The Carbon County oral history project(1972-1993) consist of oral histories from residents of Carbon County, Utah. While the main emphasis is on living in coal mine country, the interviews are verbal snapshots of rural Utah life from the earliest settlers to as recently as 1993. The interviews have been alphabetized by the last names. In the few instances where there are two subjects in one interview, look alphabetically for the placement of the name; there will be a note as to its location.

The Carbon County coal strike records (1906-1973) contain original documents and photocopies of transcripts, petitions, correspondence, newsletters, flyers, court records, and articles concerning the Carbon County Coal Strike of 1933. The collection also contains material on other strikes during the first four decades of the twentieth century., Collection also contains materials relating to the 1925 lynching of Black coal miner Robert Marshall, supposedly in retaliation for the shooting of J. Milton Burns, by people from Price and the surrounding area.
