We investigated the suppression of the variation of switching field [H.sub.sw] by reducing magnetization M in submicron-sized magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) by oxidizing the surface of the CoFeB layer. Examination confirmed a reduction in the M of oxidized CoFeB film. The results also confirmed that oxidization enlarges anisotropy field [H.sub.[kappa]] of CoFeB films. We applied this film to the free layer of submicron-sized MTJs of various aspect ratios. The results revealed that [H.sub.sw] variation depending on the aspect ratio is reduced more with oxidation than without. We confirmed that [H.sub.sw] variation in submicron-sized MTJs originating in the CoFeB free layer's shape decreased due to the oxidation, which reduced the switching field distribution (SFD) for the MTJs. Background: Literature regarding the feasibility of inexperienced surgeons using needle arthroscopy is limited. The present study aimed to clarify the feasibility of performing ankle needle arthroscopy for inexperienced surgeons., Methods: Diagnostic needle arthroscopy was performed for 10 cadaveric ankles by two surgeons with different levels of experience in ankle arthroscopy (inexperienced and expert surgeons). The visibility of arthroscopy was assessed based on a 15-point checklist and compared between surgeons. In addition, iatrogenic articular cartilage injury created by the inexperienced surgeon was investigated., Results: The number of visible points was significantly larger for the expert surgeon than for the inexperienced surgeon (14.1 ± 1.0 vs. 13.7 ± 1.0, P = 0.035). In most previous studies investigating return to preinjury level of sport (RTPS) after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR), whether patients continue aiming for RTPS not only before but also after ACLR was unclear because environmental and social factors were not considered. Herein, we aimed to evaluate factors associated with RTPS among athletes who desired to achieve RTPS even after ACLR, excluding patients who no longer desire this goal owing to environmental and social factors. Ninety-two patients who underwent primary double-bundle ACLR with a minimum 2-year follow-up and desired to achieve RTPS before surgery were retrospectively enrolled. Twelve (13%) patients who no longer desired to achieve RTPS after ACLR owing to environmental and social factors were excluded. Sixty-nine patients were included in the final cohort. At the final follow-up, the patients were split into two groups: those who achieved (R group) or did not achieve (N group) RTPS based on patient self-assessment. The Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) and Lysholm scores were also determined. The anterior tibial translation in the Lachman test and acceleration and external rotational angular velocity (ERAV) in the pivot shift test were measured at the hardware removal operation. Significant differences were observed for preinjury level of sports between the groups ( p  < 0.05). The rate of RTPS in competitive athletes was lower than that in recreational athletes (20/46: 43% vs. 16/22: 73%; p =.037). Lysholm score, KOOS symptom, pain, and quality of life showed higher values in the R group than in the N group ( p  < 0.050). Acceleration was significantly lower in the R group than in the N group ( p  = 0.028). Competitive level of sports is a risk factor for failure to achieve RTPS. The postoperative functional outcomes in the group that achieved RTPS showed more favorable results. Purpose: Many large radiographic datasets of lung nodules are available, but the small and hard-to-detect nodules are rarely validated by computed tomography. Such difficult nodules are crucial for training nodule detection methods. This lack of difficult nodules for training can be addressed by artificial nodule synthesis algorithms, which can create artificially embedded nodules. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a novel cost function for training networks to detect such lesions. Embedding artificial lesions in healthy medical images is effective when positive cases are insufficient for network training. Although this approach provides both positive (lesion-embedded) images and the corresponding negative (lesion-free) images, no known methods effectively use these pairs for training. This paper presents a novel cost function for segmentation-based detection networks when positive-negative pairs are available., Methods: Based on the classic U-Net, new terms were added to the original Dice loss for reducing false positives and the contrastive learning of diseased regions in the image pairs. The experimental network was trained and evaluated, respectively, on 131,072 fully synthesized pairs of images simulating lung cancer and real chest X-ray images from the Japanese Society of Radiological Technology dataset., Results: The proposed method outperformed RetinaNet and a single-shot multibox detector. The sensitivities were 0.688 and 0.507 when the number of false positives