A server room is a room that is used to store applications, data, network devices, and other devices related to daily system operations. Data on the server room is required at all times so it should not be disturbed. PLN's electrical energy is the main source of electrical energy in the server room at the Indonesian Film Censorship Institute (LSF). An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is an electronic device that can provide a temporary backup supply of electricity when the main electric current (PLN) is cut off or out. The UPS is designed to use a step-down CT transformer to step down the voltage from 220 VAC to 24 VAC. Rectifier to rectify AC voltage into DC voltage. 48 V 2 A charger circuit to charge dry batteries. A dry battery is needed as backup power when the power from PLN goes out. Then there is an inverter circuit that is used to convert DC voltage into AC voltage. A static switch that functions as a switching switch from normal operation mode to bypass operation automatically and otherwise. The rectifier module is connected to a transformer as a voltage source. The charger module is connected to the rectifier module as a voltage source and the output of the charger module is connected to the dry battery and inverter module. The inverter module is connected to the voltage provided by the charger module and dry battery. The static switch input which is used as the switching switch from the UPS main system to bypass mode is connected to the inverter module, and its output is connected to the PZEM- 022 LCD panel, the fan, and load that will be used later. Akuarium merupakan suatu sistem yang tidak hanya terdiri dari wadah yang terbuat dari kaca saja, namun sebuah akuarium juga harus didukung oleh sistem yang baik untuk dapat menjadi tempat hidup yang ideal untuk ikan yang dipelihara. Beberapa alat penunjang sistem pada akuarium, seperti lampu untuk pencahayaan, pompa filter untuk memfiltrasi air yang ada di dalam akuarium, pemanas air untuk menstabilkan suhu air tempat ikan hidup, dan pemberi pakan ikan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pakan ikan menjadi solusi untuk mendapatkan sistem akuarium yang ideal. Namun alat penunjang akuarium yang beredar dipasaran masihlah bekerja secara manual atau harus diatur secara manual saat dibutuhkan. Berangkat dari masalah ini, memanfaatkan modul pemroses akan dibuat suatu sistem otomatisasi alat penunjang akuarium yang ada. Alat penunjang akuarium ini terdiri dari lampu akuarium, mesin pemberi makan otomatis dan pemanas air. Tidak hanya sistem otomatisasi komponen penunjang akuarium saja, namun juga akan ada sistem monitoring visual untuk melihat kondisi akuarium dari jarak jauh menggunakan ponsel pintar memanfaatkan internet. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah sistem otomatisasi alat penunjang akuarium dapat berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai yang sudah ditentukan, serta sistem monitoring visual juga dapat berjalan dengan baik. Dalam penelitian ini, jenis ikan yang menjadi penentu indikator kebutuhan akuarium seperti suhu, waktu pemberian pakan dan lainnya adalah jenis Ikan Mas Koki.

- Abstract
This study discusses an automatic hand washing system with water and liquid soap that comes out automatically. The results of this study are used as material for electronics training activities at high school level in the form of community service activities. This system can be applied to a place to wash hands in schools, colleges or malls. Water sources can be collected or directly using a water pipe, while liquid soap uses a bottle holder or the like. The water and liquid soap control system has a separate or separate circuit. The system for controlling water consists of an infrared sensor module which is applied as a proximity sensor, a relay module and a solenoid valve to open or close the water tap. The use of a solenoid valve when the water source uses a direct tap and the use of a water pump for the water source uses a reservoir. The system for controlling liquid soap consists of a proximity sensor module, a switching transistor circuit, and a mini DC submersible pump. All modules are tested to determine the characteristics of each module, so that you know the type of relay module and switching transistors to be used. The type of relay used is the active low type and the switching transistor type used is PNP. There were two systems that were tested, and they worked properly according to the original design, so it could be said that the whole system was working well. - Abstract
