Abstract Hamartoma is a benign lung tumor. Parenchymal hamartomas are usually asymptomatic, but endobronchial hamartoma can present with features of obstruction. Here, we present a case of a young man who presented with nonresolving pneumonia. His bronchoscopy showed an endobronchial hamartoma.

A mechanism was suggested for the electroanalytic function of triazolic ferrocene derivatives in the electrochemical detection of pesticides and drugs, with the emphasis on the behavior of triazole ring. The suggested mechanism was mathematically represented, by form of analysis (by means of linear stability theory and bifurcation analysis) and development of a mathematical model. La2O3/Co3O4 nanocomposite was synthesized and then used for the modification of screen-printed electrode (SPE) prior to the electrochemical determination of sertraline. A significant increment in peak current response was observed and peak potential also shifted towards less positive potentials showing the facilitated oxidation procedure at surface of modified SPE (La2O3/ /Co3O4/SPE). The quantitative determination of sertraline was carried out by using different pulse voltammetry and the anodic peak current was found to increase with increasing sertraline concentration in the linear range of 5.0400.0 μM with limit of detection as 1.0 μM. The prepared La2O3/Co3O4/SPE has been successfully used for detecting sertraline in sertraline tablet and urine samples with excellent recoveries.

In the present work, a rapid and sensitive detection of the amlodipine (AML) based on the modified screen printed carbon electrode (SPCE) is developed. At first, SPCE was modified with magnetic core shell manganese ferrite nanoparticles (MCSNP). Cyclic voltammetry (CV) was used to study the electrochemical behaviour of AML and its determination was conducted by applying differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The results were showed that, the modified SPCE in comparison with unmodified SPCE exhibited the enhanced electrocatalytic activity toward the oxidation of AML. A single irreversible oxidation peak was observed at a potentials of 600 and 725 mV (on the scale of Ag/AgCl electrode) on the modified SPCE and unmodified SPCE, respectively. Under the optimized conditions, the anodic peak current of AML recorded by DPV varies linearly with AML concentration in the range 0.5–400 μM with a detection limit of 0.1 μM. The modified SPCE was used for the quantitative analysis of AML in AML tablet and urine samples and the results indicated the feasibility of the developed method for AML analysis in routine detection.

A carbon paste electrode (CPE) was modified with N-(ferrocenylmethylidene) fluorene-2-amine and graphene/ZnO nanocomposite. The electrooxidation of captopril (CAP) at the surface of the modified electrode was studied using electrochemical approaches. The electrochemical study of the modified electrode, as well as its efficiency for the electrocatalytic oxidation of captopril, is described. The electrode was used to study the electrocatalytic oxidation of captopril, by cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperometry (CHA) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) as diagnostic techniques. It has been found that the oxidation of captopril at the surface of modified electrode occurs at a potential of about 340 mV less positive than that of an unmodified CPE. DPV of captopril at the electrochemical sensor exhibited two linear dynamic ranges (0.1–100.0 and 100.0–800.0 μM) with a detection limit (3σ) of 0.05 μM.

A Cu/TiO2 nanocomposite modified glassy carbon electrode (Cu/ /TiO2/GCE) was fabricated to detect methyldopa by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and different pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods. Compared with bare GCE, the Cu/TiO2/GCE exhibited excellent electrochemical activity for the oxidation of methyldopa. Using DPV technique, the calibration curves for methyldopa were found linear in the concentration range of 0.5–800.0 μM and the detection limit (S/N = 3) was calculated to be 0.23 μM. Additionally, the prepared electrochemical sensor of Cu/TiO2/GCE demonstrated a practical feasibility in methyldopa tablets and in urine samples analysis.

