traumatique de l\'urètre postérieur. Cette technique, comparée aux autres méthodes de traitement de la sténose post traumatique de l\'urètre, permet d\'obtenir un succès durable avec peu de complications. Mots clés: urètre postérieur, rupture traumatique, fracture du bassin, urétroraphie Delayed End-to-End Anastomotic Repair of Post-Traumatic Posterior Urethral Rupture Objective: To analyse the long-term results of the treatment of post-traumatic posterior urethral rupture by delayed bulboprostatic anastomotic repair and to evaluate the efficacy and advantages of this technique. Patients and Methods: Between February 1989 and February 2004, 15 patients underwent delayed bulboprostatic anastomotic repair of post-traumatic posterior urethral ruptures. The results were evaluated taking into account the quality of micturition, continence and erectile function. Results: After an average follow-up period of 34 months (range: 12 – 72 months), all our 15 patients were continent and voided with a satisfactory flow. To achieve this result, 5 patients (33.3%) had to undergo internal ureterotomy. Only 4 patients (26.7%) reported erectile problems. Conclusion: Delayed bulboprostatic anastomotic repair remains the \"gold standard\" in the treatment of post-traumatic posterior urethral rupture. Compared to other methods of treatment of post-traumatic stenosis of the ureter, this technique allows for a long-term success with minimal complications.
