Erimiş yığma modellemesi (FDM), makul bir süre içinde karmaşık şekillere sahip işlevsel parçalar oluşturma yeteneği nedeniyle hızla büyüyen bir hızlı prototipleme teknolojisidir. FDM yöntemiyle üretim yapan 3 boyutlu yazıcılarla üretilen ürünlerin mekanik özelliklerinin belirlenmesi ve geliştirilmesi, bu imalat yönteminin kullanımının yaygınlaşması açısından büyük öneme sahiptir. Bu çalışmada; Ultimaker 2 Extended 3B yazıcı ile ABS ve PLA malzeme kullanılarak farklı renklerde ve farklı dolgu desenlerinde çekme test numuneleri üretilmiştir. Filament renginin ve dolgu deseninin mekanik özellikler üzerindeki etkileri deneysel olarak araştırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, kullanılan filament renginin, 3 boyutlu yazıcı ile üretilen çekme numunelerinin mekanik özellikleri üzerinde kayda değer bir etkisinin olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Kullanılan dolgu desenleri arasından en yüksek çekme mukavemeti değerlerinin “Concentric” dolgu deseniyle üretilen numunelerde olduğu belirlenmiştir. In this study, in order to better understand the effects of normal and shear stresses on the strength of the adhesive joints, the end-to-end conical adhesive joint geometry, in which the normal and shear stresses that will occur at the interface change with the change of the taper angle, was investigated. Conical bonding surfaces of two materials, aluminum and structural steel, at different angles, numerical analysis of the butt joint obtained by using DP810 structural adhesive was performed. In the analysis, failure loads were determined for the same adhesion surfaces of the joints at different angles by using the von Mises yield and fracture criteria. In addition, stress distribution graphs were obtained for all adhesion surfaces against the same load and their comparisons were made. 3 boyutlu yazıcı ile çeşitli ürünlerin üretilmesi sırasında birçok parametre yer almaktadır. Bu parametrelerin değiştirilmesi ile üretim maliyetleri ve üretim süresi azaltılabilirken, üretilen ürünlerin mekanik özelliklerinde de değişimler yaşanmaktadır. Bu nedenle 3 boyutlu yazıcı ile üretilen ürünlerin çeşitli parametrelere göre mekanik özelliklerinin tespit edilmesi, bu ürünlerin kullanılacakları yerlere göre üretim parametrelerinin seçilebilmesi açısından önem kazanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada; Ultimaker 2 Extended 3 boyutu yazıcıda ABS ve PLA malzeme ile farklı tabla ve nozul sıcaklıkları kullanılarak çekme test numuneleri üretilmiştir. Tabla ve nozul sıcaklıklarının mekanik özellikler üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Üretilen numunelerin kütleleri, sertlikleri, yüzey pürüzlülükleri ölçülmüş ve üretilen numunelere çekme testi yapılmıştır. 3 boyutlu yazıcı ile üretilen çekme numunelerinin boyutlandırılmasında ASTM D638-14 standardı kullanılmıştır. In this study; tensile test specimens have been produced on the Ultimaker 2 Extended 3 dimension printer with ABS and PLA material using different bed and nozzle temperatures. The effects of bed and nozzle temperatures on mechanical properties have been investigated. Masses, hardness, surface roughness of the produced samples have been measured and tensile test has been performed on the produced samples. The ASTM D638-14 standard has been used for sizing the tensile specimens produced with a 3D printer. As a result of the tests, it has been determined that different bed temperatures did not have much effect in terms of mass, hardness, surface roughness, tensile strength and elongation in both ABS and PLA materials. In addition, it has been determined that the mass, upper surface hardness and tensile strength values decreased, the arithmetic average roughness values increased, and there was no significant change in the lower surface hardness and elongation values with the decrease of nozzle temperature in the tensile samples produced with ABS and PLA materials.

As a result; it has been determined that the tensile strength of the samples produced with PLA material are higher than the samples produced with ABS material, and the elongation at break values of the samples produced with ABS material are higher than the samples produced with PLA material.

