In emotion-focused therapy (EFT), it is not uncommon for therapists to experience intrusive therapist reactions (ITR) to their work with clients, interfering with their therapeutic focus and the provision of Rogerian core conditions. The EFT supervision manual suggests supervisors continuously monitor supervisee reactions and offer guided exploration of what has arisen. The presence of an ITR as a significant event in supervision indicates a marker to perform self-of-therapist work. This study presents a theoretical description of the stages of a new supervision task called the self-of-therapist (SOT) for working with ITRs in EFT supervision. Responding to ITRs and performing SOT work is viewed as critical for the development of EFT therapists. The SOT concept is defined and an EFT, process-oriented conceptualization of SOT is provided. Background: The two‐pore domain potassium (K2P) channels are a major type of potassium channels that maintain the cell membrane potential by conducting passive potassium leak currents independent of voltage change. They play prominent roles in multiple physiological processes, including neuromodulation, perception of pain, breathing and mood control, and response to volatile anesthetics. Mutations in K2P channels have been linked to many human diseases, such as neuronal and cardiovascular disorders and cancers. Significant progress has been made to understand their protein structures, physiological functions, and pharmacological modifiers. However, their expression and function during embryonic development remain largely unknown. Results: We employed the zebrafish model and identified 23 k2p genes using BLAST search and gene cloning. We first analyzed vertebrate K2P channel evolution by phylogenetic and syntenic analyses. Our data revealed that the six subtypes of the K2P genes have already evolved in invertebrates long before the emergence of vertebrates. Moreover, the vertebrate K2P gene number increased, most likely due to two whole‐genome duplications. Furthermore, we examined zebrafish k2p gene expression during early embryogenesis by in situ hybridization. Each subgroup's genes showed similar but distinct gene expression domains with some exceptions. Most of them were expressed in neural tissues consistent with their known function of neural excitability regulation. However, a few k2p genes were expressed temporarily in specific tissues or organs, suggesting that these K2P channels may be needed for embryonic development. Conclusions: Our phylogenetic and developmental analyses of K2P channels shed light on their evolutionary history and potential roles during embryogenesis related to their physiological functions and human channelopathies. Key Findings: K2P potassium channels have a deep evolutionary origin, and vertebrates gained more K2p channel genes through whole genome duplications.23 K2P channels were identified in zebrafish, some resulting from the teleost‐specific whole genome duplication.Zebrafish k2p channel genes are expressed in various tissues and organs. The article is devoted to the study of the evolution of the role of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine and the Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine in terms of strengthening the independence of the National Bank of Ukraine. It was established that during 1999-2023, the range of subjects entrusted with the main task of the National Bank of Ukraine was changed - currently it is entrusted only to the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine, there were changes in the legal norms that determined the composition and procedure of forming the composition of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine of the Bank of Ukraine, the term of office of the chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine was extended and the law was changed, which established the requirements for acceptance and dismissal from the position of the chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine - the requirements for this subject of law were strengthened. It has been established that the evolution of the role of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine in terms of strengthening the independence of the National Bank of Ukraine is manifested in the fact that it was followed by the Parliament of Ukraine in a special law - the Law of Ukraine "On the National Bank of Ukraine" with the following powers: development of the main principles of monetary policy and implementation of control over the conduct of monetary policy; supervision of the internal control system of the National Bank of Ukraine. It is noted that the requirements of the legislation of Ukraine regarding the incompatibility of the position of a member of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine with other types of his activities are currently debatable. It has been established that the evolution of the role of the Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine in terms of strengthening the independence of the National Bank of Ukraine is manifested in the fact that the Parliament of Ukraine, in a special law - the Law of Ukraine "On the National Bank of Ukraine", changed the term of office of the Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, established legal norms that strengthen the requirements before his acceptance into office and dismissal from office, it is prohibited for the Head of the NBU to have a representative mandate/hold the position of head of a state authority or other state body (provided that one year has not passed since the day of dismissal from such a position), or to be the head of a political party or a member of the governing bodies of a political party, or be a manager/member of the governing body of a legal entity (with the exception of the NBU), or be a direct or indirect owner of any number of shares (parts, shares) of a legal entity. Background: Dementia is recognized as a neurodegenerative disease that gradually causes serious cognitive, motor, and functional impairments in affected individuals. This study explored the impact of a meaningful task-oriented intervention on independence in activities of daily living, cognitive status, and physical abilities, including gait speed and balance, among elderly patients diagnosed with mild to moderate dementia. Methods: In this randomized controlled trial, 40 participants aged 60-70, with a Functional Assessment Staging Tool (FAST Scale) score of 1-5, were recruited. They were randomly assigned to either a control group (n=20) receiving standard care, including medication and routine consultation, or an intervention group (n=20) receiving standard care along with eight 45–60-minute sessions of task-oriented interventions. These interventions were centered around familiar daily life activities in the home environment and were conducted twice a week. The primary outcome measure was the participants' independence in activities of daily living, assessed using the Barthel Index. Secondary outcome measures included cognitive function, evaluated using Addenbrooke’s Cognitive Examination-Revised, and physical performance, assessed through the Timed Up and Go test, 10 Meter Walk Test, and Berg Balance Scale. This quantitative case study research explored English as a foreign language (EFL) pre-service teachers’ perception of the Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) for facilitating written language competency for learners of English in northern Mexico. The participants in the study (n = 193) were from two locations: A public university in the state of Nuevo León, Mexico with 112 EFL Pre-service teachers (Location A) and a Normal Superior School with 81 (Location B). All participants took part in the study voluntarily and responded to a survey via email. The study included a survey with a five-point scale (1. Strongly disagree, 2. Disagree, 3. Neutral, 4. Agree, 5. Strongly agree). The survey contained a demographic section followed by three subscales with a total of 35 items: Subscale one, The Teaching Process (items 1-10); Subscale two, The Role of the Task (items 11-18), and Subscale 3, The Teaching of Language Competencies (items 19-35). The last five items (31-35) asked participants about the facilitation of written expression competency through TBLT. The items of the survey responded to the three research questions of the study, regarding perceptions about TBLT approach to the teaching of English; the role of task in English language learning; and the contribution of TBLT for teaching of the written expression competency in Mexico. The construction of the survey was informed by contributions of Prabhu (1987), Nunan (2004), Swan (2005), Ellis (2009), Long (2015), Jeon and Hahn (2006), and SEP (2018). The survey was administered using the SurveyMonkey platform. Since this is an in-progress research, findings and conclusions will appear in further publications.

The scheduling of tower crane operations is a complex process. Overlapping areas between tower cranes often lead to increased collision possibilities, resulting in additional tower crane operation complexity. Single objectives related to time or economic aspects were always considered in dealing with this issue, which neglected other objectives and the relationships between different objectives. Therefore, this article proposes a novel method for the schedule of prefabricated component lifting tasks on the construction site, integrating the multi-objective optimization model with the decision-making method with the aim of minimizing energy consumption costs and minimizing the amplitude of the costs among multiple tower cranes. A non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-III (NSGA-III) written in Python is used as the multi-objective optimization algorithm—which considers the selection of tasks for each tower crane and the order of lifting for each tower crane and technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution (TOPSIS), and is applied as the decision-making method for ranking the Pareto front. Then, a green construction production and education integration training building construction project located in Jinan, China is used as the case study to verify that the method is practical and reasonable. The results show that conflicts can be effectively avoided, energy consumption costs reduced, and equipment utilization increased by rationally distributing lifting tasks among multiple overlapping tower cranes. And among the top 11 solutions, the lifting tasks and priorities for tower crane 1 are close to the same. In contrast, the task lifting for tower crane 2 was assigned based on the balance of the energy consumption costs of the two tower cranes. The discovery of this article is helpful to eliminate collisions, interference, and frequent start and stop of several tower cranes, so as to realize the safe, stable, and efficient operation of the construction site. Abstract Ant workers are often specialized in specific tasks, and it is well‐established that the main task an ant performs