Objective: This study aims to explore the effect of music therapy on improving the negative psychology of stroke rehabilitation patients with dysphagia. Methods: The medical records of 160 stroke rehabilitation patients with dysphagia admitted to Wuwei People's Hospital from June 2020 to May 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Based on the different clinical management programs, these patients were divided into the control group (n = 77, receiving routine clinical rehabilitation management) and the research group (n = 83, receiving routine clinical rehabilitation management + music therapy). The scores of the Standard Swallowing Assessment Scale (SSA), Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), and the World Health Organization Five-item Well-Being Index (WHO-5), as well as the levels of dopamine (DA) and 5-hydroxy tryptamine (5-HT), of the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, there was no significant difference in SSA scores between the two groups (P > 0.05). After the treatment, the PHQ-9 score of the research group was lower than that of the control group, whereas the WHO-5 score was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After the treatment, the levels of DA and 5-HT in the research group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusions: Music therapy for stroke rehabilitation patients with dysphagia can improve their negative emotions and quality of life to a certain extent, which may alleviate the condition of patients. Introduction: Suicide and early alcohol use initiation are public health concerns. Previous studies have explored the associations between age of alcohol use initiation and suicidal behaviors, which progresses from ideation to action. Distinguishing between the various associations can help gain a deeper understanding of suicidal behaviors and aid in developing social suicide prevention strategies. Methods: The study utilized the Youth Risk Behavior Survey to investigate this association. A total of 17 209 students were finally included in the study. Conditional suicidal behaviors included no suicidal behavior (NS), suicidal ideation without a plan or attempt (SINPA), suicide plan without an attempt (SPNA) and suicide attempt (SA). Results: Among 17 209 students, the prevalence of suicidal ideation, suicide plan, and suicide attempt were 21.4%, 17.3%, and 11.1%, respectively. Moreover, 15.2% of the students used alcohol before age 13, whereas 31.7% of students used alcohol at age 13 or older. Compared to NS, students using alcohol showed significant associations with SA (OR = 2.34, p <.001; OR = 1.29, p <.01), SPNA (OR = 1.68, p <.001; OR = 1.19, p <.05) and SINPA (OR = 1.55, p <.001; OR = 1.40, p <.001). Comparing with SINPA and SNPA, students using alcohol before age 13 were associated with SA (OR = 1.61, p <.001; OR = 1.46, p <.001), whereas those using alcohol at or after the age 13 were not associated with SA (OR = 0.98, p >.05; OR = 1.09, p >.05). Anorexia nervosa (AN) is an eating disorder that is significantly associated with severely impaired physiological functions, multiple organ failure, and suicidal ideation. This study aims to estimate the global, regional, and national secular trends of AN burden based on Global Burden of Diseases (GBD) 2019 data. The pertinent data for AN were collected from the GBD Study 2019. The long-term trends of the burden of AN were analyzed in different Social Demographic Index (SDI) regions by Joinpoint regression, Age-Period-Cohort analysis, and the Estimated Annual Percentage Changes. This study found that the global burden of AN gradually increased over the past 30 years, with the highest burden remaining in high-income countries, but the biggest increasing trend was observed in Asian region. AN was more common in adolescents and young women, but it was growing rapidly in adolescents and young men. Disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) caused by AN was the highest in the age group of 15–24 years among all SDI levels. The risk of AN rapidly increased since the beginning of the twenty-first century apart from high SDI regions, and it was higher in later-born cohorts than the earlier ones in various SDI areas. Future studies could verify our findings by using individual-level data. Our findings could help policy makers around the world understand the burden of AN in their countries and develop appropriate health policies for prevention and early intervention for high-risk populations.