In the concept of circular economy, paradigm of garbage as something that has a meaning (material recovery) so as to lower production costs and save natural resources that are not renewable and maintain the environment. By using circular economy principle, where the value of products and materials are maintained and utilized for as long as possible, so that landfill can be limited as small as possible. In Indonesia itself, there are several ways of collecting electronic waste from community sources, such as channeled through dropbox and Waste Bank for recycling. In unraveling the problem of waste, there must be social and economic institutions that cooperate with each other in their activities, for the sustainability of the movement in the community, both social movements and social engineers in changing the paradikma of waste management in the community. Because household electronic waste from waste banks is almost always present in every weighing. The knowledge of workers in lapak is very minimal to ascertain whether the goods can still function if repaired or must be channeled for recycling. Therefore, SampahQu intends to set up a small workshop in lapaknya for the management of electronic waste from households, which will try to invite teenagers in their villages and participants of the SampahQu network, to participate in this activity, in the hope as one way to foster environmental concern to them. The solution offered by the PKM team to SampahQu Bp Posma is to make an approach to the participants to build their internal motivation first, that garbage has a high value if it can be managed correctly, while supporting the Reuse and Recovery program, by transferring knowledge of the value of junk goods. This activity is realized in the form of a workshop class program SampahQuABSTRAK:Dalam konsep circular economy, paradigma sampah sebagai sesuatu yang mempunyai arti (material recovery) sehingga mampu menurunkan biaya produksi dan menyelamatkan sumber daya alam yang tidak terbarukan serta menjaga lingkungan. Dengan menggunakan prinsip circular economy, dimana nilai produk dan material dijaga dan dimanfaatkan selama mungkin, sehingga timbunan sampah dapat dibatasi sekecil mungkin. Di Indonesia sendiri, ada beberapa cara pengumpulan sampah elektronik dari sumber masyarakat, seperti disalurkan melalui dropbox dan Bank Sampah untuk di daur ulang. Dalam mengurai masalah sampah harus ada lembaga sosial dan ekonomi yang saling bekerjasama dalam kegiatannya, demi keberlanjutan gerakannya di masyarakat, baik gerakan sosial ataupun perekayasa sosial dalam mengubah paradikma kelola sampah di masyarakat. Dikarenakan sampah elektronik rumah tangga dari bank sampah hampir selalu ada di setiap penimbangan. Pengetahuan pekerja di lapak sangatlah minim untuk memastikan apakah barang – barang rongsok itu masih bisa berfungsi jika diperbaiki ataukah harus disalurkan untuk didaur ulang. Oleh karena itu, SampahQu bermaksud mendirikan bengkel kecil di lapaknya untuk pengelolaan sampah elektronik dari rumah tangga, yang dimana akan mencoba mengajak orang muda di sekitar lapak dan partisipan jejaring SampahQu, untuk ikut dalam aktivitas ini, dengan harapan sebagai salah satu cara untuk menumbuhkan kepedulian lingkungan kepada mereka. Solusi yang ditawarkan tim PKM kepada SampahQu Bp Posma adalah membuat suatu kegiatan pendekatan kepada para partisipan untuk membangun motivasi internal mereka lebih dulu, bahwa sampah punya nilai yang tinggi kalau bisa dikelola dengan benar, sekaligus mendukung program reuse dan recovery, dengan melakukan transfer knowledge nilai barang rongsokan. 12. Sistem Pengendali Smart-Kontak dengan Aplikasi Android dan Web

- Abstract
Smart-kontak is a portable power outlet that can be controlled remotely by using Android application and website. Android application can run smart-kontak through Bluetooth, whereas website can manage smart-kontak through Wi-Fi. Both Android application and website can control the power button of the smart-kontak, however there is an additional feature on the website as a timer setting which will set how long the smart-kontak be on. The on/off status and remaining time of the smart-kontak can be seen on Android application and website. Its system design uses microcontroller LOLIN D32 as processing module and Arduino Software (IDE) to write the program. Android application is designed