The position is substantiated according to which the preservation of the rite as an object of ethnocultural heritage in modern conditions is possible through bringing it into a museum state. It is argued that this process should be based on the fixation of the rite during the period of its existence in the natural socio-cultural environment, the results of which were reflected in the field diaries of ethnographers stored in museum archives. The authors point to the main difference between the “inheri tor of tradition” and the “bearer of tradition”, which is the fragmentation and discreteness of the information available to the latter, which is insufficient to recreate the complex image of the traditional rite. The potential of the proposed methodology for interpreting and reconstructing traditional rituals is revealed on the example of the Shor rite ‘Shachig’. The authors analyze modern national-social variations in the interpretation of ethnographic information about the rite of the first third of the XX century. It is shown that the superficial processing of the information contained in the sources and the incorrect decoding of the codes leads to the transformation of the descriptions of all elements and the material component of the rite. As a scientifically grounded alternative, reconstruction and interpretation of this rite from the standpoint of a semiotic approach is proposed, based on a comprehensive analysis of all its elements (actional, verbal, objective) and considering temporal and local characteristics.

The article discusses the features of maintaining and updating historical and cultural heritage in such an innovative type of Museum, ecomuseum. For example, the only actual inRussiaecomuseum «Tazgol» reveals the methodology of conservation of movable and immovable cultural heritage objects, updating intangible heritage, museums and historicalcultural landscape. It is determined that it is in the ecomuseum is possible to implement a modern approach to heritage conservation, in which the development is inseparable from the actualization of historical and cultural objects are not removed from the natural socio-cultural environment, and the tradition continues in development. Analysis of the activities of the ecomuseum «Tazgol» showed that traditional methods are museumification apply those that are only possible in this type of Museum ecomuseum. Despite a comprehensive approach to the museumification of environment, we can see the loss of certain elements of traditional culture, which at this stage of development of society it is necessary to reconstruct or simulate.

Traditional calendar rites is one of the most important layers of the intangible cultural heritage. In the context of globalization and informatization, this phenomenon is the most exposed to destruction. In modern conditions, we can observe the loss of traditions relating to the field of the ethnic calendar. It is thus urgent not to record these traditions, but to include them in the current environment. One of the leading roles in this area belongs to the museum. Despite the fact that museums are today actively presenting calendar rites as part of the intangible heritage, the methodological basis of such museum activities is poorlydesigned. The lack of a theoretical framework leads to the violation of the principles of museum work and distortion of folk tradition. In this paper, we propose some uniform methods, principles, forms of mainstreaming the calendar rite within the museum's activities. Based on the analysis of existing experience, this will contribute to the revitalization of a significant reservoir of intangible heritage of the Russian and the indigenous population of Kemerovo region.
