Unfortunately, the scientific research concerned with the micro-scale mathematical models in plasma has very few numbers compared with the other mathematical models. However, the microscopic fields are related to all modern technology like nano and micro technology, quantum computers, and many other essential applications. This study focuses on the mathematical analysis of a micro-scale Boltzmann-Maxwell partial differential equations (PDE) system for a gaseous plasma flow influenced by a non-linear, non-uniform external electric field, specifically in the context of a novel irreversibility micro-scale analysis of the kinetic theory of plasma. We did that using the analytical solution of the PDE system. The governing equations were developed using the moment and traveling-wave techniques in a new irreversible non-equilibrium thermodynamics (INT) methodology. To our knowledge, this was applied for the first time. We are investigating the distinct behavior of the electron velocity distribution functions (VDF) and the non-equilibrium velocity functions, representing an essential INT novel study. As a result, critical micro-scale INT variables would employ the generated non-equilibrium VDF to get the equilibrium time for each species. We aim to show how the impacts of various thermodynamic forces on internal energy change (IEC) are maintained. The research generates visual representations of physical variables in 3D. Extensive physics, electric manufacturing, and nano-electro-mechanical systems applications in various manufacturing contexts attest to the research’s standing. We aim to calculate the percentages between the numerous contributions of IEC in diamagnetic and paramagnetic plasma based on the total derivatives of the extensive parameters. We apply the results to a typical model of laboratory helium plasma because of the helium’s various excellent applications.

In this paper, we analyze and provide innovative soliton solutions for a (2+1)-dimensional generalized Korteweg-de Vries (gKdV) problem. We obtain phase shifts and dispersion relations by using the generalized Arnous technique and the Riccati equation approach, thus allowing different soliton solutions to be developed. Several precise solutions with special structural properties, including kink and solitary soliton solutions, are included in our study. This detailed examination demonstrates the complex behavior of the model and its capability to explain a large scale of nonlinear wave occurrences in many physical settings. Thus, in scientific domains such as fluid mechanics, plasma physics, and wave propagation in media ranging from ocean surfaces to optical fibers, our results are crucial to comprehend the principles behind the production and propagation of many complicated phenomena. Finally, we provide 2D and 3D graphs for various solutions that have been obtained using Maple.

Introduction:: Fractional approaches have emerged as powerful tools for modeling a wide range of phenomena in engineering and science. This study focuses on a chaotic behavior for numerical method and stability analysis to investigate the nonlinear fractional-order autonomous systems using fractional derivative operators, specifically the Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivative in the Caputo sense. Objective:: The primary objective of this work is to analyze the Ulam–Hyers stability of the nonlinear fractional-order autonomous systems involving fractional derivatives. To achieve this, we develop numerical schemes based on fractional calculus principles and employ Lagrange interpolation polynomials to simulate the chaotic behavior of the proposed problem. Methods:: We establish to apply Krasnoselskii’s fixed-point approach to examine the existence of at least one solution and investigate the Ulam–Hyers stability results for the given problem. We obtain an approximate numerical solution using a Lagrange interpolation polynomial-based numerical scheme. Results:: We examine the graphical behavior of the results obtained and show that both numerical methods are very efficient and provide precise and outstanding results to determine approximate numerical solutions of fractional differential equations. Conclusion:: The graphical analysis of fractional order and parameter values reveals new insights and interesting phenomena related to chaotic systems. The findings emphasize the significant role of fractional approaches in studying nonlinear systems of scientific and physical importance. Additionally, the proposed numerical scheme is shown to be efficient and reliable for solving nonlinear fractional models.

This paper explains and applies a numerical technique utilizing the cubic B-spline functions and the mean value theorem (MVT) to solve a general time fractional partial differential equation (FPDE). The MVT for integrals enables us to approximate the time fractional derivatives in an appropriate simple form. We use the cubic B-spline functions to construct the numerical solution and its spatial derivatives. The great advantage of our technique is that it enables us to approximate solutions of many time FPDEs for several choices of F(x, t, u, ux, uxx). Two numerical examples have been included to emphasize the accuracy and efficiency of the method. It is demonstrated that the numerical method is unconditionally stable by employing the Von Neumann method (VNM).

Nine Magnetotelluric stations and 198 Land-Magnetic points were conducted within reclamation regions at the western and southwestern areas of the New Sphinx City, Egypt. The main target is to explore the deep groundwater aquifer (Nubian Aquifer), and its reserves. This was interpreted with integrated data available from thirteen water wells within the studied area. Their depths range from 160 to 773 m. We noticed that the wells don’t reach the Nubian Aquifer and the groundwater in the area comes from the Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous, the Upper Cretaceous-Eocene Limestone, and the Oligo-Miocene aquifers, which contain brackish/saline water. The groundwater table ranges between 128-170 m from the topographic-controlled ground surface. Structurally, the area is dissected by two major thrust faults trending in the NE-SW direction, while there is one major normal fault trending in the NW-SE direction. The results showed that the basement relief ranges between -2250 to -4650 m below mean sea level. The Nubian Aquifer extends through the central region within the area according to the results of Nine Magnetotelluric data. It is bounded by the two inverted faults within the Kattaniya inverted basin which is gradually thinning in the southward direction to disappear completely at the Gindi basin. It is partitioned into two units; the upper one was found at an average depth range between -1760 to -2245 m with an average thickness of about 485 m, while the lower unit depth ranges between -2800 to -3825 m with an average thickness of about 1025 m.

