Circular RNAs （circRNA） are a class of multifunctional non-coding RNAs with a covalently ring structure， playing a variety of biological roles within cells. Chronic myelogenous leukemia （CML） is a myeloproliferative disorder originating from hematopoietic stem cells and progenitor cells. Although the current research on circRNA in CML is not yet comprehensive， evidence has shown that circRNA plays a significant role in the onset and progression of CML. This review summarizes the involvement of circRNA in CML， particularly focusing on its contribution to tyrosine kinase inhibitors （TKIs） resistance， and discusses the potential utility of circRNA for diagnosing and assessing prognosis in CML. The objective is to provide researchers with an up-to-date overview of the role of circRNA in CML and offer references for future research endeavors.

BackgroundControversy exists regarding the need of advanced imaging for patient selection in the extended window.AimsTo analyze the effect of initial imaging modalities on clinical outcomes of patients underwent MT in the extended window.MethodsThis was a retrospective analysis of a prospective registry, the Endovascular Treatment Key Technique and Emergency Workflow Improvement of Acute Ischemic Stroke (ANGEL-ACT) registry which was conducted at 111 hospitals between November 2017 and March 2019 in China. Primary study cohort and Guideline like cohort were identified, in each cohort, two imaging modalities for patient selection in 6 to 24 h window were defined: (1) NCCT ± CTA, (2) MRI. Guideline-like cohort were further screened based on key features of the DAWN and DEFUSE 3 trials. The primary outcome was 90 day mRS. The safety outcomes were sICH, any ICH and 90-day mortality.ResultsAfter adjusting for covariates, there were no significant differences in 90 day mRS or any safety outcomes between two imaging modalities groups in both cohorts. All outcome measures of mixed-effects logistic regression model were consistent with propensity score matching model.ConclusionOur results indicate that patients presented with anterior large vessel occlusion in the extended time window can potentially benefit from MT even in the absence of MRI selection. This conclusion needs to be verified by the prospective randomized clinical trials.

[Introduction] The icebreaking cone structure is a unique structure of the offshore wind power single pile foundation structure in north. The installation of the icebreaking cone is one of the key points and difficulties in the construction of the single pile foundation. The grouting connection technology solves this problem through assembled construction successfully. For the first time in China, a single pile icebreaking cone structure is used in an offshore wind power project in Dalian. [Method] Supported by the engineering practice of the project’s icebreaking cone grouting construction he critical technique of single pile icebreaking cone grounding construction was studied including installation preparation, grouting material selection, grouting pipeline design and optimization, grouting plugging and grouting construction quality control etc. [Result] In this study, by using Ugrount® SKG-V, self-developed high-strength grouting material, the small-scale containerized integrated marine wind power grouting equipment and the self-developed underwater grouting technology, the material and construction performance had met the requirements, and the grouting connection between single pile icebreaking cone structure and single pile was successfully completed for the first time. [Conclusion] This material and technology are expected to be widely applied in the single pile foundation structure of offshore wind power in northern China.

BACKGROUND: The superiority of balloon angioplasty plus aggressive medical management (AMM) to AMM alone for symptomatic intracranial artery stenosis (sICAS) on efficacy and safety profiles still lacks evidence from randomised controlled trials (RCTs). AIM: To demonstrate the design of an RCT on balloon angioplasty plus AMM for sICAS. DESIGN: Balloon Angioplasty for Symptomatic Intracranial Artery Stenosis (BASIS) trial is a multicentre, prospective, randomised, open-label, blinded end-point trial to investigate whether balloon angioplasty plus AMM could improve clinical outcome compared with AMM alone in patients with sICAS. Patients eligible in BASIS were 35-80 years old, with a recent transient ischaemic attack within the past 90 days or ischaemic stroke between 14 days and 90 days prior to enrolment due to severe atherosclerotic stenosis (70%-99%) of a major intracranial artery. The eligible patients were randomly assigned to receive balloon angioplasty plus AMM or AMM alone at a 1:1 ratio. Both groups will receive identical AMM, including standard dual antiplatelet therapy for 90 days followed by long-term single antiplatelet therapy, intensive risk factor management and life-style modification. All participants will be followed up for 3 years. STUDY OUTCOMES: Stroke or death in the next 30 days after enrolment or after balloon angioplasty procedure of the qualifying lesion during follow-up, or any ischaemic stroke or revascularisation from the qualifying artery after 30 days but before 12 months of enrolment, is the primary outcome. DISCUSSION: BASIS trail is the first RCT to compare the efficacy and safety of balloon angioplasty plus AMM to AMM alone in sICAS patients, which may provide an alternative perspective for treating sICAS.