by using Android Studio Software while the website is written with HTML. System testing is done by controlling the smart-kontak through Android application and website. The testing shows that smart-kontak can be run through Android application and website according to the program and all modules function well.ABSTRAK: Smart-kontak merupakan stopkontak portable yang dapat dikendalikan dari jarak jauh dengan menggunakan aplikasi Android dan situs web. Aplikasi Android dapat mengendalikan smart-kontak melalui Bluetooth, sedangkan situs web dapat mengendalikan smart-kontak melalui Wi-Fi. Aplikasi Android dan situs web dapat mengatur on/off dari smart-kontak, namun pada situs web terdapat fitur tambahan berupa timer untuk mengatur lamanya smart-kontak menyala. A plant factory has been developed at Horticultural Research Centre, MARDI Serdang. The cultivation approach under the plant factory consists of nine units planting racks with each rack having seven tiers or levels that can cultivate up to 900 crops per rack. Each unit of planting racks has been installed with electrical conductivity (EC) and pH monitoring system. EC is a meaningful indicator of water quality, soil salinity and fertilizer concentration. In this study, the data for EC and temperature were taken for each level different locations (three points along the rack) to evaluate the fertilizer quality distribution. The objective of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of EC and temperature distribution on the planting rack of vertical farming system under the plant factory. From the study, it was found that EC and temperature parameters were not significantly different at each level and the point location of the vertical farming system. EC and temperature parameters were significantly different with the time (week) and point location from week to week. The effect of the interaction between time (week) and level on EC and temperature parameters were not statistically different. Therefore, it can be concluded that the effect of EC and temperature distribution at different levels of the vertical farming system did not depend on the time.

14. Effects of Root Zone Cooling on Lactuca Sativa Cultivation Under Roof Top Garden Structure in Tropical Climatic Conditions

A roof top garden structure was installed on top of a 20-foot freight container plant factory in MARDI Serdang, Selangor. The roof top garden consists of 3 major components which is a rain shelter, a reticulated hydroponic growing system via Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) and a chiller system to chill and control nutrient-water temperature in the fertilizer tank. Lactuca sativa was cultivated using root zone cooling, with a hydroponic setup at ambient temperature as control to study the effects of the root zone cooling system (RZC) on the crop yields in the tropics. The weight of crop, weight of root, leaf width and leaf numbers of Lactuca sativa have been selected as yield parameters, recorded and analyzed. From the results, all the growing parameters performance for Lactuca sativa grown in root zone cooling method were found to better compared to control. For yield parameters performance, Lactuca sativa grown in control were found to be better, compared to root zone cooling method. The yield weight for Lactuca sativa cultivated using control is higher than RZC system by 39.4 %, ranging from 36.69- 39.04 g using control and from 20.59-23.66 g by using RZC method. Roots weight for Lactuca sativa cultivated using control method is better than RZC by 14.1 %, ranging from 5.73- 6.22 g using control, meanwhile from 4.69-5.34 g by using RZC respectively. Number of leaves for Lactuca sativa cultivated using control method is more than RZC by 26 %, ranging from 14-15 using control and static at 11 by using RZC system. The leaves dimension for Lactuca sativa cultivated using control is bigger than RZC by 48 %. The range of Lactuca sativa leaves dimension cultivated using control method is from 580.35-670.27 cm2, meanwhile by RZC is from 318.68-348.45 cm2. 15. PELATIHAN PHOTOSHOP UNTUK PEMBUATAN LAPORAN PADA WORD DAN POWER POINT DI SMA TARSISIUS II JAKARTA