This study examines a Caputo-type fractional-order food chain model, considering the Holling type II functional response with the vigilance effect. The model explores the interaction dynamics of the food chain model, which consists of prey, middle predators, and top predators. Additionally, habitat complexity is integrated into the model, which is assumed to reduce predation rates by lowering the encounter rates between predators and prey. All possible feasible equilibrium points are determined and the stability of our proposed model is explored near the equilibrium points. To support the analytical findings, numerical simulation results are given in terms of time series, phase portraits, and bifurcation diagrams. It is discovered that the proposed model can become more stable under a fractional-order derivative. Moreover, the interplay between the vigilance effect and habitat complexity is shown to influence the existence of stable and periodic dynamics.

Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) is a human coronavirus subtype that poses a significant public health concern due to its ability to spread between individuals. This research aims to develop a fractional-order mathematical model to investigate the MERS pandemic and to subsequently develop two numerical methods to solve this model numerically to evaluate and comprehend the analysis results. The fixed-point theorem has been used to demonstrate the existence and uniqueness of the solution to the suggested model. We approximate the solutions of the proposed model using two numerical methods: the mean value theorem and the implicit trapezoidal method. The stability of these numerical methods is studied using various results and primary lemmas. Finally, we compare the results of our methods to demonstrate their efficiency and conduct a numerical simulation of the obtained results. A comparative study based on real data from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is provided. The study’s conclusions demonstrate the computational efficiency of our approaches in studying nonlinear fractional differential equations that arise in daily life problems.

Olive mill wastewater (OMW) poses a significant environmental challenge and health concern in olive-producing countries, including Jordan. Surfactant micelles are frequently employed as solubilizing agents to enhance the water solubility of chemical compounds. This study aims to leverage the sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) micelles in a multi-step process to detoxify OMW for agricultural and industrial uses and reduce its impact. The OMW was treated in multiple steps: screening, coagulation with different chemicals, and distillation with different surfactants. The treatment steps were monitored using LC–MS, GC–MS, ICP–MS, chemical oxygen demand contents, and total phenolic compounds. The detoxification of OMW was evaluated using standard germination assays, MTT assays using tissue culture, and toxicity assays using fluorescence bacteria. Following the treatment, the seed growth rate improved significantly from 0% to 100%. The GC–MS revealed a substantial decrease in pollutants. The concentration of polyphenols was reduced to 2.5%, while the COD level decreased to 35%. The toxicity in bacteria was significantly reduced in a time-dependent manner, and the toxicity in human cells decreased by 95%. Additionally, between 50% and 95% of metals in OMW were removed. The multi-step SDS-based approach successfully detoxified the OMW and enhanced water quality, which would pave the road for its direct application in industry and agriculture.

Abstract The southern Meleiha concession, situated within the development encouragement areas of the Agiba Petroleum Company between Matrouh Basin and Shushan basin, spans approximately 700 km2. This study examined late Cretaceous strata to improve trap identification in the Bahariya, Alamein Dolomite, and Alam El Bueib Members. This required a thorough study of 33 seismic lines and five well log records. Our investigations revealed the presence of hydrocarbons in the deep, mid, and shallow target zones, underscoring the significant potential of the Khatatba-Ras Qattara and Bahariya layers. The net pay thicknesses observed ranged from 12 to 43 feet, while effective porosity values fluctuated between 10 and 18%. Water saturation varied from 10 to 98%, while hydrocarbon saturation varied from 48 to 90%. Seismic interpretation revealed abundant normal faults in the study area, and our maps showed structural closures, including three-way and four-way dip closures, influenced by these faults. The shallowness of the Bahariya layer, coupled with Shally Sand facies intercalations in the upper target, makes it particularly susceptible to fault leakage, necessitating careful consideration when selecting drilling locations. Notably, the western half of our investigation area exhibited more Alam El Bueib Member net pay zones compared to the eastern and south-eastern regions. The geological structure of the deep-target Khatatba-Ras Qattara is of particular interest, revealing a total of 37 potential leads across all levels. These leads encompass destinations like Bahariya, Alam El-Bueib, and Khatatba formations, some of which may have dual targets, while others may focus on a single objective.

