In order to improve the quality and safety level of food related products and provide a basis for the government to scientifically and quickly evaluate the quality and safety status of food related products, this article constructed a set of food related product quality and safety situation evaluation indicators system based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) from four dimensions, including regulatory regulation, quality and safety, industry health, and hot topic attention, which consisted of 15 secondary indicators. Based on this system, an empirical evaluation was conducted on the quality and safety status of food related products in Shanghai. The results indicated that the total score of the quality and safety situation of food related products in Shanghai was 87.43, which was at a good level.

Background Aldosterone-producing adenoma (APA) is a common type of primary aldosteronism. For those with unilateral adrenocortical adenoma, although expert consensus recommends plasma aldosterone-to-renin ratio (ARR) as a screening indicator for APA, the range of ARR cut-off values varies widely due to the lack of unified detection method and diagnostic process. Therefore, there is a clinical need for a reliable and rapid predictive model to assist in identifying APA. Objective To explore the correlation between glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and APA, construct and validate the nomogram prediction model of APA. Methods A total of 493 patients with with pathologic results of unilateral adrenal mass who underwent surgical treatment after evaluation of adrenal endocrine hormones in the first affiliated hospital of Shihezi University from 2012 to 2022 were collected, 155 patients were ultimately included in the APA group and 113 patients in nonfunctioning adrenal adenoma combined with essential hypertension group according to the diagnostic criteria of APA and nonfunctioning adrenal adenoma. The patients' clinical data and biochemical data were collected. The patients were grouped according to GFR quartiles, and the correlation between GFR and APA was analyzed. The risk factors for APA were screened by multivariate Logistic regression analysis and a nomogram prediction model was constructed. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to analyze the discrimination of the prediction model, a consistency index (C-index) was used to evaluate the predictive accuracy of the model, Hosmer Lemeshow test was used to verify the fit of model, and the diagnostic efficacy of the model was evaluated using decision curve and clinical benefit curve. Results The patients were grouped according to GFR quartiles (Q1 to Q4 groups), Q1 group: ≥107.4 mL·min-1· (1.73 m2) -1 (n=67), Q2 group: 99.7-107.3 mL·min-1· (1.73 m2) -1 (n=67), Q3 group: 88.6-99.6 mL·min-1· (1.73 m2) -1 (n=67) and Q4 group: ≤88.5 mL·min-1· (1.73 m2) -1 (n=67), and the proportion of APA in each group was 47.8% (32/67), 53.7% (36/67), 58.2% (39/67) and 71.6% (48/67). Logistic regression trend test suggested that the risk of APA tended to increase as GFR levels decreased (P160 mmHg (OR=5.209, 95%CI=2.531-10.720), hypertension duration≥59 months (OR=4.326, 95%CI=1.950-9.595), blood potassium13.42 ng/dL (OR=8.756, 95%CI=4.320-17.749) were independent risk factors for the occurrence of APA (P

This article reported a 38-year-old female patient who was misdiagnosed as Sjögren’s syndrome complicated with type I distal renal tubular acidosis （dRTA） due to recurrent hypokalemia, alkaline urine, elevated urinary potassium, positive antinuclear body（ANA）, and positive anti-SSA antibody. The diagnosis of Sjögren’s syndrome was then excluded because the patient had no obvious dry mouth or dry eyes, and the results of unstimulating saliva flow rate, corneal fluorescence staining, Schirmer secretion test, or labial gland biopsy were all negative. The clinical manifestations, such as metabolic alkalosis, hypochloremia, hypomagnesemia and low urinary calcium,could not support the diagnosis of dRTA. The patient presented with severe hypomagnesemia and a Trousseau sign, then Gitelman syndrome was finally confirmed based on genetic testing. Therefore, the diagnosis and treatment of this case prompted that for patients with recurrent hypokalemia and positive anti-SSA antibody, clinicians should make differential diagnosis based on the acid-base imbalance and the electrolyte disturbance at first, instead of paying too much attention to autoantibodies and Sjögren’s syndrome, to avoid being misled by the ANA and anti-SSA antibody.

