Vector control of an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) without the magnetic pole position sensor has been studied. Especially, the extended electromotive force (EMF) based method is one of the famous systems. We proposed a simple method which estimates the magnetic pole position using the output voltage of the d-axis PI current controller without using disturbance observer. In this paper, we develop the early proposed method by introducing a new non-interference control. By the results of simulation and experiment, we have improved the magnetic pole position error in the rotor speed ramp responses.
