Purpose: This paper applies fuzzy grey cognitive maps (FGCM) to support multicriteria group decision making (GDM) on supply chain performance (SCP) considering the role of organizational culture as a moderating factor. Design/methodology/approach: This paper follows the quantitative axiomatic prescriptive model-based research. It introduces a MGDM model that relies on the SCOR® model performance attributes and Hofstede's cultural dimensions. The proposal is underpinned by the soft computing technique of FGCM, aimed at addressing the inherent subjectivity associated with evaluating the culture-performance relationship within supply chains. Findings: The FGCM-based model proposes a management matrix tool for supporting SPC management. It results in a graphical representation that deconstructs SCP and organizational culture into key elements and provides directives for action plans that align improvement efforts. An illustrative application is presented to guide and promote the model's application in different configurations of supply chains. Practical implications: This model offers valuable insights into addressing the impact of organizational culture on decision-making related to SCP. Additionally, it facilitates scenario simulation. The management matrix visually illustrates how each performance attribute is influenced by each cultural dimension on a quantitative scale. It also ranks these attributes based on the overall level of influence they receive from culture. Originality/value: The study provides a unique outlook on the use of FGCMs to support the SCP decisional process by detailing and accounting for the influence of organizational culture. The dynamic interaction between supply chain resilience (SCR) and sustainability has become a crucial area of study in the evolving business landscape. While research has made strides in connecting information technology (IT) and SCR, a gap remains in understanding how sustainability dimensions integrate into these aspects, particularly in socio‐economically and environmentally challenged countries. This study aims to address this gap by investigating how IT and SCR contribute to enhancing overall supply chain performance, with a specific focus on the role of social (SS), environmental (ENS), and economic (ECS) sustainability dimensions. To achieve this, we formulated hypotheses that were tested using structural equation modeling, based on data from a sample of 321 apparel enterprises in Bangladesh. The findings reveal that IT significantly enhances resilience, while SCR does not directly improve supply chain performance when sustainability dimensions are considered. However, SCR positively influences all dimensions of sustainability, underscoring the importance of the combined strength of IT and SCR for achieving enduring sustainability in an uncertain world. Moreover, the results show that the triad of sustainability (SS, ENS, and ECS) fully mediates the relationship between resilience and supply chain performance, serving as the linchpin that binds and strengthens these elements. This research advances the understanding of the interplay between IT, resilience, and sustainability, providing valuable guidance for policymakers and sustainability professionals. In a period in which competition and globalization are increasing day by day, the competition of companies exists among supply chains. To have and sustain competitiveness in the supply chain context, information technologies should be used, supply chain performance should be measured at certain intervals, and environmental uncertainty should be taken into account. In this framework, the purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between information technologies and supply chain performance and to investigate whether environmental uncertainty has a mediating role in this relationship. For this purpose, 192 data points were obtained via a survey obtained from the top 500 international companies active in Turkey and analyzed with SAS software. Resulting from the analysis, it was determined that there is a significant relationship between information technologies, environmental uncertainty, and supply chain performance, and between information technologies and environmental uncertainty. It is concluded that environmental uncertainty has a significant effect on supply chain performance, and information technologies have a significant effect on environmental uncertainty. In addition, it has been determined that information technologies have a significant effect on supply chain performance, and environmental uncertainty has a medi-ating role in this effect. According to the results of this study, managers are suggested to increase their supply chain performance by using information technologies and to consider environmental uncertainty to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. Supply chain decision making can cause exaggerated fluctuations in inventory levels in spite of small changes in customer demand. While previous research has recognized the positive impact of information sharing on supply chain decision making, little attention has been given to how information is presented, such as through dashboards or information displays. This study applies bounded rationality theory, intrinsic motivation, and the knowledge-based view to address this gap, exploring the effects of providing information to supply chain managers, emphasizing how the information is presented rather than merely