Steel Slag (SS) is an industrial by product get from the steel manufacturing industries .It is produced in large quantities during the steel making operation which utilize electric arc furnaces .SS can also be produced by smelting iron ore in the basic oxygen furnace. SS can be used in construction industry as an aggregate in concrete by replacing natural aggregate. Natural aggregate are becoming increasingly scare and their production shipment is more difficult. SS is used for aggregate in hot as plat surface application. The majority of the aggregate is quantity of the concrete. Replacing all or a few of the natural aggregate with the SS will leads to some environmental benefits. For this present study M25 concrete is used. The one-sided substitute of the SS will be made for changing percentages, for example 0%,10%, 20%,30%,40%,50%. From this learn the compressive strength, flexural strength and split tensile strength will be made experimentally also to find the optimal level of SS at a particular replacement of SS as natural aggregate.

Amylase is considered as an industrially important enzyme as it occupies the most important function in the food, paper, and pharmaceutical industries. The present study is concerned with the optimization, production and partial purification of halotolerant amylase from newly isolated Streptomyces brasiliensis MML2028, from Kelambakkam salt pan, Tamil Nadu, India. The primary screening was carried out by well diffusion assay to find the zone of lysis. The assay was observed for each media optimization by measuring the release of reducing sugar (RS) by the 3,5 dinitro salicylic acid (DNS) method and expressed in the international unit (UI). Ammonium sulphate precipitation was used to partially purify the enzyme and then lyophilized. SDS-PAGE was performed to identify the molecular weight. The production medium was optimized with 1% of the starch substrate, 3% of NaCl at 24˚C and pH 9, and incubation of 9 days. The total activity of the partially purified α-amylase was observed to be 1806.9U/mL. The partially purified enzyme was more active with 3% NaCl, pH 8, and 24˚C which is known to be a halotolerant alkaline α-amylase. The enzyme showed tolerance towards magnesium, manganese ions, Triton x-100, and urea. De-inking of α-amylase showed good results proving that the enzyme activity is more efficient. Hence, the alkaliphilic amylase from Halotolerant actinomycetes S. Brasiliensis MML2028 could be a better microbial source that can be used in many industries, especially in paper and textiles.

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is a widely grown evergreen valuable medicinal, ornamental species planted in India. Scale insects are small herbivorous insects found on all continents and they are serious sap sucking pests of many ornamental plants. These scale insects are undetectable due to their tiny size, basic morphology, and polyphagous feeding nature. Hence, the management of these tiny insects become a serious concern across the globe. To afford a prospective solution to the problem, an accurate, simple, and developmental-stage-independent identification method is required, hence this study attempted the molecular identification of scale insect in Hibiscus rosa-sinensis using mitochondrial gene Cytochrome Oxidase Subunit I (mtCOI) sequencing. The experiment was carried out by isolating insect DNA using a modified CTAB method. Through two or three rounds of error-prone PCR followed by a steady procedure to amplify a mtCOI region. This region of mtCOI has been used as a standard DNA barcode for a diverse array of taxa. The confirmation has been done by sequencing of mtCOI which suggest the highest similarities with Eulecanium giganteum. This study addresses the questions of biodiversity and molecular characterization of scale insects. Further, the information obtained in this study provides baseline data for future crop improvement programs and integrated pest management strategies.

There are numerous hydrogeological characteristics that define the groundwater potential zones of groundwater aquifers. Through the use of remote sensing, GIS, and AHP methods, the study's main goals are to highlight the prospective conditions of various areas and choose appropriate locations for possible groundwater zones. There are 55 villages in the research area, which is located in and around the Valliyur area of the Tirunelveli district in Tamil Nadu, India. The research elucidates seven essential topic levels, which are as follows: Maps of the lithology, geomorphology, drainage density, lineament density, slope, soil, and land use and landcover are included. For the preparation of each theme layer, data was gathered from several sources. The AHP method was then used to assign Weightage and Ranks for each thematic layer based on how significant they were in terms of groundwater potential. Finally, the weighted overlay method is used to identify zones with five different groundwater potential levels, such as Very Low, Low, Medium, High, and Very High zones. The findings showed that the results from the AHP technique were significantly more accurate.

Magnesium (Mg) and Calcium (Ca) is one of the essential factors for the insulin to get released from the pancreatic cell. To evaluate the relation of hypomagnesemia and hypocalcaemia in the glycaemic control and to analyse the importance of both Mg and Ca in the insulin secretion mechanism. The study was conducted in the laboratory department, Billroth hospitals. A total of 239 individuals were selected for this study, HbA1c level, serum magnesium and calcium were assessed for all the individuals and in addition to this serum electrolytes were also checked. Out of 239 individuals, 79 were found out as uncontrolled diabetic by calculating HbA1c as a gold standard, males are higher in ratio compared to female. By studying serum magnesium and calcium level, hypocalcaemia is present in more individuals and females (31%) are much prone to both than males (20%). The different correlation was also analysed for hypomagnesemia and hypocalcaemia. The electrolytes like sodium (Na) and potassium (K) was analysed, females are highly affected by electrolyte imbalance but in hypomagnesemia diabetic individuals the males are high in electrolyte imbalance. Since Mg and Ca plays a vital role in insulin synthesis, secretion, repair, and the alteration, along with the hypoglycaemic agents the supplementation of magnesium or calcium could be suggested via, dietary or drug supplements. In addition to this, regular monitoring of electrolytes is essential to maintain fluid balance.

Sex education and reproductive health has always been demurred subject in India due to culture and religious inhibitions. Lack of knowledge on reproductive health during adolescent leads to sexually transmitted infections, violence, bullying and unplanned pregnancy ( RM Anderson, 2013).The hormonal changes during the adolescent age, stigma on sex related subject matters and gender inequalities in India are the greater challenges for reproductive health education (WHO,2010).Thus, endowing the scientific knowledge on sex will navigate to a quality life. Considering the above aspects, the study was rolled on to study intends to emphasize the need, knowledge and attitude towards sex education among girl adolescent and also to investigate the positive and negative effect of sex education on students. The study intended to understand the practical possibilities in implementing sex education in India