in the colony can be used to predict its sensitivity and responses to task‐associated stimuli. An often‐overlooked aspect of ants' task specialization is that individuals often switch tasks throughout the day and are not always engaged in functional tasks. Furthermore, the tasks individuals engage in are often correlated with other context‐specific factors, such as worker density, which can independently influence individuals' behaviour. Given this intra‐individual variation in task engagement and its correlation with density, it is currently unknown how these two factors interact to modulate ants' sensitivity and responses to stimuli. To address this question, we built a robotic manipulation system that allowed us to teleoperate a dummy inside ant colonies and to provide simulated antennations to ants when performing different tasks in areas with different worker densities. We coupled this manipulation system with a custom‐built automated tracking system (FORT) that allowed us to track individual identities and locations as well as to record the ants' responses to the dummy stimulation. We found independent effects of task and worker density on ants' responsiveness and alarm towards the dummy. Ants were less likely to respond and be alarmed by the dummy when stimulated in areas with high worker density. Responsiveness but not alarm was further influenced by the task being performed, with ants doing broodcare being the least responsive. Our results suggest that ants' behaviour is density‐dependent and that ants experience a process of habituation to tactile stimulation. Additionally, ants' responsiveness is modulated by the task they are performing at a given time, showing that sensitivity to stimuli is context‐dependent. Our robotic set‐up constitutes a valuable tool to systematically investigate social insect behaviour under unprecedented experimental control to unravel the individual‐level behavioural rules that underpin the organization of social insect colonies. The integrated system presented here opens new research avenues to empirically investigate the effects of more complex stimuli on social insect behaviour and has the potential to significantly further our understanding of decentralized collective systems.

The dorsal striatum, an essential nucleus in subcortical areas, has a crucial role in controlling a variety of complex cognitive behaviors; however, few studies have been conducted in recent years to explore the functional subregions of the dorsal striatum that are significantly activated when performing multiple tasks. To explore the differences and connections between the functional subregions of the dorsal striatum that are significantly activated when performing different tasks, we propose a framework for functional division of the dorsal striatum based on a graph neural network model. First, time series information for each voxel in the dorsal striatum is extracted from acquired functional magnetic resonance imaging data and used to calculate the connection strength between voxels. Then, a graph is constructed using the voxels as nodes and the connection strengths between voxels as edges. Finally, the graph data are analyzed using the graph neural network model to functionally divide the dorsal striatum. The framework was used to divide functional subregions related to the four tasks including olfactory reward, "0-back" working memory, emotional picture stimulation, and capital investment decision-making. The results were further subjected to conjunction analysis to obtain 15 functional subregions in the dorsal striatum. The 15 different functional subregions divided based on the graph neural network model indicate that there is functional differentiation in the dorsal striatum when the brain performs different cognitive tasks. The spatial localization of the functional subregions contributes to a clear understanding of the differences and connections between functional subregions.

Individuals at familial risk for mood disorders exhibit deficits in emotional processing and associated brain dysfunction prior to illness onset. However, such brain-behavior abnormalities related to familial predisposition remain poorly understood. To investigate robust abnormal functional activation patterns during emotional processing in unaffected at-risk relatives of patients with major depressive disorder (UAR-MDD) and bipolar disorder (UAR-BD), we performed a meta-analysis of task-based functional magnetic resonance imaging studies using Seed-based d Mapping (SDM) toolbox. Common and distinct patterns of abnormal functional activation between UAR-MDD and UAR-BD were detected via conjunction and differential analyses. A total of 17 studies comparing 481 UAR and 670 healthy controls (HC) were included. Compared with HC, UAR-MDD exhibited hyperactivation in the parahippocampal gyrus, amygdala and cerebellum, while UAR-BD exhibited parahippocampal hyperactivation and hypoactivation in the striatum and middle occipital gyrus (MOG). Conjunction analysis revealed shared hyperactivated PHG in both groups. Differential analysis indicated that the activation patterns of amygdala and MOG significantly differed between UAR-MDD and UAR-BD. Dyscalculia is the inability to perform simple numerical calculations in everyday life. However, no one has researched this topic worldwide in about two years. This study aimed to investigate the research trends on dyscalculia through bibliometric studies and research issues related to dyscalculia in the Scopus database starting 