Encephalitis in children remains one of the most severe lesions of the nervous system. The relevance of this problem is associated with the treatment of complications; this study represents the result of ozonated neuroprotection in children with encephalitis. The effectiveness of the treatment method is pathogenetically substantiated and proven by clinical and neurological symptoms and neuroimaging methods. Materials and research methods. To solve this goal, we examined 58 children with a diagnosis of encephalitis in the age of 8 to 14 years. Of these, girls - 19 (32.7%), boys - 39 (67.3%). The average age of sick children with encephalitis was 9.2 + 0.2 years. All children underwent an in-depth assessment of the clinical and neurological status according to the generally accepted scheme. The diagnosis was confirmed by the study of a general blood test, as well as by the results of magnetic resonance imaging. An increase in ESR and leukocytosis with a shift to the left was noted in the blood. Results and its discussion. According to the results of studying the history and clinical and neurological data, primary encephalitis was detected in 12 cases (20.7%). The most common etiological factors of primary encephalitis were herpetic and adenovirus infections (7 cases - 58.3%). Secondary encephalitis was diagnosed in 46 observed patients (75% and most often developed after respiratory viral infections, less commonly pneumonia: 14 cases - 30.4%). In 3 cases, encephalitis developed after receiving the vaccine (6.5%). The use of intravenous administration of ozonated cerebrolysin is pathogenetically justified, since the established immunomodulating, detoxifying (bactericidal, viricidal, fungicidal) metabolizing effect of this method enhances the neuroprotective and neurotrophic effects of basic drugs, which ultimately improves the clinical picture of the manifestations of encephalitis.
