A biography is presented of Merrill Leffler, a poet, editor, publisher and the Poet Laureate of Takoma Park in Washington D.C. He was born and raised in the Catholic and Jewish neighborhood of East New York in Brooklyn and attended high school in High Point, North Carolina. He started working at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland where he got involved in research that used large sounding rockets. His lifelong engagement with both Jewish and non-Jewish texts is also tackled.

An obituary for Marina Korenberg who was the library technician at the research library named Library of Congress and co-president of the Capital Area Chapter of the international organization Association of Jewish Libraries, is presented.
