The rapid growth in world population, energy sources depletion, global warming, and increased levels of water are inevitably the main environmental factors that have badly affected the ecological and biodiversity systems worldwide. Therefore, there was an emergency need to find other alternative and sustainable designing strategies and creative solutions for better and more effective use of energy in the built environment. Floating Architecture is one of the most innovative solutions that can combat the issue of climate change. This new approach in architecture which brings together renewable water energy and built environment shall be the main focus of this research by exploring the most substantial and contemporary techniques in this field both on the regional and global levels with the purpose of investigating its possible application locally. In the present research, techniques and objectives are presented with regard to constructing architectural floating formations that are based on contemporary and future technology so to sustainable standards according to advanced designing approaches. This research also sheds light on the problem of the lack of comprehension among architectures of what floating architecture could add to the sustainable built environment, especially if this technique is widely applied in accordance with the up-to-date and advanced structural materials and multiple geometrical patterns. The research reached a set of theoretical and precedents conclusions related to finding sustainable dimensions and techniques for the use of floating architecture at different levels.