This PKM activity is implemented in the form of extracurricular teaching at Tarsisius II High School Jakarta. The training targets are high school students and are targeted to be able to use Photoshop applications to support report generation using Microsoft Word, PDF files and Power Point. Use Photoshop to edit images needed in reports or for presentation needs. The contents of the training materials are related to images for copying, pasting, cropping, separating images, providing additional information on images, changing text on images, editing photos, making banners or activity posters, as well as applications using the snipping tool. This training is given for one semester in school extracurricular activities, with a schedule every Monday at 12.00 – 14.00 during the period from September to November 2021. The activity has been running since September 6, 2021. This activity is a community service program that is carried out routinely and financed by research institute and service to the community of Tarumanagara University. This activity is offered through the principal of SMA Tarsisius II Jakarta who forwards this information to the principal, Pak Adi, who is part of the school curriculum. The head of the implementing team has communicated with the principal, and extracurricular activities will be carried out for one year. This activity was carried out online due to the PPKM level 3 emergency situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but it was planned to be carried out offline. Materials will be made and prepared for each meeting and are scheduled for 10 meetings this semester. Photoshop training lecturers are lecturers and students of Electrical Engineering at Tarumanagara University. Outcomes produced by designing posters or banners for high school student participants and seminars for lecturers who support this activity.Kegiatan PKM ini diterapkan dalam bentuk pengajaran ektrakurikuler di SMA Tarsisius II Jakarta. Sasaran pelatihan para siswa SMA dan ditargetkan mampu menggunakan aplikasi photoshop untuk menunjang pembuatan laporan menggunakan microsoft word, file pdf dan power point. Penggunaan photoshop untuk meng-edit gambar yang dibutuhkan di dalam laporan atau untuk kebutuhan presentasi. Isi materi pelatihan berkaitan dengan gambar untuk pengerjaan copy, paste, crop, memisahkan gambar, memberikan keterangan tambahan pada gambar, mengganti tulisan pada gambar, meng-edit foto, membuat spanduk atau poster kegiatan, serta aplikasi penggunaan snipping tool. Pelatihan ini diberikan selama satu semester dalam kegiatan ektrakurikuler sekolah, dengan jadwal setiap hari senin pukul 12.00 – 14.00 selama periode bulan September sampai November 2021. Kegiatan sudah berjalan mulai tanggal 06 September 2021. Kegiatan ini merupakan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan rutin dan dibiayai oleh lembaga penelitian dan pengadian kepada masyarakat Universitas Tarumanagara. Kegiatan ini ditawarkan melalui kepala sekolah SMA Tarsisius II Jakarta yang meneruskan informasi ini kepada kepala pak Adi yang merupakan bagian kurikulum sekolah. Ketua tim pelaksana sudah berkomunikasi dengan kepala sekolah, dan kegiatan ektrakurikuler akan dilaksanakan selama satu tahun. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara daring karena situasi darurat PPKM level 3 dikarenakan masih dalam kondisi pandemi Covid-19, tetapi akan direncanakan untuk dilakukan secara luring. Materi akan dibuatkan dan dipersiapkan untuk setiap kali pertemuan dan dijadwalkan untuk 10 kali pertemuan pada semester ini. Tenaga pengajar pelatihan photoshop adalah dosen dan mahasiswa Teknik Elektro Universitas Tarumanagara. Covid-19 is an infectious disease that was first discovered in Malaysia on 24 January 2020. It has become the main issues globally and infected many people around the world. Physical-distancing is a practice that is suggested by the World Health Organization to limit the spread of Covid-19 by keeping distance of at least 1 meter from each other. There are many seats installed in public places such as schools and hospitals as well as public transport like buses and flights. It is very useful and good if the seats able to give alarm so that the users always practicing physical distance. This study presents a development of miniature prototype that will give alarm to public chair user if the physical distancing is not followed. The system is built using STM32F446RE ARM microcontroller to control the operation of alert device, push-buttons as the weight sensors, 7-segment displays to inform the status of the device and a buzzer to give alarm sound. Findings show that the system is working accordingly and able to remind its users to keep physical distancing thus helping against the spread of Covid-19.

