Despite the increased adoption of online learning in higher education, there was limited knowledge about how the combination of online English synchronous learning with gamified applications and active learning impacted student self-regulation. This study used a sequential explanatory research design to investigate this integration in an English for Academic Communication course at a southern Thai university over a 12-week period. Data, including a Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) strategy survey, reflective essays, and course grades, were analyzed using descriptive statistics for quantitative data and thematic analysis for qualitative data. The findings showed that students heavily utilized SRL strategies, especially in Time Management and Environment Structuring, but there were differences in Goal Setting between the quantitative and qualitative results. Although there were strong positive correlations among SRL constructs, none of them were statistically significant in relation to course grades. Students expressed their desire for feedback, interactive learning, and a balanced workload in their ideal online English learning experience. This study provided insights into the integration of online English synchronous learning with gamification and active learning in higher education.

Purpose: Mathematical literacy and mathematical problem-solving are crucial abilities that link mathematics content to real life applications, facilitating both mathematics understanding and mathematical processes. The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the STEMEN (STEM and educational neuroscience) teaching model in enhancing mathematical literacy and problem-solving skills. Methodology: This study adopted a pre-test and post-test control group design. Among 156 Grade 9 students from a secondary school in Phayao, Thailand, 70 were randomly selected. The STEMEN teaching model was implemented in the experimental group, while the 5E teaching model, typically used in a normal classroom was employed in the control group. Two types of tests, namely the mathematical literacy test and the mathematical problem-solving test, were used as research instruments. Pre and post-data were collected from both the experimental and control groups. Repeated measures ANOVA with Wilks' lambda was employed to analyze the mean comparison for mathematical literacy and mathematical problem-solving. Findings: The findings revealed that the mean scores for mathematical literacy and mathematical problem-solving were relatively higher in the STEMEN teaching model group compared to the 5E teaching model group. These results provide insights into the effectiveness of the STEMEN teaching model in enhancing learning outcomes, particularly mathematical literacy and problem-solving in mathematics. Significance: The results of this study showed that the STEMEN teaching model was effective in increasing learning outcomes, including mathematical literacy and problem-solving. These outcomes should enable teachers to design effective and efficient instructional strategies for enhancing mathematical literacy and problem-solving in classrooms.

After the curriculum reforms from 2021 to 2023, public universities in Thailand have been adapting to integrate ICT and digital literacy into their teaching. This research explores the changes experienced by ICT teachers when integrating digital literacy with student teachers in English teacher education programs after the pandemic. During COVID-19, online learning was mandatory, necessitating significant adjustments. This study also investigates the challenges associated with these changes. The participants were six teachers from six public universities with firsthand experience with the revised curriculum from 2021 to 2023. Semi-structured interviews were used as the research instrument. The interview data were grouped into themes according to the degree of change and challenges encountered by the teachers. The findings showed four levels of changes due to the curriculum reforms: changing course names, descriptions, topics, and assessments. Along with these changes, the teachers faced several challenges: selecting appropriate ICT resources, insufficient digital literacy knowledge, the need for pedagogical adjustments, insufficient training and support, infrastructure limitations, and time constraints. The study suggests that universities should offer ongoing professional development to help teachers keep up with the changing digital literacy landscape. Additionally, institutional infrastructure and support need improvement. Teacher education programs should incorporate comprehensive training on using ICT in teaching, emphasizing practical applications. Future research should study the effectiveness of professional development models in enhancing teachers' ICT skills and their ability to integrate technology into their teaching. It should also identify the impact of collaborative teaching approaches on ICT integration in teacher education programs.

The objectives of this research were to: 1) develop online lessons with the Google Classroom application on computer system operation for secondary 2 (Grade 8) students; 2) study pre-test and post-test academic achievement; and 3) study the students' satisfaction with the online lessons with the Google Classroom application on computer system operation for secondary 2 (Grade 8) students. The sample consisted of 20 students from secondary 2 (Grade 8) studying computational science at Sappasamit Bamrung Municipal School. They were selected for purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of online lessons with the Google Classroom application, a quality evaluation guide towards media and content achievement tests, and evaluation forms of students' satisfaction. The data analysis statistics were the standard deviation and dependent sample t-tests. The research results indicated that: 1) the online lessons with the Google Classroom application on computer system operations had the quality of media at an excellent level with an average of 4.58, quality of contents with an average of 4.55, and efficiency criterion of 82/81. 2) The students had an average pre-test score of 17.40, while the satisfaction of students towards online lessons with Google Classroom application is at a high level." post-test was 24.35. The t-test analysis during and after learning was different at .05 statistically significant levels, and 3) students' satisfaction toward lessons with Google Classroom location at a high level of 4.49.

This research and development study aimed to develop the prototype of virtual learning implemented in flipped classrooms and evaluate its effectiveness as a tool for developing Thai undergraduates' English receptive skills. To assess if the designed prototype is effective, a quasi-experimental method was employed. The experimental sample group consisted of 40 undergraduates studying English as a required general education subject at a university in Thailand. They were purposively selected as their English proficiency level did not meet the university requirement of not lower than 600 of the TOEIC scores for graduation. The actual TOEIC tests as a pre- and post-tests, have been employed to examine if the prototype was effective. The collected data from pre- and post-tests were then analyzed through the t-Test and ANOVA. The results showed that the designed prototype applied in teaching and learning through the three online virtual platforms, namely Second Life, VRChat, and the ClassStart in the flipped classrooms was effective for developing students' English receptive skills, as the overall development of students' English receptive skills, both listening and reading, as shown from their post-test English TOEIC scores had significant development, showing that the post-test scores were higher than those of their pre-test's. Therefore, applying this prototype to language teaching and learning as a pedagogy is highly advised.

This study investigated the effects of a reading assistant software on the fluency and accuracy of speech production among EFL university students, employing a one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants included 50 Thai undergraduate English majors in their first and second years. Data were analyzed using paired samples t-tests to measure L2 oral fluency, specifically pruned speech rate (PSR) and mean length of run (MLR). Accuracy rate was assessed by quantifying the proportion of error-free clauses within the participants' speeches from the pretest and posttest and calculating the average number of error-free clauses per T-unit. Results indicated significant improvements in speech fluency, evidenced by longer uninterrupted speech segments, fewer disfluencies like filled pauses and repairs, and increased overall fluency. Additionally, the post-test showed a higher percentage of error-free clauses compared to the pretest, reflecting a substantial enhancement in grammatical accuracy. This suggests that the intervention had a positive impact on the participants' ability to produce grammatically accurate and error-free clauses. These outcomes suggest that the reading assistant software effectively enhances both the fluency and grammatical accuracy of speech production in EFL learners, underscoring its potential benefits in language education contexts.

