Botrytis cinerea is a major plant pathogen infecting more than 1400 plant species. During invasion, the fungus rapidly kills host cells, which is believed to be supported by induction of programmed plant cell death. To comprehensively evaluate the contributions of most of the currently known plant cell death inducing proteins (CDIPs) and metabolites for necrotrophic infection, an optimized CRISPR/Cas9 protocol was established which allowed to perform serial marker-free mutagenesis to generate multiple deletion mutants lacking up to 12 CDIPs. Whole genome sequencing of a 6x and 12x deletion mutant revealed a low number of off-target mutations which were unrelated to Cas9-mediated cleavage. Secretome analyses confirmed the loss of secreted proteins encoded by the deleted genes. Infection tests with the mutants revealed a successive decrease in virulence with increasing numbers of mutated genes, and varying effects of the knockouts on different host plants. Comparative analysis of mutants confirmed significant roles of two polygalacturonases (PG1, PG2) and the phytotoxic metabolites botrydial and botcinins for infection, but revealed no or only weak effects of deletion of the other CDIPs. Nicotiana benthamiana plants with mutated or silenced coreceptors of pattern recognition receptors, SOBIR1 and BAK1, showed similar susceptibility as control plants to infection by B. cinerea wild type and a 12x deletion mutant. These results raise doubts about a major role of manipulation of these plant defence regulators for B. cinerea infection. Despite the loss of most of the known phytotoxic compounds, the on planta secretomes of the multiple mutants retained substantial phytotoxic activity, proving that further, as yet unknown CDIPs contribute to necrosis and virulence. Our study has addressed for the first time systematically the functional redundancy of fungal virulence factors, and demonstrates that B. cinerea releases a highly redundant cocktail of proteins to achieve necrotrophic infection of a wide variety of host plants.

Determinar la prefactibilidad de un proyecto de inversión para la creación de una empresa comercializadora y distribuidora de productos y subproductos de yerba mate ubicada en la zona centro de Bogotá. La yerba mate es un producto por tradición consumido en los países como Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Uruguay y Paraguay entre otros, la tradición alrededor de su consumo consiste en reunirse entre amigos y acompañados en una charla agradable, todos comparten esta bebida en un porongo o mate que pasan de uno al otro y disfrutan de este momento especial. Actualmente la yerba mate a comenzado a tomar fuerza en el mercado internacional siendo Argentina el mayor exportador de este producto, en Colombia no es del todo desconocido dado que se puede encontrar en mercados de grandes superficies y a la vez exclusivos, sin embargo, es una bebida que se consume como un té, y el desconocimiento de todos sus beneficios, y su tradición se deja evidenciar. The tradition around it talk about meeting some friends having fun and sharing that drink into the Porongo or Mate that goes from hand to hand. At the present time Yerba Mate has begun to gain strength in the international market with Argentina being the largest exporter. In Colombia it is not completely unknown. It can be found in large-scale and exclusive markets, however, it is a drink that is consumed as a tea and the ignorance of all its benefits and tradition is evident. Yerba Mate is not just an alternative drink to coffee or tea, It is a drink with many properties and health benefits.

International audience; This paper presents a descriptive study and scientometrics analysis to evaluate the incidence of the classification model of scientific journals Publindex in the behavior of Colombian journals in the area of Engineering and Technology. Qualitative and quantitative criteria were compiled, the production and contents of the journals were studied, and the national journals of the Engineering and Technology area were compared with the international journals of the same area. As a result, it is concluded that the implementation of the new categorization model served as a stimulus to boost the impact and improve the management of Colombian scientific journals in the study area. However, there is evidence of the need to implement models of editorial management and editorial policies (publication languages, periodicity, type of peer review, number of articles published, etc.) of international journals, and to rethink the classification model of scientific journals in Colombia incorporating guidelines that allow an objective evaluation based on the standardization and control of citation patterns.; En este artículo se presenta un estudio descriptivo y análisis cienciométrico para evaluar la incidencia del modelo de clasificación de revistas científicas de Publindex en el comportamiento del conjunto de revistas colombianas del área de Ingeniería y Tecnología. Se recopilaron criterios cualitativos y cuantitativos, se estudió la producción y contenidos de las revistas y se compararon las revistas nacionales del área de ingeniería y tecnología con las revistas internacionales de la misma área. Como resultado, se concluye que la implementación del nuevo modelo de categorización sirvió como estímulo para dinamizar la gestión e impacto, medido a través de indicadores de citación, de las revistas científicas colombianas del área de estudio. Sin embargo, se evidencia la necesidad de poner en práctica modelos de gestión editorial y políticas editoriales (idiomas de publicación, periodicidad, tipo de revisión, cantidad de artículos publicados, etc.) de revistas internacionales de referencia, y de replantear el modelo de clasificación de revistas científicas en Colombia incorporando directrices que permitan una evaluación objetiva a partir de la estandarización y control de patrones de citación.

