The leaf spring fabrication process, which consists of various processes, will result in susceptibility to atomic defects. Therefore, the identification of defects at the atomic scale through crystallography is very important in analyzing the slip mechanism to minimize the occurrence of leaf spring failure. This study aimed to analyze the causes of leaf spring failure by crystallography through an experimental approach. Residual stress testing was carried out using XRD with the sin 2 approach. The Sin 2 method uses angles -20°, -16°, -12°, -4°, 0°, 4°, 12°, 16°, 20°. Crystal orientation and texture were performed using MAUD 2.94 software to analyze the Miller index and crystallographic orientation distribution. Hardness test using Vickers micro with indentation points near and far from the leaf spring fracture surface. Leaf spring fracture morphology was tested using a DSLR camera and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The results of the residual stress analysis show a wavy elliptical curve indicating that the broken leaf spring has a shear stress and a stress gradient. The resulting residual stress has compressive properties with a value of -278.5±17.4 with the resulting crystal orientation consisting of miller index planes (110), (200), (211). The crystal orientation plane (200) has a characteristic texture that is oriented towards the Normal Direction (ND). Normal direction is indicated by a high probability value of 1.20. A high probability indicates that the leaf spring has material surface defects. The void is the beginning of the formation of crack initiation and becomes the center of stress concentration.

The emergency curriculum policy was implemented to anticipate students' learning difficulties during distance learning using the home learning program via television. This research aims to describe the depth of local wisdom material as thematic learning for students' knowledge. The research used a qualitative descriptive method about using learning through TELEVISION to implement emergency curriculum policies. The informants processed were two (2) teachers of a grade 4 elementary school who had previously designed learning tools based on emergency curriculum procedures. The participants in this study were fifty-nine (59) children in grade four (4). This research was conducted during a three-month pandemic in the second term of 2021. The research results explain that for each material on the topic 'Where I Live', local wisdom material was found and broadcasted for 30 minutes. The obtained result from the data of students who answered seven (7) related questions studied through television, which contained local wisdom content, was that 80.04% of students said 'yes', 15.76% gave no answer, and 6.65% said 'maybe'. Implementation of distance learning using television media requires a strong synergy between teachers, students, and parents.

Fused deposition modeling of 3D printing is the process of making workpieces or parts by adding filaments to each layer. Some indicators of a high-quality product of 3D printing are the precisions dimensions, the surface roughness, and tensile strength. This research aims to find the parameters most affecting surface roughness and tensile strength. The research design used an experimental method with input parameters: (1) print speed (15-35 mm/s), (2) print temperature (200-210°C), (3) layer height (0.1 – 0.3 mm), (4) infill line directions (0-90°), and dependent variables were surface roughness and tensile strength. The data distribution used the L9 orthogonal array, and the statistic analysis used ANOVA. Material uses nanographite-reinforced polylactic acid (PLA) filament. The results indicate that print parameters that significantly affect surface roughness are layer height and infill line directions. The best surface roughness on the layer height parameter is 0.1 mm, and the infill line directions parameter is 90°. Based on ANOVA analysis, print speed, print temperature, and layer height do not significantly affect tensile strength, but infill line directions significantly affect tensile strength. The best tensile strength on infill line directions is 90°. The best average tensile strength with nanographite-reinforced PLA filament is 38.56 N/mm2, with 35 m/s print speed, 205 °C print temperature, 0.1 mm layer height, and 90° infill line direction parameter. The best average surface roughness with nanographite-reinforced PLA filament is 0.66 µm, with 35 m/s print speed, 205 °C print temperature, 0.1 mm layer height, and 90° infill line direction parameter.

This study aims to describe how the implementation of the use of lava lamp media in science learning in grade 2 elementary schools. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The flow of this research is to make preparations before implementation, implementation, and analysis of implementation results. Preparation for implementation is carried out by preparing instruments in the form of materials used to make lava lamps and Student Worksheets (LKPD). Implementation is carried out by inviting students to make a lava lamp project and make observations during the manufacturing process, the results of which will be written in the form of writing on the LKPD. Analysis of implementation results is done by reducing data, displaying, and drawing conclusions. Based on data from the results of the analysis of student responses related to the lava lamp media used in science learning on the material of light and the nature of objects, it was found that 95% of students were happy and understood in participating in science learning through the lava lamp media. It can be concluded that the lava lamp media is very suitable for use in learning science in class 2 of States Elementary School IV Lidah Wetan.

This research and development aims to produce character-based textbooks using multimedia that are of good quality in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness that can improve students' critical thinking skills. The research adopted the 4D model, which consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires, observation sheets of teacher and student activities, student response questionnaires, and critical thinking tests (pretest and posttest). The results of the study indicated that: (1) the character-based textbooks were highly appropriate, (2) the textbooks were found to be highly practical based on observations of teacher and student activities and received very positive feedback from students, (3) the textbooks were effective in improving critical thinking skills, as demonstrated by the medium category of n-gain on the critical thinking test and the posttest average score being higher than the pretest average score. This character-based textbook can assist teachers in instilling character and improving critical thinking skills in fourth grade elementary school students.

Universities are forced to design and implement innovative learning processes so that students can achieve learning achievements that include aspects of attitudes, knowledge, and skills optimally and always relevant so that the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Regulation no. 3 of 2020 concerning National Higher Education Standards to implement the Merdeka Campus Program policy with the aim of this program being able to develop the capacity of the nation's children in the world of education with 8 (eight) forms of activity in it so that the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia organizes Internship activities at the People's House ( MDRR) The House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) as a partner of the internship/work practice of the Merdeka Campus Program. The research method used in the descriptive qualitative research method. The results of the study show that the implementation of the independent campus program in internship activities at people's homes at the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia has not been carried out properly. This is based on the existing indicators, related to communication experiencing problems with the lack of maximum communication transmission carried out by the implementer. Resources have not run optimally where the facilities in the Secretariat General of the DPR RI cannot be used optimally, then the independent campus website sometimes experiences system errors. The disposition or attitude of the implementers has not gone well, this is evident in the attitude of the implementers who delay the disbursement of pocket money and incentives as well as the difficulty of converting credits in several university campuses in Indonesia. Then the Standard Operating Procedure, in its implementation there is no SOP that regulates the procedure, but there is an Apprenticeship Curriculum at the People's House of the DPR RI as a reference in its implementation

PLA filament has the characteristics of being biodegradable and environmentally friendly. The mechanical properties of PLA filaments have several drawbacks, so the application of PLA filaments is limited. Efforts to improve the mechanical properties are carried out by adding nanographite as reinforcement material so that it becomes a nanocomposite filament. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding nanographite to PLA filament on the mechanical properties and surface roughness of 3D printed products. The addition of 1.5 wt% nanographite was carried out by dissolving with chloroform and nanocomposite filaments produced from printing with a single extrusion machine. Product printing is done with the parameters print speed of 25 mm/s, print temperature of 205 °C, layer height of 0.2 mm, and infill line directions of 45°. Product characteristics in the form of tensile strength are tested by the tensile tester, filament morphology is observed by SEM, and product surface roughness is observed with a surface roughness tester. Data from the test results were analyzed using the t-test statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that the morphology of the PLA/nanographite nanocomposite filaments showed a rougher surface.

