The problem of terrorism is gaining scale and acquiring new forms, requiring the international community to develop new approaches to combating threats. The aim of the work is to assess the Lublin Triangle countries' counterterrorism activities and identify the potential problems associated with such activities. The research used the doctrinal approach, content analysis, and descriptive and comparative methods. The conducted research described such a format of international cooperation as the Lublin Triangle. Improving the defence capabilities of the countries within the alliance and countering terrorist threats from the Russian Federation is of particular importance because of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Both prospects and problems in the activities of the association were identified. The problematic aspects are related to the aggravation of relations between Ukraine and Poland. Coordinated work of countries in the field of combating disinformation was noted. Several recommendations provided by representatives of non-governmental organisations of the Lublin Triangle countries in this area are summarised. Potential directions for further development of relations between the studied countries were outlined. Recent research has shown that the level of heavy metals in the human body is near 700 times higher than that of our ancestors. It is known that heavy metals do not degrade and are not broken-down by microorganisms and the period for their elimination from the body is very long. They can accumulate in the liver, brain, kidneys, muscles, bones, nails and hair. The World Health Organization highlights the risks of neurological, renal, liver, heart and bone diseases caused by heavy metals. The treatment for most heavy metal intoxications is chelating therapy, which can extend over a very long period of time and is quite costly. However, complementary treatments with medicinal plants have proven helpful to remove heavy metals by intensify diuresis, purifying the blood, through their depurative and hepato-protective role, etc. The paper presents the results of some publications in the field, focusing on the plants role in the human body detox. The consumption of fresh tomatoes, both in Romania and worldwide, has an important place as far as the vegetable category is concerned. This paper presents the results of the studies carried out for the technological and economic characterization of the 'Moneymaker' tomato in the marketing process in fresh state. The duration of maintaining the quality depends on the ripening stage at harvesting and on the temperature level during storage. The limit period for fresh fruits marketing is 7-9 days at a temperature of 23-24 0C and of 18-22 days at a temperature of 7-100C. It was also ascertained that over 97% of the output of the 'Moneymaker' tomato corresponds to the specific quality standard. The fruits harvested in greenhouse or solarium have a homogenous structure by quality categories, the value of quality category coefficient (Q) having values between 2.64 and 2.60. The research has looked at the effectiveness of washing tomatoes with ozonated water before processing. Washing was done by immersion in water with O3 micro bubbling at 2.5 mg L-1 for 5 and 10 minutes, respectively at the temperature of 15°C. The removal of residues generated by treating tomatoes with Cyperguard 25 EC, Dithane M-45 and Topsin 70 WDG was examined. Mass spectrometry was used to determine the residues. At V1, the variant treated with Cypermethrin, the second and fourth peak have recorded the values of 0.6 mg/kg > 0.5 mg/kg, the value accepted as the maximum allowed limit. Five varieties of black chokeberries were analysed at fresh, intermediate (after the osmotic treatment) and dried stages, (after dehydration) comparing their soluble solids, total sugar, titratable acidity, vitamin C, phenols and anthocyanins content. The study aims to find various correlations between the osmotic treatment and the sensory & nutraceutical qualities of fruits and time & energy savings, as well. The hypertonic solutions were represented by a natural concentrated fruits juice in the ratio 1:2, 1:3 and 1:7 and by an inverted sugar syrup in the same ratios. In response to increased consumer demand for healthful food products, finding sustainable and eco-friendly technologies became a true challenge. Based on the latest regulations of the relevant authorities, the ozone treatment into the sector of horticultural products capitalization and food industry was unanimously recognized as wholly safe for humans. Due to ozone property to be converted into oxygen by autolysis, it is used in the ecological technologies as disinfectant, antimicrobial and pesticides residues remover in the contact food applications. Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. - Gutta-percha, Hardy rubber tree, known as Du Zhong in China, is commonly used in Chinese herbalism, being considered to be one of the 50 fundamental herbs. E. ulmoides is native to China and has been widely cultivated in central and south-eastern regions of China and other countries worldwide. The studied individuals have been cultivated in the Bucharest, at the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine's Botanical Garden which maintained this species for over 40 years. Different studies have been carried out with regard to leaf morphology, as well as the anatomy of the stem, leaf and petiole. Morphological analyses show that leaves vary in length between 12 and 15 cm, in width between 5.2 and 8 cm, and the petiole length measures 1.5-2 cm. The leaves of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. feature an epidermis (upper and lower) covered by cuticle. Their mesophyll is bifacial. Ethanolic extracts from the fresh leaves and fruits were prepared in order to determine the total phenolic, flavonoid and associated antioxidant activity. The results showed that leaves had higher total polyphenol and flavonid content than fruits and fruits had higher antioxidant activity than leaves. The findings of this study suggest that Eucommia ulmoides can be also used as a dietary source of phenolic compounds with antioxidant potential. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Plumeria (fam. Apocynaceae), known as frangipani is a semi-deciduous shrub, native to tropical areas of the Pacific Islands, South and Central America. The flower offers a genuine delight to the visual and olfactory senses, due to its shape & colour attractiveness and to its amazing fragrance. The bio-compounds of Plumeria sp. are used for treating various ailments, while the petals are edible - they are used in different dishes, for cosmetic purposes and spiritual ceremonies. In our country, eight varieties of Plumeria sp. are in the process of acclimatization; frangipanis can resist outdoor up to 10°C. The size of analyzed frangipanis ranged between 42-88 cm in height and 36-75 cm in width. Plumeria sp. leaves are bright green, simple, alternative, elliptic-obovate, 18.8-32 cm long, 8.2-12.7 cm large, clustered at the end of the branches. The petiole's length varied between 4.5-6.7 cm and its diameter was averagely of 0.65 cm. Microscopically, the leaf showed the presence of thick lamina, adaxial & abaxial epidermis, adaxial phloem, palisade mesophyll, trichomes, air chambers, laticifer cells, tannins, starch granules, oil glands, collateral vascular strand. Murraya koenigii L. (Rutaceae), known as the curry leaf tree is native to the Indian subcontinent and cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions. The fresh and roasted leaves of the curry tree are widely used in the Asiatic cuisine for seasoning different dishes. The essential oil can be extracted from its flowers and leaves and used in the cosmetic industry. The Ayurvedic medicine uses the leaves of Murraya koenigii, due to their high therapeutic properties. The curry leaf tree can grow very well in our climate but must be protected from freezing. The research pointed out that the bioactive principles of analyzed curry tree plants are highly valuable for medicinal purposes. The morphological analyses showed that the leaves are pinnate, with 11-25 leaflets, each leaflet 2-4 cm long and 1-2 cm broad. Agastache foeniculum (Pursh) Kuntze (Lophanthus anisatus (Nutt.) Benth.) is an aromatic plant used for its medicinal and nutritive properties. It is also is a melliferous and ornamental plant. For the first time, the acclimatization of new species, such as Agastache foeniculum (Pursh) Kuntze, was made in 2010 at the Buzău Institute for Research and Development in Vegetable Growing, Romania. In 2019, Agastache foeniculum (Pursh) Kuntze was studied at the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest. The current study is dealing with the leaf and stem anatomy of Agastache foeniculum specimens obtained from seeds provided by the Buzău Institute. The anatomical analyses were made at different parts of the specimens. The leaf analyses showed the presence of glandular and nonglandular trichomes in the upper and lower epidermis. It is not too late to learn/teach a foreign language in a heterogeneous classroom at bachelor level if the students' language-learning potential is considered alive and their emotional response easy to be triggered with the appropriate methods, materials and strategies. Some uncomplicated activities chosen spontaneously by the teacher have proved this, not to speak about the teacher's passion to put together such working tasks. Objective  To compare magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using a body coil with computed tomography (CT) in measuring the tibial tubercle-trochlear groove distance (TT-TG) and the patellar tendon-cartilaginous trochlear groove (PT-CTG) distances, and evaluate interrater reliability. Methods  The study group consisted of 34 knees from 17 asymptomatic subjects with no history of knee pathology, trauma or surgery. A low-dose CT scan and an axial T1-weighted MRI sequence of the knees were performed with rigorous standardization of the positioning with full extension of the knees and parallel feet. Two musculoskeletal radiologists performed the measurements independently. The reliability of the TT-TG and PT-CTG distances on CT (17.1 ± 4.2 mm and 17.3 ± 4.2 mm) and of MRI (16.2 ± 3.7 mm and 16.5 ± 4.1 mm) was assessed by intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC [2,1]) and Bland-Altman graphs, as well as the interrater reliability for both methods. Results  Good reliability and agreement was observed between CT and MRI measurements for TT-TG and PT-CTG, with an ICC of 0.774 ( p  < 0.001) and 0.743 ( p  < 0.001), respectively, and no systematic bias was observed. The interrater reliability was excellent for all measurements on both imaging methods.
