Background: Unhealthy lifestyle habits developed during university years could continue into adulthood. Purpose: To analyze and map worldwide publications on physical activity among university students. Method: A pre-validated search strategy was used to find relevant articles in the Scopus database. The study period represented three decades (1993-2022). Results: The method retrieved 919 articles. More than half of the articles (n = 491; 53.4%) were published between 2019 and 2022. The "International Journal of Environmental and Public Health" was the most prolific, but articles published in the "PLOS ONE" journal were the most influential. Research on the impact of physical activity on mental health (n = 236; 25.7%) was the largest research theme, followed by that on body weight (n = 144; 15.7%). Articles on the effect of screen time and mobile phone use on physical activity received the highest number of citations, while those on physical activity during the COVID-19 pandemic received the highest number of citations per year. Discussion: The current study provided baseline information on the research activity on physical activity among a category of assumingly healthy individuals. In the context of globalization and liberalization, the international migration of health workers has gained prominence due to increased cross-border mobility. This migration trend, impacting healthcare systems, has intensified recently, driven by factors like the COVID-19 pandemic and demand in high-income countries. The present study was designed to give an overview on research trends and patterns of scholarly production on this topic. Relevant documents published in Scopus from 1950 to 2022 were extracted and analyzed using bibliometric methods. The search string extracted 708 articles. The Human Resources for Health journal ranked first while the University of Sydney was the leading institution. Authors from the US contributed the most (25.8%), followed by the UK, Canada, and Australia. At the regional level, countries in the WHO South-Eastern Asian region and WHO Eastern Mediterranean region contributed the least. Cross-country research collaboration was limited. The research hotspots that attracted the attention of scholars were nurse and physician migration, policy implications, and impact on developing countries. Emerging research topics were the impact of COVID-19 on migration and identification of push-pull factors. Most frequently mentioned push factors driving health worker migration included economic disparities, unfavorable work conditions, and security concerns. Conversely, the main pull factors encompassed prospects of advanced training, better quality of life, and enhanced practice environments. Future research should focus on global policies and push-pull factors to restore the balance in the ratio of health workforce between high and low- and middle-income countries. Addressing this challenge necessitates a holistic strategy to safeguard source countries and their societies. The study employs bibliometrics to unveil research trends, uncovering core topics like nurse and physician migration, health policy, and workforce retention. Push factors encompass economic constraints, unfavorable conditions, and limited growth opportunities, while pull factors include advanced training, better living standards, and enhanced resources in destination countries. Purpose: The aim of this study is to conduct an in-depth exploration of the research landscape concerning the impact of social determinants of health (SDH) on the health outcomes of international migrants. Design/methodology/approach: Leveraging the extensive Scopus database, this study retrieved a total of 2,255 articles spanning the years 1993–2023. The framework for analysis used the SDH categories outlined by the World Health Organization. Findings: The research landscape exhibited an apparent increase in the number of publications, but not a net increase in the research productivity. The USA emerged as the leading contributor to research output, with the Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health emerging as the most prolific publication venue, and the University of Toronto ranking as the most prolific institution. The SDH category that received the highest number of publications was the "community and social context". Migrants from different regions in Asia (East, Central and South Asia) and those from Latin America and the Caribbean region appeared to be the most commonly researched. Highly cited articles predominantly delved into mental health outcomes arising from discrimination and migration policies. Research limitations/implications: The findings proffer valuable insights for shaping future research endeavors, accentuating the imperative for diversified studies encompassing underrepresented domains, broader health outcomes and the inclusion of migrant populations from different world regions in investigative pursuits. Rationale: This study presents the first comprehensive analysis and mapping of scientific research on point‐of‐care testing (POCT) in infectious diseases, filling a gap in understanding the evolving landscape of this field. The identification of research themes and global contributions offers valuable insights. Aims and Objectives: This manuscript aims to analyse and map scientific research on POCT in the context of infectious diseases. Methods: The study employed a comprehensive search strategy using terms related to POCT and infectious diseases. The search was conducted on the Scopus database, refining results based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The dataset of 1719 research articles was then subjected to descriptive analysis and mapping using VOSviewer. Results: The research findings indicate an exponential growth in POCT‐related publications, with 46.8% published post the COVID‐19 pandemic. Plos One journal led in publication frequency, and Biosensors and Bioelectronics received the highest citations per article. North America and Western Europe dominated contributions, with notable participation from China, South Africa, and India. The research landscape revealed the following research themes: detection technologies, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/sexually transmitted infection (STI) diagnosis, antibiotic optimisation, and schistosomiasis. Clinical trials focused on antibiotic prescribing, HIV, STIs, and specific infections. The findings suggest a shifting landscape towards POCT, emphasising the need for future planning and investment in healthcare systems. The research identifies areas for future exploration, such as the impact of POCT on antibiotic prescribing and its role in combating infectious diseases in low‐ and middle‐income countries. Conclusion: Implementation of POCT has the potential to revolutionise infectious disease management, improve patient outcomes, and reduce the global burden of diseases. Better public awareness, healthcare team management, and planning for POCT at entry points are crucial for societal benefit. Abstract Background The concepts of medication adherence and Treatment satisfactions are commonly used in clinical research for assessing pharmaceutical care and improving treatment outcomes. Generally, one would expect a positive relationship between the two concepts. The objectives of this study were to investigate the factors associated with adherence to antihypertensive therapy among hypertensive patients and to assess the relationship between antihypertensive medication adherence and treatment satisfaction. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted, adopting the Morisky eight-item Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS) for the assessment of medication adherence and using the Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire for Medication (TSQM 1.4) for the assessment of treatment satisfaction. Descriptive and comparative statistics were used to describe socio-demographic and disease-related characteristics of the patients. All analyses were performed using SPSS v 15.0. Results Four hundred and ten hypertensive patients were enrolled in the study. Child marriage, a stark disruption of the traditional childhood experience, remains a pressing concern, yet the scientific exploration of this complex issue has been surprisingly overlooked in terms of comprehensive analysis and mapping. This study aimed to bridge this gap by conducting an extensive examination and mapping of child marriage literature within peer-reviewed journals. Employing the powerful Scopus database, the study combed through research articles spanning from 1983 to 2022. Both quantitative and qualitative analyses were applied to uncover research trends and content patterns. The search string led to the retrieval of 964 relevant documents, revealing a nearly equal distribution between medical and social science subject areas. The analysis yielded several crucial findings. Firstly, it became evident that the current volume of research on child marriage, considering the prevalent rates and impact, falls considerably short of being adequate. A notable surge in research output was detected in the most recent five-year span (2018–2022), likely in response to the global commitment to sustainable development goals. Despite countries with high child marriage rates contributing relatively less to the research landscape, specific nations like India, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, and Nigeria left a noticeable imprint. Furthermore, high-income countries, including the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia, demonstrated significant involvement primarily through international research collaborations with scholars in high child marriage rate regions. Equally noteworthy is the revelation that the field of child marriage is a convergence of scholarly efforts from both the social and medical sciences. Notably, the University of California San Diego played a pivotal role in shaping and fostering research in this domain.