Abstract This work responds to what was reported in various audio-visual media channels and to queries and explanations from individuals and local residents on the causes of gaseous and thermal emissions from the Earth near the vicinity of the village of Al-Hindaw in Dakhla city, New Valley Governorate, Egypt. At the location of the fume exit area, magnetic, seismic, and electromagnetic geophysical investigations were carried out to identify the factor(s) responsible for the event in question. Rock samples were collected and studied geochemically and radiographically to assess their chemical compositions, as well as the quantity of organic chemicals that may have contributed to the burning and temperature increase. In light of the results of the geochemical and geophysical research, it is believed that the self-ignitions are the result of near-surface reactions and oxidation instead of volcanic activity, such as the presence of magma or other comparable phenomena.

A bivariate extension of a flexible univariate family is proposed. The new family is called bivariate q-extended Weibull Morgenstern family of distributions which can be constructed based on the Farlie-Gumbel-Morgenstern (FGM) copula technique. After introducing the new family, four sub-models are discussed in detail from the theoretical and numerical coefficient of correlation point of view with pointing to the effect of the $ q $ parameter.

This research envisages a system composed of three subsystems connected in series. Each subsystem comprises three units connected in parallel. For the system to function, at least one unit per subsystem must remain operational. Unit failure is governed by an exponential distribution, while unit repair is governed by either a general distribution or a Gumbel–Hougaard family copula distribution. The primary goal of this research is to compare the overall performance of our system under these two different regimes for performing repairs. Laplace transforms and supplementary variable methods are employed in solving the system. Our metrics for evaluating system performance are the availability, reliability, mean time to failure, and cost. The second goal of this research is to showcase a strategy for reduction that enhances the overall efficiency and availability of our system.

The results in this paper are related to the existence of solutions to hybrid and non-hybrid discrete fractional three-point boundary value inclusion problems for the elastic beam equation. The development of our results is attributed to the use of the Caputo and difference operators. The existence results for the non-hybrid discrete fractional inclusion problem are established by using fixed point theory for multi-valued upper semi-continuous maps, and the case of the hybrid discrete fractional inclusion problem is treated by Dhage’s fixed point theory. Additionally, we present two examples to illustrate our main results.

In this work, some dynamical properties of Hill’s system are studied under the effect of continued fraction perturbation. The locations and kinds of equilibrium points are identified, and it is demonstrated that these points are saddle points and the general motion in their proximity is unstable. Furthermore, the curves of zero velocity and the regions of possible motion are defined at different Jacobian constant values. It is shown that the regions of forbidden motion increase with increasing Jacobian constant values and there is a noticeable decrease in the permissible regions of motion, leading to the possibility that the body takes a path far away from the primary body and escapes to take an unknown trajectory. Furthermore, the stability of perturbed motion is analyzed from the perspective of a linear sense, and it is observed that the linear motion is also unstable.

In this paper, we present a highly efficient analytical method that combines the Laplace transform and the residual power series approach to approximate solutions of nonlinear time-fractional partial differential equations (PDEs). First, we derive the analytical method for a general form of fractional partial differential equations. Then, we apply the proposed method to find approximate solutions to the time-fractional coupled Berger equations, the time-fractional coupled Korteweg–de Vries equations and time-fractional Whitham–Broer–Kaup equations. Secondly, we extend the proposed method to solve the two-dimensional time-fractional coupled Navier–Stokes equations. The proposed method is validated through various test problems, measuring quality and efficiency using error norms E2 and E∞, and compared to existing methods.

This paper addresses a hypothesis testing problem for comparing exponentially distributed data against a new class termed “New Better than Renewal Used in Moment Generating Function” (NBRUmgf). A measure of departure from exponentiality is constructed using the Laplace transform, followed by the development of a U-statistic-based test for the hypothesis. Additionally, a test based on the goodness of fit approach is examined as a special case. The asymptotic normality of the proposed statistic is introduced, and Pitman’s asymptotic efficiency of the two tests is computed and compared with other tests. Percentiles of the test statistics are computed for certain sample sizes in the case of complete data, and the powers of the tests are computed for popular reliability distributions. Finally, practical applications of the proposed tests are demonstrated in multiple cases.

In this paper, the existence of a weak positive solution for non-local magnetic fractional systems is studied in the fractional magnetic Sobolev space through a sub-supersolution method combined with iterative techniques.

This study aimed to examine the effects of a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) program on the physiological variables of young wrestlers. The significance of this study lies in its potential to identify effective training strategies to enhance the physiological capabilities of wrestlers, which are crucial for optimal performance. Despite the potential benefits of HIIT, research on its effects on young wrestlers is limited. The study utilized a pre- and post-test experimental design involving 14 young wrestlers from the Zakho Sports Club who were divided into control and experimental groups, each comprising seven wrestlers. The experimental group underwent a 9-week HIIT program, whereas the control group underwent a traditional training program. The physiological variables assessed included blood pressure, heart rate, lactic acid concentration, and anaerobic and aerobic powers. The results indicated significant improvements in the experimental group in terms of resting heart rate, heart rate after effort, lactic acid concentration, and aerobic power but not in blood pressure or anaerobic power. These findings confirm that HIIT can effectively enhance the physiological efficiency of young athletes and provide valuable methodological contributions to training programs for young wrestlers. This research demonstrates that HIIT effectively enhances athletes' physiological capacity and technical performance. This conclusion validates the idea that customized high-intensity and interval-based training can lead to substantial and advantageous physiological improvements in young wrestlers.