per image was 0.2, respectively, with and without fine-tuning under the leave-one-case-out setting., Conclusion: To our knowledge, this is the first study in which a method for detecting pulmonary nodules in chest X-ray images was evaluated on a real clinical dataset after being trained on fully synthesized images. In this study, we investigated the application of distributed learning, including federated learning and cyclical weight transfer, in the development of computer-aided detection (CADe) software for (1) cerebral aneurysm detection in magnetic resonance (MR) angiography images and (2) brain metastasis detection in brain contrast-enhanced MR images. We used datasets collected from various institutions, scanner vendors, and magnetic field strengths for each target CADe software. We compared the performance of multiple strategies, including a centralized strategy, in which software development is conducted at a development institution after collecting de-identified data from multiple institutions. Our results showed that the performance of CADe software trained through distributed learning was equal to or better than that trained through the centralized strategy. However, the distributed learning strategies that achieved the highest performance depend on the target CADe software. Lassa virus (LASV) is the causative agent of human Lassa fever which in severe cases manifests as hemorrhagic fever leading to thousands of deaths annually. However, no approved vaccines or antiviral drugs are currently available. Recently, we screened approximately 2,500 compounds using a recombinant vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) expressing LASV glycoprotein GP (VSV-LASVGP) and identified a P-glycoprotein inhibitor as a potential LASV entry inhibitor. Here, we show that another identified candidate, hexestrol (HES), an estrogen receptor agonist, is also a LASV entry inhibitor. HES inhibited VSV-LASVGP replication with a 50% inhibitory concentration (IC 50 ) of 0.63 µM. Importantly, HES also inhibited authentic LASV replication with IC 50 values of 0.31 µM-0.61 µM. Time-of-addition and cell-based membrane fusion assays suggested that HES inhibits the membrane fusion step during virus entry. Alternative estrogen receptor agonists did not inhibit VSV-LASVGP replication, suggesting that the estrogen receptor itself is unlikely to be involved in the antiviral activity of HES. Generation of a HES-resistant mutant revealed that the phenylalanine at amino acid position 446 (F446) of LASVGP, which is located in the transmembrane region, conferred resistance to HES. Although mutation of F446 enhanced the membrane fusion activity of LASVGP, it exhibited reduced VSV-LASVGP replication, most likely due to the instability of the pre-fusion state of LASVGP. Collectively, our results demonstrated that HES is a promising anti-LASV drug that acts by inhibiting the membrane fusion step of LASV entry. This study also highlights the importance of the LASVGP transmembrane region as a target for anti-LASV drugs.IMPORTANCELassa virus (LASV), the causative agent of Lassa fever, is the most devastating mammarenavirus with respect to its impact on public health in West Africa. However, no approved antiviral drugs or vaccines are currently available. Here, we identified hexestrol (HES), an estrogen receptor agonist, as the potential antiviral candidate drug. We showed that the estrogen receptor itself is not involved in the antiviral activity. HES directly bound to LASVGP and blocked membrane fusion, thereby inhibiting LASV infection. Through the generation of a HES-resistant virus, we found that phenylalanine at position 446 (F446) within the LASVGP transmembrane region plays a crucial role in the antiviral activity of HES. The mutation at F446 caused reduced virus replication, likely due to the instability of the pre-fusion state of LASVGP. To generate synthetic medical data incorporating image-tabular hybrid data by merging an image encoding/decoding model with a table-compatible generative model and assess their utility. We used 1342 cases from the Stony Brook University Covid-19-positive cases, comprising chest X-ray radiographs (CXRs) and tabular clinical data as a private dataset (pDS). We generated a synthetic dataset (sDS) through the following steps: (I) dimensionally reducing CXRs in the pDS using a pretrained encoder of the auto-encoding generative adversarial networks (αGAN) and integrating them with the correspondent tabular clinical data; (II) training the conditional tabular GAN (CTGAN) on this combined data to generate synthetic records, encompassing encoded image features and clinical data; and (III) reconstructing synthetic images from these encoded image features in the sDS using a pretrained decoder of the αGAN. The utility of sDS was assessed by the performance of the prediction models for patient outcomes (deceased or discharged). For the pDS test set, the area under the receiver operating characteristic (AUC) curve was calculated to