The novel coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic is affecting all around the world, particularly healthcare systems. The most critical problem for the COVID-19 infection as an emerging acute respiratory disease is the lack of effective methods to control and treat the disease. To date, there is no specific therapeutic agent approved by the FDA, so treatment options are limited. There are more than 4034 interventional studies in progress listed in clinicaltrials.org (Access date: 21.12.2021). This number was 900 approximately in December 2020. These intensive studies, which have increased fourfold, are to find a safe and effective treatment method. Since absolute therapy has not been standardized globally, the treatment approach varies from country to country and even from hospital to hospital. In addition to the vaccine studies that have been finalized and the vaccines are available for use, additional studies are underway for existing drugs that can prevent this disease or improve outcomes for COVID patients. The potential toxicity of the drugs chosen for the treatment is one of the more critical limiting factors. Although the side effects of previously approved medicines are known, studies are needed to determine the side effect profiles for newly approved products such as remdesivir.In this review, we gathered the adverse and toxic effects of medications used against COVID-19 treatment according to the COVID guideline published by the Scientific Advisory Board of the Ministry of Health of Turkey.

Üretim ve tüketimin giderek artması ile birlikte oluşan rekabet ortamı işletmelerde reklam ihtiyacım doğurmuştur. Reklam sektöründe oluşan rekabet, firmalara hizmet veren reklam ajanslarını hedef kitleye uygun reklam oluşturma telaşına sokmuştur. Bu sebeple birçok farklı mecra ve yeni yöntemler kullanılarak reklamlar hazırlanmaktadır. Her geçen gün daha da gelişen teknoloji yenilikler reklam uygulamalarında yeniden yapılanmayı gerektirmiştir. Reklam, geçmişten günümüze güncel bir yapıya bürünmüştür. Reklam; içerdiği satış, bilgilendirme, ikna etme, güncelliği yakalama, medya takibi, yeni tasarım alternatifleri gibi ürün ve hizmetin satışını daha kolay ve hızlı bir şekilde ortaya koyacağı alanlara yönelmiştir. Bu durum tüketimi arttırarak reklamı da yeni bir noktaya getirmiştir. Reklam, bilgiye ulaşma ve değerlendirmenin yanı sıra, tüketici üzerinde etki bırakıp gündem oluşturacak kampanyalar üreterek işletme ve hedef kitle arasındaki iletişim faaliyetlerini duyuran bir gerekliliktir. Reklam kampanyası oluşturmak için; reklamın amaçları ve mesajı, kampanya ve medya stratejisi, bütçeleme ve reklamın etkisi hakkında veriler sağlayan kampanya öncesi araştırmaların yapılmasını gerektirmektedir. Bu araştırmalar doğrultusunda; reklam stratejisi, karar alma ve planlama süreçleri ile markaların reklam desteği sürmektedir. Marka hedeflerinin yerine getirilmesi için tüm ayrıntılar planlanıp, bir dizi tanıtım etkinliği bir araya getirilerek reklam kampanyası oluşturulmaktadır. Kampanya oluşturulurken, güncelliğin ve zamanın dinamiğinin yakalanması reklam üzerinde etkiye sahiptir. Post modern çağı yaşadığımız süreçteki reklam kampanyaları ve görsel anlatım dilleri çağa uygun özellikler göstermektedir. Reklam kampanyası tasarım süreci belli unsurlara bağlı kalsa da kendi içerisindeki farklı dinamiklerden yararlanarak güncel düşünme ve tasarlama yapısını içerisinde barındırmaktadır. Bu araştırmada; marka imajı yaratılması sürecinde reklamların marka değeri üzerine olan etkisi araştırılacaktır. Ayrıca araştırılan bu etkilerin Türk Telekom A.