Writing this article aims to study the potential of shrimp shell waste to become a biopolymer that can be used in Enhanced Oil Recovery. Indonesia's oil production has decreased, one solution that can be done is Enhanced Oil Recovery, especially chemical injections in the form of polymers. Shrimp shell waste is quite abundant in Indonesia, but its utilization is not optimal. Shrimp shells contain chitin which can be processed into chitosan. Chitosan from shrimp shells can be developed as a biopolymer to increase the viscosity of water and reduce the mobility ratio of water and oil. The writing method used is to review several articles related to the processing of shrimp shells into chitosan biopolymer and polymer injection. Shrimp shell contains 15,33% chitin and the quality of the resulting chitosan has a Degree of Deacetylene (DD) value of 69,87%. Biopolymer obtained from the synthesis of shrimp shells can increase the viscosity of water and has the potential as an injection material in Enhanced Oil recovery, especially chemical injections that can increase the recovery of oil production.

Manufacturing time and energy consumption are two important parameters to evaluate the manufacturing process. The main purpose of this study was to analyze the energy consumption and printing time of 3D printed part between hollow and without any hollow structure. The specimen models were designed according to ASTM D368-IV standards and printed using a 3D printer device. During the printing process, the wall thickness of specimen was varied into three different types, 0.4 mm; 0.8 mm and 0.12 mm. Furthermore, the cavity was filled by polymer resin as main material for strengthening the specimen. Time and energy consumption of manufacturing process was recorded. In addition, the strength of specimens was observed using universal tensile test machine. The results showed that the highest manufacturing speed was occurred on the specimen that had wall thickness of 0.4 mm. Besides that, its parameter had a lowest energy consumption than specimen that had wall thickness 0.12 mm. The wall thickness showed the significant parameter to reduce the energy consumption, printing speed and material usage..

The demand for aluminum in various fields continuously grows, including in the automotive industry. In this industry, aluminum is used as the material for the spare part. Therefore, aluminum with high mechanical properties and low casting defects is required. One of the available alternatives for producing excellent aluminum is through aluminum casting, including die casting. Die casting offers low cost in mass manufacturing of complex shaped components with acceptable casting results. Further, the selection of die-casting parameters and the addition of reinforcing elements can also improve the mechanical properties of aluminum. In this study, we strengthened the Al-Si matrix using High Pressure Die Casting process with particles from snail shell powder (calcium carbonate). Further, this study also explores the mechanical properties and microstructure of the product produced through experiment and optimization. The optimization was adopted to identify the optimum parameter. For the optimization, we used the Taguchi method. Our analysis results suggested that the reinforcing agent from the snail shell powder has the CaO and Ca(OH) _2 phases, with a crystallite size of 106.59 nm. The morphology of the shell powder reinforcing agent showed the presence of agglomeration and interconnected structures, such as skeletons, with average particle size of 0.4 micro. The functional group of the shell powder reinforcing agent showed the OH band during the water absorption by CaO, along with asymmetric C–O with vibration from the carbonate group and Ca–O bound. The most excellent hardness level was identified from T8, with 86.33 HRB and die casting parameters of 0.15% reinforce agents, 750 °C temperature injection, and 50 MPa pressure. Meanwhile, the best tensile strength was found from the T9 sample, with 109,95 MPa and die casting parameters of 0.15% reinforce agents, 800 °C temperature injection, and 60 MPa pressure. Microstructure on the used piston die casting sample with snail shell powder reinforcing agent showed the presence of Al, Si, dendrite, and Al _4 Ca phases. The multiple response analysis on the three factors indicated that the reinforcing agent presented the most significant effects toward the tensile strength and hardness, followed by pressure and temperature injection. Meanwhile, the Taguchi method and ANOVA results showed the optimal parameter die casting was obtained from a combination of 0.15 wt% reinforce agent, 800 °C injection temperature, and 50 MPa pressure. A multiple linear regression mathematical model for tensile strength and hardness was developed from the observed data. In regression model, the value of R ^2 of tensile strength 74.02% and R ^2 of the hardness is 95,18% Thus, the developed model can be effectively used to predict the tensile strength and hardness

In this paper, Metallic Catalytic Converter (MCC) is installed in motorcycle exhausts to produce the minimum CO as well as to produce the optimum engine power. The results from previous research were collected and then used to predict the best MCC design using the Artificial Neural Network Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm (ANN-MOGA). In addition, the ANN parameter tuning process was also carried out using the Taguchi method to find the initial weighting and bias that is able to provide the best and the most stable performance to predict the best MCC design. The best two sets of design solutions out of 70 sets of Pareto solutions were obtained by ANN-MOGA. Those two MCC designs are the optimum emission design and the optimum multi-objective design. The verification results show that the optimum multi-objective design tends to be superior in terms of CO emissions and engine power. In terms of CO emissions, the optimum multi-objective design gets a larger S/N ratio of -10.98, while the optimum emission design only gets an S/N ratio of -11.21. Meanwhile, in terms of engine power, the optimum multi-objective design gets a larger S/N ratio of 16.13, while the optimum emission design only gets an S/N ratio of 15.86 S/N. It is in line with the ANOVA test results which show that the optimum multi-objective design is proven to be better than the optimum emission design.

Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), an arc welding process, is widely used in applications. In practice, SMAW is widely applied to the welding process on hollow square pipe. Performance expected from this welding is the tensile strength of weld joint. The tensile strength is influenced by parameters process which have possibility for an optimization process to become ‘robust’. Robust is a design which less sensitive to the effect of uncertain quantities or noise factors. Taguchi method is the most efficient optimization method which accommodates the noise factors effect and requires less experiment. This study is focusing on optimizing the welding process on hollow square pipe. Parameters process such as welding current (I), electrode angle (θ), root gap (d) and electrode type (E) are adopted as parameters design. Taguchi method are chosen as a strategy and L9 fractional orthogonal array are chosen as the design experiment, which only 9 experiment samples needed from 81 experiments that should have been carried out for full factorial design. The objectivity is to maximize the tensile strength of weld joint. Three replications of L9 fractional orthogonal array Taguchi had been performed to generate the tensile strength and estimates the fluctuation of the output caused by noise factors. This study found that the welding current of 100A (I), electrode angle (θ) of 90°, root gap (d) of 2 mm, and electrode type (E) of E7018 produce the optimum results. Tensile strength improved from this robust parameter design is about 98.39 MPa based on initial parameter design.

This study aims to determine the effect of the employee engagement and the big five personality on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). The object of this research is the lecturers of the Faculty of Economics, Surakarta City Private University. The research used the quantitative method, with SPSS 23.0, for analyzing the data. The data obtained by  distributing a list of questions to 36 lecturers of the Faculty of Economics, Surakarta City Private University, using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was tested using validity and reliability tests. Prior to the hypothesis test using the multiple linear regression analysis tool, the classical assumption test was carried out, while the t test used to determine the significance of the influence of the independent variables on the dependent variable. To find out whether the regression model can be used to predict the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable or the model accuracy test, the F test is used. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that employee engagement has a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior, while big five personality have positive but insignificant effect on the organizational citizenship behavior.