2017 to October 2022. The sample consisted of 536 total documents. The results showed that scientific publications on dyscalculia fluctuated. In the next five years, its movements cannot be predicted. The highest number of document types is articles, which is 369. The number of cross-border documents from 2017 to 2022 is in the United States, as many as 75 papers, and in Italy, 74 copies. These two countries are more dominant on the topic of dyscalculia. Furthermore, 536 documents comprising 94.4% of articles were used in English. In general, in research on dyscalculia, researchers produce four out of five significant clusters: patient, approach, task, and grade. However, topics related to dyscalculia and mathematics often studied are deficit students, deficit addition and subtraction, mathematics difficulty, instruction, and primary school. This study aims to examine the effects of employing a mere Task-Based Approach (TB) and a Translation-Assisted Task-Based Approach (TATB) in promoting EFL learners’ news-story writing skill. The subjects who participated in this study were 82 Iranian BA sophomores majoring in translation at Islamic Azad University, Hamedan Branch. To this aim, the participants were homogeneously assigned to two groups, i.e. control group (TB) and the experimental group (TATB). Both groups passed through the different phases of Willis’ TBL framework and the translation task was given only to the experimental or the TATB group. In other words, both groups were exposed to a 6-week TB intervention with only the experimental group benefiting from the translation practice at the end of the third phase. To obtain the related data, the researchers administered an evaluation exam on news-story writing at the pre- and post-task evaluation phases, prepared by the researchers and put to the test of expert judgment. The results showed that TATB group outperformed the mere TB group which indicates that applying translation-assisted task-based approach in teaching news-story writing could significantly improve both the experimental group’s overall performance on newsstory writing and some of its different aspects such as the use of Wh/H data, word choice, context, consistency, structure, and simple language. The purpose of present article is to introduce the programme of internship of students from different academic institutions. Interns of Valery Brusov State University, Vardges Amazaspian State College of Echmiadzin, Armenian-Greek State College of Tourism, Service and Food Industry of Yerevan completed an internship at the National Library of Armenia. From the point of view of practice, the following issues are also important: strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and National Library of Armenia, continuity of the theory-knowledge-practical application chain, consideration of theoretical, practical, methodological foundations of educationlibrary relations, assessment, etc. The trainees got acquainted with the mission of the National Library of Armenia, the work of various departments and other related issues. Teachers no longer just teach in the classroom but are also compelled to provide reports required by DepEd personnel. The number of tasks to be done is increasing. Without tools and methodologies that can simplify these tasks, it can become a burden to teachers and may cause a problem. This study, funded by the Basic Education Research Fund of the DepEd, attempts to validate a researcherdeveloped system called Teacher Adviser Systematic Kit (TASK) that can be used by teachers. The methodology of this study involved a systematic tool validation process and tool application using the Guidelines for the Development and Validation of Spreadsheets by Peter M. Esch following the OECD Principles of GLP from an Article in The Quality Assurance Journal 2010. The TASK was subjected to the different steps in the qualification process, which include Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ). The researchers also used a descriptive qualitative approach to know the respondent's point of view on the usefulness of the TASK. Respondents strongly agree that the TASK is an effective tool in the efficient and simplified preparation of DepEd school forms that are prepared by the advisers at the end of the quarter and can contribute to the improved and simplified work for teachers. Employee work quality within the fashion industry has received limited attention in the research literature. In order to fill this void in existing research, the author endeavored to examine the study model through a predictive methodology. This study utilized a survey methodology in which 72 employees from the fashion industry sector were selected as participants. The researcher employed the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM-PLS) technique to forecast the proposed study model. The analysis findings indicate that affective commitment considerably impacts employee engagement, namely in terms of dedication and employee creativity. The research findings also suggest that the factors of devotion and creativity exert a notable influence on task performance. Furthermore, it is seen that effective utilization of creativity can propel task performance, consequently exerting a positive influence on improving performance quality. The findings of this study indicate that the fashion industry sector has the potential to improve task and quality performance through the cultivation of affective commitment, dedication, and employee inventiveness.