The purpose of this current study is to explore the move structure presented in abstracts of the research articles from Thai Scopus Journals (TSJ) and Top-Ranked Scopus Journals (TRSJ) in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching. Ninety abstracts were analyzed and separated equally between those two journals. The five-move framework established by Hyland (2000) was used to analyze the move pattern, showing different dominant patterns: I-P-M-Pr-C in Thai Scopus Journals and P-M-Pr-C in Top-Ranked Scopus Journals respectively. In Thai Scopus Journal, the results indicated that the introduction is optional, the conclusion, purpose, and method are considered conventional, and the product is obligatory. Similarly, in Top-Ranked Scopus Journals, the product is obligatory, while the purpose, method, and conclusion are conventional. These findings could offer practical insights into abstract structures and hold importance for educational purposes, offering guidance for the effective writing of abstracts in research articles.

Previous studies on blended learning (BL) have explored students' satisfaction, perception, and motivation. However, there remains a notable gap in the literature concerning the impact of group collaboration on students' learning experiences within blended learning environments. Using a qualitative approach, this study explores what 30 Thai English as a foreign language (EFL) vocational students think about their blended learning environment and how working in groups improves their learning. Findings from the interviews revealed that group collaboration is crucial for communication, understanding the topic, completing tasks, and building relationships and trust among students. Specifically, the research highlights how collaborative efforts foster greater student engagement, accountability, and a sense of community within blended learning environments. It also contributes significantly to the existing body of knowledge, underscoring the essential nature of group collaboration within BL settings. The findings hold valuable implications for teachers, curriculum developers, and policymakers, suggesting avenues for leveraging blended learning and group collaboration to optimize language learning outcomes and enrich the overall educational experience for students.

The objective of this research is to examine teachers' competence in designing activities after engaging in professional development activities aimed at enhancing teaching design in order to develop students' thinking abilities that are contextually appropriate. The participants consist of 5 elementary school science teachers from schools. The research employed semi-structured interviews and classroom observation as research instruments. The findings reveal that teachers engaged in self-development through observation and learning from their peers within the community of practice (CoP). They receive advice and feedback from fellow teachers and apply these insights to improve their activities. Consequently, teachers are able to continuously refine and develop their teaching approaches to align with students' contexts. This approach facilitate diversification in thinking and learning management, as well as collaborative teamwork to enhance teaching methods. As a result, engaging and interesting thinking development activities are incorporated into student learning, along with the creation of a seamless learning-promoting environment. Collaborative teamwork in instructional design and problem-solving further afford teachers the opportunity for additional self-learning and personal development. This collaborative approach also contributes to fostering cognitive diversity and relieved the need for individual teachers to undertake all tasks independently.

Anxiety can affect learners' performance in several ways. It can be a helpful motivational tool to assist students in learning a language. At the same time, anxiety can become a serious factor in hindering language acquisition. This study examines the relationship between students' writing performance and anxiety levels across three different proficiency groups of students. The participants were fifty EFL students enrolled in a Business English Writing course, and the target writing genre was inquiries and acknowledgments of inquiry letters. The two main instruments used to collect data were students' writing samples and closed-ended questionnaires. The data were analyzed utilizing descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's coefficient correlation. This study showed a significant difference in writing anxiety between the high and the low-proficiency groups. In contrast, it was found that there were no statistically significant differences in anxiety between the high and the mid-proficiency groups. In addition, the study's outcomes indicated that the students' level of anxiety varied across the three groups of students. It was found that the students with a high level of anxiety performed less professionally than those with lower writing anxiety. The findings provide insights into teaching and learning writing, particularly into ways to decrease learners' anxiety and improve their learning outcomes.

Although technology has been seamlessly integrated into classroom teaching, there is room for improvement in the way professional development is implemented. The aim of this study was to explore the experiences of Thai teachers of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in implementing digital literacy training. Focusing on technologically illiterate teachers (and particularly older ones), the study aimed to investigate the production of online videos by these teachers to be used in their classrooms. The study was conducted in Trang, Thailand, and involved 36 Thai EFL teachers who underwent a one-month training programme in 2020. Data was collected through a questionnaire, observation, and interviews. The results showed that the participants required additional training time, and faced challenges such as teaching style, computer specifications, and Internet accessibility. Despite these challenges, the teachers reported a positive perceptions of teaching English with technology, and found it was easier than they had anticipated. These findings have pedagogical implications for future implementations of digital literacy training for somewhat technologically illiterate language teachers.

The COVID-19 pandemic compelled higher education institutions to adopt an alternative approach to learning. For mathematics education, supporting students through blended learning has become increasingly important as it will ensure students' learning is sustained in such a situation. This practical change has illuminated how cloud technology can be employed in mathematics education to improve the instruction process. Using a cloud classroom blended learning-instructional framework for integrating educational cloud tools into mathematics teaching, this study analysed students' metacognitive ability in mathematical problem-solving. A pre-experimental research using a one group pre-test-post-test design was conducted. The sample comprised sixty undergraduate mathematics students enrolled on a Numerical Analysis course. Sample selection was carried out using a simple random sampling technique. Data were analysed using a descriptive analysis, parametric tests, and n-gain. The results revealed that, firstly, the majority of students (90%) achieved a post-test score of metacognitive ability in mathematical problem-solving -- this exceeded the 60% threshold. Secondly, students' post-test score of metacognitive ability in mathematical problem-solving (mean score of 82.14, S.D. = 8.29) increased significantly compared to the pre-test score (mean score of 73.54, S.D. = 8.38). Further, the effect size was large. Thirdly, there was an enhancement of metacognitive ability in the mathematical problem-solving of students with a mean n-gain of 0.34, which is in the moderate category. Thus, cloud classroom blended learning significantly improved metacognitive ability in mathematical problem-solving among undergraduate students. Educators can apply the results to assess mathematics learning in order to improve the quality of metacognitive ability in mathematical problem-solving.

This analysis dissects a piece of information into its parts and determines how they interact in constructing a concept. This study focuses on enhancing the analytical thinking skills of grade 6 students in science and technology courses by implementing inquiry-based learning management. The aim is to meet the minimum requirement of 70 percent and assess student satisfaction with the approach. This work follows a classroom action research approach involving planning, action, observation, and reflection steps. The target group comprises 25 grade 6 students studying in the first semester of the 2022 academic year at an elementary school in Northeast Thailand, selected through purposive sampling. The research tools include six 5E inquiry-based learning plans, an analytical thinking skills test, and a satisfaction questionnaire. Data collection involves implementing the learning plan in two operational cycles, conducting analytical thinking tests, and administering satisfaction questionnaires. The collected data are analyzed to determine achievement levels and satisfaction ratings. The statistics used are mean, standard deviation, and percentage. The findings from the first operational cycle indicate that 76.0% of students did not meet the evaluation criteria. After the second operational cycle, the mean score improved, and all students met the assessment criteria of 70.0%. Overall, the inquiry based learning approach has the potential to enhance analytical thinking skills, and student satisfaction levels were generally positive. These findings highlight the importance of incorporating effective learning management strategies, such as analytical thinking, to improve students' higher-order thinking skills.

