Abstract

Papaya fruit is an important source of certain vitamins and minerals. The fruit bar is mainly used for the products prepared by dehydration of fruit pulps. To prepare fruit bars, Papaya pulp were first blended in different proportions to standardize parameters like pectin and SMP concentration and then mixture was dried in mechanical dehydrator at 55 ± 2ºC for 8-10h. By using different concentration of pectin, SMP, we observed the main ingredients of Papaya fruit bar which is carbohydrate and water. It is a very good source of vitamin A. By using papaya fruit bar fruit jam, jelly, ice cream, etc food can be processed.

Abstract

Carbon neutral fuels must have a control over global warming. Even through passenger vehicle can be replaced with electrical and hybrid vehicles, but it is extremely difficult to replace goods transport vehicles which uses hydrocarbon fuels. Biofuels are one that can be obtained from various feedstock’s including grains and green matter with high starch and sugar content such as corn, sugar cane and sugar beets. The castor oil methyl esters, which is non-edible in nature fulfils the requirement of fuel for internal combustion engine. The conventional experimental scheme needs more time for optimization and substantial number of experiments need to perform as it is possible to vary a single operating variable at a time and is expensive. Mathematical models of Taguchi method using design of experiments (DOE) give superior results. By using DOE, Taguchi L9 orthogonal array is considered. Analysis of variance (ANOVA), The Regression Equation and signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio are obtained to predict the best parameters and to evaluate the influence of significant conditions on performance, emission and combustion characteristics. The mathematical model obtained by integration of Taguchi method and RSM is successfully validated with accuracy of 95%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Intussusceptions originating in the jejunum are rare. We report a 20-year-old woman who had a chronic jejuno-jejunal intussusception due to an inflammatory fibroid polyp manifesting in the post-partum period as peritonitis. Resection-anastomosis of the intussuscepted segment was done. She is well one year later.

Abstract

Background: Dermis fat grafts are used in orbital reconstruction in a variety of procedures. However, there have been few controlled studies testing their effectiveness. This is a prospective study on 40 patients., Methods: Primary and secondary orbital dermis fat grafts were evaluated with regard to the long-term cosmetic results of two thicknesses, 10 and 20 mm, of fat pad, keeping all other parameters as constant as possible. Adequacy of the socket, lid anomalies; superior sulcus deformity, exophthalmometry, and motility of the prosthesis were assessed periodically., Conclusion: There was a significantly lower incidence of enophthalmos and superior sulcus deformity with the use of a fat pad thickness of 20 mm, without any compromise in the motility of the prosthesis or take of the graft.