Objectives The main research objective was to examine the suitability of the BSP system to ensure effective support for penitentiary units in the performance of daily business tasks. The main research problem was formulated in the form of a question: What functionalities of the UAV system are useful for the tasks performed by SW? The main research hypothesis took the form of an assumption that the functionalities possessed by UAVs can provide significant support in the performance of tasks by PS officers and constitute an element of their development that should be implemented. The collected material of the researchers was used to formulate proving conclusions on the suitability of unmanned systems for official tasks performed by the Prison Service. Material and methods interview questionnaire Results The collected material of the researchers was used to formulate conclusions proving the usefulness of unmanned systems for official tasks performed by the Prison Service Conclusions UAV technologies in the form of monitoring and observation seem to be the most desirable technologies among the surveyed officers.

Many constraints (environmental, organismic, and task) act on all patterns of motor coordination, although their effects on swimming is less well understood. To this end, we carried out the current study with fifty-six participants, ages ranging from six to twelve years. The experimental tasks were created from the original task in which changes in task speed and environmental context were manipulated. Four aspects in the results were notable: a) a main trend was one of performance with the same developmental status among the tasks; b) when behaviour changed, this occurred due to environmental constraints, leading to more rudimentary patterns of locomotion; c) the developmental status presented initially was associated with greater adaptative capacity in the task combining change in direction and speed; in this case participants with more advanced developmental status presented changes in sequencing as well as parameters; and d) when only speed was increased, changes were restricted to the parameters. Irony comprehension involves understanding implicit attitudes communicated on top of the explicit, literal meaning. Because of the double-binding stemming from the explicit–implicit incongruity, irony is assumed to be cognitively taxing when communicated in the native language (NL), and even more so in the foreign language (FL). Prior studies investigating irony comprehension in the FL indicated that irony may be processed with similar speed and accuracy in the foreign and the native language, and that irony comprehension efficiency in the former might be lower. Building on these findings, this study investigates if the tasks participants perform when reading irony in their FL affect the efficiency of irony comprehension. We invited 150 advanced Polish users of English to take part in one of two tasks. Participants were asked to read 3- to 5-sentence-long-scenarios, ending in literal (Literal Praise, Literal Criticism) or ironic comments (Ironic Praise, Ironic Criticism) and to either (1) make true/false judgments (T/F task; N = 83), or to (2) judge the emotional value in emotive decision task (EDT; N = 67). A full spectrum of verbal irony employed to communicate ironic praise and criticism, and their literal equivalents: literal praise and literal criticism, was tested. A three-way mixed ANOVA with 2× Valence (Praise, Criticism), 2× Mode (Literal, Ironic) as within-subject repeated-measures, and 2× Task (True/False, Emotive Decision) as a between-subject independent measure, revealed that efficiency of irony comprehension was differently modified by the two tasks. Recommendation system and classification machine learning techniques have emerged as a major area of investigation into the issue of information overload. Software tools called "recommender systems" aim to help users make informed choices about services. This paper developed a low-dimensional embedding in which a limited number of features can be used to represent the data object. The dizzying change triggered by technology in organizations has made it necessary to make quick and accurate decision-making in a multi-actor environment. To implement these decisions as soon as possible, it is necessary to have a high degree of integration in all units of the organization. And the staff must perform the tasks expected of them without any misstep. This situation forces the organizational systems to become compatible with their elements. Traditional task analysis methods applied in strict hierarchical institutions are criticized for requiring intensive labor, budget, time, and resources. In this traditional task analysis, the collection of information in a long process and with a lot of effort, the necessity of collecting data from a representative sample and the limited use of the collected data have triggered the need for new analysis methods. In this study, the job analysis of vocational instructors in an in-service training institution with a strict hierarchical structure was performed with DACUM (Developing a Curriculum), known as the new generation competency-based job analysis method. As a result of an analysis that lasted only one and half day; the duties, tasks, knowledge, skills of the instructors, the behaviors expected of them, the equipment they use, future trends of their occupation were revealed. With the results obtained from this study, it has been determined which critical issues will be considered in the selection of qualified instructors for the institution and in the performance evaluations of the instructors. In many patients with stroke, trunk stabilization and balance are decreased. Trunk stabilization and balance are important to perform posture control and functional movement. This study investigates the effects of task-orientated training with the abdominal drawing-in maneuver in a sitting position on trunk control, balance, and activities of daily living in patients with chronic stroke. The study design is a