Human resources play an important and strategic role in determining company policy. Superior human resources are required to carry out their duties in a quality and good manner. Human resources need to be well-managed and emphasised so that employees can feel satisfaction at work. Job satisfaction is vital upon measuring the work performance. If the employee is satisfied with the job, the work performance will be better. Job satisfaction also becomes an indicator for the company survival. The purpose of this study is to analyse the significance of the influence of leadership style, work motivation, and work environment on employees’ job satisfaction. This type of study is survey research on the employees at PT Tri Usaha Sejahtera Pratama company. The study population included 800 people. The research sample was 80 employees, which comprised 32 male and 48 female respondents. The sample is taken using the proportional cluster random sampling technique with criteria based on their education background and working period. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis, T-test, model accuracy test and coefficient of determination. The results showed that all variables, including leadership style, work motivation, and work environment have positive influence towards employees’ job satisfaction. The leadership style, work motivation, and work environment have an essential effect on job satisfaction of the employees at PT Tri Usaha Sejahtera Pratama company. Therefore, it can be concluded that job satisfaction at PT Tri Usaha Sejahtera Pratama company can be measured using three variables: leadership style, work motivation, and work environment

The Blalock–Taussig–Thomas Shunt (BTTS) procedure was first introduced by Alfred Blalock, Hellen B. Taussig, and Vivien Thomas in 1944. The procedure is performed by making a connection between the subclavian artery to the pulmonary artery to augment pulmonary blood flow. BTTS is used to palliate neonates born with restrictive pulmonary blood flow disorders (cyanotic congenital heart disease). The modified BTTS (MBTTS) procedure is still seen as high risk and has quite high morbidity and mortality rates, especially in the neonatal group. Recent studies suggest a mortality of up to 15% in the single ventricle group and 3% in the biventricular group. Based on a literature search, several risk factors such as patient weight, shunt size/body weight ratio, underlying cardiac malformations, use of mechanical ventilator support, sternotomy approach and use of CPB machines have been shown to increase mortality. Current perioperative risk assessment methods and recommendations are also covered. In addition, our review article specifically discusses perioperative strategies including strategies for surgeons using the MBTTS procedure (surgical approach, determining shunt size and anastomosis techniques) and postoperative strategies (anticoagulation management and strategy to deal with undershunting/overshunting problems). Resumen: El procedimiento de derivación de Blalock-Taussig-Thomas fue introducido por primera vez por Alfred Blalock, Hellen B. Taussig y Vivien Thomas en 1944. El procedimiento se realiza al hacer una conexión entre la arteria subclavia y la arteria pulmonar para aumentar el flujo sanguíneo pulmonar. El procedimiento de derivación de Blalock-Taussig-Thomas se utiliza para paliar a los recién nacidos que nacen con trastornos restrictivos del flujo sanguíneo pulmonar (cardiopatía congénita cianótica). El procedimiento MBTTS todavía se considera un procedimiento de alto riesgo y tiene tasas de morbilidad y mortalidad bastante altas, especialmente en el grupo neonatal. Estudios recientes sugieren que hay una mortalidad de hasta el 15% en el grupo de un solo ventrículo y del 3% en el grupo de anomalías cardíacas biventrículos. Según la búsqueda bibliográfica, se ha demostrado que varios factores de riesgo, como el peso del paciente, la relación tamaño de la derivación/peso corporal, malformaciones cardíacas subyacentes, uso de asistencia respiratoria mecánica, abordaje de esternotomía y uso de máquinas de CEC, aumentan la mortalidad. También se tratan los métodos y recomendaciones actuales de evaluación de riesgos perioperatorios. Además, nuestro artículo de revisión analiza específicamente las estrategias perioperatorias, incluidas las estrategias para los cirujanos en el procedimiento MBTTS (abordaje quirúrgico, determinación del tamaño de la derivación y técnicas de anastomosis) y las estrategias postoperatorias (manejo de anticoagulación y estrategia para lidiar con problemas de sobrecapacidad/sobrecadencia).

The agricultural sector is one of the contributors to greenhouse gas emissions in Indonesia. The inventory of greenhouse gases in the agricultural sector is not only carried out on land management, but also in the livestock sub sector. Tuban Regency, East Java Province has great potential to contribute to greenhouse gas emissions in the agricultural sector considering that the area of agricultural land and livestock population in this area is very high. This study aims to carry out an inventory of greenhouse gas emissions in the agricultural sector and potential mitigation actions in the same sector. The results of the research are expected to provide input for the Tuban Regency Government in designing mitigation actions that are feasible to implement. The greenhouse gas emission inventory is calculated using Tier-1 IPCC (International Panel on Climate Change) 2006 guidelines by multiplying activity data with emission factors according to IPCC standards. Activity data used for calculating GHG emission comes from secondary data. Meanwhile, the mitigation options obtained from interviews with representatives of farmer groups in Tuban Regency .The results show that the greenhouse gas emissions of the agricultural sector in Tuban Regency in 2019 is 1,665.67 Gg CO2-eq with details of the agricultural sub-sector of 1,092.50 Gg CO2-eq and the livestock sub-sector of 573.17 Gg CO2-eq. In the agricultural sub-sector, Plumpang Subdistrict occupies the top position as a contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and Tuban Subdistrict is the lowest position. Meanwhile, in the livestock sub-sector, Kerek subdistrict occupies the top position in contributing to GHG emissions and the lowest is in Tuban subdistrict. Through the implementation of balanced fertilization mitigation options and the use of low-emission rice varieties, the GHG emission in Tuban Regency can be reduced by up to 156,43 Gg CO2-eq. Both options are selected by farmers because it is easier and cheaper without relying on others.

Polylactic acid (PLA) is one of the most used materials in FDM 3D Printing. Large-scale consumption of PLA on an industrial scale could cause environmental and efficiency problems. Thus, PLA waste and industry waste need to be recycled to limit excessive waste. This study aimed to investigate the change in mechanical property, morphology, and structure of mechanically recycled PLA. Recycling was performed 12 times using the extrusion process with an extrusion temperature nozzle of 170°C. The SEM, structural analysis, and amorphous-crystalline analysis used XRD. The results showed a gradual decrease of tensile strength from each recycle with a total of 20% (13.22 MPa). The decrease percentage equalled the number of recycling. After the 9th recycle, PLA experienced a drastic tensile strength decrease, in which the 12th recycle tensile strength had a 14% (8.17 MPa) reduction. The morphology analysis of the tensile test sample presented significant morphology change, in which morphology defects such as void, flakes, and cracks appeared after the 6th recycle. Although, until 12 times extrusion, it did not significantly affect the PLA phase shape. Mechanical recycle using a multi-extrusion process is not recommended exceeding six times

