1. LncRNA RP11-686D22.10 is related with the survival of breast cancer patients, affects the proliferation, invasion of breast cancer cell lines

Abstract

Objective To dientify the correlation between the expression of long-chain non-coding RNA (lncRNA) RP11-686D22.10 and the survival of breast cancer patients, and to explore the effect of over-expression of RP11-686D22.10 on the proliferation and invasion of breast cancer cell lines. Methods The relationship between the expression level of RP11-686D22.10 and the survival time of breast cancer patients was analyzed with GEPIA database. The expression of RP11-686D22.10 in mammary epithelial cell line MCF-10A and breast cancer cell lines MCF7, SKBR3, HCC1937, BT549 and MB-MDA-468 was detected by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). SKBR3 cell with the least expression of RP11-686D22.10 was selected and transfected with control plasmid (NC group) and RP11-686D22.10 over-expression plasmid (RP11-686D22.10 group). The proliferation and invasion of breast cancer cells were detected by CCK-8 and Transwell assays, respectively. The Linc2Go database predicted the targeting microRNA (miRNA) of RP11-686D22.10, and the dual-luciferase reporter gene assay was used to target at relationship between RP11-686D22.10 and miR-454-3p. The expression of miR-454-3p was detected by RT-qPCR. Western blot was used to detect the protein expression of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. Results Compared with breast cancer patients with low expression of RP11-686D22.10, patients with high expression of RP11-686D22.10 had longer overall survival (PConclusions The expression level of RP11-686D22.10 is closely related to the survival of breast cancer patients. Over-expression of RP11-686D22.10 inhibits the proliferation and invasion of breast cancer cell lines by targeting at miR-454-3p.

Abstract

The study of temporal coherence in a Bose-Einstein condensate of photons can be challenging, especially in the presence of correlations between the photonic modes. In this work, we use a microscopic, multimode model of photonic condensation inside a dye-filled microcavity and the quantum regression theorem, to derive an analytical expression for the equation of motion of the photon-photon correlation function. This allows us to derive the coherence time of the photonic modes and identify a nonmonotonic dependence of the temporal coherence of the condensed light with the cutoff frequency of the microcavity., Comment: 12 pages, 5 figures

Abstract

The temporal coherence of an ideal Bose gas increases as the system approaches the Bose-Einstein condensation threshold from below, with coherence time diverging at the critical point. However, counter-examples have been observed for condensates of photons formed in an externally pumped, dye-filled microcavity, wherein the coherence time decreases rapidly for increasing particle number above threshold. This paper establishes intermode correlations as the central explanation for the experimentally observed dramatic decrease in the coherence time beyond critical pump power., Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures

Abstract

We demonstrate the tuning of the magnetic dipole-dipole interaction (DDI) within a dysprosium Bose-Einstein condensate by rapidly rotating the orientation of the atomic dipoles. The tunability of the dipolar mean-field energy manifests as a modified gas aspect ratio after time-of-flight expansion. We demonstrate that both the magnitude and the sign of the DDI can be tuned using this technique. In particular, we show that a magic rotation angle exists at which the mean-field DDI can be eliminated, and at this angle, we observe that the expansion dynamics of the condensate is close to that predicted for a non-dipolar gas. The ability to tune the strength of the DDI opens new avenues toward the creation of exotic soliton and vortex states as well as unusual quantum lattice phases and Weyl superfluids., Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures

Abstract

Isolated quantum many-body systems with integrable dynamics generically do not thermalize when taken far from equilibrium. As one perturbs such systems away from the integrable point, thermalization sets in, but the nature of the crossover from integrable to thermalizing behavior is an unresolved and actively discussed question. We explore this question by studying the dynamics of the momentum distribution function in a dipolar quantum Newton's cradle consisting of highly magnetic dysprosium atoms. This is accomplished by creating the first one-dimensional Bose gas with strong magnetic dipole-dipole interactions. These interactions provide tunability of both the strength of the integrability-breaking perturbation and the nature of the near-integrable dynamics. We provide the first experimental evidence that thermalization close to a strongly interacting integrable point occurs in two steps: prethermalization followed by near-exponential thermalization. Exact numerical calculations on a two-rung lattice model yield a similar two-timescale process, suggesting that this is generic in strongly interacting near-integrable models. Moreover, the measured thermalization rate is consistent with a parameter-free theoretical estimate, based on identifying the types of collisions that dominate thermalization. Abstract

Winter sports have gained popularity in recent years. These sports and activities, however, come with some health concerns, particularly in harsh and extremely cold conditions. A self-heating, flexible, and smart conductive material that can monitor body health in extreme conditions would thus be highly desirable. Inspired by the structure of a spider-web, a flexible pressure sensor was developed by depositing a CNTs/CuS composite coating on a fabric surface with a cellulose-entangled structure constructed by hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC). The obtained flexible pressure sensor demonstrated stable physiological signal detection and temperature insensitivity during photothermal heating, attributed to the water-retention capacity of HPMC. In addition, it exhibited excellent electrical conductivity (resistance of 10 Ω cm−1), deicing (181s), sterilization (≈99.99%), UV resistance (UPF ≈ 13 926), environmental adaptability (−78 °C to 50 °C) and high sensitivity (13.25 ± 0.123 kPa−1). Based on the organisational learning theory and ambidextrous theory, this paper explores the impact of shared leadership on ambidextrous competence in R&D teams, constructs a multi-factor model including shared leadership, strategic learning, organisational trust and ambidextrous competence in R&D teams, and selects 106 teams from 32 science and technology enterprises as samples to test the hypothesis. The results show that, shared leadership of R&D team has a significantly positive impact on ambidexterity; Strategic learning plays an intermediary role in influencing shared leadership and ambidexterity; organisational trust can not only positively regulate the relationship between strategic learning and ambidexterity, but also regulate the mediating role of strategic learning between shared leadership and ambidexterity in R&D teams. The higher the level of organisational trust, the stronger the mediating role of strategic learning. This study enriches the literature research of organisational behaviour. Ambidexterity plays a vital role in the innovation and development of enterprises in the era of big data. 34. Anisotropic dependence of tune-out wavelength near Dy 741-nm transition

