We analyzed the outcomes of 32 patients with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) who underwent either a haploidentical donor (HID) or a matched unrelated donor (MUD) hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Seventeen patients received an HSCT from an HID and 15 patients received an HSCT from an MUD. The median follow-up time of the surviving patients was 36 months (range: 12–96 months). No significant differences were observed in the 3-year overall survival (OS) between the HID and MUD cohorts (74.1%±11.4% vs. 93.3%±6.4%, respectively, p=.222) or in the 3-year failure-free survival (68.8%±11.8% vs. 86.7%±8.8%, respectively, p=.307). Treatment-related mortality occurred in five patients. A univariate analysis of risk factors revealed platelet engraftment failure negatively impacted OS and FFS. We conclude that HID and MUD-HSCT are feasible and can be effective options for those PNH patients with concomitant bone marrow failure, recurrent life-threatening thrombosis, and uncontrollable hemolysis. For the enhancement of integration level and calorific value of micro-electro-mechanical and microelectronics components, wave mini-channel heat sinks (WMS) which could enhance secondary flow of the fluid in mini-channel were designed. On the basis of this structure, the secondary flow passages were added to further improve its heat transfer characteristics. CFD software was used to simulate WMS with and without secondary passage and to investigate the effect on heat transfer in laminar flow state. The results showed that, as far as this study was concerned, when the Re of inlet fluid was less than 1008, the heat transfer characteristic of WMS with secondary passages was better than the one of WMS; secondary passages didn't improve the temperature uniformity of mini-channel heat sink back surface. Then, through the analysis of the field synergy theory, it was found that secondary passages improved the synergy degree between velocity field and temperature field of wave mini-channel at the low Re, the heat transfer ability of WMS was improved. Behaviors of soil heavy metals are often affected by coexisting herbicides due to their physical and chemical interaction. Effect of glyphosate, an herbicide containing -PO_3^{2-} and -COOH groups, on cadmium adsorption in montmorillonite was studied in detail. The results showed that cadmium adsorption quantity in montmorillonite increased with increasing soil solution pH and cadmium concentration as usual, but decreased with glyphosate, which is due to the formation of a low affinity complex of Cd and glyphosate and decreasing solution pH induced by glyphosate addition. When the equilibrium solution pH was below 6.7, glyphosate has little effect on cadmium adsorption, but when the equilibrium solution pH was above 6.7, glyphosate significantly decreased cadmium adsorption quantity in montmorillonite. Reproductive health is a key aim of the population health strategy, and male reproductive health constitutes an important part of reproductive health. This article systematically analyzes the applications to and grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and some related scientific problems in the field of male reproductive health in the past 30 years. It also discusses the development of the basic researches on male reproductive health in China and the facilitating role of NSFC in this field.

Objective: To retrospectively analyze the effects of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) on childhood chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML)., Method: Of the 24 consecutive cases, 16 were boys and 8 were girls. The median age of patients was 12 (3 - 16) years old; 16 cases were in chronic phase (CP) of CML, 1 case in accelerated phase (AP) and 5 cases in blastic phase (BP). Allo-HSCT from HLA identical siblings were performed for 5 cases, HLA haplotype was performed for 14 cases and unrelated allo-HSCT for 5 cases. Twenty-four cases underwent allo-HSCT with conditioning regimen of BUCY. Prophylaxis of graft versus host disease (GVHD) included CsA + MTX plus MMF. The average follow-up was 36 months., Result: All of patients were successfully engrafted. The 5-year overall survival (OS) of the 24 cases was 81%. Four patients died after allo-HSCT including 3 cases in BP from haploidentical donors and 1 case in CP from HLA identical sibling. The 5 cases who received unrelated allo-HSCT have been alive. Among the 10 cases who survived over 5 years, 3 had chronic GVHD., Conclusion: Children with CML could be treated effectively with allo-HSCT. There were no significant differences among different donors. Transplantation to children with CML should be performed as early as possible. Preparative regimen adjustment before transplantation, the transplantation of associated comorbidities and effective prevention and treatment for CML patients after prolonged graft survival of high quality have important significance.

This study was purposed to analyze the characteristics of morphology, immunology, cytogenetic and molecular biology of leukemia cells in 12 AML patients with Ph(+) and their correlation with survival of patients. 12 patients with Ph(+) AML were diagnosed according to diagnostic criteria of WHO and existence of t(9;22) (q34;q11) or t(9;22) abnormality, meanwhile no evidence of CML chronic phase was observed. The results showed that 8 out of 12 cases were confirmedly diagnosed to be AML by morphologic and immunophenotypic examination, 4 cases were diagnosed as myeloid and B lymphocytic mixed acute leukemia. The Ph chromosome was detected in 10 cases by chromosome analysis at the first time of diagnosis, and some of the cases had coexistence of complex chromosome and/or normal karyotype. BCR-ABL transcript was detected in all 12 cases, including 7 cases with b3a2, 1 case with b2a2, 1 case with b2a2 variants, 2 cases with e1a2 and 1 case with e18a2. The 12 cases all got complete remission after chemotherapy and/or gleevec treatment, out of them 3 cases received chemotherapy and gleevec treatment, but 2 cases died; 9 cases received allogeneic hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation (allo-HSCT), 1 case died from relapse, among them 1 case died from transplant complications. The median survival was 24 (8 - 80) months, the overall survival of 3 years was (51.4 ± 17.7)%. It is concluded that the Ph(+) AML is a acute myelogenous leukemia with poor prognosis, but long-term survival may be achieved with HSCT as quick as after complete remission from gleevec and chemotherapy treatment. Meanwhile, the detection of BCR-ABL gene and it variants may be give more opportunity for diagnose and treatment, which can be used as routine screening for newly diagnosed leukemia.
