Large Language Models (LLMs) have transformed machine learning but raised significant legal concerns due to their potential to produce text that infringes on copyrights, resulting in several high-profile lawsuits. The legal landscape is struggling to keep pace with these rapid advancements, with ongoing debates about whether generated text might plagiarize copyrighted materials. Current LLMs may infringe on copyrights or overly restrict non-copyrighted texts, leading to these challenges: (i) the need for a comprehensive evaluation benchmark to assess copyright compliance from multiple aspects; (ii) evaluating robustness against safeguard bypassing attacks; and (iii) developing effective defense targeted against the generation of copyrighted text. To tackle these challenges, we introduce a curated dataset to evaluate methods, test attack strategies, and propose lightweight, real-time defense to prevent the generation of copyrighted text, ensuring the safe and lawful use of LLMs. Our experiments demonstrate that current LLMs frequently output copyrighted text, and that jailbreaking attacks can significantly increase the volume of copyrighted output. Our proposed defense mechanism significantly reduces the volume of copyrighted text generated by LLMs by effectively refusing malicious requests. In hypernuclear systems, interactions involving nucleons and hyperons are intricately influenced by the surrounding particles, particularly by the density and isospin feature of the nuclear medium. In this work, the relativistic mean-field (RMF) theory is adopted to describe the structure of several typical $ \Xi^{-} $ hypernuclei. New sets of $\Xi N$ effective interactions, by taking a density-dependent meson-nucleon/hyperon coupling perspective, are developed by fitting experimental data on the $\Xi^{-}$ hyperon $1s$ and $1p$ state separation energy of $^{15}_{\Xi^{-}}$C. It is found that the density-dependent behavior of meson-hyperon coupling strengths sensitively affects the description of hyperon single-particle levels, which play a crucial role in the consistent description of the theoretical and experimental separation energies of $\Xi^{-}$ $1s$ and $1p$ states in $^{15}_{\Xi^{-}}$C. In fact, the density-dependent meson-baryon coupling strengths introduce additional rearrangement contributions in the hyperon self-energy. Correspondingly, detailed forms of density dependence in these coupling strengths and different consideration of meson-baryon coupling channels will impact the hyperon single-particle properties within hypernuclei. Especially with the additional inclusion of isovector scalar $\delta$ meson, the significant enhancement of rearrangement terms in the effective interaction DD-ME$ \delta $ impacts the shape of the hyperon potential and alters the characteristics of the isovector channel dynamics balance in the effective nuclear force. Such effects may be crucial for describing hyperon separation energies in specific $\Xi^{-}$ hypernuclei such as $^{12}_{\Xi^{-}}$Be and in hypernuclei with higher mass numbers. Relativistic spin-polarized (SP) lepton beams are important for investigating spin-dependent interaction processes. In particular, spatially structured spin-polarized (SSP) lepton beams may find new applications in material, atomic, nuclear, high-energy physics and new physics beyond the Standard Model. However, realizing ultrafast generation and spin-manipulation of relativistic SSP lepton beams pose significant challenges. Here, we put forward a novel method of ultrafast (picosecond-timescale) generation of a relativistic SSP lepton beam via employing a moderate terahertz (THz) wave in a dielectric-lined waveguide (DWL). We first find that lepton beams with customizable spin-polarization structures can be generated by utilizing different electromagnetic modes, and optimizing the lepton velocity and THz phase velocity can improve efficiency of spin-manipulation and visibility of the SP structure. These SSP beams play a profound role in studying magnetic effects in material physics, chiral-selective chemistry, generation of structured $\gamma$-rays, etc., and open a new avenue for research on relativistic SP particles.

The inner fission barriers of the even-even uranium isotopes from the proton to the neutron drip line are studied with the deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum. A periodic evolution for the ground state shapes is shown with the neutron number, i.e., spherical shapes at shell closures $N=$126, 184, 258, and prolate dominated shapes between them. In analogy to the shape evolution, the inner fission barriers also exhibit a periodic behavior: peaks at the shell closures and valleys in the mid-shells. The triaxial effect to the inner fission barrier is evaluated using the triaxial relativistic mean field calculations plus a simple BCS method for pairing. With the triaxial correction included, good consistency in the inner barrier heights is found with the available empirical data. Besides, the evolution from the proton to the neutron drip line is in accord with the results by the multi-dimensionally constrained relativistic mean field theory. A flat valley in the fission barrier height is predicted around the neutron-rich nucleus $^{318}$U which may play a role of fission recycling in the astrophysical $r$-process nucleosynthesis., Comment: 7 pages, 6 figures