its availability. Via an experiment using a version of the beer game supply chain simulation, we find that the display of information about inventory and upstream incoming orders significantly impacted overall performance. Psychometric modeling indicates that knowledge acquisition and shared meaning are crucial in decision-makers' perceived performance. Ethiopia has made enormous efforts in the leather industry to gain manufacturing capabilities that can be scaled up to other sectors. Those efforts have resulted in the industry shifting its role from raw material supplier to producer of value-added products for the global supply chain (GSC). However, the industry has faced severe challenges in generating the expected revenue, utilizing capacity, and finally coping with the global competitive environment. Studies reveal that manufacturing firms tackle similar challenges by improving their supply chain performance (SCP). The challenges that appeared in the leather industry of Ethiopia could also be solved by improving its SCP. Nonetheless, there is a lack of study on the basic characteristics and SCP of the industry after it has shifted its role. The main objective of this study is, therefore, to measure the SCP to know where it stands using a bench mark and identify the elements that contribute considerably to the low overall SCP in order to lay the foundation for subsequent improvement. To achieve the research objective, data was collected from primary and secondary sources through a questionnaire, survey, observation, and focus group discussion. The data is analyzed using the supply chain operations reference model (SCOR version 12.0). Accordingly, the overall SCP is found to be 67.33%, suggesting an average rating as per the set benchmark. The source process is identified as the most influential element for the overall low SCP, with a percentage gap of 17.23%. Taking corrective action on the identified elements could help the industry overcome the existing challenges by improving its SCP.

The supply chain of the palm oil agro-industry is quite complicated and lengthy and involves many actors. This causes supply chain performance to be less than optimal. In addition, it also raises doubts applying the principle of sustainability in its business activities. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the performance of the supply chain of the palm oil agro-industry to know the actual conditions at the moment and to identify existing problems and opportunities for improvement. Thus, the right strategy can be formulated to increase the sustainability and responsiveness of the palm oil agro-industry. This study aims to identify the condition of the palm oil agro-industry supply chain mechanism and analyze the performance of the palm oil agro-industry supply chain so that improvement strategies can be formulated. Analysis of the supply chain performance of the palm oil agro-industry was determined using the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) method by weighting the results of the Analytical Hierarchy Process questionnaire (AHP) to obtain the supply chain. The results showed that the supply chain structure of the palm oil agro-industry consisted of farmers, transportation, palm oil mills, private partners, distributors, and consumers. Analysis of the performance of supply chain actors in the palm oil agro-industry is primarily in the medium and above average categories. Improving supply chain performance needs to be emphasized at each stage of the planning process with reliability performance attributes and performance indicators in the form of accuracy in predicting the number of requests. Alternative strategies that are prioritized to improve supply chain performance are increasing the competence of human resources and supply chain partnerships.

With the rapid development of digital technologies, digital transformation is becoming a critical way for enterprises to improve their performance. However, the current literatures lack sufficient research on whether and how the usage of digital technology improve supply chain performance. Based-on resource-based view and information processing theory, this study examines the impact of digital transformation on supply chain performance, as well as the mediating role of supply chain integration. The proposed hypotheses are tested empirically using data collected from Chinese A-share listed manufacturing firms for the years 2015 to 2022. The results show that digital transformation has a significant impact on supply chain performance, in which supply chain integration plays a partial mediating role. After a series of endogeneity and robustness tests, the results remain valid. Further analysis also reveals that the impact of digital transformation on supply chain performance is more significant for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) than for large enterprises. In addition, firm size has a significant heterogeneous effect on this relationship, which implies that digital transformation is better able to improve SMEs' supply chain performance. With the rapid development of Internet technology, foreign trade has been integrated with it, resulting in the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce, and for all kinds of enterprises to bring rich profits. However, in the fierce market competition, many enterprises ignore the importance of supply chain in the process of operation, which leads to the frequent bankruptcy of