Abstract

The last two years saw a dramatic increase in the use of digital classrooms due to the new pandemic realities. Internet platforms and social networks offer teachers many options for interacting with their students and colleagues. Online communication differs from face-to-face communication in many aspects and for linguadidactic purposes should be reconsidered from a sociolinguistic point of view. The aim of the study is to explore sociolinguistic aspects of teachers’ nature in online intercultural communication. The study relies on a questionnaire and interviews to collect data about students’ level of sociolinguistic awareness, their ideas about professional online interaction, and their views on sociolinguistic difficulties. The research provides a comparative analysis of the sociolinguistic competence status in Russian and European methodology. The paper introduces the list of internal and external features that influence interlocutors’ sociolinguistic behavior during intercultural communication online. The results suggest that there are a lot of digital factors that determine the communication outcome. The term “sociolinguistic credo” and its definition are presented. It is admitted that external and internal peculiarities should be taken into account in order to train future foreign language teachers effectively. There should be equality of cultures, especially on the Internet where it is easy to lose all cultures behind avatars. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The paper represents the study of the ways of implementation of innovations into the system of foreign language teaching of university students. The most interesting issue is the innovative potential of a foreign language textbook. The authors give the arguments to prove the need to modify this means of teaching professional intercultural communication to ensure its individual, personal and competence orientation. The researchers analyze the main characteristics of modern textbooks on a foreign language, argue for the need to change their structure and content. The article gives the data of empirical survey of teachers' attitude towards a modern textbook of a foreign language. Modern trends in education that require changes in the design of the textbook are as follows: informatization, digitalization, intercultural orientation of the educational process, focus on personal self-development and national selfidentification of the students. It is necessary to specify the characteristics of an "open-type foreign language textbook", its specific features. Abstract

The informational dimension of the multicultural world transforms the context of intercultural socialization of an individual, which presupposes the formation of a person in a multicultural society who owns various ways of constructing intercultural dialogue. There is a special requirement for the development of didactic tools that help a person to master effective methods of intercultural interaction in the global information environment. Strategies for achieving intercultural dialogue using the potential of the information environment surrounding a person come to the fore. The purpose of the article is to determine the information and cognitive strategies that students at a linguistic university could apply working culturally specific material of a foreign language textbook, aimed at intercultural socialization of a person striving to achieve understanding in the conditions of intercultural dialogue. The authors substantiate the structure of a foreign language textbook, designed for preparing students at a linguistic university for "dialogue comprehension". They present three stages of working with culture-oriented material: orientation in the casestudy of intercultural interaction, making a reasonable decision to comply cultural and conceptual pictures of the world, transfer of dialogue contexts into intercultural interaction. The article describes the strategies of information and cognitive activity of an individual built in the textbook in the situation of "person - person" and "person - object" intercultural interaction. That provides the possibility for an individual to reach understanding in the process of a dialogue. A set of case-studies, communicative-dialogue and culturally creative didactic practices is aimed at mastering by students the strategies of working with culture-oriented material of a foreign language textbook. Abstract

Mankind has faced new challenges related to the development of the Internet era, and the formation of a digital society, digital (global) consciousness, a new axiosphere associated with the development of all forms of digitalization and networking. Due to the expansion of the information space to a state of unlimited, weak or impossible assessment of its reliability, there are risks of manipulating consciousness through the "soft power" of politics, art, and education. Such risks can be mitigated by education, which, during the period of widespread digitalization, must find answers to new challenges related to the education of a person in a network society. The article deals with the preparation of a new generation of teachers with new "digital" abilities, ready to overcome the challenges of our time. The empirical study addresses the issue of the range of digital teacher professions needed for life and work in the emerging Industry 4.0. Abstract

The article mainly focuses on the essence and structure of the intercultural communicative competence of senior pupils. First of all, it reveals the basic personal features required for successful intercultural communication. In addition, it studies the interrelation between the intercultural communicative competence and the foreign language communicative competence. Moreover, it suggests forming the perceptive-cognitive aspect of the intercultural communicative competence of senior pupils according to the peculiarities of this school age. Besides, it singles out the constituent parts of the intercultural communicative competence of senior pupils and, as a result, puts forward its definition Целью данной статьи является анализ сущности и структуры межкультурной коммуникативной компетенции старших школьников. Abstract

This paper is devoted to the insufficiently studied problem of the program design for training of T & I educators. The problem is investigated from the position of the social relevance of the T & I educators profession, and its specificity. The structure of the professional competences necessary for T & I educators is being determined as well as the requirements, which stand in front of these specialists. We propose a Masters program, which includes a number of original innovative courses, disciplines, providing profoundness, comprehensiveness, practical and research orientation of future T & I educators training. Статья посвящена малоизученной проблеме разработки программы подготовки преподавателей перевода. Проблема исследована с позиций социальной востребованности профессии преподавателя перевода, её специфики. Исследована структура компетенции профессионала в области преподавания перевода, выявлены предъявляемые ему требования. Предложена обучающая магистерская программа, включающая ряд оригинальных инновационных курсов-дисциплин, обеспечивающих фундаментализацию, всесторонность, практическую и исследовательскую направленность подготовки будущих преподавателей перевода.

Abstract

В данной статье ставится вопрос о межкультурном подходе к обучению будущих переводчиков стратегиям предпереводческого анализа исходного текста. Рассматривается сущность межкультурной компетенции переводчика, определяется её специфика на этапе предпереводческого анализа исходного текста. Автор раскрывает особенности и последовательность действий переводчика в процессе реализации стратегий межкультурной интерпретации текста. Определяется лингводидактический статус стратегий межкультурной интерпретации как компонентов содержания обучения будущих переводчиков. This article is devoted to the application of cross-cultural approach in training future translators to conduct a pre-translation analysis of the text in the source language. The essence of intercultural competence of an interpreter as well as its specific features are determined on the stage of pretranslation analysis of the source text. The author reveals the features and workflow of an interpreter in the process of implementing strategies of intercultural interpretation of the text. The didactic status of strategies for intercultural interpretation regarded as components of the content of the training of future translators is determined.

The author describes the functions and justifies the role of a training platform as a form of exchange of best practices of teaching foreign languages. The research provides the analysis of positive aspects of training platforms as special forms of cooperation between teachers in the sphere of teaching foreign languages with the purpose of sharing best practices.
