4. Compiling Arguments in an Argumentation Framework into Three-valued Logical Expressions

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new method for computing general allocators directly from completeness conditions. A general allocator is an abstraction of all complete labelings for an argumentation framework. Any complete labeling is obtained from a general allocator by assigning logical constants to variables. We proved the existence of the general allocators in our previous work. However, the construction requires us to enumerate all complete labelings for the framework, which makes the computation prohibitively slow. The method proposed in this paper enables us to compute general allocators without enumerating complete labelings. It also provides the solutions of local allocation that yield semantics for subsets of the framework. We demonstrate two applications of general allocators, stability, and a new concept for frameworks, termed arity. Moreover, the method, including local allocation, is applicable to broad extensions of frameworks, such as argumentation frameworks with set-attacks, bipolar argumentation frameworks, and abstract dialectical frameworks.

Abstract

グローバル化と国内の超高齢化・少子化が同時進行し、日本社会の様々な領域において 人材不足と人材のグローバル化が進みつつある現在、教育現場においても、異文化や多文 化共生社会への適応が意識的に求められる時代である。本稿は留学生にとって異文化であ る日本語・日本文化・日本社会への理解を育む国際ゼミにおいて、異文化理解の理念に基 づき、如何に他文化の理解と同時に自文化を相対化し、相互の理解に結びつける契機とす ることができるか、また、日本人学生との共修活動が日本人学生および留学生双方の異文 化理解力（intercultural competence）に影響を及ぼすかを検証するものである。 This paper indicates the effects of cross-cultural communication education on both international students and Japanese students, who will be living in a society with increasing opportunities for contact with people with diverse cultures. In the formation of such a society, cross- and intercultural-understanding is considered essential to help understand and respect each other. Through some cross-cultural activities in an international class collaborated with some Japanese students, we discuss how effectively they are stimulated to understand other cultures and also understand their own culture and values better.

Research has been conducted on the salts. Results indicate that the charge-transfer ethylenedithiotetrathiafulvalenoquinone-1,3-dithiolemethide charge-transfer salts containing FeBr (sub)4 (super)- and GaBr (sub)4 (super)- counteranions have been obtained as needle crystals with almost identical structures.

Abstract

The synthesis of heteroquaterphenoquinones involves a stepwise cross-coupling reaction or a more convenient method via the one-pot oxidative homocoupling reaction of heterocycle-substituted phenols. The quinones are stable in solid state and in solution. A reversible one-stage, two-electron oxidation reduction occurs up to dianions while a two-stage, one-electron oxidation reaction proceeds up to dications. The reduction and oxidation potentials depend on the aromaticity and ionization potentials of the incorporated heterocycles. Spectral analysis of the quinones is presented.

Abstract

Pentaammineruthenium(II) and -ruthenium(III) groups connected by dipyridylthiophene, dipyridylfuran and dipyridylpolyenes exhibited intervalence electron transfer. Spectral deconvolution provide exact spectra of the mixed-valence form and the intervalence band profiles. An improved resolution of the phenomenon results from dipyridylthiophene and -furan.

50. Towards a Qualitative Reasoning on Shape Change and Object Division

Abstract

We propose a qualitative representation for handling shape change and object division. We model the shape of a smooth curve in a two-dimensional plane together with its temporal change, using curvature extrema. The representation is based on Process-Grammar, which gives a causal account for each shape change. We introduce several rewriting rules to handle object division, that consist of making a tangent point, reconstruction, and separation. On the treatment of the division process, the expression can clarify the relative locations of multiple objects. We show formalization and application to represent a sequence of shape changes frequently observed in an organogenesis process.