In this paper, we reanalyze the top-quark pair production at the next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) in QCD at future $e^+e^-$ colliders by using the Principle of Maximum Conformality (PMC) method. The PMC renormalization scales in $\alpha_s$ are determined by absorbing the non-conformal $\beta$ terms by recursively using the Renormalization Group Equation (RGE). Unlike the conventional scale-setting method of fixing the scale at the center-of-mass energy $\mu_r=\sqrt{s}$, the determined PMC scale $Q_\star$ is far smaller than the $\sqrt{s}$ and increases with the $\sqrt{s}$, yielding the correct physical behavior for the top-quark pair production process. Moreover, the convergence of the pQCD series for the top-quark pair production is greatly improved due to the elimination of the renormalon divergence. For a typical collision energy of $\sqrt{s}=500$ GeV, the PMC scale is $Q_\star=107$ GeV; the QCD correction factor $K$ for conventional results is $K\sim1+0.1244^{+0.0102+0.0012}_{-0.0087-0.0011}+0.0184^{-0.0086+0.0002}_{+0.0061-0.0003}$, where the first error is caused by varying the scale $\mu_r\in[\sqrt{s}/2, 2\sqrt{s}]$ and the second error is from the top-quark mass $\Delta{m_t}=\pm0.7$ GeV. After applying the PMC, the renormalization scale uncertainty is eliminated and the QCD correction factor $K$ is improved to $K\sim 1+0.1507^{+0.0015}_{-0.0015}-0.0057^{+0.0001}_{-0.0000}$, where the error is from the top-quark mass $\Delta{m_t}=\pm0.7$ GeV. Detecting and analyzing the local environment is crucial for investigating the dynamical processes of crystal nucleation and shape colloidal particle self-assembly. Recent developments in machine learning provide a promising avenue for better order parameters in complex systems that are challenging to study using traditional approaches. However, the application of machine learning to self-assembly on systems of particle shapes is still underexplored. To address this gap, we propose a simple, physics-agnostic, yet powerful approach that involves training a multilayer perceptron (MLP) as a local environment classifier for systems of particle shapes, using input features such as particle distances and orientations. Our MLP classifier is trained in a supervised manner with a shape symmetry-encoded data augmentation technique without the need for any conventional roto-translations invariant symmetry functions. We evaluate the performance of our classifiers on four different scenarios involving self-assembly of cubic structures, 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional patchy particle shape systems, hexagonal bipyramids with varying aspect ratios, and truncated shapes with different degrees of truncation. The proposed training process and data augmentation technique are both straightforward and flexible, enabling easy application of the classifier to other processes involving particle orientations. As a continuation of our previous work on the conservation and breaking of the pseudospin symmetry (PSS) in resonant states [Phys. Lett. B 847, 138320 (2023)}], in this work, the PSS in nuclear single-particle bound and resonant states are investigated uniformly within a relativistic framework by exploring the poles of the Green's function in spherical Woods-Saxon potentials. As the potential depths increase from zero to finite depths, the PS partners evolve from resonant states to bound states. In this progress,the PSS is broken gradually with energy, width, and density splittings. Specially, the energy and width splittings for the resonant and bound states are directly determined by the ratio of the pseudo spin-orbit potentials between the PS partners. Obvious threshold effect is observed for the energy splitting at a critical potential depth, with which the PS partners locate between the centrifugal barriers of PS partners. The differences in the density distributions of the lower component between the PS partners are manifested in the phase shift for the resonant states and amplitudes for bound states. (Pseudo)spin symmetries play vital roles in nuclear physics and have been studied extensively in spherical nuclei. In this work, possible spin and pseudospin symmetries in deformed nuclei are examined by solving a coupled-channel Dirac equation with quadruple deformation. The Green's function method is taken which provides a novel way to exactly determine the single-particle levels and properly describe the spacial density distributions. Taking axially-deformed nucleus $^{154}$Dy as an example, the spin doublets with a combination of Nilsson levels $\Lambda\pm 1/2[\mathcal{N},n_z, \Lambda]$ and pseudospin doublets with a combination of $\widetilde{\Lambda}\pm 1/2[\widetilde{\mathcal{N},n_z, \Lambda}]$ are determined. Different behaviors are displayed for the spin and pseudospin doublets. For the spin partners, those with smaller angular momentum $l$ and the third component $\Lambda$ owns better symmetry such as the $1p$ doublet while good pseudospin symmetry appears in partners locating close to the continuum threshold. By examining the single-particle Nilsson levels $\Omega[\mathcal{N},n_z,\Lambda]$ and the energy splittings between the partners, the conservation and breaking of SS and PSS are examined at different deformations. In the prolate side, the Nilsson levels for the spin and pseudospin doublets are almost parallel and the energy splittings are stable against varying deformations. By examining the density distributions, great similarities have been observed in the upper components for the spin doublets while great similarities in the lower component for the pseudospin doublets. Cascaded Compton scattering and Breit-Wheeler (BW) processes play fundamental roles in high-energy astrophysical sources and laser-driven quantum electrodynamics (QED) plasmas. A thorough comprehension of the polarization transfer in these cascaded processes is essential for elucidating the polarization mechanism of high-energy cosmic gamma rays and laser-driven QED plasmas. In this study, we employ analytical cross-sectional calculations and Monte Carlo (MC) numerical simulations to investigate the polarization transfer in the cascade of electron-seeded inverse Compton scattering (ICS) and BW process. Theoretical analysis indicates that the polarization of background photons can effectively transfer to final-state particles in the first-generation cascade due to helicity transfer. Through MC simulations involving polarized background photons and non-polarized seed electrons, we reveal the characteristic polarization curves as a function of particle energy produced by the cascaded processes of ICS and BW pair production. Our results demonstrate that the first-generation photons from ICS exhibit the non-decayed stair-shape polarization curves, in contrast to the linearly decayed ones of the first-generation electrons. Interestingly, this polarization curve trend can be reversed in the second-generation cascade, facilitated by the presence of polarized first-generation BW pairs with fluctuant polarization curves. The cascade culminates with the production of second-generation BW pairs, due to diminished energy of second-generation photons below the threshold of BW process. Our findings provide crucial insights into the cascaded processes of Compton scattering and BW process, significantly contributing to the understanding and further exploration of laser-driven QED plasma creation in laboratory settings and high-energy astrophysics research.

