名古屋大学工学部・工学研究科は平成29年度から新しい教育システムへと改組を行う。この中で、従来の学部＋修士＋博士を4＋2＋3年で行う教育システムの考え方から、3＋3＋3型の新しい考え方へと変更する。このことで、Late specializationを実施するための専門基礎教育＋専門分化＋イノベーション教育という構図が可能となる。本稿では工学のすべての分野をカバーする学部7学科の学科構成とこれに直結した大学院17専攻群の配置について改組前の構造と対比させつつ概説したのち、教育システムの改組に至った経緯と4年次の卒業研究配属時に初めて専門分化しこれが大学院に直結するLate specializationの具体的な例およびその中における専門教育の位置づけについて紹介する。, A new education system will commence from academic year 2017 in the School of Engineering and the Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya University. The ordinary 4 ＋ 2 ＋ 3 system for the undergraduate (4years), postgraduate (2years), and doctorate (3years) courses will be shifted to a 3 ＋ 3 ＋ 3 system including a “late specialization system” in the basics (3years) + specialization (3years) + innovation (3years) system. In this report, this new system of undergraduate and graduate schools is explained in comparison with the present 4＋2＋3 structure. Then, the new education system will be discussed with actual examples, including the role of specialized courses.

工学部・工学研究科では課題解決型のいわゆる「創成教育」を導入して約10 年が経過した。この中では、実験や実習を通した体験型学習が重要な位置を占めている。内容は、各専攻・分野で社会的な要請や学術の発展動向などを踏まえてそれぞれ進化してきているが、これに大学院における高度総合工学創造実験、研究インターンシップ、海外研修制度が加わり、職業的自立や社会のニーズにこたえる工学部・工学研究科独自のカリキュラムスタイルが確立してきている。本稿では、こうした創成教育のカリキュラム内での位置づけを紹介するとともに、その具体例として、分子化学工学コースの「プロセス基礎セミナー」および大学院共通実験の「高度総合工学創造実験」の実施の詳細を述べる。いずれも、事後アンケートにおける受講者の評価や満足度は非常に高く、体験型学習を通じた創成教育の大きな可能性を示すものである。学生の要求に応え、教育目標・目的を達成する内容であると言えよう。いずれも、指導を担当する教員への負担が大きな問題であり、しっかりとしたサポート体制が不可欠である。, Almost 10 years have passed since the introduction of the "Creativity Education" program into the School of Engineering and Graduate School of Engineering at Nagoya University as part of "Engineering Design Education". "Opportunities programs" to achieve experience-based learning through experiments and practice are quite important in creativity education. In the undergraduate course, the program contents have been arranged by the departments and courses according to social demands and the progress of the scientific aspects of the area. In the graduate course, "Creative Experiments for Comprehensive Engineering" "Research Internship" and "International Research Project" were added as comprehensive engineering courses to complete the original curriculum in engineering education. This study introduces the role of "Creativity Education" in our curriculum. Concrete examples include details such as "Seminars on Fundamentals of Processing" (undergraduate course, Chemical Engineering Department) and "Creative Experiments for Comprehensive Engineering" (graduate course, comprehensive engineering courses). Both classes received high evaluations, suggesting the great potential for a creativity education project to complete engineering design education. Effective supporting systems must be established to smoothly conduct these education programs.

A microchannel with two inlets and two outlets was tested as a potential reactor to carry out two-phase catalytic phase transfer reaction with phase separation at the exit of the microchannel. The catalytic phase transfer reaction between benzyl chloride and sodium sulfide was chosen as a model reaction. The effect of operational time on the conversion was studied. By utilizing a multiphase parallel flow inside the microchannel reactor with the aid of a guideline structure, the catalytic phase reaction followed by phase separation could be ensured. The organic phase could be separated completely from one exit and part of the aqueous phase was separated purely and could be reused with slightly affecting the catalytic phase transfer reaction.