The purpose of this study was to: 1) study the components and indicators of being quality organization of Phrapariyattidhamma School, General Education Department, in the Northeast, and 2) evaluate the suitability of the components and indicators of being quality organization of Phrapariyattidhamma School, General Education Department, in the Northeast. The phases were divided into 2: 1) studying documents and related works on the components of being quality organization and synthesize received data of components of being quality organization with 7 experts, and 2) evaluating the suitability of components and indicators of being quality organization employing suitability test verified by the experts on question details. The data analysis was by computer program using Rating Scale, Average, and Standard Deviation. The findings of the study were found that the components and indicators of being quality organization Phrapariyattidhamma School, General Education Department, in the Northeast contained 5 components and 43 indicators: 1) 9 indicators of quality learners, 2) 8 indicators of professional teachers, 3) 9 indicators of high-performance school, 4) 5 indicators of strategic management, 5) 8 indicators of community cooperation and the results of the overall evaluation of the components and indicators were at a higher level.

The purposes of this article were: 1) to study the current condition, the need for developing a growth mindset to strengthen the learning management of primary school teachers, and 2) to study guidelines for developing a growth mindset to strengthen learning management among primary school teachers under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. There were 2 stages of research: Step 1: Study the current conditions. It is necessary to develop a growth mindset to strengthen the learning management of primary school teachers. The sample consisted of 427 primary school teachers in the academic year 2022 derived by multi-stage sampling. Step 2: Study ways to develop a growth mindset to strengthen learning management among primary school teachers under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. The group of informants is qualified by studying the best practices of 5 persons by specific sampling. The research instruments were: 1) a 5-level estimation scale questionnaire, 2) a semi-structured interview form, and 3) a 5-level estimation scale development guidelines assessment form. Statistics used to analyze data include means, standard deviations, priority sorting of PNI[subscript modified] data, and content analysis. The results of the research showed that: 1) the overall current condition and the overall aspect are moderate, and the overall desirable conditions are substantial. It was found that the growth mindset strengthens teachers' learning management. There is a need for development in all 6 areas. In order: Learning efforts, Acceptance of failures, Acceptance of criticism, Learning challenges, Development paradigms, and Motivation for success; 2) Approaches to developing a growth mindset to strengthen the learning management of primary school teachers under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. This can be done by developing all 6 items and 20 approaches. There are development methods that consist of workshops, and learning from other people. Integration in operations, Self-study, Building a professional learning community, Counselor, and Mentoring.

This study introduces a novel learning management model aimed at enhancing Thai language proficiency in sixth-grade students. Confronting challenges such as inadequate teaching resources and a lack of student-centric, practical activities in current Thai language education, this model integrates six key components: foundational principles and theories, clear objectives, diverse learning processes, social systems, responsive teaching, and supportive resources. The approach emphasizes student engagement, self-directed learning, critical thinking, and applicability in real-life situations. Employing a rigorous research and development (R&D) methodology, the study involved analyzing existing educational conditions, developing the instructional model, assessing its impact, and seeking expert validation. The model demonstrated substantial improvements in students' knowledge, skills, and attributes, as evidenced by the effectiveness index (E.I.) and expert assessments. These evaluations confirmed the model's suitability, practicality, and beneficial impact on language proficiency. The results indicate that integrating self-directed learning, experiential activities, and collaborative techniques significantly enhances language skills. The study underscores the need for adaptive learning strategies, varied instructional media, and comprehensive assessment methods. The model's success in improving national test scores showcases its potential applicability and effectiveness in diverse educational settings. This research contributes a validated, effective framework for Thai language teaching, highlighting experiential learning, social collaboration, and the integration of ICT. Its successful application in Thai educational contexts suggests its potential for broader adoption in primary language education globally.

The present study explores the perspectives and instructional approaches adopted by five university English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers in Thailand about using translanguaging pedagogy in monolingual English instruction. Examining the concept of translanguaging pedagogy and framed in an exploratory-descriptive qualitative research design through individual interviews, the findings emphasize the significance of acknowledging students' first language, emphasizing the favorable opinions of the participants toward the use of translanguaging in English language classrooms. The findings also demonstrate that translanguaging pedagogy serves as a scaffolding mechanism, enabling students to leverage their pre-existing linguistic abilities to enhance their proficiency in the English language. This study makes a valuable contribution to the existing body of research on translanguaging pedagogy, as it does not only place importance on students' linguistic and cultural backgrounds, fostering a classroom environment that is safe and inclusive, but it also emphasizes the significance of language teachers recognizing and accepting the coexistence of translanguaging pedagogy in classrooms where English monolingual policies are mandated. We discuss the implications and offer research recommendations.

Research objectives were to 1) investigate the current state and best practice of the instruction relying on flipped learning; 2) develop the instructional model based on flipped using technology-based learning to enhance the digital literacy for undergraduate students of Rajabhat University and 3) examine the effects of the model. The sample for fulfilling the 1st objective contained 119 instructors teaching educational technology or related fields within the faculty, 397 students, and 10 experts. Data were collected through 60 first-year students and three types of research tools: the developed model, a test of digital literacy, and a satisfaction questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, that is, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and t-test were employed in data analysis. The research findings were as follows: 1) The current state of the instruction resulted from the instructors was found to be at an overall lower level (M = 2.43, SD = 0.63) as well as of the students (M = 2.46, SD = 0.65). The participants reflected that the best practice of the instruction included the flipped learning model and learning processes using technologies. 2) The developed model consisted of principle; objectives; learning processes; media, technologies and learning sources; and evaluation. Flipped learning included online and on-site approaches. Learning processes included 6 stages: making knowing learning process; studying from technologies and online learning sources; reflecting and questioning memos; exchanging knowledge; producing tasks; and evaluating. 3) The results of using the developed model showed that 3.1) digital literacy of the students after learning was found to be significantly higher than that of before the study at 0.05; 2) digital literacy of the students in the experiment group was found to be significantly higher than that of the control group at 0.05; and 3) students' satisfaction was found to be positively highest level (M = 4.81, SD = 0.22).

The aims of this research are to: (1) study the conditions for fostering ethical leadership in the 21st century among school administrators. Under the jurisdiction of the Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office, Area 2, Thailand; and (2) propose guidelines for strengthening ethical leadership in the 21st century of educational institution administrators. Under the Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office, Area 2, Thailand, this is descriptive research. The group of informants in the research were nine school administrators using purposive sampling. The research instrument was a semi-structured interview form. Data were analysed using content analysis. The research results found that: (1) Conditions for enhancing ethical leadership in the 21st century among educational institution administrators. Under the jurisdiction of the Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, Thailand, it was found that the conditions for fostering ethical leadership in the 21st century among school administrators have 6 elements, consisting of: (1) justice; (2) honesty; (3) respect for others. Other (4) Responsibility; (5) Kindness; (6) Self-control; and (2) Guidelines for enhancing ethical leadership in the 21st century among school administrators. Under the jurisdiction of the Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office, Area 2, Thailand, it was found that there should be guidelines for strengthening for educational institution administrators. By applying the principles of good governance Adhere to the principles of morality, ethics, adhere to the principles of democracy. Use the rule of law in complying with various laws and regulations with transparency. Honest Can be checked transparently. Adhere to the principles of participation Respect others Be responsible in your duties Know how to control yourself Limited resources are used efficiently. Set a good example in working so that work is efficient and effective.

