The article discusses a research study on canine mammary tumor and the correlation of mast cells density and microvessel density. Assessed were mast cells from 65 canine mammary tumor samples using the Toluidine Blue staining method and observed the CD31 immunohistochemical expression. Results suggested the role of mast cells in the development of malignant mammary tumor and promotion of angiogenesis.

This article discusses a study which examined the association of nucleolar organizing regions and Ki-67 expression with recurrence rate of hair follicle tumor in dogs. The study used tissue specimens to prepare sections for histological staining for number of nucleolar organizing region and immunohistochemical staining for Ki-67. It showed that head, dorsum and limbs were the most affected sites. It also found that malignant trichoepithelioma presented significantly higher mitotic index, number of nucleolar organizing regions and Ki-67 expression.
