Provision of affordable housing for low-income groups is constrained precariously in Punjab, the largest province of Pakistan, because of a complex institutional framework and overlapping roles of government authorities at federal, provincial, and local levels. This article is a reflexive study that covers a broader aspect of the Punjabi Housing system, drawing a framework of current institutional arrangements in practice for affordable housing provision. Although it draws on an institutional analytical framework, the article is grounded in applying structural analysis to the study of public institutions within the housing sector, which provides a much-needed theoretical framework for analyzing housing institutional arrangements under the current dynamic political environment within the country. The study is an effort to fill gaps in the literature in understanding the intricate practices and processes of public housing institutions with overlapping jurisdictions and roles. The article argues for streamlining the federal, provincial, and local governments to provide an enabling environment to deal with affordable housing policy and provision issues by reexamining the respective institutional structures. Some previous studies relevant to housing policies and projects are also reviewed, followed by an empirical analysis of institutional arrangements; finally, ways forward are suggested toward key policy and empirical implications. Home ownership is an establishment of facilities and comforts including shelter, safety, social and physical benefits. With the passage of time, this home ownership has become biggest dilemma, due to congestion and rapid urbanization within mega cities. Pakistan, like many other developing countries is facing severe problems of housing shortage due to increasing number of people in the city centers. The present paper encompasses review study based on concepts and practices of shared ownership and shared equity in UK and USA. In lieu of it, findings and discussions being analyzed in qualitative manner through content analysis show that it has been effective in providing shelter to deserving groups of people. The objective of this paper is to explore the appropriateness of these housing models as way out for housing challenges in Pakistan. Research revealed that housing policies with inclusion of shared equity and shared ownership frameworks by non-profit organizations and government sector will help the deprived community of Pakistan to shift from squatter settlements and slums with the attractive glance of secure tenure and safety with proper infrastructures. Background: The goal of this study was to gain an in-depth understanding about the lived experiences and unmet needs of rural male cancer survivors., Methods: Focus groups were conducted with male survivors of prostate (N = 14) and colorectal cancers (N = 10), from rural Virginia. Demographic and clinical information were collected via surveys. A focus group guide contained questions about needs, lifestyles, and social networks of rural male cancer survivors. Focus group data were analyzed using Braun and Clarke's thematic analysis guidelines., Results: Four primary themes emerged from the data: (1) contending with health problems, (2) quality and availability of health care services, (3) coping strategies to navigate survivorship, and (4) advocating for cancer prevention. Survivors had to contend with physical and emotional problems, which were a result of their cancer treatments. Due to their rural location, survivors had difficulty accessing health care services and had a limited understanding of the cancer-related resources that existed in their counties. Family support, religiosity and acceptance served as important coping strategies. Many felt strongly about promoting cancer-related education and awareness., Conclusion: The lived experiences and unmet needs of rural male cancer survivors comprised several challenges, which included health problems and lack of health care access. Coping mechanisms comprised reliance on familial bonds and religion. Background: The current research investigates the relationship between Emotional Dysregulation, Coping Strategies and Post-Traumatic Stress Symptoms in adolescents living at Line of Control (LOC)., Subjects and Methods: Cross-sectional research design was used. The sample of 400 adolescent participants was drawn from different private and government schools by using convenient random sampling. The tools employed for collecting data included Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (Gratz & Roemer 2004), Coping Strategies Scale for Adolescents (Sharif & Saleem 2014), and Post-traumatic Stress Symptoms Checklist (Foa et al. 1993)., Results: Results of the study revealed that Emotional Dysregulation and Emotion Focused Coping had a positive and highly significant relationship with Post-traumatic stress symptoms. It was also revealed that Emotional Dysregulation and Emotion Focused Coping positively predicted Post-Traumatic Stress Symptoms. Implications of the study and a few limitations have been discussed., Conclusion: The findings of this study will help in regulating adolescents' psychological well-being by helping future researchers in not only understanding the coping strategies these children are employing at the moment but also developing and enhancing in them the healthy coping styles which they are currently not using. Furthermore, the unique nature of non-combatant civilian trauma remains to be understood from several other perspectives, to which this research was only a foundation stone.
