Galba oblonga (Puton, 1847), Stagnicola fuscus (Pfeiffer, 1821) and Ancylus striatus Quoy Gaimard, 1834 are reported for the first time in North Africa, while Mercuria globulina (Letourneux Bourguignat, 1887) is new to Morocco. In addition, we provide new distributional data on the two Moroccan endemic and recently described species Aghbalia aghbalensis Glöer, Mabrouki Taybi, 2020 and Mercuria bakeri Glöer, Boeters Walther, 2015 known previ-ously from the type localities only, which is a key element in promoting their conservation.

The caddisfly fauna of North Africa and Morocco is still poorly known, with only a few historical and recent investigations, carried out sporadically. In this paper we describe a new species, Tinodes atlasensis Ibrahimi, Mabrouki & Taybi, sp. nov. from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. The new species is closest to Tinodes baenai Gonzales & Otero, 1984, known from the Iberian Peninsula and mainly differs by the shape of segment IX, coxopodites, harpago and the process of basal plate. Tinodes atlasensis Ibrahimi, Mabrouki & Taybi, sp. nov. is the seventh known species of the genus Tinodes Curtis, 1834 from Morocco. Future caddisfly investigations in this North African country will most certainly increase the number of the known species and reveal other new ones.

Gerris (Gerris) brasili Poisson, 1941 Material examined. La��youne, 31.0 5.17, 1 m, 1 f. Distribution. Ibero-Maghrebian Endemism (Aukema & Rieger 1995). In Morocco, this species is more common in the northwest (L���Mohdi 2016). In the study area, it has been recorded in the Zeghzel River (Chavanon et al. 2004). Hesperocorixa algirica (Puton, 1890) Distribution. Ibero-Maghrebian endemism. In Morocco, this species was recorded from remote localities in the northwestern part of the country (L’Mohdi 2016). Gerris (Gerris) lacustris (Linnaeus, 1758) Distribution. Palearctic species. In Morocco, it has been reported from several localities in the north of the country (L’Mohdi 2016). In the Oriental Region, Vidal (1937) recorded this species around Berkane (Fig. 5). This species is widely distributed in the northern part of Morocco (L���Mohdi 2016). In the Oriental Region, it was localized at Ain Benimathar spring (Chavanon et al. 2004). Afrotropical-Palearctic taxon. In Morocco, it is known from localities far from each other (L���Mohdi 2016). This is a new species for the Moulouya River basin and the Oriental Region.