This paper derives and evaluates the reliability measures for a model pumping system composed of six subsystems linked in series: subsystems 1, 2, and 6, each comprising one unit, while subsystems 3 and 5 each contain three units operating in parallel. Subsystem 4 contains three units effectively operating in series. Unit failure rates are assumed to be constant, while repair rates are modeled by either a general distribution or, in the event of system failure, a Gumbel–Hougaard copula. The Laplace transform and additional supplementary variable approaches are employed to solve the system. The conventional measures of reliability are computed for a range of parameter values and as functions of time. In addition, tables are presented containing parameters for different cases, accompanied by a discussion of how they were chosen and their impact on the results.

Recently, the need to develop statistical distributions has become the most important spot. In this context, we employ the α-power transformation (APT) method to convert the generalized Pareto distribution (GPD) into a new distribution. Some statistical properties of the proposed distribution are being studied, such as moments, arithmetic mean, moment-generating function, random variables, entropy, reliability, and hazard function (HF). In addition, the proposed distribution is compared with the Pareto distribution and some other forms of alpha power distributions, such as the alpha power Pareto (APP) distribution, alpha power Rayleigh (APR) distribution, and the alpha power Lomax (APL) distribution. Finally, we demonstrate the benefits of the proposed distribution through a simulation study and two real data sets. It was found that the results showed the MLE method is reliable, the APTGP distribution is a competitive distribution for the aforementioned data set, and it is a mirror image of the Pareto distribution.

The debate exercise was conducted for the new members of the ICIS Club at Kiai Hagi Ahmad Siddiq State Islamic University. They had problems with their workout. Therefore, the research aims to describe these problems, but this is limited to the linguistic problem and the problem of thinking efficiency. In this research, the qualitative research method was used. The data was collected through personal interview and observation. The data was therefore analyzed in a descriptive manner. The results of the research are that the new debaters face two problems throughout an Arabic debate exercise. They are the linguistic problem and the problem of thinking efficiency. The linguistic problem is that they are not used to using contemporary methods and vocabulary in the terminology of debate. The problem with thinking efficiency is that they do not use the three-Ds method to make the case for non-habituation. Nervousness is thought to be a source of confusion, instability, or uncertainty in SC systems due to disruptions and frequent changes in decisions. Nervousness persists even with consistent SCs, which arise from planning flexibility in response to changes, where responsiveness and customer satisfaction balance. Although the term “nervousness” is well known, to our knowledge no prior research has examined and explored supply chain nervousness strategies (SCNSs). This research explores supply chain nervousness strategies, factors, reduction methods, and recent trends in the supply chain’s relationship with nervousness. The main purpose of this research is to determine the comprehensive and relevant nervousness strategies in the supply chains, especially in light of the unprecedented development and change in business, economics, and technology and the fierce competition. SCN strategies are introduced in a developed model to designate SCN measurements and indicators, mitigation strategies and stages, and management strategies. The fuzzy PROMETHEE method is employed to rank the strategies based on their importance and order of implementation. The suggested method for managing nervousness is then presented with a numerical case, along with the results. The research outcomes indicate that the top five strategies for managing nervousness include planning continuity, utilizing technology, managing nervousness, improving the SC cyber system, and managing supplies. The findings assist decision makers, practitioners, and managers in focusing on SC improvement, resilience, and sustainability.

We present here more general concepts of Hausdorff derivatives (structural Nabla derivatives) on a timescale. We examine structural Nabla integration on temporal scales. Using the fixed-point theorem, we establish adequate criteria for the question of existence and uniqueness of the solution to an initial value problem characterized by structural Nabla derivatives on timescales. Furthermore, some features of the new operator are proven and illustrated by using concrete examples.

