Background: Motorcycle traffic accidents represent a serious social, economic, and health problem in Brazil. Parte superior do formulário. Objective: To analyze the spatial distribution and factors associated with urban traffic accidents attended by the emergency mobile care service (SAMU) in Arapiraca, Alagoas, in 2018. Method: Ecological study including victims of urban traffic accidents that occurred in Arapiraca, Alagoas, in 2018. The sociodemographic and clinical variables were obtained from the SAMU care records. Incidence rates (IT) per 10,000 inhabitants were calculated. The spatial units adopted were the neighborhoods. Global and local Moran statistics were used in the analysis. Results: 1,296 victims were registered, with a higher incidence rate in males (TI 79.62) and in the age group 20-29 years (TI 106.52). The occurrences involving motorcycles corresponded to 85.3%. The time with the highest accident rate was between 18h00min and 20h59min (RR 6.48; 95% CI: 6.48-10.36) and the day was Saturday (RR 1.62; 95% CI: 1.46-1, 78). The spatial analysis identified priority areas on the highways (n = 172; 13.27%) and concentration in five neighborhoods (n = 433; 33.41%). Conclusion: The spatial distribution was heterogeneous, and the associated factors were male gender, young age, involving motorcycles, time between 18:00 and 20:59 on Saturdays.