This research article aims to (1) study the digital leadership of educational institution administrators under the Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office, Area 2, Thailand (2) study the effectiveness of academic work in the new normal era of administrators under the Sukhothai Educational Service Area Office, Area 2, Thailand. Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, Thailand and (3) study the relationship between digital leadership of school administrators and academic work effectiveness in the new normal era under the Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, Thailand. This is quantitative research. The sample group is educational institution administrators. and academic teachers of affiliated educational institutions Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, 230 people. The research tool is a questionnaire on digital leadership of school administrators and academic effectiveness in the new normal era. It is a 5-level rating scale questionnaire. Data is analysed using basic statistics to find the average. and standard deviation and the relationship was analysed using the Pearson correlation coefficient. The results of the research found that (1) the digital leadership of educational institution administrators under the Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office, Area 2, Thailand is overall at a high level; (2) academic work effectiveness in the new normal era of administrators under the district office Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, Thailand, overall is at the highest level, and (3) the relationship between digital leadership of school administrators and academic work effectiveness in the new normal era under the Office of Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area 2, Thailand, was found. that there is a statistically significant relationship at the 0.01 level

Each year, nursing schools spend more on classroom supplies at the nursing lab to help nursing students develop their practical skills before clinical internships. To teach nursing students how to prepare for their experience in the clinic, the nursing school needs to purchase a variety of teaching tools. The objective of this study was to create a low-cost model of a newborn and umbilical cord so that nursing students could practice cutting severing newborns' umbilical cords in the nursing laboratory until they were proficient before entering the delivery department to care for newborns. The newborn and umbilical cord in a low-cost model was created in association with the nursing and engineering faculties. We created the differences between the original newborn model and the newborn and umbilical cord in a low-cost model: The newborn and umbilical cord in a low-cost model can move its limbs and use the remote to control the operation, in contrast to the original newborn model which can't move and doesn't cry. Data were collected from expert interviews and newborn and umbilical cord model tests using an assessment form. Data were analyzed using Descriptive statistics and content analysis. The newborn and umbilical cord model is made from a hose that is cheaper and simple to cut, it is like a real umbilical cord so we can make our mannequins at a very low cost and effective. Newborn and umbilical cord in a low-cost model can be used in practice. Reduce the cost of ordering teaching supplies.

The objectives of this research are to develop and study the effectiveness of the developed instructional model based on the professional learning community process and work-based learning in enhancing classroom research competencies. The sample groups used in the research were 32 third-year students of the Bachelor of Education Program in Teaching Chinese Language and English Language Teaching, selected by purposive sampling, from students who were preparing for teaching in educational schools. The data collection tools used in the research include; 1) a pre-test and a post-test, which are the same test with 25 multiple-choice questions (4 choices each) and complete worksheets 1-9. Statistics used in data analysis included mean, standard deviation, and t-test for dependent., the results indicate that the instructional model based on the professional learning community process and work-based learning to enhance classroom research competency called the PCW Model, consists of 4 important elements: 1) principles of the model, 2) objectives of the model, 3) steps of the model, and 4) measurement and evaluation of the model. Regarding the study on the effectiveness of the model; this indicates that after using the instructional model based on the professional learning community process and work-based learning to enhance classroom research competency, the students' classroom research competency was significantly higher than before at the 0.01 level.

This research aims to compare the social studies curricula of Thailand and New York State, USA, analyze their similarities and differences, and propose guidelines for improving the Thai social studies curriculum. The study employed a qualitative research methodology, using documentary analysis of the Thai Basic Education Core Curriculum B.E. 2551 (Revised B.E. 2560) in the social studies, religion, and culture learning area, and the New York State K-12 Social Studies Framework. The findings revealed that the social studies curricula of Thailand and New York State differ in many aspects, including their fundamental philosophies, goals for student development, curriculum structures, learning content, and instructional approaches. The Thai curriculum emphasizes cultivating morally good citizens with a love for the nation, while the New York curriculum focuses on developing knowledgeable, skilled citizens who actively participate in a democratic society. In today's rapidly changing world, the development of Thailand's social studies curriculum should foster 21st-century skills, digital citizenship, and a sense of global citizenship among learners while maintaining Thai identity and values. Policy-level recommendations include creating a new vision, designing a flexible curriculum, developing online platforms, and integrating artificial intelligence. At the practical level, suggestions include creating community learning innovations, using the city as a classroom, developing a competency-based curriculum, and building learning communities with local partners.

The objective of this article is to synthesize the components of entrepreneurial orientation of higher education student using a systematic literature review methodology. Information was sought by searching the following electronic journal databases: 1) Eric (Education Resources Information Center), 2) Science Direct, 3) Scopus, and 4) Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) covering publications from 2015 to 2023. The tool used in this systematic literature review consists of 3 parts: research screening form, critical appraisal form and data extraction table. Research selection is carried out by researchers and experts. Analyzing data by using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, and summary analysis of content. The research results indicate that out of a total of 1,205 studies identified, only 13 met the criteria. The researchers selected the components of entrepreneurial orientation of higher education student level that occurred with a frequency of three or more, constituting 25 percent of the total frequency. In conclusion, the components of entrepreneurial orientation of higher education student consists of 5 elements, ranked from highest to least frequent, as follows: 1) Risk Taking, 2) Innovativeness, 3) Proactiveness, 4) Autonomy, and 5) Competitive Aggressiveness.

Purpose: This article examines the use of English medium instruction (EMI) for teaching Japanese as a foreign language (JFL) by non-native speakers with a focus on multilingual classrooms. It also explores teachers' positive and negative beliefs about using EMI in classroom settings for JFL instruction. Methods and procedure: 274 non-native Japanese language teachers from around the world (57 countries) voluntarily participated in a survey, answering a questionnaire on Google Forms and Jotform. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were employed. The research instrument was piloted before the main study and was found to be effective and adequate to elicit the desired data. The research questions aimed to identify whether there were any relationships between the use of EMI and the multilingual classroom. Findings: The results showed a clear correlation between the extensive use of EMI and the multilingual character of JFL classrooms. Translanguaging turned out to be a common practice adopted by non-native Japanese teachers regardless of the primary language of instruction. The article concludes that EMI can be a valuable tool for JFL instruction in multilingual classrooms. Based on the investigation of the teachers' beliefs, the results showed a changing positive attitude towards English employed in JFL classrooms. Implications for research and practice: The findings can be used to further investigate EMI in JFL instructional practices in multilingual classrooms, improve the quality of JFL instruction and facilitate the integration of multilingual education into foreign language teaching. Future research can explore the effectiveness of EMI in different JFL contexts and investigate the impact of EMI on students' language learning outcomes.