By combining RMF models and equivparticle models with density-dependent quark masses, we construct explicitly ``a quark Fermi Sea'' and ``a baryonic Fermi surface'' to model the quarkyonic phase, where baryons with momentums ranging from zero to Fermi momentums are included. The properties of nuclear matter, quark matter, and quarkyonic matter are then investigated in a unified manner, where quarkyonic matter is more stable and energy minimization is still applicable to obtain the microscopic properties of dense matter. Three different covariant density functionals TW99, PKDD, and DD-ME2 are adopted in our work, where TW99 gives satisfactory predictions for the properties of nuclear matter both in neutron stars and heavy-ion collisions and quarkyonic transition is unfavorable. Nevertheless, if PKDD with larger slope of symmetry energy $L$ or DD-ME2 with larger skewness coefficient $J$ are adopted, the corresponding EOSs are too stiff according to both experimental and astrophysical constraints. The situation is improved if quarkyonic transition takes place, where the EOSs become softer and can accommodate various experimental and astrophysical constraints.

We put forward a novel method for producing ultrarelativistic high-density high-polarization positrons through a single-shot interaction of a strong laser with a tilted solid foil. In our method, the driving laser ionizes the target, and the emitted electrons are accelerated and subsequently generate abundant $\gamma$ photons via the nonlinear Compton scattering, dominated by the laser. These $\gamma$ photons then generate polarized positrons via the nonlinear Breit-Wheeler process, dominated by a strong self-generated quasi-static magnetic field $\mathbf{B}^{\rm S}$. We find that placing the foil at an appropriate angle can result in a directional orientation of $\mathbf{B}^{\rm S}$, thereby polarizing positrons. Manipulating the laser polarization direction can control the angle between the $\gamma$ photon polarization and $\mathbf{B}^{\rm S}$, significantly enhancing the positron polarization degree. Our spin-resolved quantum electrodynamics particle-in-cell simulations demonstrate that employing a laser with a peak intensity of about $10^{23}$ W/cm$^2$ can obtain dense ($\gtrsim$ 10$^{18}$ cm$^{-3}$) polarized positrons with an average polarization degree of about 70\% and a yield of above 0.1 nC per shot. Moreover, our method is feasible using currently available or upcoming laser facilities and robust with respect to the laser and target parameters. Such high-density high-polarization positrons hold great significance in laboratory astrophysics, high-energy physics and new physics beyond the Standard Model.

The success of transformers in computer vision has led to several attempts to adapt them for mobile devices, but their performance remains unsatisfactory in some real-world applications. To address this issue, we propose PP-MobileSeg, a semantic segmentation model that achieves state-of-the-art performance on mobile devices. PP-MobileSeg comprises three novel parts: the StrideFormer backbone, the Aggregated Attention Module (AAM), and the Valid Interpolate Module (VIM). The four-stage StrideFormer backbone is built with MV3 blocks and strided SEA attention, and it is able to extract rich semantic and detailed features with minimal parameter overhead. The AAM first filters the detailed features through semantic feature ensemble voting and then combines them with semantic features to enhance the semantic information. Furthermore, we proposed VIM to upsample the downsampled feature to the resolution of the input image. It significantly reduces model latency by only interpolating classes present in the final prediction, which is the most significant contributor to overall model latency. Extensive experiments show that PP-MobileSeg achieves a superior tradeoff between accuracy, model size, and latency compared to other methods. On the ADE20K dataset, PP-MobileSeg achieves 1.57% higher accuracy in mIoU than SeaFormer-Base with 32.9% fewer parameters and 42.3% faster acceleration on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855.