compare the performance of prediction models trained separately with pDS, sDS, or a combination of both. We created an sDS comprising CXRs with a resolution of 256 × 256 pixels and tabular data containing 13 variables. The AUC for the outcome was 0.83 when the model was trained with the pDS, 0.74 with the sDS, and 0.87 when combining pDS and sDS for training. Background: There is a risk of cephalic vein injury during shoulder arthroscopy. However, limited data regarding its anatomic course are available., Purpose: To analyze the positional relationship and factors affecting the distance between the coracoid tip and cephalic veins., Study Design: Case series; Level of evidence, 4., Methods: A total of 80 contrast-enhanced computed tomography images from 80 patients (mean age, 49.6 ± 20.3 years; 61 men) were retrospectively analyzed. The distance between the center of the coracoid tip and the vertical line through the cephalic vein was measured in the axial (D1) and sagittal (D2) planes. The distance between 1 cm lateral to the center of the coracoid tip and the vertical line through the cephalic vein was measured in the sagittal plane (D3). Each distance was compared according to patient sex and laterality. Associations between each distance and the patient's age, height, weight, and body mass index were investigated., Results: The mean D1 was 18.4 ± 7.3 mm in 59 patients. The mean D2 was 23.4 ± 11.6 mm, and it was within 10 mm in 10 patients (12.5%). The mean D3 was 33.7 ± 12.2 mm. There was no significant difference in D1, D2, and D3 according to patient sex or laterality. A positive correlation was observed only between D3 and patient height ( r = 0.320; P = .034)., Conclusion: The cephalic vein was found to travel a mean of 23.4 mm distal and 33.7 mm distal to 1 cm lateral to the coracoid tip. Purpose: To investigate the effects of ramp lesion (RL) and its repair on knee instability in patients with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury by quantitatively assessing anteroposterior and rotational knee instability before and after ACL reconstruction., Methods: All primary double-bundle ACL reconstructions using hamstring autografts between 2016 and 2021 were evaluated retrospectively. Patients with RLs without other meniscal injuries were included in group R, whereas those with isolated ACL injuries constituted group C. RL was repaired using all-inside devices in all patients in group R. Knee instability, including the amount of anterior tibial translation (ATT), and the acceleration and external rotational angular velocity of the knee joint (ERAV) during the pivot-shift test were assessed at the time of surgery. The pivot-shift test grade was recorded., Results: A total of 73 patients were included in this study. Preoperatively, group R (n = 23) had significantly greater pivot-shift grades (P = .039), ATT (6.0 mm, group R; 4.5 mm, group C, P < .001), acceleration (6.8, 2.8; P = .037), and ERAV (3.9, 2.8; P = .001) than group C (n = 50). Intraoperatively, ATT (-1.0 mm, -1.0 mm; P < .001), acceleration (1.2, 1.1; P < .001), and ERAV (1.4, 1.2; P < .001) were significantly decreased compared with the preoperative values in both groups. No significant differences in these values were observed between groups R and C., Conclusions: ACL-injured knees accompanied by RLs exhibited significantly greater anteroposterior and rotatory instability than knees with isolated ACL injuries; increased knee instability can be effectively addressed by performing RL repair in conjunction with ACL reconstruction. Purpose: Standardized uptake values (SUVs) derived from 18 F-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography are a crucial parameter for identifying tumors or abnormalities in an organ. Moreover, exploring ways to improve the identification of tumors or abnormalities using a statistical measurement tool is important in clinical research. Therefore, we developed a fully automatic method to create a personally normalized Z-score map of the liver SUV., Methods: The normalized Z-score map for each patient was created using the SUV mean and standard deviation estimated from blood-test-derived variables, such as alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase, as well as other demographic information. This was performed using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO)-based estimation formula. We also used receiver operating characteristic (ROC) to analyze the results of people with and without hepatic tumors and compared them to the ROC curve of normal SUV., Results: A total of 7757 people were selected for this study. Of these, 7744 were healthy, while 13 had abnormalities. The area under the ROC curve results indicated that the anomaly detection approach (0.91) outperformed only the maximum SUV (0.89). To build the LASSO regression, sets of covariates, including sex, weight, body mass index, blood glucose level, triglyceride, total cholesterol, γ-glutamyl transpeptidase, total protein, creatinine, insulin, albumin, and