In this modern era, Electricity is the energy needed for human life. The dominant human needs for using electronics, lighting and running the machine make the electricity has an important thing. All of them makes electricity must be supplied so that the tools can work. Many of electronics used to make electricity credit on kWh meter prepaid will quickly run out. The impact of power loss that happens repeatedly because depletion of electricity credit makes electronics has short life, this is often happens because the user cannot monitor kWh meter prepaid. In this project, system can also monitor the status of electricity credit, abnormal incident and the estimated time of electricity credits running out. This system uses 3 photodiode sensors. It’s for detecting pulse status when the pulse is at a minimum condition of 10 kWh, detecting an abnormal incident in case of damage or problems and detection estimated pulse depletion time to find out how long the electrical electricity credit has run out. This system is designed to detect the change of kWh status from the indicator LED at kWh meter. The receive data will be processed to determine the condition of the remaining pulse or kWh meter state. The Controller of this system uses microcontroller which receive data from sensor. This system successfully displays data on LCD and LED indicator and can send data to user number via SMS when entering the minimum limit, while the pulse at 7, 4 and 1 kWh and gives the estimated timeout of deplection pulse. Nutrient film technique (NFT) is a hydroponic technique, whereby a very shallow stream of water containing all the dissolved nutrients required for plant growth is re-circulated past the bare roots of plants in a watertight gully, also known as channels. Problems commonly associated with NFT hydroponic system such as water temperature, can easily increase under direct sunlight in the tropics region, especially in the roof top garden, that can affect the quality of fertiliser used to cultivate the crop. Therefore, a study to develop a cooling system for NFT hydroponic technique is significant to control the water-dissolved nutrient temperatures suitable for crop growth. This paper highlights the studies conducted on fertiliser concentration distribution in the NFT hydroponics root zone cooling (HRZC) system for Lactuca sativa cultivation on roof top garden under the influence of water temperature, air temperature, relative humidity and ambient carbon dioxide. The fertiliser concentration distribution is determined by taking the electric conductivity (EC) reading of the fertiliser flowing along the NFT channels within three targeted points (left, middle, right) atfour different height levels of the cultivation beneath the roof top garden. The EC readings of the fertiliser remained steady, except for the tank along the levels from left, middle and right locations ranging from 1.64–1.66 µS. The water temperature, air temperature, relative humidity and ambient carbon dioxide fluctuated along these three points ranging from 20.50–22.80°C, 31.39–32.23°C, 67.06–68.65%, and 459.39–472.13 ppm, respectively. It was found that under the influence of those environment parameters and NFT root zone cooling system with different level and height, the fertiliser concentration distribution from point to point of data taken is not significantly different along the NFT channels. This finding is significant that integration of NFT root zone cooling system is an alternative to Lactuca sativa cultivation on roof top garden, despite the affecting surrounding temperature that may affect the quality and quantity of fertiliser and crops cultivation. This technique can be extended for the cultivation of other hydroponic vegetables, rice and flowers and promote the culture of roof top farming in the society to avoid the highly polluted soil on the ground environment that may bioaccumulate into the plant system that may ended up as a health threat to fellow consumers.

Trash bins are available in various places, but many people are still littering. Trash dumped carelessly can cause unpleasant odors, germs and bacteria that cause illness. To revive the public, several bins are made as attractive as possible to increase public interest to dispose trash in place. The trash designed can open the cover automatically, detects the incoming trash and trash detecting capacity when fully filled. When the trash is put in the trash bin, it will be detected and will be immediately issued to the sounds stored via MP3 module that sound "Thank you for throwing trash in its place, keep the environment clean around you". Furthermore, when the photodiode detects the trash that has been fully filled, data will be sent to the LED indicator module through the radio frequencies gaussian frequency shift keying (GFSK) modulation. Based on