Definition of the mechanical properties of the parts produced by the additive manufacturing method is of great importance for designers and users. In this study, the effects of the production parameters of the additive manufacturing method, such as nozzle, table temperature, and the variation of the filling pattern on flexural strength, are experimentally investigated. The test samples with different production parameters using ABS and PLA materials are produced with 3D printers. The produced samples are subjected to the three-point flexural test. As a result of the experiments, force-deflection curves are created. The effects of each parameter, and the results are evaluated. It has been determined that PLA isgenerally more durable in flexural strength than ABS. In addition, it is determined that the change of nozzle temperature for PLA material considerably changed its mechanical properties. Sandwich structures can be exposed to various compression loads depending on their different usage areas. Determining the stress values and damage types of the structure under compression is important in terms of design. In this study, edgewise compression tests were applied to bio-core sandwich composite materials in accordance with ASTM C364 standard. As a result of the tests, the effects of core thickness, number of outer surface layers and orientation sequence on the maximum damage load and damage pattern were examined. The thickness of the balsa woods used in the core structure was chosen as 4, 6, 8 and 10 mm, on the outer surfaces, glass fiber-epoxy composites with 8 and 12 layers of 0º, 0/90º and ±45º orientation were selected. Sandwich materials were produced together using the vacuum infusion method (VARTM), balsa wood and glass fiber reinforced composites. Nano-technological developments, which have made significant progress in recent years, have significant impact on the science of adhesives. Therefore, in our study, the static and fatigue strengths of single-lap joints (SLJs) incorporating nanoparticles were compared to those without nanoparticles. Steel plates were used in the adhesive joints. The results revealed that average damage load increased significantly in nanoparticle-reinforced adhesive joints. The highest damage load was obtained with 4 wt% nanoAl2O3 in epoxy adhesive. In this study, the determinability of the remanufacturing parameters of Al7039 alloy, nowadays known as armor material, are emphasized. Commercially obtained Al7039 alloy plates are melted in a casting furnace and cast into a specially prepared mold. After the mold pressure cap is closed, the samples are squeezed into the mold with a pressure of about 18 MPa. Plates were examined by cooling at different cooling rates in order to determine the proper casting process. After the homogenization heat treatment parameters which are generally applied after casting were determined, hot forging process was started. After waiting at 400 oC temperature for 15 minutes, the plates decreased from 15 mm thickness to 6 mm thickness and cooled in the air after the process. In the heat treatment process, which is another of the production processes, the samples were made available by specifying the parameters of heat treatment, solution, quenching and artificial aging. Because of their many advantages, adhesively bonded joints are intensively used in many engineeringfields. So,the mechanical research of the adhesively bonded joints is very important to use these joints safely. There aremany studies performed by researchers to investigate the mechanical properties of the adhesive joints. There hasbeen a considerable interest in nanoparticles added to structural adhesives recently because nanoparticles im-prove the mechanical properties of adhesives and joints. In this paper, different nanoparticles reinforced byepoxy adhesive, and neat adhesive were used to produce single lap joints. The static and fatigue strengths ofsingle lap joints incorporating nanoparticles were compared to those without nanoparticles. Experiments wereperformed at 20 mm overlap length. DP460 epoxy was used as the adhesive material, and nano-Al2O3, nano-TiO2and nano-SiO2were used as the nanoparticles; and AISI 304 stainless steel plates were used as the adherents. Theresults of the experimental research revealed that average failure load increased significantly in nanoparticle-reinforced adhesive joints. The highest average failure load was obtained with 4 wt% nano-Al2O3in epoxyadhesive. Fatigue tests were performed at 10 Hz frequency, and 0.1 loading ratio (R). During this process, thermocouple tips positioned closely to the each side of the weld helped determine temperatures on the advancing and retreating sides. These temperature values were used to estimate pre-heating temperature of the base metal prior to the welding process. After Al7039 plates at identical dimensions were heated to a certain temperature, they were joined using the same welding parameters, and the heat distribution was determined thanks to the thermocouples positioned on the same zones. The heat distribution between two samples which were joined using different heat inputs were analyzed to reveal the impact of this heat distribution on the weld zone via mechanical tests and micro structure images.