cholinesterase, were used to determine the SUV mean, whereas weight was used to determine the SUV standard deviation., Conclusion: The Z-score normalizes the mean and standard deviation. It is effective in ROC curve analysis and increases the clarity of the abnormality. The purpose of the study was to develop a liver nodule diagnostic method that accurately localizes and classifies focal liver lesions and identifies the specific liver segments in which they reside by integrating a liver segment division algorithm using a four-dimensional (4D) fully convolutional residual network (FC-ResNet) with a localization and classification model. We retrospectively collected data and divided 106 gadolinium-ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid-enhanced magnetic resonance examinations into Case-sets 1, 2, and 3. A liver segment division algorithm was developed using a 4D FC-ResNet and trained with semi-automatically created silver-standard annotations; performance was evaluated using manually created gold-standard annotations by calculating the Dice scores for each liver segment. The performance of the liver nodule diagnostic method was assessed by comparing the results with those of the original radiology reports. The mean Dice score between the output of the liver segment division model and the gold standard was 0.643 for Case-set 2 (normal liver contours) and 0.534 for Case-set 1 (deformed liver contours). Among the 64 lesions in Case-set 3, the diagnostic method localized 37 lesions, classified 33 lesions, and identified the liver segments for 30 lesions. A total of 28 lesions were true positives, matching the original radiology reports. The liver nodule diagnostic method, which integrates a liver segment division algorithm with a lesion localization and classification model, exhibits great potential for localizing and classifying focal liver lesions and identifying the liver segments in which they reside. Background: Postoperative residual rotatory laxity remains despite improvement in surgical techniques for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction (ACLR)., Purpose: To evaluate factors associated with residual pivot shift after ACLR by quantitative measurement of the pivot shift before and after surgery., Study Design: Case-control study; Level of evidence, 3., Methods: A total of 97 patients who underwent primary double-bundle ACLR between June 2016 and March 2021 and underwent surgery to remove staples, with at least 12 months of follow-up evaluation, were enrolled. Quantitative measurements were performed under general anesthesia immediately before ACLR (preoperatively), after temporary fixation of the ACL graft (intraoperatively), and immediately before staple removal (postoperatively). The laxity of pivot shift was assessed using inertial sensors to measure acceleration and external rotational angular velocity (ERAV). Descriptive data were assessed for associations with postoperative acceleration and ERAV in a univariate analysis. A multiple linear regression analysis was performed to identify factors associated with postoperative acceleration and ERAV., Results: Anterior tibial translation, acceleration, and ERAV increased from intra- to postoperatively ( P < .05). Factors significantly associated with postoperative acceleration were age (β = -0.238; P = .021), lateral posterior tibial slope (PTS) (β = 0.194; P = .048), and preoperative acceleration (β = 0.261; P = .008). Factors significantly affecting postoperative ERAV were age (β = -0.222; P = .029), ramp lesions (β = 0.212; P = .027), and preoperative ERAV (β = 0.323; P = .001)., Conclusion: Greater preoperative laxity in the pivot shift was the factor having the most significant association with residual pivot shift after ACLR using quantitative measurements under general anesthesia. Younger age, higher lateral PTS, and concomitant ramp lesions were significant predictors of residual pivot shift. Purpose: The aim of this study is to assess the dynamics of the tear site of meniscal ramp lesions, particularly considering knee flexion angles, and validate anchor fixation using an all-inside device., Methods: Eight Thiel-embalmed paired cadaveric knees with their whole bodies were used in this study. The ramp lesions were created arthroscopically, and ramp lesion dynamics were evaluated by gradually extending the knee from 90° of knee flexion. Changes in the gap and step-off (0: no step-off; 1: cross-sectional overlap exists; and 2: tibial articular surface exposed) were evaluated at 90°, 60°, 30°, and 10° of knee flexion. After dynamic evaluation, all-inside repairs of the ramp lesions using all-inside devices were conducted. Dissection was performed to confirm the position of anchor fixation., Results: As the knee was extended, the gap significantly decreased at all knee flexion angles. Similarly, the step-off grade decreased as the knee was extended, and the step-off completely disappeared in all cases when the knee was extended from 30° to 