randomized controlled trial. Thirty-eight patients with chronic stroke participated in this study. The task-oriented training combined with the abdominal drawing-in maneuver group (n = 13), the task-oriented training group (n = 13), and the control group (n = 12) received traditional physical therapy. Three groups participated in a total of 20 sessions, four times a week for five weeks. After the five-week training period, trunk control, balance, and activities of daily living were assessed. The task-oriented training combined with the abdominal drawing-in maneuver group demonstrated significant improvements in trunk control, balance, and activities of daily living compared to the task-oriented training and control groups (p < 0.05). These results have implications for improving trunk control, balance, and activities of daily living for patients with stroke, and support the integration of this training method into standard clinical practice. This paper incorporates a task‐based approach into the Solow growth model to analyze the effects of automation on economic growth. We find that if task producers smoothly adopt automation technology along the capital accumulation path, sustained growth is possible even without technological progress. This result is brought about by the fact that task automation makes the aggregate production function linear. In addition, we demonstrate that both the rental price of capital and the wage are constant on the growth path. In sum, while the interaction between task automation and capital accumulation can be a pathway for sustained growth in output, it leads to the cease of wage growth in the long run. This work focused on functional connectivity changes under midazolam and ketamine sedation during performance of a memory task, with the periodic experience of pain. To maximize ability to compare to previous and future work, we performed secondary region of interest (ROI)-to-ROI functional connectivity analyses on these data, using two granularities of scale for ROIs. These findings are compared to the results of a previous seed-to-voxel analysis methodology, employed in the primary analysis. Healthy adult volunteers participated in this randomized crossover 3 T functional MRI study under no drug, followed by subanesthetic doses of midazolam or ketamine achieving minimal sedation. Periodic painful stimulation was delivered while subjects repeatedly performed a memory-encoding task. Atlas-based and network-level ROIs were used from within Conn Toolbox (ver 18). Timing of experimental task events was regressed from the data to assess drug-induced changes in background connectivity, using ROI-to-ROI methodology. Compared to saline, ROI-to-ROI connectivity changes under ketamine did not survive correction for multiple comparisons, thus data presented is from 16 subjects in a paired analysis between saline and midazolam. In both ROI-to-ROI analyses, the predominant direction of change was towards increased connectivity under midazolam, compared to saline. These connectivity increases occurred between functionally-distinct brain areas, with a posterior-predominant spatial distribution that included many long-range connectivity changes. During performance of an experimental task that involved periodic painful stimulation, compared to saline, low-dose midazolam was associated with robust increases in functional connectivity. This finding was concordant across different seed-based analyses for midazolam, but not ketamine. Drawing on research in mathematics and science education that has supported student higher-level thinking in K-12 classrooms, we sought to classify the ways of thinking and reasoning supported by robotics coding tasks. As part of a larger project, we examined coding tasks implemented in elementary school classrooms and analyzed ways of thinking and reasoning about coding supported by these tasks. From this analysis, we developed a framework for analyzing the cognitive demand of coding tasks that can be used to support researchers, curriculum developers, and teachers in supporting students' higher levels of thinking as they learn coding. This paper describes data collected from a cross-sectional convenience sample of 200 healthy human volunteers between 16 and 81 years of age. We assembled an extensive battery of measures of risk preference, impulsivity, and self-control, as well as a range of demographic and cognitive measures, Crucially, we adopted different measure categories, including self-reports, informant reports, behavioral measures, and biological measures (hormones, brain function) to capture individual differences, and adopted a within-participant design. Data collection took place over multiple sessions. First, participants completed a laboratory session at the university during which we collected computer-assisted self-report measures (i.e., standardized questionnaires) as well as behavioral measures using computerized tasks. Second, participants independently completed a home session that included the completion of self-report measures, and the collection of saliva samples. In parallel, we acquired informant reports from up to three individuals nominated by the study participants. Third, participants completed a final session at the local hospital during which we collected structural and functional neuroimaging data, as well as further self-report measures. The data was collected to address questions concerning the developmental trajectories of risk preference and related constructs while assessing the impact of the assessment method; however, we invite fellow researchers to benefit from and further explore the data for research on decision-making under risk and uncertainty in general, and to apply novel analytical approaches (e.g., machine-learning applications to the neuroimaging data). Combining a large set of measures with a within-participant design affords a wealth of opportunities for further insights and a more robust evidence base supporting current theorizing on (age-related) differences in risk preference, impulsivity, and self-control.