In this paper, we prove the existence of at least two weak solutions to a class of singular two-phase problems with variable exponents involving a ψ-Hilfer fractional operator and Dirichlet-type boundary conditions when the term source is dependent on one parameter. Here, we use the fiber method and the Nehari manifold to prove our results.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of global mortality and responsible for millions of deaths annually. The mortality rate and overall consequences of cardiac disease can be reduced with early disease detection. However, conventional diagnostic methods encounter various challenges, including delayed treatment and misdiagnoses, which can impede the course of treatment and raise healthcare costs. The application of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, especially machine learning (ML) algorithms, offers a promising pathway to address these challenges. This paper emphasizes the central role of machine learning in cardiac health and focuses on precise cardiovascular disease prediction. In particular, this paper is driven by the urgent need to fully utilize the potential of machine learning to enhance cardiovascular disease prediction. In light of the continued progress in machine learning and the growing public health implications of cardiovascular disease, this paper aims to offer a comprehensive analysis of the topic. This review paper encompasses a wide range of topics, including the types of cardiovascular disease, the significance of machine learning, feature selection, the evaluation of machine learning models, data collection & preprocessing, evaluation metrics for cardiovascular disease prediction, and the recent trends & suggestion for future works. In addition, this paper offers a holistic view of machine learning’s role in cardiovascular disease prediction and public health. We believe that our comprehensive review will contribute significantly to the existing body of knowledge in this essential area.

We demonstrate strong dispersive coupling between a fluxonium superconducting qubit and a 690 megahertz mechanical oscillator, extending the reach of circuit quantum acousto-dynamics (cQAD) experiments into a new range of frequencies. We have engineered a qubit-phonon coupling rate of g≈2π×14MHz, and achieved a dispersive interaction that exceeds the decoherence rates of both systems while the qubit and mechanics are highly nonresonant (Δ/g≳10). Leveraging this strong coupling, we perform phonon-number-resolved measurements of the mechanical resonator and investigate its dissipation and dephasing properties. Our results demonstrate the potential for fluxonium-based hybrid quantum systems, and a path for developing new quantum sensing and information processing schemes with phonons at frequencies below 700 MHz to significantly expand the toolbox of cQAD.

The beneficial application of silver nanoparticles and biostimulants to increase crop yield and quality is a long-term strategy to achieve desired agricultural productions that are resilient to various biotic and abiotic challenges. This project aimed to evaluate the individual effects of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), Ascophyllum nodosum (SEW), and Spirulina platensis (SP) on the growth and physiological responses of Santolina chamaecyparissus. S. chamaecyparissus plants were exposed to AgNPs (20, 40, and 60 mg L−1), SWE (0.5% and 1%), and SP (1%, 2%, and 3%). The finding indicates that the light-harvesting efficiency and plant photochemical capacity are not affected by most treatments except for 60 mg L−1 AgNPs. Furthermore, the pattern of H2O2 levels in leaves was significantly higher after AgNP, SP, and SEW treatments. In parallel, total phenolic production was at least accompanied by a burst in H2O2 levels. However, higher antioxidant activity compared to the control, is shown by the higher free-DPPH-radical inhibition that goes completely smoothly with lower H2O2 levels. Thus, the results of the present study showed that biostimulants overall improved the antioxidant activity of S. chamaecyparissus and induced variable detectable amounts of phenolic compounds in response to the concentrations of each biostimulant.

Swiss dairy products are globally sought after but their production requires relatively large amounts of process heat, often generated from oil and gas. Low-carbon electricity- and biomass-based solutions exist but were often regarded as economically not viable in the past. Therefore, we evaluate the economic viability of low-carbon technologies for the Swiss dairy industry for scenarios of low and high fossil fuel prices in Europe, and its sensitivity to emission cost pathways. Results show a clear cost advantage of heat pumps and biomass boilers going forward, driven particularly by expected future gas prices.

This study sought to compare the morbidity and mortality of redo aortic valve replacement (redo-AVR) versus valve-in-valve trans-catheter aortic valve implantation (valve-in-valve TAVI) for patients with a failing bioprosthetic valve. A multicentre UK retrospective study of redo-AVR or valve-in-valve TAVI for patients referred for redo aortic valve intervention due to a degenerated aortic bioprosthesis. Propensity score matching was performed for confounding factors. From July 2005 to April 2021, 911 patients underwent redo-AVR and 411 patients valve-in-valve TAVI. There were 125 pairs for analysis after propensity score matching. Mean age was 75.2±8.5 years. In-hospital mortality was 7.2% (n=9) for redo-AVR vs 0 for valve-in-valve TAVI, p=0.002. COVID-19 is a severe acute respiratory syndrome that mainly affects the human respiratory system. Unhealthy nutritional habits and obesity are expected as consequences of protective measures including quarantine. Obesity, in its growing prevalence, is a worldwide health issue associated with worsening health conditions. This is a cross-sectional study to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on obesity among Jordanian adults and across epidemiological statuses. Participants were randomly selected, and the survey was distributed on social media networking sites. A total of 672 subjects were surveyed and participated in the study between March and June 2021 via Google Form questionnaire. The results indicated that 74.4% of participants reported that they did not do any physical activity, and 43.5% changed their lifestyle and eating habits for the worse. During the COVID-19 pandemic, almost half of the participants reported an increase in hunger, consuming 3–4 meals/day, and consuming < 1 liter of water/day. Additionally, more than half of the participants reported no change in fat, cereals, and protein consumption, 46.4 % had no change in fruit and vegetable consumption, and 50.6% increased their consumption of sweets. Our results showed a significant increase in the self-reported BMI categories during the COVID-19 pandemic for all ages (p < 0.001). Change in weight and BMI was significantly associated with marital status, education level, living place, family size, family working members, and working status. Participants across all epidemiological statuses displayed a statistically significant increase in BMI. This study was conducted to observe the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on health behaviors and obesity among Jordanian adults and across epidemiological statuses. We found that there were significant negative changes in the lifestyle (physical activity) and eating behaviors of Jordanians during the COVID-19 quarantine which in turn increased their body weight and changed the obesity rate.