In the current work, the MWCNTs/ZnO nanocomposite was successfully synthesized using simple method. Then, FE-SEM, XRD, and EDX techniques were applied for morphological and structural characterization. Afterward, a sensitive voltammetric sensor based on modification of a screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) using MWCNTs/ZnO nanocomposite was developed for the determination of doxorubicin in the presence of dacarbazine. To evaluate the electrochemical response of the MWCNTs/ZnO/SPCE towards doxorubicin, cyclic voltammetry (CV) was applied. The MWCNTs/ZnO nanocomposite showed a significant synergistic effect on the electrochemical response of the electrode for the redox reaction of doxorubicin. Also, the MWCNTs/ZnO/SPCE demonstrated an enhanced sensing platform for the quantification of doxorubicin, obtaining a detection limit (LOD) of 0.002 µM and a sensitivity of 0.0897 µA/µM, as determined by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) within a linear range from 0.007 to 150.0 µM. Also, the MWCNTs/ZnO nanocomposite-modified SPCE showed high electrochemical activities towards the oxidation of doxorubicin and dacarbazine with peak-potential separation of 345 mV, which is sufficient for doxorubicin determination in the presence of dacarbazine. Also, the MWCNTs/ZnO nanocomposite-modified SPCE presented reproducible and stable responses to determine doxorubicin. Finally, the developed platform demonstrated a successful performance for doxorubicin and dacarbazine determination in real samples, with recovery in the range of 97.1% to 104.0% and relative standard deviation (RSD) from 1.8% to 3.5%.

Background: According to the WHO's recommendation for developing countries, Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccination has been implemented in some countries as part of national vaccination programs at birth. Although it is generally considered safe, some complications may occur; including BCGitis (local) or BCGosis (systemic), ranging from mild like local abscesses to fatal impediments like osteomyelitis and disseminated BCG infection. This study aimed to determine the spectrum of inborn errors of immunity (IEI) in BCG-vaccinated neonates experiencing local or systemic complications., Methods: In this cross-sectional study, we investigated Iranian children referred to the Immunology, Asthma, and Allergy Research Institute (IAARI) between 2007-2023 for suspected immunodeficiency. Medical history was recorded, and primary screening tests for immunodeficiency were conducted for all cases. For suspected cases, more advanced immunologic investigations were performed to reach a definitive diagnosis. Furthermore, the study incorporated the documented genetic findings of the patients under investigation. All patients with inborn error of immunity who had a history of BCG vaccine complications within the first year of vaccination were enrolled in the study., Results: We investigated 3,275 cases suspected of IEI, identifying197 patients with both IEI and BCG vaccine complications. Among these, 127 (64.5%) were male. Symptoms began at or before 3 months of age in 64.8% of the cases, and parental consanguinity was reported in 79.2%. Genetic diagnoses were confirmed in 108 patients. Of the 197 patients, 108 (54.8%) had BCGitis, while 89 (45.2%) experienced systemic complications (BCGosis). A family history of IEI, BCG-related complications, and unexplained deaths were observed in 20.3%, 12.2%, and 29.9% of cases, respectively. Furthermore, 46.2% had at least one of these three risk factors in their history., Conclusions: Early BCG vaccine complications may indicate an underlying immunodeficiency, particularly when there is a positive family history of BCG complications, immunodeficiency, or unexplained deaths. Water pollution with phenolic compounds is a serious environmental issue that can pose a major threat to the water sources. This pollution can come from various agricultural and industrial activities. Phenolic compounds can have detrimental effects on both human health and the environment. Therefore, it is essential to develop and improve analytical methods for determination of these compounds in the water samples. In this work, the aim was to design and develop an electrochemical sensing platform for the determination of 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP) in water samples. In this regard, a nanocomposite consisting of CoWO 4 nanoparticles (NPs) anchored on reduced graphene oxide nanosheets (rGO NSs) was prepared through a facile hydrothermal method. The formation of the CoWO 4 /rGO nanocomposite was confirmed via different characterization techniques. Then, the prepared CoWO 4 /rGO nanocomposite was used to modify the surface of a screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) for enhanced determination of 2,4-DCP. The good electrochemical response of the modified SPCE towards the oxidation of 2,4-DCP was observed by using cyclic voltammetry (CV) due to the good properties of CoWO 4 NPs and rGO NSs along with their synergistic effects. Under optimized conditions, the CoWO 4 /rGO/SPCE sensor demonstrated a broad linear detection range (0.001 to 100.0 µM) and low limit of detection (LOD) (0.0007 µM) for 2,4-DCP determination. Also, the sensitivity of CoWO 4 /rGO/SPCE for detecting 2,4-DCP was 0.3315 µA/µM. In addition, the good recoveries for determining spiked 2,4-DCP in the water samples at the surface of CoWO 4 /rGO/SPCE showed its potential for determination of this compound in real samples.

