Distance higher education in Japan has developed since the early 1950s, functioning as an open system of higher learning. Owing to deregulation and structural reform in education, the number of universities offering distance learning programs has increased in recent years, and distance learning institutions have become more open and conducive to learning. However, the number of students enrolled in distance learning universities is decreasing. Meanwhile, demand for education at distance learning graduate schools remains high due to a greater focus on educational credentials and practice-oriented study. The low level of demand for distance higher education in Japan is likely a consequence of concerns about the quality of education provided, or, in other words, the result of low social valuation.

本研究では、教員個人が無料で利用でき、スマートフォンやタブレット端末といったスマートデバイスをリモコンとして使用するクラウド型クリッカーを導入した講義事例を報告し、特に運用上の課題について検証することを目的としている。学生への調査の結果、（1）クラウド型クリッカー「Clica」を大学の講義で使用することに関しては肯定的である、（2）個人所有のスマートフォンの使用には反対も少なくない、（3）個人所有のスマートフォンを使用する際の一番の懸念はバッテイリー（充電）に関すること、といった点が明らかとなった。

遠隔授業の実践にあたっては，対面での授業と比較して，より多くの点に配慮する必要がある。本研究では，異なる背景を持つ受講者間における遠隔授業に対する評価，ならびに，遠隔授業に対する評価の観点に注目し，望ましい遠隔授業の設計と展開の検討を行った。小学校と高校を対象とした実践を通して，遠隔授業の成立に求められる要素として以下の2点が示された。1)講師と受講者とのコミュニケーション品質の確保。2)リアルタイム性を重視した相互対話に基づく授業展開。なお，これらの知見は，遠隔地を対象としたサイエンス・コミュニケーションの実践においても，有効な視座となることが予想される。, Distance educations require more considerations than traditional classroom education. In this study, we analyzed how to design distance education. How learners evaluate of distance education? And, what factors affect evaluations within various learners? To investigate these issues, we conducted distance education classes for elementary school students and high school students. The results of investigation were as follows: First, the host must provide reliable means to communicate instructor and learners. Second, instructor should emphasize on realtime interaction. We expect that these results are useful for designing distance Science-Communication.

application/pdf, 論文(Article), 急速な高齢化が進む我が国では,社会保障制度の見直しにより,高齢者ケアの重点は施設中心から在宅へと移行してきている。施設と在宅の中間的施設である介護老人保健施設(以下,老健施設)は急激な増加を続け,理学療法士(Physical Therapist : 以下,PT)が活躍する場の一つとして注目される。そこで,総合ゼミへの参加を通して老健施設におけるPTの役割を調べた。その結果,(1)身体機能の把握(2)家屋状況の適応(3)他職種との連携(4)チームでの統一した目標設定とアプローチ(5)社会資源の活用の5項目が挙げられた。複合的なニーズをもつ対象者に対し,PTも幅広いアプローチが必要である。, Fast increase of the alders in Japan forces the society to review social security system and the care of senior citizens by shifting from care-house to at own home-care in majority. A role of physical therapists in welfare facilities for aged persons has been examined by participating a combined seminar and the results obtained from that as summarized as following five items, namely, evaluation of physical function of patients, adaptability to the home environment, corporation with specialists in related areas, establishment of the team's target and approach method and use of available social resources. For the older persons with complex needs, physical therapists must apply various and broader approach.