This qualitative study aimed to examine the perceptions of students participating in hybrid overseas courses through Zoom application and in-house face to face abroad regarding the development of language skills, digital literacies, cultural adaptation, confidence, and motivation. 96 students engaging in such courses were selected from a pool of 300 individuals using multiple-stage random sampling, with the effect and size of this selection process calculated using G*Power. The researcher utilized semi-structured interview questions, segmented into five distinct components, to delve into participants' perceptions. These interview items were theoretically crafted by the researcher to align with the context of Thai students. Before conducting the interviews, three experts in language education and educational technology evaluated the interview items using the Index of Item Objective Congruence (IOC). Subsequently, the researcher transcribed the interview recordings, facilitating the conversion of raw data into coherent, aggregated units (Coffey & Atkinson, 1996). This transcribed data underwent a coding process and was subsequently organized into overarching themes. The findings unveiled that the participants perceived their engagement in the hybrid courses as significantly beneficial. They considered these programs instrumental in fostering language development, enhancing digital literacy, facilitating adaptation to diverse cultures, and cultivating increased confidence and motivation.

The purposes of this research aimed to develop and validate the suitability, possibility and benefits of strategies implementation, and create a user manual of the strategies of quality community schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. This study was conducted in five phases. The first phase was the intensive review of the components of quality community schools using relevant documents, research analysis and multiple case studies of the outstanding quality community schools, and an interview with experts. The second phase was the exploration of the needs of the development of quality community schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission using a 5-rating scale questionnaire to explore the current condition and desirable condition of 192 administrators and the head of academic affairs department of schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. The participants were selected using multi-stage sampling. The third phase was the development of the quality community school development strategies through focus group discussion of nine qualified experts and scholars. The fourth phase was the validation of suitability, possibility and benefits of the quality community school development strategies by 7 participants of experts and stakeholders of the quality community schools. And the last phase was creating and validating the user manual of the strategies implementation. Statistics used in data analysis were mean, standard deviation, percentage and Priority Needs Index (PNI[subscript modified]).

This study investigates elementary school teachers' perceptions of the appropriate proportions of cartoons for instructional purposes, with a focus on the Thai educational context. The research aims to shed light on teachers' preferences for cartoon proportions across different grade levels, contributing valuable insights into the effective use of cartoons in elementary school instruction. A questionnaire-based approach was employed to gather data from 78 elementary school teachers. The study found that teachers held a positive perception of cartoons as effective tools for teaching primary school students, with participants favoring distinct cartoon proportions for different grade levels. Notably, larger cartoon scales were preferred for early grades (Grade 1 and Grade 2), while smaller scales found favor with older students in Grades 4, 5, and 6. These findings highlight the nuanced considerations educators make when integrating cartoons into their instructional materials and underscore the potential of cartoons to enhance the quality of elementary school education.

Mastering writing in English is crucial for English as a foreign language (EFL) learners; nevertheless, they encounter numerous difficulties, such as idea development, grammar complexities, vocabulary range, or even the pressure from writing anxiety. Consequently, many educators employ digital writing tools to enhance EFL learners' English writing skills. This study aimed to explore Thai EFL university students' perceptions of two digital writing tools, Paragraph Punch and ProWritingAid, as well as to investigate students' writing performance. Participants consisted of 53 undergraduate EFL students enrolled in English education at a university in Thailand. Three research instruments were utilized: a 30-item questionnaire investigating participants' perceptions of writing problems, a pre- and post-writing test assessing students' writing development, and a semi-structured interview exploring students' views on integrating digital writing tools in writing classes. The questionnaire findings emphasized various challenges students encountered in writing, including difficulties with idea development, grammar, and paragraph organization. The research further indicated a significant enhancement in students' writing abilities after using digital writing tools. Additionally, students perceived that the improvements in their writing proficiency were due to the supportive guidance and real-time feedback provided by these digital writing tools. Nevertheless, there were concerns regarding excessive dependency on digital tools, the need for supplementary teacher feedback, and technological barriers.

Problem-posing has been recognized for enhancing students' engagement, problem-solving skills, and mathematical knowledge, which leads to higher mathematics achievement. This research is experimental research with a randomized comparison groups pre-test and post-test design, which aims to examine the effect of using online problem-posing to develop students' mathematics achievement during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand. Sixty electrical engineering students of Rajamangala University participated in this study. The research instruments included a mathematics problem-posing lesson plan and a mathematics achievement test. The participants were tested for mathematics achievement before and after attending the programs. The result indicated a statistically significant difference in the mathematics post-test mean scores between the experimental and control groups. The experimental group gained higher mathematics achievement than the control group. Therefore, it is recommended that the problem-posing be used in teaching mathematics to the students.

This study explores the effectiveness of online Chinese language courses, focusing on the development of listening comprehension and Mandarin pinyin pronunciation skills among Chinese language students at the Faculty of Education, Uttaradit Rajabhat University. Utilizing a systematic approach, the research employed a pre-test and post-test design to evaluate the impact of the instructional methods on students' language abilities. Significant improvements were observed in both listening comprehension and pronunciation skills post-intervention, as evidenced by statistical analysis. Moreover, the study gauges students' satisfaction with the online learning experience, revealing high levels of contentment regarding course content, accessibility, and instructional delivery. The research outcomes have demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in the skills assessed. Students' scores in listening comprehension and Mandarin pinyin pronunciation substantially increased from pre-instruction to post-instruction. Specifically, the average scores in listening comprehension improved from 16.45 to 24.50, while pronunciation scores rose from 10.85 to 16.30, both evidencing significant advancements with a significance level of 0.05. These results underscore the effectiveness of the online Chinese language courses in enhancing students' linguistic capabilities.

