Health is one of the main elements in human life. Everyone always gives ample space for their health. However, sometimes people forget this when their life goals are not well understood or are limited to certain achievements. This scientific work examines the reinterpretation of the Catholic faith as a search for human nature and how the Catholic faith and health are actually an inseparable unity because humans are complete creatures. Apart from that, this scientific work also reflects the ideal human attitude in facing crises, especially health crises in the new post-pandemic era, namely "Being human also means being a healthy human being" because humans who are able to find faith can understand it. the importance of health in their lives. This research examines Catholic families towards the perfection of holiness: challenges, management, and pastoral care. A Catholic family is a family based on Catholic marriage. The Catholic family itself is referred to as the ecclesia domestica or household church which has a special place in the Catholic Church. This research uses the literature study method. Literature study is research that focuses on searching and deepening supporting literature. Library sources are taken from Church documents that talk about the family and also other sources that support this research. The research results show that Catholic families face external and internal challenges. Therefore, the need to strengthen the foundation of the family in the environment and within the family itself is important in order to realize environment-based pastoral services, as is the pastoral focus of the Diocese of Surabaya. Researchers propose a family catechesis program which aims to build understanding, awareness and concrete action for families towards perfect holiness. This catechesis takes the form of a life catechesis that prioritizes everyday experiences interpreted in the light of the Gospel. Family is the basic cell of society. The crisis of family life caused by ideologies in the contemporary age catastrophically affects social life. This situation appeals to the responsibility of the Christian family. This thesis studies the Christian family as (ideally) a virtuous family in society, and seeks to provide some suggestions to deepen the study of family life and to enrich the accompaniment and family pastoral according to the Christian faith perspective. Saint John Paul II showed in his theological thinking the importance of the Christian family. Thus, we hope that this study, illuminated by his theology, can help to understand and realize the vocation and mission of the Christian family in society, as a miniature church or small home church (Ecclesia domestica). The thesis begins considering the general situation of family life today. It goes on to illustrate the theology of John Paul II as a basis for this study. Subsequently, it develops a reflection on virtues, reflection that is the core of this thesis. On the basis of the results obtained in these three chapters, the thesis proposes what can be understood as a theology of virtues in family life. Finally, within the broader framework of Christian theology, the thesis presents the Christian family as the virtuous family.
