Purpose: Exergames are an innovative method that can promote neuroplasticity and improve the cognitive abilities of the elderly. This study aimed to compare the effects of single-task and multi-task exergames on the cognitive ability of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Methods: Computerized literature search was performed using PubMed, Web of Science, EBSCO, Elsevier, ProQuest, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang and VIP database to identify relevant articles from the establishment of the database from inception to April 1, 2024. The inclusion criteria were: (i) participants aged 60 or older diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment, regardless of gender; (ii) use of randomized controlled trials (RCTs); (iii) interventions involving exergames with physical activity or as the primary variable; and (iv) outcome measures using standardized neuropsychological instruments to assess cognitive function, including statistical data on sample size, mean, and standard deviation. Finally, the included study comprised a total of 526 participants. Mean difference (MD) and 95% confidence interval (CI) were used to synthesize the effect size in the data. Results: 11 studies were included. Due to the differences in the intervention methods, subgroup analysis was performed on the included research. Compared with the control group assessed by the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale, the single-task intervention improved the cognitive ability of the elderly with MCI (MD 3.40, 95% CI 2.43-4.37), the Mini-Mental State Examination Scale (MD 2.38, 95% CI μ2.03 to 2.72), the Trail Making Test (MD μ3.89, 95% CI â6.45 to â1.33), and the Digit Span Forward test (MD 1.16, 95% CI 0.73-1.60). Conclusion: This meta-analysis supports that exergames could be an effective cognitive rehabilitation method for MCI patients. Our study recommends that patients implement a customized exergames program and adhere to it for a long time. The threshing rate is one of the important indexes to evaluate the effect of corn threshing. The weighing method is often used to calculate the depuration rate of maize at present. This method is time-consuming and laborious and can only calculate the overall threshing rate but does not give the threshing rate of individual corn ears. Different parameters of corn ears have complex effects on the threshing rate. By analyzing the threshing rate of each corn ear, we can choose the appropriate ear treatment method, optimize the processing equipment and process flow, and improve the threshing performance. This paper presents a method based on machine vision to detect the threshing rate of corn ears. In this method, machine vision was used to measure the parameters of the corncob and the area of the top of residual kernels. The area of the top of all kernels was restored based on the parameters of the corncob. The threshing rate of corn ears was calculated by the ratio of the area of the top of the missing kernel to the area of the top of all kernels after threshing. A bivariate linear regression area model was established to restore the area of the top of all corn kernels based on corncob parameters. The R2 was more significant than 0.98, and the goodness of fit was good. The machine vision inspection results showed that the maximum relative error of length and midsection radius was 7.46% and 5.55%, and the mean relative error was 2.58% and 2.23%. The maximum relative error of the corn ear threshing rate was 7.08%, and the mean relative error was 2.04%. When the residual kernels were concentrated in the midsection, the inspection result of the corn ear threshing rate was better. The maximum relative error was 3.98%, and the mean relative error was 1.07%. This paper provides a new idea and reference for measuring the threshing rate of corn ears. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Tibetan sheep is a unique breed living in Qinghai‐Tibet Plateau. Since MSTN/Smad signaling pathway plays a critical role in the regulation of muscle development, we aimed to study the mutton quality, mRNA expression of main transduction genes in the MSTN/Smad signaling pathway, and the effects of those genes on the mutton quality of Tibetan sheep in this study. Six‐month‐old Qinghai‐Tibetan sheep were selected, slaughtered, and their Longissimus lumborum, semitendinosus muscle, arm triceps, and quadriceps femoris muscle were collected. The mutton quality was evaluated, and gene expression and their association with the mutton quality were analyzed using RT‐qPCR. The results showed that the indexes of mutton quality were not significantly different between ewes and rams (p >.05) except for Warner–Bratzler shear force (WBSF) (p <.05). A total of 21 different fatty acids were detected in the muscles of Tibetan sheep, including nine types of SFA, four types of MUFA, and eight types of PUFA. The main transduction genes of the MSTN/Smad signaling pathway were found to be widely expressed in muscle tissues, but no significant differences were observed (p >.05). The correlation analysis of the main genes and mutton quality showed that MSTN was significantly correlated with redness and cooking time; Smad2, Smad3, Smad4, and TGFβRI had significant positive correlations with marbling in arm triceps; Smad3 and TGFβRII had strong negative correlations with pH24 h in Longissimus lumborum; Smad2 was negatively correlated with drip loss in Longissimus lumborum. In short, the expression level of MSTN in muscles was positively correlated with Smad2, Smad3, and Smad4 genes and negatively correlated with TGFβRII genes. Thus, the results of this study provide a theoretical basis for the regulation mechanism of the MSTN/Smad pathway on mutton quality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