The purposes of research were to comparison of digital technology used for the instructional management during the COVID-19 pandemic during the New Normal period and the endemic COVID-19 during Next Normal period adopted by pre-service teachers; and to develop the landscape of digital technology used for instructional management during the New Normal and the Next Normal periods adopted by pre-service teachers. The participants included 400 pre-service teachers. The research tool was an online questionnaire. The data were analyzed by mean and standard deviation. The results showed the comparison of digital technology for the instructional management in the New Normal and the Next Normal as follows. Regarding the New Normal, the finding were: (a) some websites and applications such as Google Meet, Line, YouTube, and Facebook Messenger were used to communication with students; (b) some websites and applications, namely Google classroom, MS Teams, Moodle, and Thaimooc were used to send and receive student's works; (c) some learning management systems, namely Google classroom, MS Teams, Moodle, and Thaimooc were used; (d) some digital media libraries such as YouTube, Trueplookpanya, DLTV, Satellite Distance Education Foundation, SciMath Knowledge Library, and IPST were used; (e) some online measurement and evaluation tools such as Google Forms, Kahoot, Quizizz, and Microsoft Forms were used and (f) some teaching guidelines and tools, like Video assignment, General Activities, and Attendance be used later. Regarding the Next Normal, the finding were: (a) some websites and applications were used to communicate with students, including Line, Facebook, Messenger, Youtube and Google classroom; (b) some websites and applications like Line, Facebook Messenger, YouTube, and Google classroom were used to send and receive student's assignments; (c) some learning management systems like Google classroom, MS Teams, Moodle, Edmodo, and Thaimooc were also used; (d) some digital media libraries like Google classroom, YouTube, Trueplookpanya, OBEC Content Center -- NEDA, and DLTV (Satellite Distance Education Foundation) were also helpful; (e) some online measurement and evaluation tools like Google Forms, Kahoot, Quizizz, and Microsoft Forms were also used; and (f) some teaching guidelines and tools like Assignment, Announcements and Update, Student Support, and Grade Book will also be used later. The digital technology landscape consists of 6 parts: (1) the websites and applications used for communication with students; (2) the websites and applications provides for students to submit their assignments; (3) the learning management systems; (4) the digital media libraries; (5) the online measurement and evaluation tools; and (6) the teaching guidelines and tools to be used later.

This research aimed to: 1) investigate the components and indicators of school administration under the Office of the Basic Education Commission of Thailand according to the King's Philosophy; 2) examine the current state, desired state, and the needs of school administration under the Office of the Basic Education Commission of Thailand according to the King's Philosophy. The research is divided into 2 phrases. Phase 1: examine the components and indicators of the school administration under the Office of the Basic Education Commission of Thailand according to the King's Philosophy, targeting a qualified group of 9 experts selected through purposive sampling. This selection is based on the appropriateness assessment using the components and indicators evaluation form. Phase 2: examine the current state, desired state, and the needs of school administration under the Office of the Basic Education Commission of Thailand according to the King's Philosophy. The sample group comprises 320 school administrators selected through multi-stage random sampling and applying the table of Krejcie and Morgan. The data were collected through semi-structured interview form and questionnaire with a 5-level Likert scale. Average, standard deviation, Priority Needs Index (PNI[subscript modified]) and content analysis were used to analyze the data. The findings of the study revealed the following: 1. There are 4 components and 30 indicators of school administration under the Office of the Basic Education Commission of Thailand according to the King's Philosophy categorized as follows: 1) academic administration with 10 indicators, 2) financial administration with 5 indicators, 3) personnel administration with 4 indicators, and 4) general administration with 11 indicators. Overall, the proficiency level is rated as the highest. 2. The current state is rated as the moderate level, and the desired state is at the highest level. When assessing the needs of school administration under the Office of the Basic Education Commission of Thailand according to the King's Philosophy, it is found that the component with the highest need is general administration. This is followed by personnel administration, financial administration, and academic administration, with the lowest index of essential needs respectively.

This study investigates the development and efficacy of a multilingual tourism application designed to enhance tourism development in Mahasarakham Province, Thailand, focusing particularly on its utility for foreign students due to the region's educational allure and cultural heritage. The application features a comprehensive suite of services, including weather information, personalized travel recommendations, navigational assistance, and detailed local guides covering dining, healthcare, lodging, cultural practices, and historical insights, thereby distinguishing it from conventional tourism apps. The results of the study reveal significant outcomes. Expert evaluations yielded a Content Validity ratio (Content validity) of 0.86, indicating high relevance and accuracy of the app's content. The application's Reliability stood at 0.91, reflecting its consistency and dependability. Additionally, the Objectivity score was 0.80, suggesting the app's impartiality and fairness in presenting information. These results affirm the application's effectiveness in providing a reliable, accurate, and user-friendly resource for enhancing tourists' experiences while promoting cultural understanding and economic development within Mahasarakham Province.

Education plays a pivotal role in societal development and nation-building, particularly in the 21st century, marked by rapid changes and globalization. Ensuring quality education that meets the needs of both the job market and national development is paramount for Thailand's vision of becoming a "Stable, Prosperous, and Sustainable Country" as outlined in its 20-year National Strategy (2018-2037). Within this framework, the Primary Educational Service Area Offices in the Office of the Basic Education Commission are tasked with providing essential educational services. However, various challenges, including resource inadequacy and service delivery issues, hinder their effectiveness. This research aims to investigate the components of the excellent service provision of the Primary Educational Service Area Offices in the Office of the Basic Education Commission, along with analysing the desired conditions, and the essential needs for providing excellent service. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, including literature review, expert consultations, questionnaire development, and data analysis. The research methodology has been conducted in two phases. Phase 1 of the research focuses on identifying the components of excellent service provision through a literature review and expert consultations. Six core components, including (1) the Development of Personnel Service Providers, (2) the Development of Service Procedures, (3) the Relationships Management with Service Recipients, (4) the Service Quality, (5) the Establishment of Service Culture, and (6) the Service Environment, Technology and Facilities, are identified and validated by the nine qualified experts. Phase 2 involves assessing the current conditions, the desired conditions, and the essential needs for service provision. Data collected from a sample group of 620 individuals across 124 Primary Educational Service Area Offices reveal high levels of current conditions and the highest levels of the desired conditions. The most essential need identified is the Development of Personnel Service Providers. The findings suggest that policies should be implemented to promote the development of personnel service providers and support the implementation of identified components for excellent service provision. Additionally, further qualitative research is recommended to compare service levels among different educational service areas and develop tailored models for excellent service provision.

The objectives of this research were (1) to develop the experiential learning management model to develop career skills for primary school students, and (2) to evaluate the effectiveness of the experiential learning management model. The sample was divided into two groups: (1) the sample used to evaluate the appropriateness of the learning management model, namely 5 experts in learning management model development and career skills development of students, were obtained by purposive sampling; (2) the sample used to evaluate the effectiveness of the learning management model consisted of 30 students in grade 6 of Ban Khek Noi School, which obtained by simple random sampling. Data analysis statistics were mean, standard deviation, and repeated measure ANOVA. Research findings showed that (1) the experiential learning management model was appropriate at a high level; (2) the students career skills after using the learning management model at a very good level; and (3) the post-career skills scores of the students who learned from the experiential learning management model were significantly higher than their pre-career skills score at the 0.05 level.

The concept of reflection is probably as old as educational discourse itself. It is an inextricable element of teaching and learning that enables teachers to identify and solve problems related to their teaching practice or learn more about various aspects of their profession. Therefore, to fully prepare reflective language practitioners, it is essential for reflection to be embedded in teacher education programmes in English Language Teaching (ELT). With this in mind, the current contribution begins by operationalising the concept of reflective practice and describing reflective practitioners. It then presents models of reflective teaching, synthesises previous research on reflective practice, and lists several benefits of this type of practice. The article concludes with a proposal for embedding reflective teaching into undergraduate teacher education programmes in ELT in Thailand, including a set of useful activities that will engage pre-service English language teachers in deep reflection on various aspects of their future teaching careers.