Ş.'nin hazırladığı reklam kampanyalarının marka imajına katkısının ne derece olduğu incelenecektir. With the increasing production and consumption, the competitive environment created the need for advertising in enterprises. Competition in the advertising sector has led the advertising agencies serving the companies to rush to create advertisements appropriate to the target audience. For this reason, advertisements are prepared by using many different channels and new methods. More and more technological innovations have required restructuring in advertising applications. Advertising has taken on a current structure from the past to the present. Advertisement; sales, information, persuasion, catch up-to-date, media monitoring, new design alternatives, such as the sale of products and services more easily and quickly put forward areas. This increased consumption and brought advertisement to a new point. In addition to reaching and evaluating information, advertising is a necessity that announces communication activities between the business and the target audience by producing campaigns that will create an agenda for the consumer. To create an ad campaign; It requires pre-campaign research that provides data on the goals and message of advertising, campaign and media strategy, budgeting and the impact of advertising. In line with these researches; advertising strategy, decision-making and planning processes, and advertising support of brands continue. In order to fulfill the brand goals, all details are planned and a series of promotional activities are brought together to create an advertising campaign. While the campaign is being created, catching up to date and dynamic of time has an impact on advertising. The advertising campaigns and visual expression languages in the post-modern era show characteristics appropriate to the era. Although the advertising campaign design process depends on certain elements, it incorporates the current thinking and designing structure by making use of different dynamics within itself. In this study; the effect of advertisements on brand value will be investigated in the process of creating brand image. Bitkilerde ikincil metabolitler olarak bilinen doğal bileşiklerin, oksidatif stres tarafından indüklenen genetik hasara karşı koruyucu etkileri olduğu birçok çalışmada gösterilmektedir. Bitkilerden elde edilen özellikle fenolik yapıdaki kimyasal maddeler antioksidan özellikleri nedeniyle reaktif oksijen bileşiklerini inaktive ederek radikal hasarının önlenmesinde ve tedavisinde önemli rol oynamaktadırlar. Ancak günümüzde bitkisel ürünlerin birçoğunun yapı ve etkinlikleri tam olarak aydınlatılmamıştır ve birçok bitkisel antioksidan maddenin toksisitelerine ve insan sağlığına olası risklerine ilişkin yeterli bilgi bulunmamaktadır. Bu tez çalışmasında, doğal ürünlerde bulunan fenolik bileşiklerden piknogenol, resveratrol, rosmarinik asit, vanilik asit ve sinnamik asidin sitotoksik, genotoksik ve antigenotoksik etkilerinin araştırılması hedeflenmiştir. Tez çalışması kapsamında fenolik bileşiklerin troloks eşdeğer antioksidan kapasite tayini (TEAK) ile antioksidan özellikleri ve çin hamsteri ovaryum hücrelerinde (CHO) nötral kırmızı alım yöntemi (NKA) ile olası sitotoksik etkileri belirlenmiş, ayrıca sitotoksik etki göstermeyen konsantrasyonlarda hem genotoksik etkileri hem de oksidatif hasara neden olan ve genotoksik etki potansiyeli bilinen hidrojen peroksite (H2O2) karşı antigenotoksik etkileri insan lenfosit hücrelerinde tek hücre jel elektroforez (Comet) ve mikroçekirdek (MÇ) yöntemleri ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bu bileşiklerden piknogenol, resveratrol ve rosmarinik asidin düşük konsantrasyonlarda sitotoksik ve genotoksik etkileri olmadığı ancak yüksek konsantrasyonlarda sitotoksik ve genotoksik etkili olabildikleri gösterilmiştir. Vanilik ve sinnamik asit ise araştırılan konsantrasyonlarda sitotoksik ve genotoksik etkiye neden olmamıştır. Diğer yandan araştırılan fenolik bileşiklerin hepsinin primer DNA hasarına ve MÇ oluşumuna neden olan H2O2'nin oluşturduğu DNA hasarını azaltıcı etkileri olduğu belirlenmiştir. It has been shown in many studies that natural compounds in plants known as secondary metabolites, have protective effects against genetic damage induced by oxidative stress. Particularly phenolic phytochemicals from plants play an important role in the prevention and treatment of radical damage by inactivating the reactive oxygen compounds due to their antioxidant properties. However the structure and the activities of many herbal products are not fully elucidated yet and there is not enough data about the toxicity of herbal antioxidants and their possible risks to human health. In this thesis, it