Pomegranate juice (PJ) is the major pomegranate product that offers a simple way to consume pomegranate’s biologically active compounds, obtained from arils. In this study, we objectively investigate the physiochemical properties such as pH value, total soluble solids, color parameters, fructose and glucose contents, hydroxymethyl furfural (HMF) content, and viscosity. Also, the phytochemical content includes total phenols content, antioxidant activity, flavonoid, anthocyanin content, and phenolic quantification. In addition, the alpha-amylase and angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitory activities among sweet and sour varieties of pomegranate juice obtained from different regions in Northern Jordan (Ajloun, Dair Abi Said, and Kufur Soum) where the significant differences at P ≤ 0.05 appeared among sweet and sour varieties in different pomegranate juice samples. The pH values for pomegranate juice range from 2.87 to 3.77, and TSS ranges from 15.36 to 16.9 Brix. The total phenol content of pomegranate juice ranged from 105.8 to 238.63 mg/g while the total flavonoid content was present in the range of 135.53–184.9 mg/g. The DPPH inhibition (%) of pomegranate juice ranged between 20.66% and 50.63%, and the anthocyanin content range was 3.66–11.02 mg/g. Ellagic acid, delphinidin, 3,4-dihydroxyphenethyl alcohol, 2-hydroxyphenethyl alcohol, catechin, epicatechin, vanillic acid, caffeic acid, P-coumaric acid, chlorogenic acid, gallic acid, ferulic acid, and syringic acid are phenolics present predominantly in pomegranate juice. Pomegranate juice exhibits high alpha-amylase and angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibition activity. All results indicate good quality and health properties for pomegranate juice.

Objectives: This research aims to explore the family quality of life, resilience, and social support of mothers of children with an autism spectrum disorder in Qatar. Additionally, it aims to investigate the relationship between the family quality of life, resilience, and social support, and the possibility of predicting the family quality of life through resilience and social support. Methods: The current research utilizes the descriptive approach on the sample of (220) mothers of children with an autism spectrum disorder. Three tools were utilized in this research: The Family Quality of Life scale, the Brief Resilience scale, and the Social Support scale. Results: The results show that the participants obtained a high level in most aspects of family quality of life and social support, while they obtained a medium level in resilience. The results of the current research also revealed a positive relationship between family quality of life and both resilience social and support, and the possibility of predicting family quality of life through social support. Conclusions: The current study concluded that social support and resilience are very importance in enhancing the quality of family life.

Superconducting quantum circuits are a promising hardware platform for realizing a fault-tolerant quantum computer. Accelerating progress in this field of research demands general approaches and computational tools to analyze and design more complex superconducting circuits. We develop a framework to systematically construct a superconducting quantum circuit's quantized Hamiltonian from its physical description. As is often the case with quantum descriptions of multicoordinate systems, the complexity rises rapidly with the number of variables. Therefore, we introduce a set of coordinate transformations with which we can find bases to diagonalize the Hamiltonian efficiently. Furthermore, we broaden our framework's scope to calculate the circuit's key properties required for optimizing and discovering novel qubits. We implement the methods described in this work in an open-source Python package $\tt{SQcircuit}$. In this manuscript, we introduce the reader to the $\tt{SQcircuit}$ environment and functionality. We show through a series of examples how to analyze a number of interesting quantum circuits and obtain features such as the spectrum, coherence times, transition matrix elements, coupling operators, and the phase coordinate representation of eigenfunctions.

Skin cancers are concerning for unsheltered people experiencing homelessness because of their high levels of sun exposure. Currently, there is little data on the prevalence of skin cancers in people experiencing homelessness. Skin diseases are often untreated in people experiencing homelessness due to a lack of access to specialized care. Miami Street Medicine (MSM) is an organization that provides people experiencing homelessness in the Miami Health District with medical care in a nonclinical street setting, near overpasses, sidewalks, and encampments. We present a case of an unsheltered 59-year-old male with a pigmented, 2 cm × 2 cm facial lesion that developed over several years. Through a teledermatology consultation, his lesion was highly suspicious of melanoma and further evaluation was recommended. Due to a lack of insurance, he could not be treated at any dermatology clinic. Coincidentally, 2 weeks later, he developed cellulitis of his lower extremity and was admitted to the local safety-net hospital through the emergency department. By coordinating with his primary inpatient team, MSM was able to include a biopsy of the lesion as part of his hospital stay. The results demonstrated melanoma in situ. The vital course of action was to ensure treatment before metastasis. After registration for insurance and follow-up with a surgical oncology team, he is weeks away from excision and reconstruction surgery. His unsheltered status made follow-up difficult, but MSM bridged the gap from the street to the clinical setting by incorporating teledermatology into patient evaluations and leveraging connections with community shareholders such as charitable clinics and volunteer physicians. This case also represents the barriers to care for cancer-based dermatologic outreach among people experiencing homelessness.