Background: Primary immunodeficiency diseases (inborn errors of immunity) with partial albinism are a group of autosomal recessive syndromes including Chediak Higashi Syndrome (CHS), Griscelli Syndrome type 2 (GS2), Hermansky-Pudlak Syndromes type 2 and 10 (HPS2, HPS10), Vici syndrome and P14/LAMTOR2 deficiency., Methods: Twenty-five patients including 10 CHS, 10 GS2, and 5 HPS2 were evaluated in this study within the last 10 years. Five cases with oculocutaneous albinism (OCA) and 5 healthy subjects without albinism were used as two control groups. Genetic analyses were performed by whole exome or panel sequencing or targeted Sanger sequencing. Subsequently, leukocyte granules in peripheral blood smear and hair shaft were examined as screening tests., Results: Giant granules were only presented in the leukocytes cytoplasm of 10/10 CHS patients. The uneven cluster of pigments and giant melanin granules in hair samples were observed in 10/10 GS2 and 10/10 CHS patients, respectively. In both 5/5 OCA and 5/5 HPS2 patients, there were regular pigments in the middle of hair shafts. Genetic analyses were performed for all patients, revealing 7 novel variants in LYST gene for CHS patients and 4 novel variants in AP3B1 for HPS2 patients., Conclusion: Receiving hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in a timely manner is crucial in CHS and GS2 patients; therefore, screening tests may provide a vital clue for early diagnosis in these patients. The Zika virus (ZIKV) is classified within the Flavivirus genus of the Flaviviridae family and is categorized as an arbovirus. The virus was initially identified in a rhesus monkey in Uganda in 1947 and later in a human in Nigeria in 1952. Since 2007, the prevalence of the virus has been on the rise, culminating in a major outbreak in the United States (US) in 2015. During this outbreak, the adult population was severely impacted, experiencing a range of symptoms, including organ failure, microcephaly, fetal death, and Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). Additionally, skin rash, limb swelling, fever, headache, and heightened sensitivity are found in most adults with Zika syndrome. Although the virus can be transmitted through blood, vertical transmission from mother to child, and sexual contact, the primary way of transmission of the virus is through the Aedes mosquito. Cells such as neurons, macrophages, peripheral dendritic cells, and placental cells are among the target cells that the virus can infect. The TAM AXL receptor plays a crucial role in infection. After the virus enters the body through the bloodstream, it spreads in the body with a latent period of 3 to 12 days. Currently, there is no specific treatment or publicly available vaccine for the ZIKV. Limited laboratory testing has been conducted, and existing drugs originally designed for other pathogens have been repurposed for treatment. Given the Aedes mosquito's role as a vector and the wide geographical impact of the virus, this study aims to comprehensively investigate Zika's pathogenesis and clinical symptoms based on existing knowledge and research. Background and Purpose: Methotrexate (MTX) is a widely used anti-cancer drug, but its overuse can lead to significant side effects. Therefore, it is very vital to design simple and sensitive analytical methods for its determination., Experimental Approach: In this work, an electrochemical sensor was prepared based on an ionic liquid (IL)/Ni-Co layered double hydroxide nanosheets (Ni-Co-LDH)-modified carbon paste electrode IL/Ni-Co-LDH/CPE. Cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry, and chronoamperometry methods were applied to evaluate the performance of the designed sensor for MTX determination., Key Results: The IL/Ni-Co-LDH/CPE sensor exhibits a linear relationship between the peak current of the differential pulse voltammetry and MTX concentrations in the linear dynamic range of 0.02 to 140.0 μM, with a detection limit of 0.006 μM. Background: Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are currently under investigation as a potential therapeutic option for COVID-19. Clinical