enterprises. To solve this problem, the research focuses on the supply chain performance evaluation of cross-border e-commerce enterprises, and proposes an improved error inverse propagation algorithm supply chain performance evaluation model. The results show that the model has improved the service capability of cross-border e-commerce, the performance of suppliers and the supply chain. The average relative error of the artificial neural network algorithm and the error reverse propagation algorithm is 3.26% and 10.23% respectively, while the average relative error of the expected output and actual output of the artificial neural network algorithm is 2.11%, and the average relative error of the expected output value and actual output of the error reverse propagation algorithm is 6.78%. It can be seen that the artificial neural network algorithm can effectively improve the performance level of the supply chain, and under this algorithm, the objectivity of the weights and the accuracy and efficiency of the prediction results are guaranteed. Therefore, this study has important scientific value and practical significance for understanding and improving the supply chain management of cross-border e-commerce enterprises. Purpose: Even though trust is known for improving supply chain performance (SCP), previous studies have overlooked the investigation of its dimensions. Limited studies exist on the variations of the influence of trust dimensions in agribusiness supply chain relationships. This study examined the influence of trust dimensions on SCP in a developing country's context. Design/methodology/approach: A cross-sectional study design was used to collect from 204 farmers and 192 traders (396 respondents) using a multistage sampling approach. Structural equation modeling was employed to analyze the hypothesized relationships. Findings: Pooled sample results show that integrity and competence were the trust dimensions with significant effects on SCP, whereas competence was significant across different supply chains and markets, integrity and benevolence were only significant along fresh chains and in the contract market. Research limitations/implications: The extent of application of this study's findings is limited to situations similar to those of tomato and soybeans value chains in developing countries. Originality/value: The paper contributes to a better understanding of the influence of trust dimensions on SCP across supply chains in different market typologies in agribusiness relationships in a developing country's context. Although developing a green supply chain is a topic of growing interest in the hotel industry, research on hospitality green supply chain management (GSCM) is limited. This study investigates the effect of internal and external measures of GSCM on environmental cost reduction, and how environmental cost reduction improves the supply chain performance with the mediating role of agility and resilience of a green supply chain. Data were collected from 370 employees of the top-rated hotels in Tehran, Iran, and analyzed using structural equation modelling in SmartPLS software. The findings revealed that internal and external measures of green supply chain management have a positive and significant effect on the environmental cost reduction of hotels. The reduction in environmental costs directly affected the variables of green supply chain agility, green supply chain resilience and green supply chain performance. The findings also confirmed the mediating role of green supply chain agility and resilience between environmental cost reduction and green supply chain performance. We measure the performance of a real-world triadic supply chain (SC) network consisting of suppliers, 3PL, and retailers. Three-stage network slacks-based measure (NSBM) and multi-parametric bias correction generalised directional distance function (MPBC-NGDDF) approach are developed to deal with conventional and non-discretionary inputs, desirable and undesirable linking activities and outputs. The sample consists of 786 combinations of triad members. Using both NSBM and MPBC-NGGDF facilitates a sound SC performance evaluation and identification of optimal inputs and outputs. We also compare the NSBM and MPBC-NGDDF estimates against the network epsilon-based measure (NEBM) efficiencies. This comparative analysis reveals the weaknesses and strengths of each method in the context of a complex SC network. Identifying weaknesses and strengths draws on the appropriateness of optimal solutions and practical implications. The MPBC-NGDDF approach meets both appropriateness criteria. According to this approach, considerable reductions are needed in the number of employees used by suppliers, the production agility, the origin port distance from the suppliers, the destination port distance from the retailers, the time from placing an order to delivery to the retailers' premises, and distribution costs. This research observes the relationship between industry 4.0 technologies (i.e., Internet of Things or IoT, machine learning, blockchain technology, and big data) and supply chain performance (SCP) with the mediating role of technological intensity in manufacturing firms using a resource-based view (RBV). Marketing strategy alignment is used as a moderator between technological intensity and SCP. The PLS-SEM is used, and 340 responses are used for the final analysis, collected using a simple random sampling technique. Multiple