Regional development policy based on the existing capacities of knowledge and innovation in the regions is one of the neglected issues in Iran's development policy. At present, there is no serious difference in providing solutions for different provinces, while the provinces of the country are different both in terms of the level of knowledge and innovation and its absorption capacity. In this research, based on the review of existing studies and new principles of measuring regional innovation capacity, a suitable framework for measuring innovation capacity is presented and accordingly, the innovation capacity of the country's provinces is measured. Results showed that in proportion to the decrease or increase in the level of development of regions, the innovation capacity of regions also increases or decreases. Innovation capacity has also decreased in proportion to the increasing geographical distance from the center of the country. Hence, Sistan and Baluchestan province has the lowest level of innovation capacity and provinces around Tehran such as Semnan, Karaj, Qazvin and Qom, have relatively high levels of innovation capacity. Nevertheless, Ilam and Bushehr provinces are in the first to fifth place among 31 provinces in terms of innovation capacity due to two important factors: 1. Small population and 2. Existence of oil and gas industries.

This research aimed to determine the biofunctional properties of wheat flour (WF) protein fractions and modifications to the antioxidant, anti-α-amylase and anti-angiotensin-I converting enzyme (ACE) activities induced by the action of digestive endopeptidases in vitro. A molecular characterization of the most abundant protein fractions, i.e., albumins, glutelins-1, glutelins-2 and prolamins, showed that low- and high-MW polypeptides rich in cysteine, glutamic acid and leucine were present in albumins and glutelins, whereas low-MW subunits with a high proportion of polar amino acids prevailed in prolamins. Prolamins exhibited the second-highest water holding capacity (54%) after WF (84%), while albumins provided superior foam stability (76%). Prolamins, glutenins-1 and globulins demonstrated the highest antioxidant activity (up to 95%, 68% and 59%, respectively) both before and after hydrolysis with pepsin (P-H) or trypsin–chymotrypsin (TC-H). Prolamins, globulins and WF strongly inhibited α-amylase (>90%) before and after TC-H, and before P-H (55–71%). Moreover, P-H significantly increased α-amylase inhibition by albumins from 53 to 74%. The fractions with strong ACE inhibitory activity (70–89%) included prolamins and globulins after TC-H or P-H, as well as globulins before TC-H and WF before P-H. This novel evidence indicates that WF protein fractions and their peptide-enriched P and TC hydrolysates are excellent sources of multifunctional bioactives with antioxidant, antihyperglycemic and antihypertensive potential.

Abstract Ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) are one of the renewable energy technologies with features of high efficiency, energy saving, economic feasibility and environmental protection. In China, GSHPs have been widely used for building heating and cooling in recent years, and have shown great potential for future energy development. This paper summarizes the classification, development history, and use status of shallow GSHPs. Several typical engineering cases of GSHP technology are also specified and analyzed. Finally, promising development trends and some advanced technologies are illustrated.

The paper deals with the study of the existence result for a Kirchhoff elliptic system with additive right hand side and variable parameters involving p−Laplacian operator by using the sub-super solutions method. Our study is an natural extension result of our previous once in (Math. Methods Appl. Sci. 41 (2018), 5203–5210), where in the latter we discussed only the simple case when the parameters are constant.

The aim of this study was to determine the phenolic and protein contents of differently prepared protein co-precipitates (Co) from flaxseed and soybean and to determine the antioxidant activity and inhibitory activity towards angiotensin-1-converting enzyme (ACE) of their phenolic constituents. Protein co-precipitates were prepared by alkaline extraction involving mixing flaxseed (F) and soybean (S) powders (Mp) or flaxseed and soybean extracts (Me), followed by isoelectric (Ie) precipitation or Ie and heating (Ie-He). The highest protein contents and yields were obtained with Co-Me/Ie (53.28% and 25.58%, respectively) and Co-Me/Ie-He (46.84% and 19.87%), which also contained relatively high amounts of total phenolics (8.10 and 8.57 mg GAE/g). Co-Me/Ie contained more total bound phenolics (4.33 mg GAE/g) than total free phenolics (3.76 mg GAE/g), while Co-Me/Ie-He co-precipitates were richer in free phenolics (4.82 mg/g). Several free phenolic (FP) and bound phenolic (BP) fractions from Co-Me/Ie (FP-50 °C), Co-Mp/Ie (FP-50 °C and BP-base), Co-Me/Ie-He (FP-50 °C) and Co-Mp/Ie-He (FP-50 °C and BP-base) had the highest antioxidant activity, ranging from 24.7% to 29.6%. ACE inhibitory activity of the BP-acid fraction from Co-Me/Ie and FP-25 °C fraction from Co-Mp/Ie-He were the highest (44.6% and 47.5%). Findings suggest that protein co-precipitates from flaxseed and soybean extracts (Co-Me/Ie and Co-Me/Ie-He) have a high potential for use as protein and phenolic-rich functional ingredients that may benefit the formulation of functional foods and nutraceuticals with antioxidant and antihypertensive properties.