was aimed to determine the cytotoxic, genotoxic and antigenotoxic effects of pycnogenol, resveratrol, rosmarinic acid, vanillic acid and cinnamic acid which are phenolic compounds found in natural products. In this thesis, antioxidant properties of phenolic compounds were measured by trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity assay (TEAC) and potential cytotoxic effects were evaluated in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells by neutral red uptake method (NRU), as well as at the non-cytotoxic concentrations, both genotoxic and antigenotoxic effects against hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), which is known to have genotoxic potential and causes oxidative damage were assessed by single cell gel electrophoresis (Comet) and micronucleus (MN) methods in human lymphocytes. Of these compounds, pycnogenol, resveratrol and rosmarinic acid at low concentrations have been shown to have no cytotoxic and genotoxic effects, but at the high concentrations they show cytotoxic and genotoxic effects. But vanillic acid and cinnamic acid at all studied concentrations did not cause cytotoxicity and genotoxicity. On the other hand it was determined that all of the phenolic compounds have reduced genotoxic effects of H2O2 which causes pimer DNA damage and micronucleus formation. 226

Bu çalışmada, MMC'nin insan lenfositlerinde meydana getirdiği kromozomalanormallikler (KA), kardeş kromatid değişimleri (KKD) ve mikronükleus (MN)oluşumlarına karşı, lipoik asit (LA) ve ferulik asitin (FA) antigenotoksik etkileriaraştırılmıştır. Ayrıca, MMC'nin mitotik indeks ve replikasyon indeksiüzerindeki etkilerine karşı, lipoik asit ve ferulik asitin antioksidan aktivitesinebağlı iyileştirici bir etkisinin olup olmadığı da incelenmiştir. LA ile yapılançalışmada her bir kültüre 48 saat süre ile 0,2 ?g/ml MMC uygulanmıştır. Lipoikasit uygulaması, MMC'den 1 saat önce, eş zamanlı ve 1 saat sonra olmak üzereüç farklı şekilde, üç farklı konsantrasyon kullanılarak (0,5, 1, 2 ?g/ml)yapılmıştır. FA uygulaması ise 24 saat süreyle MMC ile eş zamanlı olarak beşfarklı konsantrasyon (0,25, 0,50, 1, 2, 4 ?g/ml) kullanılarak yapılmıştır.Deneylerde, bir negatif kontrol, bir pozitif kontrol (0,2 ?g/ml MMC) ve bir deçözücü kontrol (10?g/ml etanol) bulundurulmuştur. MMC ile lipoik asit veferulik asidin kombine uygulandığı kültürlerin hepsinde, hem KA/hücre hem deanormal hücre frekanslarında, pozitif kontrole göre bir azalma gözlenmiştir. Buazalma LA uygulamasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlıdır. LA ve FA eklenmiştüm kültürlerde, MMC tarafından oluşturulan KKD/hücre ve MN/hücrefrekanslarında da istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir azalma gözlenmiştir. Busonuçlar lipoik asit ve feulik asitin MMC tarafından oluşturulan genetik hasarüzerine antiklastojenik ve antimutajenik etkisinin olduğunu göstermektedir.Diğer yandan, LA ve FA tüm dozlarda mitotik indeksde istatistiksel olarakönemli bir azalmaya yol açmıştır. Preventive efficacy of LA and FA dueto their antioxidant properties against the effect of MMC on the mitotic indexand replication index was also investigated. In the LA study, all cultures weretreated with 0,2 ?g/ml MMC for 48 hours. Three different consantrations (0,5,1, 2 ?g/ml) of LA was added to the MMC induced cultures for three differenttimes; 1 hour pre-teratment, simultanous treatment and 1 hour post-treatment.In the FA study, the MMC induced cultures were simultaneously treated withfive different consentrations (0,25, 0,5, 1, 2, 4 ?g/ml) for 24 hours. A negativecontrol, a positive control and a vehicle treated control (ethanol) was alsoincluded. In all the cultures treated with MMC+LA and MMC+FA, thefrequency of abnormal cells and CA/cell were reduced compared with MMCtreated cells. This reduction was significant in LA treatment. Statisticallysignificant reduction was also observed in SCE/cell and MN frequencies in bothLA and FA treatments. These results show anticlastogenic and antimutageniceffects of LA and FA against MMC induced genetic damage. On the other hand,LA and FA treatments induced significant reduction in the mitotic index in alltreatments.