10°. The average knee flexion angle at which the gap and step-off completely disappeared was 22.5°. After suturing the ramp lesion, arthroscopic evaluation showed that the gap had disappeared and the step-off had been repaired in all cases. Anchor fixation locations were not found within the joint but were fixed to the semimembranosus tendon or its surrounding articular capsule. Overall, 31% (5/16) anchors were fixed to the attachment site of the semimembranosus tendon, whereas the remaining were fixed to the articular capsule, located peripherally to the semimembranosus tendon., Conclusion: Suturing with an all-inside device for ramp lesions is a good option, and the repair in knee extension was found to be reasonable, considering the dynamics of ramp lesions in this study., Level of Evidence: Level IV., (© 2024 European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy.)

Objective: Gynecologic cancer chemotherapy impacts the quality of life (QOL) of patients, with lasting adverse events that may require treatment adjustments or discontinuation. Consequently, real-time symptom monitoring before outpatient visits has resulted in improved QOL for patients and extended survival times. This study investigated whether there are differences between electronic patient-reported outcomes (e-PRO-CTCAE) and physician-assessed outcomes (NCI-CTCAE) evaluated in an outpatient setting in gynecologic cancer chemotherapy., Methods: The study was conducted on 50 patients who received their first chemotherapy treatment at St. Marianna University Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology from July 1, 2021 to December 31, 2022. PRO-CTCAE and NCI-CTCAE were evaluated at each instance of chemotherapy and 2 weeks after. The PRO-CTCAE was additionally collected weekly using e-PRO., Results: The values for "Joint Pain," "Nausea," "Taste Disturbance," "Constipation," "Insomnia," "Fatigue," "Limb Edema," and "Concentration Impairment" were consistently higher in PRO-CTCAE than in NCI-CTCAE, indicating that physicians underestimated the severity of adverse events. In contrast, there was no significant difference in "Peripheral Neuropathy," demonstrating that physicians had a good understanding of this condition in patients. The weekly responses obtained from e-PRO revealed that symptom exacerbations peaked outside of clinic visits., Conclusions: This study demonstrated physicians tend to underestimate most adverse events. Moreover, the responses using e-PRO revealed peak symptom deterioration occurred outside of outpatient visits. Purpose: The functional role of the calcaneofibular ligament (CFL) is still controversial. We aimed to investigate the anatomical features of the CFL on sonography and the elastic modulus of the CFL in different ankle positions using ultrasound shear-wave elastography (SWE)., Methods: In 14 cadaveric ankles, the angle of the CFL with respect to the long axis of the fibula was measured in the following ankle positions: neutral (N), 30° plantar flexion (PF), and 20° dorsiflexion (DF). In addition, in 24 ankles of healthy adult volunteers, the elastic modulus of the CFL was evaluated with ultrasound SWE in the following ankle positions: neutral (N), 30° plantar flexion with inversion (PI), 30° plantar flexion with eversion (PE), 20° dorsiflexion with inversion (DI), and 20° dorsiflexion with eversion (DE)., Results: The mean angle of the CFL in N, PF, and DF positions was 139.9° ± 12.7°, 121.3° ± 14.1°, and 158.6° ± 13.1°, respectively. The angle of the CFL in N was significantly greater than that in PF and smaller than that in DF (P < 0.0001, both). The mean elastic modulus of the CFL in the N, PI, PE, DI, and DE positions was: 63.6 ± 50.8, 148.0 ± 39.4, 75.8 ± 40.6, 88.1 ± 31.6, and 61.7 ± 29.4 kPa, respectively. The elastic modulus in PI was significantly higher than in other positions, while the values obtained in DI and DE were also significantly different (P < 0.001, both)., Conclusions: The angle of the CFL increased with DF. Background: For needle arthroscopy with 0° viewing, the visible range of intra-articular structures and the difference between portals remain unknown, as do the risks for neurovascular tissue at each portal., Purpose: To clarify the visibility and safety of needle arthroscopy., Study Design: Descriptive laboratory study., Methods: Ten cadaveric ankle specimens were used. A needle arthroscope with a 1.9-mm diameter was inserted from 4 portals (anteromedial [AM], anterolateral [AL], medial midline [MM], and anterocentral [AC]). Visibility was assessed using a 15-point ankle arthroscopy checklist. In addition, the ankles were dissected to measure the distance between each portal and neurovascular tissues. The visibility of the ankle joint was compared between portals., Results: The success rate of visibility in the deltoid ligament and the tip of the medial malleolus was 100% from the AM, MM, and AC portals and 10% from the AL portal, with significant differences between the portals ( P < .01). The