The effect of six months storage at 25 °C and 35 °C of Halawa tahinia on physicochemical and nutraceutical properties were evaluated. The results revealed that the highest value of phenol content of Halawa tahinia is 215.8 mg GAE 100 g−1 at zero time, while, the lowest level is 156.41 mg GAE 100 g−1 at 25 °C stored for six months. The highest antioxidant value is 64.38% at zero time and the lowest is 42.42% stored at 25 °C for six months. Results showed a decrease in antioxidant activity, total phenolics content (TPC) and anthocyanin during storage of Halawa tahinia at 25 °C and 35 °C. The raw material Halawa tahinia found to contain the highest amounts of phenols, antioxidant activities and anthocyanins, which were 320.47 mg GAE 100 g−1, 71.80%, and 0.54 mg cya-3-glu100 g−1, respectively. While, the soapwort root contained lower amounts of phenols and antioxidant as the values found was 30.17 mg GAE 100 g−1 and 5.06%, respectively. There was no significant difference between TPC and anthocyanin content in Halawa tahinia at 25 °C and at 35 °C. The anthocyanin levels of Halawa tahinia stored at 35 °C for six months decreased from 0.48 mg cya-3-glu 100 g−1 at zero time to 0.12 mg cya-3-glu100 g−1 at the sixth month. The color values of Halawa tahinia increased during storage at 25 °C and 35 °C. However, the total phenolics, antioxidant activity and anthocyanin contents of Halawa tahinia decreased significantly during processing and storage for six months at 25 °C and 35 °C. However, still, it is of considerable amount.

Abstract In this paper, a fluid queue driven by truncated queue with discouraged arrivals is considered. Using the efficient matrix technique, the expressions of the steady-state distribution of both the buffer content and stationary state probabilities of background birth-death process are acquired. Then, performance measures and analysis of server utilization and mean buffer content are carried out.

The profiles of food products are one interesting link that adds a new functional component. Cookies became one of the remarkable foods as a result of their simple preparation, a protracted period, and a sensible acceptance by the population. The effects of sonication on physical and sensory characteristics of cookies to be enhanced were studied. The results showed that cookies prepared with 5 and 10% replacement of sonicated whey protein had significant differences in sensory evaluation especially crumb, but there were no significant differences in the physical characteristics, so we can conclude that sonication will improve sensory properties of cookies. Also, we can conclude that biscuit samples supplemented with 5 or 10% WPC were nutrient-rich. The results of the sensory evaluation showed that the cookie samples supplemented with 5% WPC performed better in most of the characteristics but decreased with an increase in the WPC level. The texture properties of the cookie samples indicated that the control cookies with WPC-supplemented cookies showed no significant differences in most studied properties. It can be concluded that the addition of sonicated whey protein enhanced the physiochemical and sensory properties of cookies.

In this article, a new two-parameter model called the truncated Cauchy power-inverted Topp–Leone (TCP-ITL) is constructed by merging the truncated Cauchy power -G (TCP-G) family with the inverted Topp–Leone (ITL) distribution. Some structural properties of the newly suggested model are obtained. Different types of entropies are proposed under the TCP-ITL distribution. Under the complete and hybrid censored data, the maximum likelihood (ML), maximum product of spacing (MPSP), and Bayesian estimate approaches are explored. A simulation study is developed to test the proposed distribution’s restricted sample attributes. In the majority of cases, the numerical data revealed that the Bayesian estimates provided more accurate outcomes than the equivalent alternative estimates. The adaptability of the proposed approach is proven using examples from dependability, medicine, and engineering. A real-world data set is utilized to demonstrate the potential of the TCP-ITL distribution in comparison to other well-known distributions. The results of the model selection revealed that the proposed distribution is the best choice for the data sets under consideration.

This article seeks to show a general framework of the cubic polynomial spline functions for developing a computational technique to solve the space-fractional Fisher’s equation. The presented approach is demonstrated to be conditionally stable using the von Neumann technique. A numerical illustration is given to demonstrate the proposed algorithm’s effectiveness. The novelty of the present work lies in the fact that the results suggest that the presented technique is accurate and convenient in solving such problems.