Guía para el modelo de comunicación educativa para el control del cáncer en Colombia El modelo para el control del cáncer en Colombia, diseñado por el Instituto Nacional de Cancerología, considera la comunicación educativa como una estrategia que contribuye a reducir la incidencia y la mortalidad por cáncer, así como a mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes. La comunicación educativa debe realizarse en el ámbito político y comunitario y en los servicios de salud. Este texto, que forma parte de la Serie de Documentos Técnicos del Instituto Nacional de Cancerología, busca orientar a quienes trabajan en los espacios comunitarios y en los servicios de salud para generar acciones orientadas a la educación y la comunicación para el control del cáncer. Su propósito es generar actividades que promuevan mejores condiciones de salud y bienestar desde un enfoque promocional de la salud, con respeto por los derechos humanos y con perspectiva generacional y de género, para construir procesos de transformación a largo plazo que se puedan desarrollar en la cotidianidad de las personas, las comunidades y las instituciones. El texto define qué es la comunicación educativa y establece las habilidades para el desarrollo de intervenciones en los servicios de salud y en los espacios comunitarios y los principios y enfoques (los derechos humanos, el reconocimiento de la perspectiva diferencial de género y edad y la promoción de la salud) que deben atravesar las intervenciones pensadas desde el modelo de comunicación educativa para el control del cáncer. Igualmente, aborda los pasos para el establecimiento de acciones de comunicación educativa en los espacios comunitarios y en los servicios de salud y presenta diferentes estrategias de comunicación educativa, como el insumo para lograr el cambio social y la transformación personal. La puesta en marcha del modelo de comunicación educativa para el control del cáncer en Colombia debe ser un vehículo para ampliar la mirada de la salud y sus enfoques y la reflexión sobre el proceso de la salud, de la enfermedad y del cáncer, que implica integrar a las acciones los conocimientos, saberes, prácticas y representaciones del cáncer A Guide to Educational Communication in the Context of Cancer Control In Colombia The Cancer Control Model developed by the Instituto Nacional de Cancerología (National Cancer Institute) in Colombia, considers educational communication as a strategy that contributes to the reduction of cancer incidence and mortality and the improvement of patients´ quality of life. Educational communication should be carried out in the political, communitary and health services levels. The present document is part of a series of technical papers and is intended to guide those who work in the community and health services in the implementation of educational and communicational actions for cancer control. It is aimed at generating activities that promote better health conditions and well being from a health promotion and human rights approach, using gender and generational perspectives. These activities are meant to build long lasting transformational processes that could be developed in the everyday life of people, communities and institutions. This paper provides a definition of educational communication and establishes several skills for the development of interventions at the health services and community levels. It presents the principles 6 and approaches (the human rights, the gender and generational, and the health promotion perspectives) that should guide the interventions planned from the educational communication model for cancer control. It introduces the necessary steps to establish educational communication actions within the community and health services contexts. At last, it presents several educational communication strategies as the basis to achieve social change and personal transformation. The implementation of the educational communication model for cancer control in Colombia should be a means to broaden the perspective on health and its approaches and to encourage reflection on health, disease and cancer processes. This implies that knowledge, practices and cancer representations should be integrated into actions