the tests performed, the entire sensor module, processor module, the transmitter module and receiver module work properly and effectively. The system has been designed in expectation helping to help the people to dispose of trash in place.Tempat sampah sudah banyak tersedia diberbagai tempat, namun masih ada sebagian masyarakat yang membuang sampah sembarangan. Sampah-sampah yang dibuang sembarangan dapat menimbulkan bau yang tidak sedap serta kuman dan bakteri yang menyebabkan penyakit. Untuk menyadarkan kembali masyarakat, beberapa tempat sampah dibuat semenarik mungkin agar masyarakat tertarik untuk membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Tempat sampah yang dirancang dapat membuka penutup tempat sampah secara otomatis, akan mendeteksi sampah yang masuk dan mendeteksi kapasitas sampah ketika terisi penuh. Proses sintesis kimia, khususnya larutan-larutan kimia yang berbahaya, kerap kali dilakukan menggunakan pengaman seadanya. Faktor keselamatan dari pekerja juga kadangkala terabaikan, sehingga kecelakaan pada saat bekerja dengan bahan-bahan kimia berbahaya tersebut sangat mungkin terjadi walaupun langkah kerja telah sesuai dengan prosedur yang ada. Kecelakaan kerja ini dapat berupa insiden peledakan dan keracunan uap dari larutan kimia berbahaya. Sebenarnya, masalah ini dapat diatasi menggunakan sebuah glove box. Akan tetapi, solusi ini belumlah cukup mengingat proses sintesis ini dilakukan secara berulang-ulang dalam jumlah besar pada proses industri. Faktor kelalaian manusia dan kecenderungan manusia untuk lelah dan jenuh saat melakukan pekerjaan yang sama berulang-ulang turut memicu terjadinya kecelakaan pada saat bekerja. Berdasarkan hal ini, maka dirancanglah otomatisasi proses sintesis larutan-larutan kimia berbahaya menggunakan sebuah lengan robotik di dalam glove box yang dikendalikan secara wireless. Proses yang terjadi di dalam glove box ini dalam rangka sintesis bahan-bahan kimia berbahaya dimulai dari persiapan larutan awal, penuangan larutan awal ke dalam bejana campur, pengadukan, dan proses peletakan bejana campur ke dalam batch agar proses sintesis kimia dapat dilakukan lebih dari satu kali. Alat yang dirancang akan menggantikan fungsi tangan manusia dengan sebuah lengan robotik yang ditempatkan di dalam sebuah glove box yang telah dilengkapi dengan sebuah sistem pengisian larutan. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan kerja dan memudahkan pekerja dalam melakukan proses sintesis kimia berisiko bahaya. Pada perancangan ini dirancang sebuah sistem yang berfungsi untuk mengawasi kinerja dan mengatur operasi mesin packaging pada pabrik wafer secara otomatis dengan menggunakan zigbee sebagai media komunikasi data. Pemantauan dilakukan melalui layar komputer yang menampilkan representasi dari mesin yang dipantau. Pemantauan meliputi kuantitas produk yang dihasilkan dan keadaan mesin produksi. Pengaturan meliputi penanganan masalah ketika terjadi masalah pada saat produksi berlansung, seperti downtime pada salah satu mesin packaging supaya target produksi tercapai. Rancangan ini menampilkan keadaan mesin saat beroperasi (ON) dan saat tidak beroperasi (OFF), menjaga kestabilan suhu heater, pengaturan ulang proses produksi secara otomatis apabila terjadi downtime pada salah satu mesin. Energi listrik telah menjadi bagian yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Berbagai peralatan yang kita gunakan memerlukan energi listrik, dan untuk dapat menggunakan energi listrik, kita harus membayar kepada penyedia jasa layanan listrik. Daya listrik yang tersedia terbatas, dan penggunaan melebihi batas akan menghentikan pasokan listrik. Penghematan biaya yang harus dibayarkan juga bisa dilakukan dengan mengurangi jumlah pemakaian daya listrik. Perancangan dan realisasi alat pengendali penggunaan daya listrik ini akan merancang sebuah sistem pengendalian listrik yang berdasarkan pada tingkat prioritas beban, dan jadwal pemakaian yang telah ditentukan. Sistem pengendalian ini akan terdiri dari sebuah komputer pengendali dan alat yang dirancang. Alat yang dirancang terdiri dari sebuah mikrokontroler sebagai inti, dan dilengkapi dengan modul Wi-Fi untuk menyatukan sistem bila ada lebih dari 1 unit alat yang dirancang. Sensor arus akan digunakan untuk menghitung arus yang digunakan oleh beban-beban yang dikendalikan. Adapun beban-beban yang dikendalikan adalah lampu, pendingin ruangan (AC) dan komputer. Beban yang dikendalikan oleh tiap unit alat yang dirancang adalah 2 buah komputer desktop, 1 buah beban setara AC ¾ PK dan 3 buah lampu pijar dengan daya masing-masing 100 watt. Pengujian keseluruhan sistem dibagi menjadi 3 tahap, yaitu pengujian fungsi prioritas, pengujian fungsi penjadwalan, dan pengujian fungsi modul sensor arus. Dari ketiga tahap pengujian yang dilakukan, sistem yang dirancang disimpulkan dapat berfungsi dengan baik.

