Production & Use of Agrochemicals (Chemical Fertilizers & Pesticides) Although it was essential to use the Agrochemicals (Chemical Fertilizers for Growth of Crops & Chemical Pesticides to Protect them from Pests & Diseases) for high food productivity to feed the fast-growing population of the world & protect from ‘hunger’ & ‘starvation’ it came as a ‘Mixed Blessing’ for the world. It was also termed as ‘Green Revolution’ when it was started in the 1960’s. It adversely affected the Environment & the Agricultural Ecosystems all over world. It badly degraded & destroyed the ‘natural fertility’ of the farm soils & ‘chemically contaminated’ many of the foods produced. About 57 fruits & vegetables grown by the Agrochemicals have been found to be contaminated with the ‘Residual Chemical Pesticides’. As mentioned earlier, several farmers are ‘poisoned’ every year all over the world by the use of Pesticides. Use of Chemical Fertilizers in farms also consumes more water for Farm Irrigation using huge ‘Groundwater Resources’ of Earth which is now fast depleting all over the World. b). Use of ‘Metals’ & ‘Materials’ for Production of Farm Vehicles and Instruments In modern times, production of metals like ‘Iron & Steel’, ‘Copper & Aluminium’ are required in large amounts for the production of Machines & Equipments for development of ‘Food Farms’ in the fertile Forested areas by removing the Trees, mowing & tilling the Soils to remove the ‘weeds & grass’. Abstract

The study examined the effect of turnover ratios on the value of consumer goods firms in Nigeria as large number of business failures have been blamed on the inability of the firm managers to successfully use efficiency ratios to analyze, monitor and control the progress and performance of their firms. The ex-post facto research design and multiple regression analysis were adopted. The findings showed that inventory turnover ratio significantly affects earnings per share of consumer goods firms in Nigeria with a t-statistic of 4.074926 and probability value of 0.0006 at 5% level of significance. Assets turnover ratio significantly affects earnings per share of consumer goods firms in Nigeria with a t-statistic of 5.139843 and probability value of 0.0094 at 5% level of significance, It was equally observed that account receivable turnover ratio significantly affects earnings per share of consumer goods firms in Nigeria with a t-statistic of 3.473243 and probability value of 0.0475 at 5% level of significance, the study further discovered that account payable turnover ratio significantly affects earnings per share of consumer goods firms in Nigeria with a t-statistic of 4.410422 and probability value of 0.0050 at 5% level of significance. Based on the findings it was recommended that inventory of the companies should be reduced to avoid obsolete stocks. With effective account receivables and account payables the cashflow of companies will experience tremendous improvement.

Данная работа посвящена исследованию финансового анализа на основе финансовых коэффициентов и разработке мер по улучшению финансового положения ПАО «ТГК-1». Задачи, которые решались в ходе исследования: 1. Рассмотрение теоретических основ финансового анализа. 2. Изучение аналитических коэффициентов как элемента анализа финансового состояния предприятия. 3. Проведение анализа финансово-хозяйственной деятельности ПАО «ТГК-1». 4. Расчёт и анализ финансовых коэффициентов ПАО «ТГК-1». 5. Разработка комплекса мероприятий по улучшению финансового состояния ПАО «ТГК-1» и оценка эффективности предложенных мер. Работа проведена на предприятии ПАО «ТГК-1», где собиралась значительная часть фактического материала: бухгалтерский баланс, отчет о финансовых результатах деятельности. Были проведены расчеты, показывающие наглядно финансовое положение предприятия. Анализ проводился методом математических расчетов (метод сравнения, балансовый метод, горизонтальный анализ, вертикальный анализ) с помощью программного обеспечения Microsoft Excel. В результате была проанализирована финансовая отчетность предприятия и проведены расчеты финансовых коэффициентов. Разработаны рекомендации по улучшению финансового положения ПАО «ТГК-1»., The subject of the graduate qualification work is “Financial statements analysis based on financial ratios (for example, PJSC “TGC-1”)”. The given work is devoted to studying financial analysis based on financial ratios, and to developing measures to improve the financial position of PJSC “TGC-1”. The research set the following goals: 1. Consideration of the theoretical basis of financial analysis. 2. The study of systems of analytical ratios as an element of the analysis of the financial condition of the enterprise. 3. Analysis of financial and economic activities of PJSC “TGC-1”. 4. Calculation and analysis of financial ratios of PJSC “TGC-1”. 5. Developing measures to improve the financial position of PJSC “TGC-1” and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed measures. The work was fulfilled on the premises PJSC “TGC-1”, which included collection of factual materials, i.e. balance sheet, statement of financial results. The calculations, made during the research, show the financial position of the company. The analysis was conducted by the method of mathematical calculations (comparison method, balance method, horizontal analysis, vertical analysis) with the use of Microsoft Excel. The study resulted into analysis of the financial statement of the company and calculations financial ratios. There were developed guidelines for improve the financial position of PJSC “TGC-1”.

