A dry method of the powder preparation for tantalum solid electrolytic capacitor was studied using particle omposition equipment. The effects of paticle size and concentration of PMMA binder on the powder characteristics and the frequency response of impedance of the coducted powder was investigated in detail. It was confirmed that the existence state of binder in a dry method differs with that of a wet method by SEM photographs. The impedance behavior of powder bed can be described by the model of the existence state of binder.