This study aimed to construct a causal relationship model of factors influencing communication arts students' qualification for sustainability communication (SC), examine the goodness-of-fit model with empirical data, and analyze the effect size of the causal relationship model in terms of influencing factors. Data were collected from 400 communication arts students using a set of questionnaires rated on a five-point scale. The results were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 and LISREL version 8.80 to determine the causal relationship model. The findings revealed that the construct of the causal relationship model of factors influencing SC of these students comprised four latent variables measured from 12 observed variables. Moreover, the influencing factors were consistent with the empirical data at a good level considering the accordance index, which consisted of x2 = 13.153, df = 25, p-Value = 0.974, RMSEA = 0.000, Standardized RMR = 0.006, GFI = 0.996, and AGFI = 0.979. The causal relationship model of the factors affecting SC revealed that education sustainable development could have direct, indirect, and total effects; the knowledge-based journalist concept could have direct, indirect, and total effects; and communication art principles could have direct and total effects, respectively.

Language reflects how people think and behave in their culture. To have successful conversations, both language use and cultural awareness should be taken into consideration. Undeniably, Japanese grammar is different from Thai making it even harder for Thai learners to have fluent and appropriate conversations in the Japanese language. In the classroom, typically teachers often focus on grammar, leaving less time for students to practice conversation. Consequently, beginner learners often miss cultural details in conversations and are unable to communicate effectively. Thus, it is important for teachers to immerse students in the Japanese culture to improve their speaking skills and cultural understanding. In so doing, Coordinated Management of Meaning (CMM) and Reader's Theater (RT) were integrated and used to aid beginners in understanding language contexts in order to help users grasp conversational contexts and interlocutors, and use scripted practices to simulate real-life scenarios. This study aims to investigate the impact of an instructional model based on CMM and RT on improving oral communication skills in Thai beginner-level Japanese learners. The study employed an experimental design with 11th-grade Japanese-major students from a secondary school in Bangkok, involving 48 classes over 16 weeks. Instruments included a Japanese oral communication skills test and video-recorded classroom observations. Descriptive statistics, the Wilcoxon signed-rank test were used to analyze quantitative data, and thematic analysis was used to analyze qualitative data. The results showed a significant improvement in post-test scores compared to pre-tests. Moreover, the model has raised students' phonetics awareness. Phonetic features like short and long sounds, pauses, and flapping received more attention. Interestingly, they adapted Japanese pronunciation for Thai or English words enhancing communication with native speakers and avoided using personal pronouns like "anata" opting to address interlocutors by name, adhering to Japanese cultural norms. This instructional model effectively improved both linguistic and cultural competences in Japanese language learners.

Through the lens of conversational analysis (CA), humor or funniness is not an inherent property of a message, nor an internal state of any social action, but as something interactionally achieved (Glenn, 2003). Teachers are often encouraged to utilize humor to reduce anxiety, lower affective filters, and make language more "memorable" (Bell, 2005; Tarone, 2000; Ziyaeemehr et al., 2011). In the current research endeavor, we focused on an activity called "Drama and Creativity," an extracurricular activity which is offered to firstyear undergraduate students at a public university in Thailand. During the activity, students worked in groups of three to four to collaboratively create a role-play which they later performed in front of their peers. Twenty-four students participated in the activity, and a total of seven role-plays were video-recorded. The goal of this study was to offer evidence of student achievements of humor construction in an EFL classroom context. We analyzed the sequences where laughter occurred in the data and identified linguistic and sociolinguistic resources that students used to construct incongruity and project laughable tokens in their role-play performances. The findings revealed that students were able to mobilize category-bound practices (Housley & Fitzgerald, 2015), embodied gestures, and activity-bound expectations to create unexpectedness which resulted in laughter among the audience.

In recent years, there has been growing interest in the use of data-driven learning (DDL) in L2 writing instruction. This paper examined whether and to what extent DDL activities could enhance the writing complexity, accuracy, and fluency (CAF) of 30 Thai EFL learners. The presentation of DDL in this study was hands-on concordancing with the assistance of the Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA). The study was held in the context of an English writing workshop focusing on opinion paragraphs, divided into two phases: four weeks for the pattern-hunting activities and two weeks for the pattern-refining activities. Applying the CAF Profile of Larsen-Freeman (2006), the pretest and posttest writings were analyzed. The results showed that DDL can enhance learners' writing lexical complexity, accuracy, and fluency, whereas no statistically significant evidence was found in terms of grammatical complexity. Furthermore, the results from the questionnaire and the interview indicated that the learners had positive attitudes towards DDL as a useful reference resource to enhance their vocabulary acquisition, refine their writing, revise their compositions, generate fresh ideas for writing, and boost their writing confidence. These findings underscore the potential of DDL as a pedagogical tool in L2 writing instruction.

English oral communication becomes essential, especially for business English students since their future careers require a good command of English. The purposes of this study were to determine if the integration of flipped learning and three types of role-plays (i.e., scripted, semi-scripted, and non-scripted) could enhance English oral communication performance of business English students and to investigate the students' perceptions towards the approach. This quasi-experimental mixed-methods research with a two-group pre-test-post-test design was conducted with 68 fourth-year business English undergraduates at a public university in Thailand. The participants were divided into a control group (n = 38) and an experimental group (n = 30). Data were collected using the oral communication performance pre-test and post-test, a perception questionnaire, and a semi-structured interview. The findings showed that the participants' post-test mean score was higher than the pre-test mean score with statistical significance (p [less than or equal to] 0.05), which indicated that the intervention was effective in enhancing English oral communication performance of the participants. Moreover, a positive perception towards the use of the model was revealed. The findings of this study contribute to the growing body of knowledge on effective instructional approaches to develop oral communication performance of EFL business English students.

This study aimed to investigate the lexical competence of English-major EFL students. The learner corpus comprised 552 pieces of writing by sophomore English majors during five academic years between 2017 and 2021, containing 190,506words in total. The results from Vocab Profile program showed that these students used words contained in the academic wordlist (AWL) at lower rates than what has been suggested by experts. This is probably because they were in their second year studying their first writing course. With less exposure to higher level English, they might not have developed an advanced vocabulary repertoire. However, when considering the AWL words used in each type of paragraph, it was found that the students used AWL words to a higher degree in comparison contrast, cause-effect, and problem-solution paragraphs, suggesting that the type of paragraphs can affect the lexical level of the students. When considering the British National Corpus/Corpus of Contemporary American English(BNC/COCA) lexical level, the words used were mostly in Base List 1, Base List 2, and Base List 3, respectively. The results from Vocab Profile program indicated that they used vocabulary at a very typical level compared to non-English majors, suggesting that they needed more input to stimulate them to use higher vocabulary levels in other advanced writing courses to attain an effective vocabulary level upon completion of the program of studies

The present study investigated the effects of gamified grammar and vocabulary learning using Kahoot!, Quizizz, and Quizlet on learning performance, motivation, enjoyment, anxiety, and classroom dynamics and engagement in an English course. The investigation also involved the effects of gamified learning on gender, proficiency, and learning outcomes. Gamified learning was implemented for eight weeks, consisting of Cycle 1 (grammar) and Cycle 2 (vocabulary). Data were collected using survey questionnaires, grammar and vocabulary tests, and English proficiency tests. The results indicated high positive effects on the five survey constructs and significant increases were noted for learning motivation and classroom dynamics and engagement while reducing learning anxiety. The effects remained constant for female and male students, yet high-level students would likely enjoy and be engaged more in gamified learning than low-level students. Despite these highly perceived effects, they were not significant predictors of students' grammar learning outcomes. Only the degrees of students' learning enjoyment and anxiety can help estimate students' achievement in vocabulary learning.