Purpose: There is a paucity of biomarkers to predict failure in human papillomavirus-positive (HPV+) oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) following curative therapy. E6/E7 viral oncoproteins are constitutively expressed in HPV+ tumors and highly immunogenic, resulting in readily detected serum antibodies. The purpose of this study is to determine whether serum E6 and E7 antibody levels can potentially serve as a biomarker of recurrence in patients with HPV+OPSCC.Experimental Design: We evaluated E6/E7 antibody levels in patients with previously untreated, advanced stage (III, IVa-b), HPV+OPSCC receiving definitive chemoradiation under a uniform protocol from 2003 to 2010. Baseline and longitudinal serum samples were obtained from our archived repository. E6/E7 serum levels were measured using a glutathione-S-transferase capture ELISA and quantified by approximating the area under the dilution curve, and were analyzed using ANOVA and linear mixed model for longitudinal analysis.Results: We compared 22 HPV+OPSCC patients who developed recurrence with 30 patients who remained disease-free. There were no differences in T classification, N classification, disease subsite, or smoking status between the groups. In a longitudinal analysis, recurrent patients had significantly higher E6 and E7 serum antibody levels than the nonrecurrent patients over the follow-up period (P = 0.02 and P = 0.002, respectively). Patients who recurred had a lower clearance of E7 antibody than patients who remained disease-free (P = 0.0016).Conclusions: Patients with HPV+OPSCC whose disease recurs have a lower clearance of E6 and E7 antibodies than patients who do not have recurrence. The ratio of E7 antibody at disease recurrence compared with baseline is potentially a clinically significant measurement of disease status in HPV+OPSCC. Clin Cancer Res; 23(11); 2723-9. ©2016 AACR.

This study is constructed of life course profiles of the educational trajectories of a cohort of rural girls from a village in the mountains of western China during critical educational reform years. Observational date were collected annually from 2000-2022. Findings show that even in remote mountainous region of China, village girls attained surprisingly advanced educational levels. Specifically, 76 percent of the participants had attained education beyond the compulsory level; 92 percent progressed to senior secondary school, and their graduation rate was 94 percent. The entrance rates to tertiary institutions rose to 100 percent of graduates. Notably, a substantial proportion of the participants, constituting 29 percent, persisted in tertiary education, with a notable 17 percent gaining admission to academic tertiary institutions. The case study conducted in Sha'anxi, situated in one of the most remote mountainous regions, illustrates a profound transition in schooling dynamics from rural to urban contexts. This comprehensive transformation prompts a reasonable inference that similar patterns of schooling migration are likely observable in less remote rural areas across China. Consequently, there arises a compelling argument for the integration of educational provisions in migrant "urban villages" and "peri-urban rural developments" into the municipal school systems, ensuring equitable allocation of resources to these under-resourced areas. This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the association between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), a global public health concern. A total of 9044 out of 10,104 adults from Guangzhou, China, were included in the analysis. We utilized the fatty liver index (FLI), a noninvasive indicator of NAFLD, and the pooled cohort equations (PCE) based on the 2013 ACC/AHA Guideline, the China-PAR model, and the Framingham Risk Score to assess the 10-year ASCVD risk. The results demonstrated a significant association between FLI and 10-year ASCVD risk (p < 0.001). Adjusted for age, individuals with high FLI (≥60) had an odds ratio of 3.91 (95% CI 2.52–6.08) compared to those with low FLI (<30). These findings persisted after adjusting for metabolic indicators. Notably, this association was consistently observed across all three risk prediction models: the PCE model, the China-PAR model, and the Framingham Risk Score. In conclusion, our study provides evidence supporting FLI as a reliable indicator of increased 10-year ASCVD risk in Chinese NAFLD patients.