visibility success rates in the origin of the anterior talofibular ligament and the tip of the lateral malleolus were 20% for the AM portal, 90% for the MM and AC portals, and 100% for the AL portal, with significant differences between the portals ( P < .01). All other points of the ankle joint were visualized from all the portals with a 100% success rate. The AC portal was in contact with the anterior neurovascular bundle in 4 of the 10 specimens., Conclusion: When needle arthroscopy was performed from the AM or AL portal, the site opposite to the portal in the ankle joint was difficult to visualize. Conversely, most points of the ankle joint could be visualized from the MM and AC portals. Purpose: Recurrent shoulder dislocations can result in kinematic changes of the glenohumeral joint. The number of prior shoulder dislocations may contribute to increased severity of capsulolabral lesions. The kinematics of the glenohumeral joint following multiple dislocations remain poorly understood. The purpose of this study was to assess the kinematics of the glenohumeral joint during anterior dislocations of the shoulder, and more specifically, altered translational motion following multiple dislocations. The kinematics of the glenohumeral joint were hypothesized to change and correlate with the number of dislocations., Methods: Eight fresh-frozen cadaveric shoulders were dissected free of all soft tissues except the glenohumeral capsule. Each joint was mounted in a robotic testing system. At 60 degrees of glenohumeral abduction, an internal and external rotational torque (1.1 Nm) were applied to the humerus, and the resulting joint kinematics were recorded. Anterior forces were applied to the humerus to anteriorly dislocate the shoulder and the resulting kinematics were recorded during each dislocation. Following each dislocation, the same rotational torque was applied to the humerus, and the resulting joint kinematics were also recorded. A repeated-measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to compare the kinematics following each dislocation., Results: During the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th dislocations, the humerus significantly translated superiorly compared with the shoulder during the 1st dislocation (p < 0.05). Following the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 10th dislocations, the humeral head significantly translated superiorly compared with the shoulder following the 1st dislocation in the position of 60 degrees of abduction in response to external rotation torque (p < 0.05)., Conclusion: Multiple anterior shoulder dislocations lead to abnormal translational kinematics and result in increased superior translation of the humerus. This may contribute to pathologic superior extension of capsulolabral injuries. Superior translation of the humerus with overhead motion in the setting of recurrent instability may also place the shoulder at risk for extension of the capsulolabral injuries., (© 2022. Concomitant anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and anterolateral ligament (ALL) reconstruction has been reported as an effective technique for providing rotational control of the knee. However, the intraoperative risk of collision with an ACL tunnel during the drilling for the femoral ALL tunnel has been described. The purpose of this study was to investigate the various femoral drilling procedures to avoid tunnel collisions during combined double-bundle ACL and ALL reconstruction. Nine cadaveric knees were used in this study. ACL drilling was performed through the anteromedial portal to footprints of the posterolateral bundle at 120° (PL120) and 135° (PL135) knee flexion and the anteromedial bundle at 120° (AM120) and 135° (AM135) knee flexion. ALL drilling was performed at 0° (Cor0-ALL) and 30° (Cor30-ALL) coronal angles using a Kirschner wire (K-wire). The distance between the ALL footprint and ACL K-wire outlets, axial angles of ALL K-wires colliding with ACL K-wires, and distances from the ALL footprint to the collision point were measured. From these values, the safe zone, defined as the range of axial angles in which no collisions or penetrations occurred, was identified by simulation of tunnels utilized for reconstruction grafts in each drilling procedure. The point-to-point distance from the ALL footprint to the K-wire outlet was significantly greater in the AM120 than the AM135 (13.5 ± 3.1, 10.8 ± 3.2 mm; p  = 0.048) and in the PL135 than the PL120 (18.3 ± 5.5, 16.1 ± 6.5 mm; p  = 0.005) conditions, respectively. During an ACL drilling combination of PL135/AM120, a safe zone of > 45° in Cor30-ALL was identified. With a narrow safe zone during the PL135/AM120 combination only, the risk of femoral tunnel collisions in combined double-bundle ACL and ALL reconstruction is high. AM drilling at 120° and PL drilling at > 135° knee flexion, combined with ALL drilling at 30° coronal angle and > 45° axial angle, may reduce this risk., Competing Interests: None declared., (Thieme.