Abstract

Appraising asset utilization is a multi-task exercise conceived and performed because it measures how efficiently an organization uses its resources. The success of any enterprise is tied to its ability to manage and leverage its assets. Assets utilization ratios (turnover ratios) provide measures of management effectiveness. Hence, in this study a detailed analysis of assets turnover has been made for better understanding the factors responsible for changes in profitability in the Indian Automobile industry. The analysis of all the assets utilization ratios registered a fluctuating trend during the study period, which may be due to the difference into growth rate of sales because of the factors such as market conditions, pricing policy, government policy and competition. Comparatively, the companies under two and three wheelers sector out performed the commercial vehicles and passenger cars and multi-utility vehicles sector with respect to their asset utilization. Abstract

This paper examines how proxies of efficiency can help investors in exploring firm profitability, stock market value and operational cash flow using company accounting information on the basis of the multiple regression model. On a sample of 215 non-financial firms listed on the Italian Stock Exchange between 2004 and 2013, a positive correlation was found between several turnover ratios used as proxies of efficiency and measures of firm profitability that are more closely related to operating activities such as EBITDA to assets ratio. Similarly, a positive correlation was revealed when operational cash flow was examined, whilst no significant associations between proxies of efficiency and stock market indicators were found. Furthermore, this study explored the role that turnover ratios used as proxies of efficiency have on capital structure in order to gain insight into the significance of relationships related to cash flow.

Abstract

Zaloge predstavljajo pomemben člen v dobavni verigi podjetja, saj zagotavljajo nemoteno oskrbo podjetja s potrebnimi materiali in tako omogočajo tekoč delovni proces. Obstaja več vrst zalog. To so proizvodne zaloge, zaloge pomožnega materiala, zaloge polizdelkov in zaloge končnih izdelkov. Poleg tega pa so tu še varnostne, signalne, maksimalne, minimalne zaloge in druge. Zaloge v podjetju kompenzirajo napake zaradi neprimernih metod planiranja, nenatančnih podatkov o stanjih, zamud dobavnih rokov in odklone dobavljenih količin. Problem zalog je, da nase vežejo finančna sredstva, obenem pa povzročajo stroške. Večje kot so zaloge, večje stroške ima podjetje. Zato je potrebno posvetiti veliko pozornosti določanju optimalne višine zalog, to pa izhaja iz znanja o proizvodih in procesih, poznavanju dejavnosti in proizvodnih zmogljivosti podjetja, pa tudi iz zmožnosti dovolj natančnega napovedovanja prodaje. Teoretično obravnavo zalog sem nadaljevala s ponazoritvijo upravljanja z zalogami v podjetju Doors, d.o.o., kjer sem predstavila njihov način spremljanja zalog in nekatere podatke, ki omogočajo boljši pogled na zaloge. Stocks are an important part in the supply chain of one company because they ensure smooth care with needed materials and allow going working process. There are different types of stocks, for example raw materials, finished goods, spare parts, safety stocks, levelling stocks, signalling stocks and other. Stocks in company give a buffer when there are mistakes in plannig methods, inaccurate data about state, delays in deliveries and deviations in delivered quantity. The problem of stocks is that they cause costs of tied-up capital and other costs. Higher than the stocks are, more costs that means for the company. Because of those reasons it is important to give enough attention to lot sizing. For that we need enough knowledge about products and processes, knowledge about type of branch and production capacities and we also need to be able to predict sell very precise. First I wrote theoretical facts about stocks, then I continued with chosen example, Doors, d.o.o.. I presented their methods of managing stocks and some data, which give better look on their stocks.

Abstract

What do we know about the links between economic development and corporate governance in emerging markets? Stijn Claessens and Burcin Yurtoglu have sifted through scores of academic studies on various countries, sectors, and business organizations - from state-owned enterprises to publicly listed companies - to determine how corporate governance can influence economic development and well being, and what is needed to promote good practices. The Focus 10 draws on new evidence that has become available since Focus 1: Corporate Governance and Development was published in 2003. While the paper reviews research literature, it is written to be accessible to the nonacademic audience: board members, investors, government regulators, development professionals, and other CG practitioners. Research findings sited in the Focus include: 1) improved corporate governance practices increase firm share prices; 2) operational performance is higher in better corporate governance countries; 3) well governed companies have less volatile stock prices in times of crisis; 4) companies with boards composed of a higher fraction of outsider or independent directors usually have a higher market valuation; 5) improvements in corporate governance quality lead to higher GDP growth, productivity growth, and the increased ratio of investment to GDP; 6) when a country's overall corporate governance and property rights systems are weak, voluntary and market corporate governance mechanisms have limited effectiveness; 7) large, more concentrated ownership can be beneficial, unless there is a disparity of control and cash flow rights; 8) the quality of shareholder protection positively correlates with the development of countries' capital markets; and 9) better corporate governance leads to a better developed financial system. The paper concludes by identifying several main policy and research issues that require further study. For example, more research is needed on family-owned, state-owned or controlled firms that predominate in many sectors and economies. Výpočty a jejich grafická zobrazení jsou prováděny pomocí počítačového systému Maple., The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the efficiency of the company Agrostav, akciová společnost. The work includes first the theoretical basis for calculating the financial analysis, then the actual analysis itself followed by the assessment of the resulting values and some suggestions for improving the company's economic situation. The calculations and their graphical representations were made with the Maple system.

V závěru práce jsou sledované společnosti porovnány a jsou navržena možná opatření na zlepšení řešení problémových bodů., This master’s thesis deals with financial analysis of company Tenza, a.s. The results of financial analysis of this company are compared with results of competitive companies using modern and classical methods. It includes theoretical part which is necessary to complete the analysis, graphical and verbal interpretation of the results. At the conclusion of this thesis the observed companies are compared and possible steps to improve problematic points of solved problems are proposed.

V závěru práce jsou sledované společnosti porovnány a jsou navržena možná opatření na zlepšení řešení problémových bodů., This master’s thesis deals with financial analysis of company Tenza, a.s. The results of financial analysis of this company are compared with results of competitive companies using modern and classical methods. It includes theoretical part which is necessary to complete the analysis, graphical and verbal interpretation of the results. At the conclusion of this thesis the observed companies are compared and possible steps to improve problematic points of solved problems are proposed.