regressions were used to test hypotheses. IoT, blockchain technology, and technological intensity improve SCP. In contrast, machine learning and big data do not directly influence SCP. IoT, machine learning, big data, and blockchain technology significantly determine technological intensity. Besides, technological intensity significantly mediates industry 4.0 technologies and SCP. Finally, marketing strategy alignment strengthens the relationship between technological intensity and SCP. This research recommends that management implement industry 4.0 technologies, technological intensity, and marketing strategy alignment to improve SCP. While the significance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) adoption in business operations has been steadily growing, its impact on supply chain integration (SCI) and supply chain performance (SCP) remains unclear in the existing body of literature. This paper seeks to evaluate the influence of ICT adoption on SCI and SCP, delving into the presence of mediator and moderator variables. Using survey data collected from 259 participants in the dairy supply chain in Iringa, Tanzania, this quantitative study employs structural equation modeling to examine the impact of ICT adoption on SCI and performance, as well as to explore the role of SCI as a mediating factor and the moderating effect of age, gender, skills, and education level. The findings indicate that ICT adoption has no significant direct impact on SCP, as this relationship is entirely mediated by the three levels of SCI (SI, II, and CI), revealing how this connection is influenced by skills and education level. The study offers a comprehensive exploration of ICT adoption within the context of food processing supply chain per-formance, demonstrating how companies can harness the benefits of ICT adoption through SCI. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between institutional pressures, supply chain integration and supply chain performance in the wooden furniture industry. Cross-sectional survey data collected from 86 registered wooden furniture firms in Uganda were analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling. The study revealed that institutional pressures are positively and significantly related with supply chain performance and that supply chain integration plays a partial mediating role in the institutional pressures-supply chain performance relationship. Further, our component level analysis of institutional pressures reveals that whereas coercive pressure has a discernible positive influence on both supply chain integration and supply chain performance, mimetic pressure does not, while normative pressure positively influences only supply chain integration. These results underline the need to understand the role of individual components of institutional pressures and integration requirements in strategic supply chain management practice in order to boost supply chain performance of the wooden furniture firms. This study targets high-growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), investigating factors contributing to supply chain resilience (SC resilience) within the SCOR model paradigm. The study conducted qualitative research, utilizing semistructured interviews with 16 key informants in Thailand, focusing on supply chain (SC) resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data analysis using Nvivo employs content and thematic analysis, leading to the development of the framework. The findings reveal main themes and subthemes relating to the relationship between SC resilience and the supply chain operations reference (SCOR) model. This comprehensive exploration extends further into novel subthemes associated with innovation creation, inventory management, financial and cash flow dynamics, as well as business partnerships. The study proposes a framework facilitating the integration of SC resilience with the SCOR model paradigm, empowering SMEs to navigate uncertain events or disruption. Supply chain performance is crucial for organizational success and gaining competitive advantage. Information technology plays a pivotal role by enhancing real-time visibility, communication, and coordination among stakeholders. Effective information sharing further accelerates decision-making, reduces lead times, and improves responsiveness to market demands, thereby enhancing overall supply chain performance. This study aims to investigate the impact of informations sharing and information technology on supply chain performance within the manufacturing sector of Saudi Arabia. Data were gathered from 350 employees using a convenient sampling technique. Employing a deductive quantitative approach and cross-sectional research design, data were analysed using SPSS and Smart PLS. The findings from Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) indicate that information technology significantly and positively influences supply chain performance. Similarly, information sharing also demonstrates a positive and significant impact on supply chain performance among manufacturing companies in Saudi Arabia. These results contribute theoretically to the literature on Saudi Arabian manufacturing contexts. Additionally, future research could assist policymakers and investment bodies in prioritizing information technology infrastructure to enhance supply chain performance. The study concludes with a discussion on limitations and proposes directions for future research.

