We report the modification of a label-free image scanning microscope (ISM) to perform asynchronous 2D imaging at 24kHz while keeping the lateral resolution gain and background rejection of a regular label-free ISM setup. Our method uses a resonant mirror oscillating at 12kHz for one-direction scanning and a chromatic line for instantaneous scanning in the other direction. We adapt optical photon reassignment in this scanning regime to perform fully optical super-resolution imaging. We exploit the kHz imaging capabilities of this confocal imaging system for single nanoparticle tracking down to 20nm for gold and 50nm for silica particles as well as imaging freely moving Lactobacillus with improved resolution.

Existing medical text datasets usually take the form of question and answer pairs that support the task of natural language generation, but lacking the composite annotations of the medical terms. In this study, we publish a Vietnamese dataset of medical questions from patients with sentence-level and entity-level annotations for the Intent Classification and Named Entity Recognition tasks. The tag sets for two tasks are in medical domain and can facilitate the development of task-oriented healthcare chatbots with better comprehension of queries from patients. We train baseline models for the two tasks and propose a simple self-supervised training strategy with span-noise modelling that substantially improves the performance. Despite the rise of recent performant methods in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), such methods do not ensure proper casing and punctuation for their outputs. This problem has a significant impact on the comprehension of both Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms and human to process. Capitalization and punctuation restoration is imperative in pre-processing pipelines for raw textual inputs. For low resource languages like Vietnamese, public datasets for this task are scarce. In this paper, we contribute a public dataset for capitalization and punctuation recovery for Vietnamese; and propose a joint model for both tasks named JointCapPunc. Experimental results on the Vietnamese dataset show the effectiveness of our joint model compare to single model and previous joint learning model. ATLAS detector at the LHC will undergo a major Phase-II upgrade for the High Luminosity LHC. The upgrade affects all major ATLAS systems, including the Trigger and Data Acquisition systems. As part of the Level-0 Trigger System, the Global Trigger uses full-granularity calorimeter cells to perform algorithms, refines the trigger objects and applies topological requirements. The Global Trigger uses a Global Common Module as the building block of its design. To achieve a high input and output bandwidth and substantial processing power, the Global Common Module will host the most advanced FPGAs and optical modules. In order to evaluate the new generation of optical modules and FPGAs running at high data rates (up to 28 Gb/s), a Global Trigger Technological Demonstrator board has been designed and tested. The main hardware blocks of the board are the Xilinx Virtex Ultrascale+ 9P FPGA and a number of optical modules, including high-speed Finisar BOA and Samtec FireFly modules. Long-run link tests have been performed for the Finisar BOA and Samtec FireFly optical modules running at 25.65 and 27.58 Gb/s respectively. Successful results demonstrating a good performance of the optical modules when communicating with the FPGA have been obtained. Several matrix approaches were developed to control light propagation through multiple scattering media under illumination of ultrashort pulses of light. These matrices can be recorded either with spectral or temporal resolution. Thanks to wavefront shaping, temporal and spatial refocusing have been demonstrated. In this work, we study how these different methods can be exploited to enhance a two-photon excitation fluorescence process. We first compare the different techniques on micrometer-size isolated fluorescent beads. We then demonstrate point-scanning imaging of such fluorescent microbeads located after a thick scattering medium, at a depth where conventional imaging would be impossible because of scattering effects., Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures

Primary User Emulation Attack (PUEA), in which attackers emulate primary user signals causing restriction of secondary access on the attacked channels, is a serious security problem in Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs). An user performing a PUEA for selfishly occupying more channels is called a selfish PUEA attacker. Network managers could adopt a surveillance process on disallowed channels for identifying illegal channel occupation of selfish PUEA attackers and hence mitigating selfish PUEA. Determining surveillance strategies, particularly in multi-channel context, is necessary for ensuring network operation fairness. In this paper, we formulate a game, called multi-channel surveillance game, between the selfish attack and the surveillance process in multi-channel CRNs. The sequence-form representation method is adopted to determine the Nash Equilibrium (NE) of the game. We present simulations of the production cross-section measurement of top-antitop pairs in the di-leptonic decay channel with the ATLAS detector. This study uses the Commissioning Service Challenge (CSC) data, which is the latest and centrally produced Monte-Carlo data set to validate the detector simulation before the actual data taking. The signal process was generated with MC@NLO and important background processes were studied. A cut and count method and two likelihood methods were employed to measure the cross section and important systematic effects were investigated.