A failure happens within the camshaft of the minibus when the vehicle is in utilize. The camshaft was a fracture within the bearing between the primary cylinder exhaust valve and the second cylinder suction. This simulation aims to find the causes of camshaft failure utilizing the finite element method with a static structural approach, including simulations of deformation, strain, stress, fatigue life (stress-life and strain-life), and cracks. The method used in this paper is the finite element method with a static structural approach by ANSYS software. The camshaft material is a gray cast iron designed using Solidworks. Pre-processing includes meshing with a size of 3 mm. The value of loading force (1348.28 N) and torque (113400 Nmm) are fixed, and the boundary conditions are varied. Processing includes the process of computation and post-processing into a part that displays the results. The simulation results show that for all the deformation and strain values that are in the elasticity area of the material, the maximum and minimum stress which is below the strength of the material, the location of the maximum values of deformation, strain, and stress is not at the fault location. The simulation of fatigue life both in stress-life and strain-life results in infinite cycles, which is above 106 cycles, while the simulation of cracks results in a decrease in the cycle. Based on the simulation results with the above parameters to the camshaft, it was found that a failure was caused by a defect characterized by reduced fatigue life at the same loading conditions.

Gelatin is a protein extracted from animal collagen tissues in animal skin, bones, ligaments, or connective tissue. Gelatin is highly digestible, so that it is potentially used as a raw material for making edible films. The edible film is a thin layer made for coating or placed on top or between edible food components or can be consumed. In producing edible films made from hydrocolloids, the quality of the films is often fragile, therefore requiring additives that act as plasticizers. A plasticizer is a liquid with a high boiling point that will give soft and flexible properties when mixed with a polymer. The polyol group, including glycerol, sorbitol, and polyethylene glycol (PEG), is commonly used as plasticizers for edible films. The main research results showed that different plasticizers had a significant effect on the physical characteristics of edible films, namely the water vapor transmission rate, but had no significant effect on the tensile strength, thickness, elongation, and chemical characteristics of edible films, namely water content. The best edible film made from Grouper skin gelatin was obtained at a concentration of 1% glycerol plasticizer with physical and chemical characteristics, including the tensile strength of 12.07 MPa, elongation of 67.33%, the thickness of 0.11 mm, water vapor transmission rate of 167.50 g/m2/day, and water content of 13.22%. The amino acid profile analysis results showed that the highest amino acid content of the edible film was glycine at 185,559.12 mg/kg. In comparison, the lowest amino acid was L-Tyrosine at 2,893.97 mg/kg.

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan sejarah pertanian di Kabupaten Deli Serdang pada masa Orde Baru (1968-1998). Artikel ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah dengan empat langkah, yaitu: pengumpulan sumber, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini ada dua, yaitu: sumber primer, berupa arsip, laporan, dan catatan dari Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia, Departemen Pertanian Provinsi Sumatera Utara dan Kabupaten Deli Serdang; sumber sekunder, berupa buku, jurnal, dan terbitan berkala lainnya yang ada di Perpusatakaan Nasional, Perpustakan Pusat Universitas Sumatera Utara, Perpustakaan Daerah, dan sebagainya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum masa Orde Baru Deli Serdang sudah menjadi lumbung padi bagi Sumatera Utara. Hal ini disebabkan kondisi tanah dan geografis Deli Serdang yang sangat mendukung dengan sistem pertanian. Selain itu, lewat program Repelita 1-6 yang digagas Pemerintahan Orde Baru, menjadikan pertanian di Kabupaten Deli Serdang semakin berkembang. Pembangunan pusat pelatihan dan pembibitan pertanian di Kabupaten Deli Serdang juga ikut memberikan andil yang menyebabkan Deli Serdang sampai saat ini masih menjadi pusat lumbung padi di Sumatera Utara.

ABSTRAK. Space-attachment adalah konsep keterikatan ruang yang dikembangkan dari teori place- attachment atau keterikatan tempat yang menggambarkan keterikatan manusia dengan tempat hidupnya berdasar atribut sosial dan lingkungan. Konsep space-attachment pertama kali diungkap berdasar analisis pengembangan teori place-attachment berbasis bincar-bonom di salah satu lingkungan perumahan perdesaan pegunungan di Mandailing, yaitu Singengu. Menarik untuk diteliti apakah lingkungan perumahan/ permukiman lain di kawasan tersebut memiliki ciri yang sama sesuai dengan temuan riset sebelumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memverifikasi hasil riset sebelumnya dan merumuskan karakter desain perumahan perdesaan pegunungan yang berbasis space-attachment khususnya dalam konteks adaptif dan responsif lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma rasionalistik dengan metode kombinasi (mixed-methods) antara deskriptif-kualitatif dan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter desain perumahan berbasis space-attachment yang adaptif dan responsif ditunjukkan pada: 1) aspek keterbacaan (kemudahan mengenali tempat), 2) unsur keragaman (variasi dan perbedaan tempat aktifitas), 3) aspek temporal (ruang-ruang temporal), dan 4) setting tempat (sesuai dengan kondisi lingkungan/ kontur). Empat karakter tersebut menegaskan karakter lingkungan perumahan berbasis space-attachment, bahwa lingkungan perumahan perdesaan di Mandailing tidak hanya terikat dengan tempat (place) yang menitikberatkan pada ‘fisik tempat’ yang bersifat fisik, tetapi lebih terikat kepada space (ruang) yang menitikberatkan pada ‘non-fisik ruang’ dan bersifat tak teraga. The concept of space attachment is developed from place-attachment theory, which describes humans' attachment to their place of life-based on social and environmental attributes. The concept of space-attachment was first revealed based on an analysis of the development of a place-attachment theory based on bincar-bonom in one of the mountainous residential areas in Mandailing, namely Singengu. It is interesting to study whether other housing/settlement environments in the Mandailing area have the same characteristics as previous research findings. This study aims to verify previous research results and formulate the character of the mountainous housing environment based on space-attachment, especially in the context of adaptive and environmentally responsive. This study uses a rationalistic paradigm with a mixed-method between descriptive qualitative and case studies. The results showed the adaptive and responsive character of the housing environment based-on space-attachment in legibility aspects (ease of recognizing places), elements of diversity (variations and differences in places of activity), temporal aspects (temporal spaces), and setting of the place (according to environmental conditions/contours). These four characters emphasize the character of the housing environment based on space-attachment. The rural housing environment in Mandailing is tied to a place that focuses on 'physical place,' which is physical. Still, it is more tied to space focuses on 'non -physical space 'and intangible. Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai Revolusi di Tanah Alas dan Peranan Masyarakatnya dalam Mempertahankan Kemerdekaan Indonesia pada saat revolusi tersebut berlangsung. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode sejarah untuk merekonstruksinya, yang terdiri dari empat tahap, diantaranya heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa revolusi di Tanah Alas tidak hanya di pelopori oleh masyarakat yang ikut berperang secara fisik. Selain itu terdapat mayoritas masyarakat yang memiliki andil dalam persiapan perang tersebut, baik dari segi penyediaan peralatan sampai dengan kebutuhan pangan. Masa Revolusi Fisik di tanah Alas banyak melibatkan tokoh dan rakyat Tanah Alas. Selain ikut serta dalam perang fisik, mereka juga dengan gigih membantu memenuhi kebutuhan para pejuang perang. Sehingga, dapatlah dikatakan bahwa masyarakat ini mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting dalam rangka mempertahankan kemerdekaan R.I pada masa revolusi.