trials are examining their efficacy in lowering mortality rates and the requirement for mechanical ventilation (MV). It is necessary to conduct a thorough examination of current randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in order to provide more definitive evidence on their effectiveness for COVID-19 patients. This meta -analysis aims to analyze RCT results on the impact of three mAbs (Anakinra, Sarilumab, Tocilizumab) on COVID-19 patient outcomes., Method: The meta -analysis was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA guidelines. Eligible RCTs were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of three mAbs in treating patients with COVID-19. These trials were identified by searching various databases up to April 1, 2024. In total, this meta -analysis incorporated 19 trials with a total of 8097 patients. Pooled relative risk and studies' heterogeneity were assessed by statistical analysis, which involved the use of fixed effects models and subgroup analysis., Result: The administration of mAbs (Tocilizumab, Sarilumab, and Anakinra) showed various results in the management of COVID-19 patients. While the overall pooled data did not reveal a significant reduction in the need for MV, the study found that the use of mAbs was associated with a decreased risk of clinical worsening (pooled relative risk: 0.75, 95 % CI [0.59, 0.94], p = 0.01) and an increased probability of discharging COVID-19 patients by day 28 or 29 (pooled relative risk: 1.17, 95 % CI [1.10, 1.26]). Notably, the subgroup analysis revealed that Tocilizumab had a significant effect in reducing the risk of clinical worsening compared to Sarilumab. Additionally, the analysis of mortality outcomes indicated that the administration of mAbs had the potential to decrease the overall risk of mortality over time (pooled RR: 0.90, 95 % CI [0.83, 0.97], p = 0.01)., Conclusion: In summary, our meta -analysis suggests that mAbs, particularly Tocilizumab, may play a valuable role in managing COVID-19 by reducing the risk of clinical worsening, improving hospital discharge rates, and decreasing mortality., Competing Interests: The authors declare that they have no known competing financial interests or personal relationships that could have appeared to influence the work reported in this paper., (© 2024 The Authors. Immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS) is a potentially life-threatening phenomenon associated with the initiation of antiretroviral therapy in patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome due to a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. It is thought to be an exaggerated inflammatory response to an existing pathogen or even its antigen. We present a case of IRIS due to a non-tuberculous mycobacteria infection in a young patient with HIV infection who was recently started on therapy. In this work, UiO-66-NH 2 /GO nanocomposite was prepared using a simple solvothermal technique, and its structure and morphology were characterized using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). An enhanced electrochemical sensor for the detection of epirubicin (EP) was proposed, which utilized a UiO-66-NH 2 /GO nanocomposite-modified screen-printed graphite electrode (UiO-66-NH 2 /GO/SPGE). The prepared UiO-66-NH 2 /GO nanocomposite improved the electrochemical performance of the SPGE towards the redox reaction of EP. Under optimized experimental conditions, this sensor demonstrates a remarkable limit of detection (LOD) of 0.003 µM and a linear dynamic range from 0.008 to 200.0 µM, providing a highly capable platform for sensing EP. Furthermore, the simultaneous electro-catalytic oxidation of EP and topotecan (TP) was investigated at the UiO-66-NH 2 /GO/SPGE surface utilizing differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). DPV measurements revealed the presence of two distinct oxidation peaks of EP and TP, with a peak potential separation of 200 mV. Finally, the UiO-66-NH 2 /GO/SPGE sensor was successfully utilized for the quantitative analysis of EP and TP in pharmaceutical injection, yielding highly satisfactory results.