ABSTRAC T : in this modern era, Electricity is the energy needed for human life. The dominant human needs for using electronics, lighting and running the machine make the electricity has an important thing. All of them makes electricity must be supplied so that the tools can work. Many of electronics used to make electricity credit on kWh meter prepaid will quickly run out. The impact of power loss that happens repeatedly because depletion of electricity credit makes electronics has short life, this is often happens because the user cannot monitor kWh meter prepaid. In this project, system can also monitor the status of electricity credit, abnormal incident and the estimated time of electricity credits running out. This system uses 3 photodiode sensors. It’s for detecting pulse status when the pulse is at a minimum condition of 10 kWh, detecting an abnormal incident in case of damage or problems and detection estimated pulse depletion time to find out how long the electrical electricity credit has run out. This system is designed to detect the change of kWh status from the indicator LED at kWh meter. The receive data will be processed to determine the condition of the remaining pulse or kWh meter state. The Controller of this system uses microcontroller which receive data from sensor. This system successfully displays data on LCD and LED indicator and can send data to user number via SMS when entering the minimum limit, while the pulse at 7, 4 and 1 kWh and gives the estimated timeout of deplection pulse. With this monitoring system created is expected to reduce anxiety about the depletion of electricity pulse when leaving the machine or electronic who always standby without supervision ABSTRAK Listrik adalah energi yang dibutuhkan bagi kehidupan manusia pada zaman modern ini. Kebutuhan manusia yang dominan dalam menggunakan elektronik, penerangan dan menjalankan mesin membuat listik mempunyai peranan penting. Kebutuhan tersebut membuat listrik harus tetap bisa tersuplai sehingga alat-alat tersebut dapat bekerja. Banyaknya alat elektronik yang digunakan membuat pulsa pada kWh meter prabayar akan cepat habis. Dampak dari matinya listrik akibat habisnya pulsa listrik secara terus menerus dapat membuat alat elektronik tersebut rentan rusak, hal ini sering terjadi akibat pengguna tidak bisa memonitoring kWh meter prabayar tersebut. Dalam perancangan ini, sistem dapat memonitoring status pulsa, peristiwa abnormal dan estimasi waktu habisnya pulsa. Sistem ini menggunakan 3 sensor photodiode yaitu untuk mendeteksi status pulsa apabila pulsa berada pada kondisi minimum yaitu 10 kWh, peristiwa abnormal apabila terjadi kerusakan atau masalah dan estimasi waktu habisnya pulsa untuk mengetahui berapa lama waktu habisnya pulsa listrik. Sistem ini dirancang untuk mendeteksi Perubahan status LED indikator pada kWh meter. Pengendalian sistem dilakukan dengan menggunakan mikrokontroler yang menerima data dari sensor. Data yang diterima akan diproses untuk menentukan kondisi dari sisa pulsa atau keadaan kWh meter. Sistem yang dibuat ini berhasil menampilkan data pada LCD dan LED indikator serta dapat mengirimkan data ke nomor pengguna melalui SMS pada saat kondisi memasuki batas minimun, saat sisa pulsa berada pada 7, 4 dan 1 kWh dan memberikan estimasi waktu habisnya pulsa. Sistem yang dibuat ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi rasa khawatir akibat matinya alat elektronik mesin dikarenakan pulsa habis saat ditinggalkan oleh pengguna.

The study was conducted to assess the quality of strawberry (Fragaria x Ananassa) cultivated in tropical areas. There are two treatments set up in this study. The root zone temperature (RZT) in Treatment 1 was controlled around 25 °C (±2 °C), while Treatment 2 was left to experience fluctuating RZT varying between 27 and 30 °C. Both treatments were left to experience fluctuating ambient temperature, varying from 21 to 34 °C. Samples of fruit from tropical highland areas were obtained and used as a Control Treatment in assessing the quality of strawberry produced. Though the Control Treatment obtained better results in terms of fruit size, lowering the RZT in Treatment 1 significantly increased the fruit’s diameter and weight up to 8.85 and 21.60%, respectively, compared to Treatment 2. About 70.00% of the strawberries produced in Treatment 1 were of marketable size (>5 g) compared to 46.67% of the strawberries produced in Treatment 2. Treatment 1 and Treatment 2 produced strawberries that were significantly sweeter compared to those produced in Control Treatment. More than 70.00% of the strawberries produced in both treatments were above the average sweetness of the Festival variety (Brix index: >8°Brix), compared to approximately 50.00% of the strawberries produced in the Control Treatment. In conclusion, lowering the RZT was found to produce better fruit yield for strawberry cultivation in the tropics, thus may provide an alternative solution that can comply with the growing strawberry demand.