Efforts in pioneering lobster cultivation require information on the maintenance of spiny lobsters (Panulirus versicolor), especially the specific feed doses required for their growth. This study aims to obtain information about the ideal feed dose for spiny lobster (Panulirus versicolor) growth and survival. The samples included spiny lobsters (Panulirus versicolor), which were obtained from the fishermen’s catch and lands on Osi Island, West Seram Regency, Maluku Province. Each tank consisted of 8 samples with an initial weight between 600-650 gr. This research was conducted for six months, and utilized specific doses of feed as a treatment: A: 3%, B: 5%, C: 7% of the tested lobster's bodyweight. Furthermore, the physical boundaries measured include Specific Growth Rate (%), absolute growth, and water quality maintenance. The results showed that lobsters fed with a dose of 5% had a significant weight gain compared to the 3% and 7% doses. Therefore, the SGR was higher for lobsters fed at a dose of 5% (5.83%), followed by the ones treated with 7% (5.64%) and 3% (4.42%). In comparison, for the absolute growth average, the best treatment dose was 5% (75.82gr), followed by that of 3% (69.97gr) and 7% (57.55 gr). From the results, it can be concluded that a feed dose of 5% of body weight provides a relatively high growth rate compared to other treatments. Therefore, the optimal feed dose for the cultivation of spiny lobster (Panulirus versicolor) is 5%.

The strength of 3D printed part is an important factor that must be considered before carrying out a product design. Moreover, manufacturing speed was also as key of successfully product design. The main focus of this study was to analyze the strength of 3D printed part and reduce the time manufacturing processing for getting the optimal design. The specimen models were designed according to ASTM D368-IV standards and printed using a 3D printer device. During the printing process, the infill density was varied into two different types, 0% and 100%. Meanwhile the main material used as a base material was Polylactic Acid or PLA which has an initial diameter of 1.75 mm. Furthermore, time consumption of manufacturing process was recorded, whereas the strength of specimens was observed using universal tensile test machine. The specimen model, especially for infill density 0% were added the resin polymer before carry out the tensile test. The results showed that the highest [1]tensile strength was occurred on the specimen that had the infill density of 100% without any addition of resin polymer. Besides that, the time consumption (infill density 0%) was showed significantly reduce than specimen that had infill density of 100%

The problem that occurs is a legal vacuum regarding the regulation of sanctions that can be imposed on women who dare to tempt married men (Pelakor) through national law. In Dayak indigenous people in Central Kalimantan, the Dayak Customary Law is enforced firmly, but is still not widely known. This research uses a type of qualitative empirical research, conducted by visiting the Kedamangan Institutions in Central Kalimantan and Dayak Customary Council (DAD) in Central Kalimantan. It can complement the national legal effort before the national legal implementation of RUU KUHP for Dayak Ngaju community in Central Kalimantan. The legal effort taken to ensnare the cheating woman’s action is the challenge of oath that is the most serious legal effort that can be conducted by the indigenous people of Dayak Ngaju tribe. They believe that the oath pronounced during the Basara Adat will be seriously for those who dare to lie.They might have a short life, no fortune and suffer from continuing illness for themselves and their descendants and siblings. Dayak Ngaju’s custom sanctions imposed for Pelakor is to pay twice the value of the customary marriage (dowry) of a man he arrogated to pay shame compensation for the woman's wife's legal family, pay compensation for the marriage costs for the legal wife and pay for the party peace. The components for wound closure consist of albumin, collagen, omega 3, and omega 6. Black cumin oil (habattussauda or Nigella sativa) has been known to contain much of oleic and linoleic fatty acids, the kind of fatty acids available abundantly in nature. Albumin from cork fish (Channa striata), collagen from the skin of grouper fish, omega 3 from flaxseed oil, and omega 6 from black cumin oil are used as active ingredients in making ointments to speed up the process of wound closure. An ointment is a thick substance, usually containing medicine, that is put on the skin where it is sore or where there is an injury, to cure it. The results from phase 1 of the study showed that different concentrations of black cumin oil affected the quality of the albumin ointment in terms of pH, viscosity, omega 3 content, protein content, fat content, water content, fatty acid profile, and zinc content. The best albumin ointment was produced at the 5 mL concentration of the black cumin oil with the following results: 6.9 pH, viscosity 16844 cP, 17.33% omega 3, 2.73% protein content, 87.92% fat content, and 5.5% water content. The best ointment produced was then used in an experiment on mice. Observations on day 3, 5, and 7 showed the fastest wound closure process using the albumin ointment with 75% wound closure happened on day 7.

Gelatin is a polymer of amino acids that is found in collagen in the tissues of the skin and bones of animals. The use of gelatin from pigs and cows faces the problems of halal or religious issues, and mad cow disease respectively. The aim of this research is to find out the best concentration of Epihinephelus sp. skin gelatin on the physical and organoleptic qualities of marshmallows. This research involves the process of extracting gelatin using citric acid from Epihinephelus sp. skin as the source, and the gelatin was utilized in the creation of marshmallows at 6%, 8%, and 10% concentrations. The results of the research indicated that marshmallows from Epihinephelus sp. skin gelatin possess physical characteristics of 53.62 N chewiness, 72.93% elasticity, and 0.93 g/ml density, as well as organoleptic hedonic characteristics of 3.47 texture, 3.43 taste, 3.27 aroma, and 3.50 color.

In recent years shallow gas blowouts have occurred several times in Balikpapan residential areas due to drilling activities for groundwater exploration and geological structures that play as a gas trap. It is necessary to identify structures containing shallow gas by implementing geophysical methods namely Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES). VES is an electrical resistivity method which involves the rapid measurement of variations of the ground resistivity with increasing electrode spaces. The output of this method is a 1-D resistivity model used to identify shallow gas. The 1-D resistivity model can be obtained by the inversion technique. In general, the inversion of VES data is conducted using local optimization method. However, this method has several limitations hence we need to implement a global optimization method in VES data inversion. In this work, the RRPSO algorithm was implemented, which is a global optimization method, in VES data inversion to obtain 1-D resistivity model. First, the RR-PSO algorithm is built and tested to invert synthetic data to evaluate the algorithm's performance. In this stage, the similarity index and several statistical parameters of the inversion results were calculated. After the synthetic test, the algorithm is implemented on field data inversion. The result shows that the RR-PSO algorithm has successfully inverted both the synthetic and field data. In the synthetic test, the similarity index obtained is more than 95%. The 1-D resistivity model from field data inversion indicates at the depth of 20 – 55 m a high resistivity anomaly that is identified as shallow gas. For further study, the RR-PSO algorithm could be implemented for other VES data to construct 2-D resistivity model in the study area (Palm Hills Resident area, south Balikpapan) for imaging the shallow gas presence as a mitigation measure.