Based on the modification of carbon paste electrode with NiCo 2 O 4 nanoplates and 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate, a new electrochemical sensing platform for the sensing of favipiravir (a drug with potential therapeutic efficacy in treating COVID-19 patients) in the presence of acetaminophen was prepared. For determining the electrochemical behavior of favipiravir, cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry, and chronoamperometry have been utilized. When compared to the unmodified carbon paste electrode, the results of the cyclic voltammetry showed that the proposed NiCo 2 O 4 nanoplates/1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate/carbon paste electrode had excellent catalytic activity for the oxidation of the favipiravir in phosphate buffer solution (pH = 7.0). This was due to the synergistic influence of 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (ionic liquid) and NiCo 2 O 4 nanoplates. In the optimized conditions of favipiravir measurement, NiCo 2 O 4 nanoplates/1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate/carbon paste electrode had several benefits, such as a wide dynamic linear between 0.004 and 115.0 µM, a high sensitivity of 0.1672 µA/µM, and a small limit of detection of 1.0 nM. Furthermore, the NiCo 2 O 4 nanoplates/1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate/carbon paste electrode sensor presented a good capability to investigate the favipiravir and acetaminophen levels in real samples with satisfactory recoveries.

Food colorants are important in food selection because they improve the gastronomic appeal of foods by improving their aesthetic appeal. However, after prolonged use, many colorants turn toxic and cause medical problems. A synthetic azo-class dye called carmoisine gives meals a red color. Therefore, the carmoisine determination in food samples is of great importance from the human health control. The current work was developed to synthesis ZnO hollow quasi-spheres (ZnO HQSs) to prepare a new electrochemical carmoisine sensor that is sensitive. Field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) have been used to analyze the properties of prepared ZnO HQSs. A screen-printed graphite electrode (SPGE) surface was modified with ZnO HQSs to prepare the ZnO HQSs-SPGE sensor. For carmoisine detection, the ZnO HQSs-SPGE demonstrated an appropriate response and notable electrocatalytic activities. The carmoisine electro-oxidation signal was significantly stronger on the ZnO HQSs-SPGE surface compared to the bare SPGE. Cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), chronoamperometry (CHA), and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) have been utilized to investigate the suggested protocol. The DPV results revealed an extensive linear association between variable carmoisine concentrations and peak current that ranged from 0.08 to 190.0 µM, with a limit of detection (LOD) as narrow as 0.02 µM. The ZnO HQSs-SPGE's ability to detect carmoisine in real samples proved the sensor's practical application.

We have implemented quantum modeling mainly based on Bohmian mechanics to study time series that contain strong coupling between their events. Compared to time series with normal densities, such time series are associated with rare events. Hence, employing Gaussian statistics drastically underestimates the occurrence of their rare events. The central objective of this study was to investigate the effects of rare events in the probability densities of time series from the point of view of quantum measurements. For this purpose, we first model the non-Gaussian behavior of time series using the multifractal random walk (MRW) approach. Then, we examine the role of the key parameter of MRW, λ, which controls the degree of non-Gaussianity, in quantum potentials derived for time series. Our Bohmian quantum analysis shows that the derived potential takes some negative values in high frequencies (its mean values), then substantially increases, and the value drops again for rare events. Thus, rare events can generate a potential barrier in the high-frequency region of the quantum potential, and the effect of such a barrier becomes prominent when the system transverses it. Finally, as an example of applying the quantum potential beyond the microscopic world, we compute quantum potentials for the S&P financial market time series to verify the presence of rare events in the non-Gaussian densities and demonstrate deviation from the Gaussian case.

Griscelli syndrome type 2 (GS2) is an autosomal recessive immunodeficiency characterized by hair hypopigmentation, recurrent fever, hepatosplenomegaly and pancytopenia. This study aims to find new genetic changes and clinical features in 18 children with GS2 caused by the RAB27A gene defect. In all, 18 Iranian children with GS2 who presented with silver grey hair and frequent pyogenic infection were included in this study. After recording demographic and clinical data, PCR sequencing of the RAB27A gene was performed for all exons and exon-intron boundaries. Two patients in this study were subjected to whole-exome sequencing followed by Sanger sequencing. Light microscopy study of hair showed large irregular clumps of pigment with the absence of giant granules on the blood smear. Mutation analysis of the RAB27A gene identified two novel missense mutations as homozygous in a patient, one in exon 2, c.140G>C and another in exon 4, c.328G>T. In addition, for 17 other patients, 6 reported mutations were obtained including c.514_518delCAAGC, c.150_151delAGinsC, c.400_401delAA, c.340delA, c.428T>C and c.221A>G. The mutation c.514_518delCAAGC was the most frequent and found in 10 patients; this mutation may be considered a hotspot in Iran. Early diagnosis and treatment of RAB27A deficiency can contribute to better disease outcomes. Purpose: Key natural polymers, known as hydrogels, are an important group of materials in design of tissue-engineered constructs that can provide suitable habitat for cell attachment and proliferation. However, in comparison to tissues within the body, these hydrogels display poor mechanical properties. Such properties cause challenges in 3D printing of hydrogel scaffolds as well as their surgical handling after fabrication. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to critically review the 3D printing processes of hydrogels and their characteristics for tissue engineering application., Methods: A search of Google Scholar and PubMed has been performed from 2003 to February 2022 using a combination of keywords. A review of the types of 3D printing is presented. Additionally, different types of hydrogels and nano-biocomposite materials for 3D printing application are critically reviewed. The rheological properties and crosslinking mechanisms for the hydrogels are assessed., Results: Extrusion-based 3D printing is the most common practice for constructing hydrogel-based scaffolds, and it allows for the use of varying types of polymers to enhance the properties and printability of the hydrogel-based scaffolds. Rheology has been found to be exceedingly important in the 3D printing process; however, shear-thinning and thixotropic characteristics should also be present in the hydrogel. Despite these features of extrusion-based 3D printing, there are limitations to its printing resolution and scale., Conclusion: Combining natural and synthetic polymers and a variety of nanomaterials, such as metal, metal oxide, non-metal, and polymeric, can enhance the properties of hydrogel and provide additional functionality to their 3D-printed constructs.