Abstract This paper discusses the design of a novel hybrid bioinspired model for task-and-VM-dependency and deadline aware scheduling via dual service level agreements. The model uses a combination of grey wolf optimization with the league championship algorithm, to perform efficient scheduling operations. These optimization techniques model a fitness function that incorporates task make-span, task deadline, mutual dependencies with other tasks, the capacity of VMs, and energy needed for scheduling operations. This assists in improving its scheduling performance for multiple use cases. To perform these tasks, the model initially deploys a task-based service level agreement (SLA) method, which assists in enhancing task and requesting-user diversity. This is followed by the design of a VM-based SLA model, which reconfigures the VM's internal characteristics to incorporate multiple task types. The model also integrates deadline awareness along with task-level and VM-level dependency awareness, which assists in improving its scheduling performance under real-time task and cloud scenarios. The proposed model is able to improve cloud utilization by 8.5%, increase task diversity by 8.3%, reduce the delay needed for resource provisioning by 16.5%, and reduce energy consumption by 9.1%, making for a wide variety of real-time cloud deployments.

The design of mathematical tasks has taken the replacement on the research agenda of Mathematics Education. In this article, we provide principles of design of interactive mathematical tasks that make up the reasoning and the Ethnomathematics program. The research context involved the design, the development, and the analysis of written and oral prospective mathematics teacher (PMT) in an initial training course. The methodology implemented was descriptive-interpretative and implicated the design of mathematical tasks by the PMTs based on the adaptation of the HiCuA analytical framework. Regarding to the analysis of the data collected, categories of mathematical task types were constructed because of a thematic analysis carried out with the purpose of characterizing the tasks designed by the prospective teacher. The findings of the study provide information on the design principles implemented by prospective teacher in the context of Reasoning and Ethnomathematics. Likewise, it was identified that promoting reasoning and Ethnomathematics through interactive mathematical task designs supports students by developing skills such as: justifying, criticizing, and reasoning the conclusions presented by others.

Statistical literacy is an essential competence that people must face in the era of big data and Society 5.0. In Indonesia and several countries, statistics is taught as a list of competencies in mathematics subject in primary and secondary schools. This study aimed to identify whether statistical tasks in higher secondary school mathematics textbooks support statistical literacy. The qualitative data were collected via deductive content analysis, with a specific framework, toward five Compulsory Mathematics textbooks used in Indonesia. We found that statistical exercises and problems in these textbooks were dominated by data analysis type, emphasizing calculating statistics from raw data and its modification. Regarding data visualization, almost all textbooks introduced the histogram and ogive, while some also introduced the boxplot, stem-and-leaf plot, and dot plot. Improvement could be made by adding more exercises and problems related to the interpretation of statistics, evaluation of statistical results, and comparison of statistics from several data groups.

Abstract Background This study aimed to identify and explain the strategies of faculty development based on their role at Iranian Universities of Medical Sciences. Methods We conducted a qualitative content analysis study in 2021 using purposive, snowball sampling, with a maximum variation in the faculty members’ age and experience level. Twenty four participants were enrolled in this study (eighteen faculty members and six medical sciences students); data collection consisted of two phases of semi-structured interviews and a brainstorming group technique. Data were categorized into two themes and six related subthemes, based on their similarities and differences after frequent summarization. Results The data analysis yielded two themes and eight categories. The first theme was to explain competencies based on role and task with two sub-themes: Tasks and capabilities and development and excellence of personal qualities. The second theme was the best strategies for empowering the teachers with four sub-themes, including problem-based learning, integration of methods, evaluation-based education, and scholarship in education (PIES), which explains the strategies that can support the development of teachers in medical sciences universities, and all the concepts were interrelated to each other. Conclusion From the experiences of faculty members, the importance of some strategies in education and empowering the teachers’ professional competence dimensions should be emphasized. PIES could explain the practical strategies that can support the development of teachers in medical sciences universities.