Abstract

We report the first measurement of a tune-out wavelength for ground-state bosonic Dy and linearly polarized light. The tune-out wavelength measured is near the narrow-line 741-nm transition in $^{162}$Dy, and is the wavelength at which the total Stark shift of the ground state vanishes. We find that it strongly depends on the relative angle between the optical field and quantization axis due to Dy's large tensor polarizability. This anisotropy provides a wide, 22-GHz tunability of the tune-out frequency for linearly polarized light, in contrast to Rb and Cs whose near-infrared tune-out wavelengths do not exhibit large anisotropy. The measurements of the total light shift are performed by measuring the contrast of multipulse Kapitza-Dirac diffraction. The calculated wavelengths are within a few GHz of the measured values using known Dy electronic transition data. The lack of hyperfine structure in bosonic Dy implies that the tune-out wavelengths for the other bosonic Dy isotopes should be related to this $^{162}$Dy measurement by the known isotope shifts., Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures

Abstract

We report the measurement of collisions between two Bose-Einstein condensates with strong dipolar interactions. The collision velocity is significantly larger than the internal velocity distribution widths of the individual condensates, and thus, with the condensates being sufficiently dilute, a halo corresponding to the two-body differential scattering cross section is observed. The results demonstrate a novel regime of quantum scattering, relevant to dipolar interactions, in which a large number of angular momentum states become coupled during the collision. Abstract

We report on the anisotropic expansion of ultracold bosonic dysprosium gases at temperatures above quantum degeneracy and develop a quantitative theory to describe this behavior. The theory expresses the post-expansion aspect ratio in terms of temperature and microscopic collisional properties by incorporating Hartree-Fock mean-field interactions, hydrodynamic effects, and Bose-enhancement factors. Our results extend the utility of expansion imaging by providing accurate thermometry for dipolar thermal Bose gases, reducing error in expansion thermometry from tens of percent to only a few percent. Abstract

We describe the creation of a long-lived spin-orbit-coupled gas of quantum degenerate atoms using the most magnetic fermionic element, dysprosium. Spin-orbit-coupling arises from a synthetic gauge field created by the adiabatic following of degenerate dressed states comprised of optically coupled components of an atomic spin. Because of dysprosium's large electronic orbital angular momentum and large magnetic moment, the lifetime of the gas is limited not by spontaneous emission from the light-matter coupling, as for gases of alkali-metal atoms, but by dipolar relaxation of the spin. This relaxation is suppressed at large magnetic fields due to Fermi statistics. We observe lifetimes up to 400 ms, which exceeds that of spin-orbit-coupled fermionic alkali atoms by a factor of 10-100, and is close to the value obtained from a theoretical model. Elastic dipolar interactions are also observed to influence the Rabi evolution of the spin, revealing an interacting fermionic system. The long lifetime of this weakly interacting spin-orbit-coupled degenerate Fermi gas will facilitate the study of quantum many-body phenomena manifest at longer timescales, with exciting implications for the exploration of exotic topological quantum liquids., Comment: 11 pages, 8 figures, one appendix

Sprague-Dawley rats were intravenous administrated (5 mg/kg) and oral administrated (30 mg/kg) with adagrasib, and the plasma concentration of adagrasib was determined. After single oral administration of adagrasib (30 mg/kg), the heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, intestine, and pancreas were excised. The organs were homogenized with saline solution, and the concentration of adagrasib in tissues was determined.Results: The intra- and inter-day accuracy were from 84.90% to 113.47%, and the precision was within ± 15%. Abstract

We report Bose-Einstein condensation of two isotopes of the highly magnetic element dysprosium: 162Dy and 160Dy. For 162Dy, condensates with 10^5 atoms form below T = 50 nK. We find the evaporation efficiency for the isotope 160Dy to be poor; however, by utilizing a low-field Fano-Feshbach resonance to carefully change the scattering properties, it is possible to produce a Bose-Einstein condensate of 160Dy with 10^3 atoms. Abstract

We observe the suppression of inelastic dipolar scattering in ultracold Fermi gases of the highly magnetic atom dysprosium: the more energy that is released, the less frequently these exothermic reactions take place, and only quantum spin statistics can explain this counterintuitive effect. Inelastic dipolar scattering in non-zero magnetic fields leads to heating or to loss of the trapped population, both detrimental to experiments intended to study quantum many-body physics with strongly dipolar gases. Fermi statistics, however, is predicted to lead to a kinematic suppression of these harmful reactions. Indeed, we observe a 120-fold suppression of dipolar relaxation in fermionic versus bosonic Dy, as expected from theory describing universal inelastic dipolar scattering, though never before experimentally confirmed. Similarly low inelastic cross sections are observed in spin mixtures, also with striking correspondence to universal dipolar scattering predictions. Abstract

The attenuation coefficient of 532 nm light in water under different atmospheric conditions was investigated. Measurements were made over a two-year period at the same location and show that the attenuation coefficient is significantly influenced by the atmospheric environment. It is lowest when the atmospheric pressure is high and temperature is low, and is highest when the atmospheric pressure is low and temperature is high. The maximum attenuation coefficient of pure water in these studies was about three times the minimum value. The mechanism of the phenomena is discussed. These results are also important in underwater acoustics.