The digital supply chains enabled by Big Data Analytics (BDA) capabilities have become a business significance to develop a competitive and sustainable supply chain. The implementation of BDA for sustainable supply chains introduces various organisational challenges for the manufacturing firms demanding complementary capabilities. This study presents an investigation of the linkages between BDA capabilities, circular economy (CE) practices, and sustainable supply chain (SSC) flexibility on the SSC performance. Based on a survey of 320 manufacturing organisations, the study presents very interesting results. It is revealed that the BDA does not have a direct effect on sustainable performance. The CE practices and SSC flexibility are significant mediating variables between the BDA capabilities and SSC performance. The BDA is found to drive the implementation of CE practices. The transportation sector is considered among the major sources of greenhouse gas emissions. Given advancements in transportation technology, customers' willingness to reduce carbon footprints, as well as policy incentives, Electric Vehicles (EVs) are becoming an increasingly important part of the passenger vehicle industry. Evaluation of Supply Chain (SC) performance in the EV industry seems to contribute significantly to the enhancement of the operational consequences across the supply chain tiers. The SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference) model was designed to help businesses optimize their supply chain operations, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Although many performance measurement models have been developed in the context of SC, there is no performance measurement model in relation to the EV supply chain based on indicators of customer perceived value (Reliability, Responsiveness and Agility) in the SCOR model. Therefore, we aimed to develop a new method to evaluate the performance of the EV supply chain using a set of critical SC performance evaluation indicators. Multi-criteria decision-making along with machine learning was used in order to develop a new method for evaluating SC performance. We used k-means clustering and fuzzy logic approaches in the development of the new method. An assessment of indicators' importance level was performed using the fuzzy logic approach. The results of the method evaluation show that the proposed method is capable of predicting the performance of the EV supply chain accurately. According to the results, by optimizing their supply chain, companies can improve their ability to deliver products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations, resulting in higher customer perceived value and customer satisfaction.

Green supply chain management is growing as a key component of sustainability. Its implementation improves the firms’ supply chain competitiveness and performance. The literature on green supply chain management in various organisations has increased over the years. However, contextual literature on green supply chain management, green capabilities and supply chain performance is still limited within the manufacturing sector in developing countries such as South Africa. The study examined the relationships between green supply chain management practices, green capabilities, and supply chain performance in the South African manufacturing sector. The study employed a quantitative method on a sample consisting of 402 supply chain professionals drawn from the manufacturing sector across the four provinces of the country (i.e. Gauteng, Free State, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga). Data were collected over six months in the second half of 2022. Hypotheses were tested using structural equation modelling based on the SMART partial least squares technique. Eco-design, green distribution, and green training impacted positively on green capabilities, the latter of which, in turn, is linked to improved agility, reliability, and reduced supply chain costs. However, green manufacturing, legislation and regulations, reverse logistics, and product returns negatively impacted green capabilities. Green capability significantly mediated the relationships between green training and distribution and eco-design, and supply chain performance. To the management and leadership in the manufacturing sector, the study suggests that the implementation of green supply chain management activities is vital in influencing green capabilities. This study contributes to green supply chain management and capabilities literature as it is one of the few studies exploring green supply chain management practices, green capabilities, and performance in the context of the South African manufacturing sector. It encourages managers to develop and implement policies to improve environmental management practices in manufacturing supply chains.

Supply chain capabilities are fundamental in driving superior supply chain performance in diverse business environments. This study evaluates the impact exerted by supply chain capabilities on supply chain performance in the fast-growing apparel manufacturing sector in Bangladesh. Focusing on innovativeness, visibility, and collaboration as emerging components of supply chain capabilities, this research examines the associations among these factors and supply chain performance based on the dynamic capability theory. Additionally, the moderating role of digital supply chain deployment is tested in the research model. A total of 159 samples were collected from higher and lower-level supply chain managers and merchandisers from the apparel industry in Bangladesh, through an online survey. Data were analyzed using PLS-SEM to validate the research hypotheses. Findings indicate a significant positive relationship between firms’ innovativeness, visibility, and supply chain performance, while collaboration did not exhibit significant relationship with performance in this study. This indicates the lack of supply chain collaboration within the apparels industry in Bangladesh. The findings also highlight the critical importance of digital supply chain integration to increase both supply chain capacity and performance in this industry. As digital supply chain integration has received much attention in recent literatures, this study contributes to the current theory by refining the relationships between capabilities and performance in supply chain, for the lucrative apparel industry in a developing economy. Consequently, this research adds valuable contribution to the existing body of literature within the realms of supply chain management and Information Technology management. The study also provides meaningful practical insights for managers in the apparel sector to enhancing their supply chain capabilities, which could significantly improve their business performance and competitiveness.