This study aims to obtain an overview of the relationship between school principal leadership, school culture and teacher work motivation on the professionalism of physical education teachers. The study uses a quantitative approach with the Ext-Post Facto method. The population in this study amounted to 952 people from 34 Public and Private Vocational High Schools (SMK) registered in MGMP (Subject Teachers' Consultation) Physical Education Vocational School Physical Education Serdang Bedagai Regency in North Sumatra Province in 2017. Samples of 30 physical education teachers from 34 Schools using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using path analysis. The results showed that the principal's leadership and work motivation of teachers directly affected teacher professionalism, while school culture would not affect teacher professionalism. The conclusion is that the principal's good leadership, healthy school culture, and high teacher motivation are factors of high and low teacher professionalism.

Medan Islamic Center dengan penekanan pada Arsitektur Modern adalah pusat pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan dakwah islam yang digunakan untuk aktifitas keagamaan. Pembangunan bidang agama yang telah dilaksanakan sejak Indonesia merdeka telah memberikan dampak seperti meningkatnya pemahaman keagamaan masyarakat, semaraknya kegiatan-kegiatan sosial keagamaan atau meningkatnya jumlah tempat-tempat ibadah serta meningkatnya jumlah jamaah haji. Keberadaan Medan Islamic Center ini dilatar belakangi adanya tuntutan terhadap pemenuhan sarana yang lebih baik seiring dengan perkembangan kegiatan keagamaan di Medan, sehingga dengan adanya fasilitas Islamic Center ini diharapkan dapat menjembatani kehidupan sosial masyarakat dengan kaidah-kaidah Islam dalam perubahan dinamika sosial budaya di era sekarang ini. Islamic Center yang merupakan tempat pemusatan aktifitas dan pengembangan Islam, maupun pengembangan masyarakat yang kreatif dan berakhlak mulia, selain itu diharapkan dapat meningkatkan aspirasi serta citra dan arsitektur di Indonesia, khususnya di Kota Medan.

Perancanaan Stasiun Kereta Api merupakan sarana pelayanan angkutan umum untuk memudahkan masyarakat khususnya kota Kisaran dalam melakukan perpindahan antar kota dengan transportasi dan mengakses sumber daya kota, Sehingga dapat menumbuhkan minat masyarakat untuk menggunakan sarana transportasi umum serta mengurangi kemacetan. Lokasi perencanaan berada di Jl. HOS Cokroaminoto, Kecamatan Kisaran Barat, Kabupaten Asahan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Lokasi berada di kawasan ramai penduduk yang menjadi jalur transportasi kendaraan umum. Pendekatan arsitektur metafora dapat di aplikasikan pada bentuk atap yang menyerupai gelombang air.

The aim of this research is to develop web-based learning media using the blog and the feature of information and communication technology which is combined with discovery learning model to teach English lecture in non-English class in STKIP PGRI Trenggalek. The research design used is research and development invented by Borg and Gall which is modified with ASSURE method. The instrument used are interview and questionnaire. The collected data then be analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The result of the development is a learning blog with 5 menus, they are Home, Site guide, Chapter, Forum dan Credit. Within the use of media, students will experience learning which utilizes discovery model namely 2W3L. The final product of this learning media has been validated by blog-basis media expert with the score of 83 which means the media is good and there is no revision, meanwhile, the expert of learning content gives 88.8 points which means the learning steps of discovery and the material are very good and no revision. This valid and proper media is also accepted by the students very well.

Abstract : Human resource management is one of the functions of the organization, and when the function is running well, the organization is expected to strive for employees to provide optimal performance in accordance with the expected. Factors that may affect employee performance are transformational leadership, organizational culture and organizational commitment. Transformational leadership is a state in which employees feel trust, admiration, loyalty, and respect for their leaders. Organizational culture is the norm, belief, attitude and philosophy that embraced someone in achieving organizational goals. Organizational commitment is a psychological state that characterizes the relationship of employees with the organization and that affects employees will remain in the organization or not. The object of this research is Secretariat Staff of DPRD Surakarta. Based on presurvey in Secretariat DPRD Surakarta has a phenomenon of human resources problems, namely: the leader can not be a good example for employees, there are leaders who often come late, not obey the rules set. Employees have difficulty completing tasks on time, so the job becomes ineffective. Employees are also less confident about the organization, because of the lack of rewards for employees who have good performance. Abstraksi : Manajemen sumber daya manusia adalah salah satu fungsi organisasi, dan ketika fungsinya berjalan dengan baik, organisasi diharapkan berusaha agar karyawan dapat memberikan kinerja yang optimal sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan adalah kepemimpinan transformasional, budaya organisasi dan komitmen organisasi. Kepemimpinan transformasional adalah keadaan di mana karyawan merasa percaya, mengagumi, kesetiaan, dan menghormati pemimpin mereka. Budaya organisasi adalah norma, keyakinan, sikap dan filosofi yang merangkul seseorang dalam mencapai tujuan organisasi. Komitmen organisasi adalah keadaan psikologis yang mencirikan hubungan karyawan dan organisasi yang mempengaruhi karyawan akan tetap berada di organisasi atau tidak. Objek penelitian ini adalah Staf Sekretariat DPRD Surakarta. Berdasarkan presurvey di Sekretariat DPRD Kota Surakarta, ada sejumlah masalah sumber daya manusia, yaitu: pemimpin yang tidak memiliki contoh yang baik untuk karyawan, ada pemimpin yang sering datang terlambat, tidak mematuhi aturan yang ditetapkan. Karyawan mengalami kesulitan menyelesaikan tugas tepat waktu, sehingga pekerjaan menjadi tidak efektif. Karyawan juga kurang yakin tentang organisasi, karena kurangnya penghargaan untuk karyawan yang memiliki kinerja yang baik.

Kerandang fish (Channa pleurophthalmus Blkr) is one of the potential fish from the Channidae family in Central Kalimantan. The potential of Kerandang fish has so far not been much researched/ explored, causing a lack of scientific information about secondary metabolites found in charcoal from waste of Kerandang fish (Channa pleurophthalmus Blkr). The aim of this study is to find out and obtain an overview of the content of the secondary metabolites contained in charcoal from waste of Kerandang fish (Channa pleurophthalmus Blkr), namely scalp, scales, dorsal fin, pectoral fin, pelvic fin, anal fin and caudal fin, which could potentially be used in the field of health/ pharmaceutical as a cure for allergies (local wisdom). The results of this study are expected to provide useful information about groups of the secondary metabolites in charcoal from Kerandang fish (Channa pleurophthalmus Blkr) which has the potential to be anti-allergic. The study is carried out by screening and identifying the secondary metabolites using a color test, which includes the following parameters: flavonoids, alkaloids (meyer, dragendorf, bouchardat), tannins, terpenoids (steroids, triterpenoids), polyphenols and saponins. The data obtained are presented in a table form and analyzed descriptively. The extraction is carried out by maceration method using 70% ethanol solvent. The screening and identification show that the secondary metabolites contained in the ethanol extract of charcoal from waste of Kerandang fish (Channa pleurophthalmus Blkr) with color test are as follows: (-) flavonoids, (-) alkaloids, (-) tannins, (-) terpenoids, (-) polyphenols, and (+) saponins. Saponins are found in ethanol extract of charcoal from waste of Kerandang fish (Channa pleurophthalmus Blkr), which are characterized by the formation of permanent foam.