Chronic granulomatous disease (CGD) is a rare primary immunodeficiency disorder more common in autosomal recessive (AR) than X-linked in Iran. This study aimed to assess whether having a child with AR-CGD would increase the likelihood of the next child being affected by CGD. Ninety-one families with at least one child affected by AR-CGD entered this study. Out of the 270 children, 128 were affected by AR-CGD. We used a cross tab for the odds ratio (OR) calculation, in which exposure to a previously affected child and the next child's status were evaluated. This study illustrated that the chances of having another child afflicted with AR-CGD are significantly increased if the previous child had AR-CGD (OR=2.77, 95% CI=1.35-5.69).Althoug h AR disorders affect 25% of each pregnancy, we showed that the chance that the next child would be affected by CGD, given that the previous child was affected, is 2.77 times greater than in families with a normal child. It is recommended to warn families with one or more affected children to evaluate the risk of CGD in their subsequent pregnancies with prenatal diagnosis.

The current attempt was made to detect the amino acid homocysteine (HMC) using an electrochemical aptasensor. A high-specificity HMC aptamer was used to fabricate an Au nanostructured/carbon paste electrode (Au-NS/CPE). HMC at high blood concentration (hyperhomocysteinemia) can be associated with endothelial cell damage leading to blood vessel inflammation, thereby possibly resulting in atherogenesis leading to ischemic damage. Our proposed protocol was to selectively immobilize the aptamer on the gate electrode with a high affinity to the HMC. The absence of a clear alteration in the current due to common interferants (methionine (Met) and cysteine (Cys)) indicated the high specificity of the sensor. The aptasensor was successful in sensing HMC ranging between 0.1 and 30 μM, with a narrow limit of detection (LOD) as low as 0.03 μM.

An ultrasensitive and selective voltammetric sensor with an ultratrace-level detection limit is introduced for ketoconazole (KTC) determination in real samples using a modified carbon paste electrode with a sheaf-like Ce-BTC MOF nanostructure and ionic liquid. The as-synthesized nanostructure was characterized by several techniques, including energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The electrocatalytic performance of the developed electrode was observed by cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), and chronoamperometry. The limit of detection (LOD) of the developed sensor for KTC is 0.04 μM, and the response was found to be in the dynamic concentration range of 0.1-110.0 μM in a phosphate buffer solution. The proposed electrode exhibits acceptable electrocatalytic activity for KTC oxidation with a high sensitivity of 0.1342 μA·μM -1 . The ability of the fabricated sensor to monitor KTC in real aqueous samples is demonstrated using standard addition data.

The present attempt developed a simple sensing system based on the modification of screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) with MoSe 2 /reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanocomposite (MoSe 2 -rGO/SPCE) to voltammetrically co-detect amitriptyline and carbamazepine. Different techniques such as field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) were employed to characterize MoSe 2 -rGO nanocomposite morphology and structure. Moreover, chronoamperometry, differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) were utilized to explore the electrochemical oxidation of amitriptyline. Data revealed a great current sensitivity for the MoSe 2 -rGO/SPCE towards amitriptyline. The peak currents of amitriptyline oxidation on the MoSe 2 -rGO/SPCE had linear dynamic range (0.02-380.0 μM) and a narrow limit of detection (0.007 μM).