Soft soil in rice field has a hardpan layer of less than 0.3Mpa. The usage of farm mechanization in rice field cannot be performed due to the hardpan structure cannot accommodate the load of heavy machinery. To overcome this problem, the method of soft soil replacement is used in order to revitalize the hardpan layer which has been damaged due to the stagnant water problem. Field study was conducted to test the soft soil replacement method to solve the problem of land on soft soil plot in Alor Senibung. A total of 4 plots have been prepared for the experiments where the top layer of paddy soil has been removed and replaced with other soil. After the soil has been compacted, the hardness of the hardpan was measured from time to time and is presented in this paper. The results from this study are expected to overcome the soft soil problems.

- Abstract
The environment that suits the growth of most kind of crops is very crucial in order to guarantee high quality yields that can be controlled according to the desired parameters and not easily damaged or stunted during its growth. Naturally Ventilated Greenhouse (NVGH) is one of the methods to attain the controlled environment and it is proven to be highly effective in controlling the suitable environment for most kind of plants or vegetables. Furthermore, NVGH can save energy where mechanical, electrical and labour power required is very small, require no controlling procedures or complicated handling, suitable to tropical climate and the cost to build is very low compared to other plant protection structures. The tropical country climate is inconsistent all year long and even though the NVGH can control its environment, it has some weaknesses in which the air and the temperature inside the NVGH can be easily influenced by the outside conditions of the structure. Most kinds of crops require temperature between 20-35ºC and relative air humidity between 80-90% in order to ensure a standard quality harvest. An evaporative cooling system using four misting fans was studied inside a NVGH of 10m width, 50m long and 4m high. The aim was to modify the environment inside the NVGH so that it could control the inside temperature between 20-35ºC and relative humidity between 80-90% all day long. Other environmental parameters such as light intensity, outside air temperature and carbon dioxide were also studied in order to see the correlation and modification effect on the environment in the NVGH. All environment data studied was recorded and statistically analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) software. Temperature inside the NVGH was found to be strongly correlated with time (min), outside temperature, light intensity and relative air humidity while carbon dioxide only gave a moderate effect on the temperature inside the NVGH. Keinginan pencapaian diukur menggunakan sod selidik yang diadaptasi daripada sod selidik Manifst Need Questionaire (Steer dan Braunstein, 1976), lokus kawalan diukur menggunakan sod selidik Rotter 's Locus of Control Scale (Rotter, 1966) dan pengambilan risiko diukur menggunakan sod selidik pengambilan risiko (Institut Industri Kecil Asia, 1981). Jaringan sosial dan kejayaan usahawan diukur menggunakan instrumen yang dibentuk sendiri oleh penyelidik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan majoriti usahawan AIM adalah terdiri daripada wanita (92.6%) yang berumur antara 40 hingga 50 tahun. Secara keseluruhan sampel kajian adalah berpendidikan rendah iaitu setakat sekolah rendah dan menengah rendah (78.0%)). Sampel kajian menjalankan perniagaan dalam bidang perniagaan makanan, pakaian, perusaham (pemprosesan makanan dan ubat tradisional), borong (perabut dan peralatan elektrik), perkhidmatan (kelas Al-Quran, kontraktor, dan bengkel) dan pertanian. Sebahagian besar menjalankan pemiagaan berbentuk peruncitan (24.6%). Min pendapatan usahawan AIM adalah RM 1629.14 sebulan (S.P=RM 1460.16). Secara keseluruhannya usahawan AIM boleh dikategorikan sebagai usahawan sederhana berjaya.