The larvae of Anisakis were living parasites and made marine mammals, birds and reptiles the definitive host. Identification of Anisakis larvae using morphological observation methods will be difficult, especially if there are only a few samples that can be identified. PCR is an identification method using DNA from a small sample quantity and can provide DNA sequence samples. This study aimed to determine the type and infection level of Anisakis sp. at skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) from the Oeba Fish Auction (TPI) Kupang City morphologically and molecularly. Morphological analysis results of 30 Anisakis larvae showed the body parts of Anisakis larvae, namely the head, digestive tract, and tail. The infection of Anisakis nematodes in skipjack tuna found five individual nematodes in muscle tissue, 59 individuals in stomach tissue, and 1991 individuals in internal organs. Alignment results between isolates At1 and At2 against isolates A. typica comparing (outgroup), isolate At1 and At2 have high homologs. Based on the results of the study concluded that the type I Anisakis isolated from skipjack tuna (Savu Sea) was Anisakis typica.

PT United Tractors, Tbk implements good corporate governance (GCG) as an effort to improve the performance of a company. GCG is part of the roadmap towards Corporate Citizenship so that its implementation is reviewed based on four dimensions. The economic dimension, that is, the company has an economic function proven by the company experiencing growth in the assets, income and profits of the company. The implementation of the law shows that the company integrates legal compliance into the company's strategy, this shows the implementation of the legal dimension. The implementation of the management system in the company is part of the implemented ethical dimension. For the dimension of philanthropy can be seen from companies that use the AGC and AFC guidelines to guide them to become environmentally friendly and social responsible companies managed under the Public Contribution Roadmap framework. After knowing the implementation of Corporate Citizenship in the company, the next step is to quantitatively measure its implementation and the influence that has been given to the company.

The production of Tilapia increased the impact on the increase of fish waste, such as viscera. One of the efforts to overcome and reduce fishery waste are by using them optimally. One of the efforts is hydrolysis technology, which can produce extracts that have bioactivity. This research aimed to find out and obtain an overview of the chemical components in the protein hydrolyzate extract from viscera of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The screening was performed for flavonoids, alkaloids (Meyer, Dragendrof, Bouchardat), tannins, terpenoids (steroids, triterpenoids), polyphenols, and saponins. The color intensity or the precipitate formation was used as analytical responses to these assays. The results of screening and identification showed the presence of chemical components of alkaloids, tannins, triterpenoids, polyphenols, saponins from the protein hydrolyzate extract of viscera of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), on the other hand, flavonoids and steroids were not detected. These chemical components have the potential bioactivity as antioxidants, anti-nociceptive, anti-inflammatory, anti-HIV, anti-fungal, cardioprotective, immunoregulative, anti-malarial, anti-inflammatory, Cerebro-protective, anti-mutagenic, vaso-relaxing, anti-bacterial, anti-anxiolytic, analgesic, anti-nociceptive and anxiolytic. The extract has the potential to be developed in the field of health as pharmaceutical or nutraceutical products.

Giant cell tumors usually arise in the epiphyseal region of the limbs, and their occurrence in the ribs is unusual. We presented a case of a 26-year-old male with a 2 years progressively growing lump on his right anterolateral chest. There was no pain and cardiopulmonary symptoms. Chest radiograph revealed an osteolytic lesion over the right 10th rib with chondroid matrix and a wide transition zone that grew expansively accompanied with the destruction of the 10th rib. Abdominal computed tomography scan confirmed a soft-tissue mass with 15 cm × 11 cm × 10 cm in dimension with the destruction of anterolateral 10th rib. The patient underwent en bloc-wide excision, including the 9th–11th ribs, followed by diaphragm repair and chest wall reconstruction.

Penelitian menjelaskan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kenyamanan pada rumah panggung khususnya yang berkaitan dengan iklim tropis dan adaptasi bangunan terhadap lingkungan serta menemukan kriteria dan konsep tropis pada Rumah Panggung di daerah eks, Kesultanan Deli. Berdasarkan tujuan tersebut, direncanakan metode pengumpulan data dan analisa yang akan digunakan adalah metode tinjauan pustaka dari berbagai sumber yang dianggap relevan. Simulasi dilakukan pada elemen-elemen yang sangat berpengaruh pada bangunan utama seperti semua ruangan dan berikut komponen seperti orientasi massa bangunan, pola ruang, bukaan (jenis bukaan, posisi bukaan, luas bukaan), bentuk bangunan dan material bangunan. Simpulan yang didapat yaitu bahwa Rumah Panggung merupakan bangunan yang tanggap lingkungan tropis, meskipun adanya perubahan beberapa material. Kata Kunci : Iklim tropis, Rumah Panggung eks. This study aims to determine the influence of leadership on commitment in implementing quality assurance policies, the influence of quality culture on commitment in implementing quality assurance policies, the effect of job satisfaction on commitment in implementing quality assurance policies, the influence of leadership and quality culture on job satisfaction and commitment in implementing quality assurance policies at Universitas Negeri Medan, Indonesia. The research sample is 202 lecturers. The research instrument used was a questionnaire, and the data was analyzed using Path Analysis. From the result of the study, it was found that there was a significant influence of leadership variables on job satisfaction. Quality culture has a positive effect on job satisfaction. Leadership has a positive effect on commitment to implementing quality assurance policies. Quality culture has a positive effect on commitment to implementing quality assurance policies, and job satisfaction also has a positive effect on commitment to implementing quality assurance policies. Taken together, leadership, quality culture, and job satisfaction positively affect commitment to implementing quality assurance policies.