AbstractThis paper examines the impact of Green Intellectual Capital (GIC) on Green Supply Chain Performance (GSCP). Further, the study examines the moderating role of external pressures (EP) on the relationship between GIC and GSCP. Data were collected from employees working in Egyptian hotels and tourism companies (N = 366). The collected data were analyzed using smart partial least squares (Smart-PLS) software. The current research indicated that there is a positive and significant impact of all GIC components on GSCP. The results also revealed that EP were found to moderate the relationship between GIC and GSCP. The study model was able to explain 63.1% of the variance in GSCP. The findings of this study serve as a pivotal yardstick for guiding corporate policy formulation, offering valuable insights to drive continuous improvements in supply chain management and performance. Furthermore, the research holds substantial implications for managerial strategies by shedding light on the potential of GIC and EP to elevate GSCP. Positioned as one of the initial studies to delve into the moderating role of EP in the relationship between GIC and GSCP, this research offers insights within an emerging market context.

Abstract94% of Fortune 1000 firms experienced supply chain disruptions. The severe shortage of essential medical supplies caused by COVID-19 has severely hampered the healthcare supply chain (HCSC). This study explores the impact of supply chain resilience (SCR) on supply chain performance (SCP) and the impact of communication (COM), organization culture (OC), top management support (TMS), and product complexity (PC) on SCR. The establishment of a theoretical framework is the goal of this study. This paper adopts mixed research methodologies: the qualitative method using semi-structured interviews and NVivo data analysis, and the quantitative method based on self-administered questionnaires and SmartPLS analysis. The study investigated SCR in the Chinese healthcare industry from the perspective of CAS (complex adaptive systems). 32 Tier-4 healthcare organizations from China took part in the interviews. 162 businesses filled out questionnaires to gather data from Chinese healthcare suppliers or manufacturers. The results suggested that SCR positively impacts SCP, and COM, OC, and PC positively impact SCR, but empirical evidence for the significance of TMS on SCR is still lacking. Top management in China’s healthcare sector still needs to improve SCR management, especially by incorporating digital technology into the direction of the company’s supply chain, including supply chain innovation brought about by new technology and big data analysis. This study can be expanded to include Chinese healthcare. In response to supply chain disruptions, this effort will improve SCR.