In the twenty-first century, the teaching and learning of foreign languages (FL) has shifted towards providing English as a foreign language (EFL) learner with the necessary skills in a cross-cultural encounter widely known as intercultural competence. Based on the notion that one's intercultural savvy depends on having a clear conception of what intercultural competence involves, this study aimed to explore Thai students!" interpretations of intercultural competence (IC). The study was carried out through interviews with 20 Thai undergraduate students from two Thai universities in Bangkok. All participants took part in both one-on-one and group interviews. The study used Byram's (1997) model of intercultural communicative competence (ICC). The findings show that the participants had little understanding of the concepts underlying IC, and how students perceived IC was essentially influenced by their intercultural learning experiences in their classrooms%" Overall, the findings of this study offered a wide range of recommendations, specifically regarding classroom practices for intercultural learning.

This study investigates the reasons behind pre-service and in-service teachers' decisions to use digital literacy tools in their teaching following the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective is to understand the factors influencing their choices and to identify areas where support and training are needed. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight teachers from a university demonstration school in Thailand, evenly divided between pre-service and in-service teachers. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework guided the creation and adaptation of the interview questions. The findings indicate that pre-service teachers prefer digital tools that are easy to use, accessible, and affordable, with features such as templates, multimedia, and engaging functionalities. In contrast, in-service teachers prioritize familiar tools that save time and enhance the quality of teaching materials. Both groups value tools that facilitate collaboration and ensure privacy. The study highlights the significant generational differences in technology adoption, with younger teachers showing a greater inclination towards exploring a variety of digital tools, while more experienced teachers tending to stick with familiar technologies due to time constraints and comfort levels. These insights underscore the necessity for ongoing, tailored professional development programs that address the specific needs of both pre-service and in-service teachers. Such programs should focus on enhancing digital literacy, providing practical examples of new tools' benefits, and fostering a supportive community for technology integration. By understanding these differences, educational institutions can better support teachers in integrating digital literacy tools effectively, thereby improving teaching practices and professional development opportunities. The implications of this study suggest that a one-size-fits-all approach to technology training may not be effective, and differentiated support is essential to cater to the diverse needs of educators.

This study investigates the factors influencing the adoption of Generative-AI tools amongst Thai university students, employing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a theoretical framework. Data from 911 higher education students from 10 different Thai Universities Health Sciences, Sciences and Technology, Social Sciences and Humanities, and Vocational Fields were analysed via Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The instrument used in collecting the data was a questionnaire. Results indicated that Expected Benefits, Perceived Usefulness, Attitude Toward Technology, and Behavioural Intention all significantly impacted student adoption of Generative AI. Intriguingly, Perceived Ease of Use was negatively correlated with Perceived Usefulness, challenging conventional TAM assumptions. This study underscores the need to address language barriers, foster a culture of innovation, and establish ethical guidelines to promote responsible AI use within education. Despite inherent limitations, this research contributes to our understanding of AI adoption in educational settings and helps inform strategies for equitable access and responsible innovation. The result demonstrated that the easier a tool was to use, the less value leaners seemed to see in it for their learning process. It can be implied that as Generative AI get more intuitive, learners think they're less helpful. These finding challenges a few of those assumptions we usually make within the TAM model. It also points out the characteristic of learners which affects their learning preferences and expectation. Another finding showed the impact of language barrier on non-native English speaker that obstruct the user experience in AI services. Moreover, the role of universities in fostering both AI integration for learning for and the ethical implementation of Generative AI. By providing a supportive environment that encourages AI experimentation, redesign learning, empowering learners and faculty instructors to investigate how Generative AI can be applied across disciplines, and developing guidelines for ethical use, universities play a critical role in shaping the effective and responsible integration of AI into the next educational landscape.

Technology in language instruction has become a new norm due to its effectiveness, and one example is the Teams-Games-Tournaments (TGT) method. The purpose of this study is to measure students' achievement in English language classes by using technology-infused TGT and ask the students to evaluate their learning experience with this method. This research involved 30 students as the control group and 30 students as the experimental group from two sections of the same general English course at a Thailand university. Pre- and post-tests of the control and the experimental group were conducted to assess the success of the method. At the end of the term, a questionnaire consisting of closed and open-ended questions was used to record the students' perceptions. The findings showed that the experimental group's scores were higher suggesting the success of the method in improving students' achievement. The experimental group's perceptions as expressed in the questionnaire under cooperation, motivation, achievement, and satisfaction were highly positive as students gave, on average, ratings of more than 4.0 to all categories. The implication of these findings was the effective application of this method in English classes.

Background: Research in the field of writing pedagogy within higher education has extensively examined the significant roles that feedback plays in the development of students' writing skills. However, comparative studies that investigate the efficacy of teacher-provided written and oral feedback, both with and without the aid of technology, remain scarce. Such research is crucial for understanding the impact of different feedback modalities on student learning and could inform best practices in educational settings. Objectives: This research, which was part of a larger study, specifically examined the impact of teacher-provided feedback--both written and oral--on the development of students' writing skills. We conducted this evaluation within the framework of the process-genre approach, comparing the outcomes of technology-facilitated feedback with traditional methods of delivery. The study sought to determine which forms of feedback, technologymediated or otherwise, are the most effective in enhancing students' writing proficiency. Method: It used a sequential explanatory design, selecting 28 first-year students from a veterinary international programme through purposive sampling. The participants were divided into control and experimental groups. Data collection methods included written and oral feedback surveys, pre-test and post-test evaluations, formative essay assessments, and participant interviews. Results: The experimental group, receiving technology-mediated teacher feedback through writeabout.com, demonstrated significantly better writing skills compared to the control group with a conventional lesson plan. Students found the technology-mediated written feedback efficient and precise, but faced language proficiency challenges and sought more personalised interaction. There was a strong positive correlation between this feedback and various aspects of writing achievement, including task response, coherence, lexical resources, and grammatical accuracy. Conclusion: The research highlights the significance of a balanced feedback provision strategy that accommodates the varied preferences of students. Contribution: It adds to the wider conversation on efficacious writing pedagogy within Thai Higher Education, spotlighting the beneficial effects of technology-mediated feedback as part of the process-genre approach.