Abstrak Seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan penduduk yang ada di Indonesia maka secara langsung hal ini mempengaruhi permintaan masyarakat terhadap pendidikan yang semakin meningkat. Secara tidak langsung masyarakat menuntut berbagai Lembaga Pendidikan khususnya pada tingkat Perguruan Tinggi untuk memberikan pelayanan pendidikan yang terbaik disertai dengan sistem pelayanan pendidikan yang bermutu ideal. Pada proses perancangan suatu bangunan atau kawasan, pemberian tema oleh setiap perancang adalah wajib hukumnya. Kegunaan tema sendiri untuk membantu para perancang dalam merancang bangunannya. Pada perancangan gedung Perpustakaan ini akan diterapkan tema Arsitektur Tropis. Tema akan diterapkan pada bangunan dengan mengutamakan atau memaksimalkan pencahayaan alami. Rencana pembangunan Perpustakaan Universitas Medan Area beserta sarana dan prasarananya akan ditempatkan diatas tanah seluasa 675.84 m2. Secara umum perancangan Perpustakaan terdiri dari 5 ruang utama bagi umum yaitu ruang baca perpustakaan, perpustakaan elektronik, ruang auditorium, ruang penyimpanan skripsi, dan test room. 3 ruang pengelola yaitu ruang kepala perpustakaan, ruang staff pengelola, dan ruang rapat pengelola. Abstract Along with the rapid development of the existing population in Indonesia, this directly affects the demand of the public to the ever increasing education. Indirectly the community demanded various Education Institutions, especially at the level of Higher Education to provide the best education services accompanied by an ideal quality education service system. In the process of designing a building or area, the theme by each designer is obligatory. Usefulness own theme to help the designers in designing the building. In the design of this Library building will be applied the theme of Tropical Architecture. The theme will be applied to the building by prioritizing or maximizing natural lighting. The construction plan of University of Medan Area Library along with its facilities and infrastructure will be placed on the land of 675.84 m2. In general, the design of the Library consists of 5 main space for the public library reading room, electronic library, auditorium room, thesis storage space, and test room. 3 management rooms are library headroom, management staff room, and manager meeting room. This paper introduces an optimized microridge-punch design for deep-drawing processes with improved formability and punch service life. Reducing the thickness of metal sheets results in a marked decrease in the microscale/mesoscale deep drawing rates. Prior studies have recognized that the drawing punch with a microridge design next to the punch nose lowers the thinning rate and improves the deep-drawing formability. However, the increased stripping force associated with the microridge design may result in deformation of the drawn cup and shorten the punch service life. Here, we present a parameter optimization of the microridge design, in which there is a tradeoff between multiple objectives in the deep-drawing process. We introduce a fuzzy inference to synthesize two design objectives, i.e., the thinning rate and stripping force, into single design fitness. We use Deform-2D software to simulate deep-drawing performance for design optimization. Since the simulation of design objectives is computationally expensive, we introduce a novel sequential surrogate-based optimization to improve the sampling and searching efficiencies. The proposed optimal microridge design outperforms the best design for both the thinning rate and stripping force of all the samples, as well as the design obtained by the Taguchi method based on the fuzzy design fitness. Compared with the Taguchi design, the proposed optimum design improves the fuzzy design fitness by 29.2%, whereby the stripping force is significantly reduced by 35.2%, with only a slight 2% increase in the thinning rate. The proposed design effectively ensures both the deep drawing formability and the microridge-punch service life.

Roads with flexible pavement are pavements that use asphalt as an aggregate binder, so they are much in demand rather than rigid pavement. Road infrastructure requires maintenance whose conditions must be maintained on an ongoing basis. The use of plastic packaging cannot be separated in everyday life. HDPE (High density polyethylene) is high density polyethylene. Based on the problem of the amount of used plastic waste currently available, this research is needed to find out how well the pavement uses the use of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) plastic as mixed plastic waste. After testing the laboratory and analyzing it according to the General Highway Specifications for normal composition 1 without a mixture of 0%, the asphalt content that meets all the requirements is estimated at asphalt level between 5.6% - 6%. Whereas in composition 2-4 with HPDE plastic waste 4%, 8%, and 12%. From the results of the research with 4 different compositions, it is obtained that the optimal asphalt content composition of HDPE plastic mixture is 0-12% which meets the VIM and stability an optimal 8% HDPE plastic mixture was obtained with an optimum asphalt content of 4.45%

Robust optimization seeks designs with optimized performance and low sensitivity to possible variations in a product's life-cycle. As a popular robust design scheme in industry, Taguchi method uses the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) as a metric of robustness. However, the Taguchi experimental design includes an inner orthogonal arrays (OA) for control factors and an outer OA for noise factors in estimating SNR-based robustness, raising a serious cost concern, especially if expensive samples are involved. Furthermore, rigorous control of noise factors to prespecified levels in the outer OA is impractical in engineering applications. This paper presents a novel approach, robust optimization using evolving reliable Kriging surrogate (ROERKS) that uses an evolving surrogate model to approximate the actual system, and uses a soft outer array to estimate the robustness. Both control variables and noise factors are merged into a combined experimental design served as the training samples to construct a Kriging-based surrogate model. An evolutionary optimizer is applied to search of the subspace of the design variables for a robust optimal solution, and a soft outer array is introduced to estimate the fitness function consisted of the mean and the variance response of evolving individual. To accommodate reduced accuracy of the surrogate model owing to an inadequate sample size, an issue that commonly arises in expensive optimization, the proposed algorithm uses a reliable region to constrain the genetic algorithm search. The verification result of the quasi-optimum is then added to the training samples to refine the evolving surrogate and to adjust the reliable region. A hybrid infilling strategy is then introduced to prevent the early convergence of the quasi-optimum. If the predicted optimum is in close proximity to current samples, the infilling strategy switches to an alternative sample with maximum expected improvement to improve sample efficiency. The iteration process continues until it converges to a robust optimum. The robust optimization of a numerical example for minimization and the robust optimization of a micro accelerometer design with a nominal-the-best sensitivity are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. ROERKS outperforms Taguchi method and the RSM-based robust optimization, and derives a superior robust optimum using many fewer experiments.

The aim of the research is to analyze the technological addiction of middle and high school students in the context of swimming, by examining variables such as gender, school level, attitudes towards swimming, and participation in swimming. The study was carried out utilizing causal-comparative and correlational research methodologies. Study's target population comprises middle and high school students enrolled in Medan during the academic year of 2022-2023. The study's sample comprises 268 students, with 126 females and 146 males, who were selected from the population through convenience sampling. Technology Addiction Scale (TAS), Swimming Participation Scale (SPS) and Attitude Scale Towards Swimming (STS) were used as data collection tool. Study employed the independent samples t-test method to examine the potential differences in technology addiction, swimming attitude, and participation scores among students based on gender, school level, and regular sports participation variables. The study employed Pearson's moment product-moment correlation coefficient and regression analysis methods to examine the associations among students' technology dependence, swimming attitudes, and participation scores. According to the results, a significant difference was found between the technological addiction scores of the students who regularly do swimming and those who do not. Moreover, there wasn't significant difference between genders in swimming attitude and swimming participation scores. The higher levels of technological addiction observed among high school students compared to middle school students in the domains of instant messaging and overall technological addiction. The significant and negative relationships between attitude towards swimming, participation in swimming, and technological addiction emphasize the potential function of swimming as a protective factor against addictive behaviors.

This study aims to improve the ability to catch in children using the ball thrower learning media. The method used in this study was experimental using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted using manipulative motion learning to catch the ball using the throwing media. To measure and find out the results of the data obtained by researchers using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) software. The sample in this study was upper-grade elementary school students. Twenty students were chosen with a random sampling technique. This study's data collection technique using the instrument is a ball catch test. The data analysis technique used a t-test with a significance level of 0.05. This study concluded that there was a significant effect of learning outcomes using the ball throwing learning media on the ability to catch the ball of elementary school students.