Purpose: This study explores the impact of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) practices on supply chain performance, with a focus on cost efficiency, within the dynamic context of Bangladesh. The purpose is to elucidate the relationships between SRM practices, specifically Supplier Collaboration, Supplier Development, Supplier Evaluation and Selection, and Long-Term Supplier Relationships, and their influence on cost efficiency within supply chains. Design/Methodology/Approach: A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing regression analysis and correlation analysis to analyze data collected through a structured survey from 270 Participants within Bangladesh's Manufacturing and Service Sectors. The research adopted a cross-sectional time horizon, providing a snapshot view of the relationships between SRM practices and cost efficiency. Findings: The findings reveal that Supplier Collaboration and Long-Term Supplier Relationships significantly and positively influence cost efficiency within the supply chains of Bangladeshi organizations. These SRM practices collectively contribute to approximately 64.2% of the variance in cost efficiency, emphasizing their critical role in optimizing supply chain performance. Research Limitations/Implications: Limitations of this study include its cross-sectional nature and the focus on a specific set of SRM practices. Future research can explore additional SRM dimensions and employ longitudinal approaches for deeper insights. Practical Implications: Practitioners can leverage the study's findings to enhance supply chain performance by implementing holistic SRM strategies, fostering collaborative supplier relationships, and nurturing long-term partnerships with suppliers. In this era of intense global competition, supply chains are facing challenges in coping with emerging market issues. Within diverse industries worldwide, supply chains are experiencing accelerated reconfiguration, with one of the most notable transformations being the digitalization of supply chain operations. But the literature lacks empirical evidence about how digital transformation effectively contributes to it. Thus, this paper delves into the implications of the supply chain digital transformation (SCDT) and supply chain reconfigurability (SCR) on its overall performance. Cross-sectional data from 379 respondents in the machinery, electronics, and home appliance manufacturing industries were collected through a closed questionnaire. Utilizing a hybrid approach involving the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) and fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA), this study employs a cross-validation of the conceptual model. Initially, the PLS-SEM is employed to unveil the direct impact of SCDT on supply chain performance (SCP), as well as the intermediary effect of SCR. Building on this foundation, the fsQCA method is further utilized to investigate the configuration paths that enable enterprises to achieve high SCP under the combined influence of SCR and SCDT. The research results affirm the significant influence of SCDT on SCP. Likewise, the findings highlight the crucial intermediary role of SCR between SCDT and SCP. Ultimately, three distinct configurations driving high supply chain performance are identified: technical, management, and flexible configurations, each playing a unique role. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: This paper aims to investigate the relationship between big data capability (BDC) and supply chain performance (SCP), and to examine the mediating role of supply chain resilience (SCR) and the moderating role of environmental uncertainty (EU) on the relationship between BDC and SCP. Drawing on the dynamic capability view and contingency theory, the study developed and tested a conceptual model with empirical data, clarifying the effects of BDA on SCP, the mediating effects of SCR and the moderating effects of EU. Methods: The primary survey data of 232 responses were collected from supply chain managers of manufacturers in China. The data were analyzed by employing SPSS and AMOS, and hierarchical regression was used to test the hypothesis. Results: The study found that BDC and its three dimensions have a significant impact on SCP, with a partial mediating role for SCR. Additionally, environmental uncertainty significantly moderates the relationships between BDC and SCR and between SCR and SCP. Conclusions: The results indicate the growing role of big data in supply chain resilience and performance, especially for small and medium-sized firms. Manufacturing companies should accelerate the development of supply chain resilience management systems and enhance their ability to cope with environmental changes. Managers should also be alert to the risks of changes in the external environment and allocate appropriate resources to mitigate environmental uncertainty and adapt to environmental changes. Companies, in emerging economies and beyond, struggle to develop integration mechanisms that deliver supply chain performance and competitive advantages. Those striving for organizational performance by streamlining supply chain processes must assess the challenges and benefits of employing technologies for supply chain integration. This study's objective is to analyze the supply chain integration antecedents required to enable supply chain performance, competitive advantages, and organization performance. Although prior research indicates that the Internet of Things (IoT), as one of the enabling technologies, plays an instrumental role in enhancing organization performance through supply chain integration, no empirical tests have been performed before. Therefore, this study examines the direct and indirect effects of the IoT's impact on organizational performance through different mediating variables—supply chain integration, supply chain performance, and competitive advantages. This study uses survey data from Saudi Arabian companies that adopted IoT-based applications in their supply chains. The results from partial least squares structural equation modeling indicate that the benefits and challenges of IoT adoption significantly affect supply chain integration. Moreover, supply chain integration partially mediates the relationship between IoT, supply chain performance, and competitive advantages while supply chain performance and competitive advantages mediate the relationship between supply chain integration and organization performance. This study offers theoretical implications regarding how dynamic capabilities are associated with supply chain integration and how they influence organizational performance; it also reveals valuable managerial insights.
