A presente dissertação tem por objetivo apresentar a ética estoica na composição do ecletismo ciceroniano e, além disso, o uso destes conceitos éticos nas tusculanae disputationes, mostrando a possibilidade de fortificação moral do homem romano a partir do uso da filosofia como terapia, denominada por nós como identidade filosófica. Tivemos como ponto de partida a apresentação do contexto de surgimento da doutrina da escola do pórtico, assim como os componentes de sua ética: os conceitos de virtude,vício, indiferentes, paixões e as ações adequadas, além de feita a diferenciação entre o sábio e o insensato. Como eclético que era, Cícero não tomou nenhuma posição definida tratando-se de filiação filosófica, mesmo tendo suas preferências, pois comungava do pensamento de várias doutrinas. No campo ético, recebeu maior influência da escola do pórtico, ainda que fosse conhecedor de todas as doutrinas helênicas, seu contato direto com os filósofos da fase média da stoá fez com que ele se achegasse mais aos grandes nomes deste período, sendo influenciado por Possidônio de Apaméia e, principalmente, por Panécio de Rodes. Sua filosofia estava ligada à sua vida pessoal e aos problemas da República em declínio. A formação do tratado ciceroniano vai ao encontro dos acontecimentos da Roma do séc. I a.e.c., bem como da condição de abalamento do orador. A identidade filosófica romana, apontada na forma de aconselhamentos morais, inicia-se com a apresentação do retor-filósofo, a persona consolatória que representa o arpinate, e segue com o desenvolvimento do gênero da consolatio, gênero escolhido como meio de preparar o homem para enfrentar as adversidades da vida. Esses aconselhamentos oferecidos por Cícero aos cidadãos têm como foco a valorização da filosofia como algo necessário para a felicidade dos indivíduos (e nisto se inclui o incentivo à produção filosófica em língua latina); a libertação do medo da morte e da dor; o alívio das aflições e perturbações da alma como caminho para a vida feliz e as virtudes como sementes da medicina da alma. This dissertation aims to present the stoic ethics in the composition of Ciceronian eclecticism and, furthermore, the use of these ethical concepts in tusculanae disputationes, showing the possibility of moral fortification of the Roman man from the use of philosophy as therapy, called by us. as a philosophical identity. We had as a starting point the presentation of the context of emergence of the doctrine of the portico school, as well as the components of its ethics: the concepts of virtue, vice, indifferent, passions and appropriate actions, in addition to differentiating between the wise and the foolish. As eclectic as he was, Cicero took no definite stand on philosophical affiliation, even though he had his own preferences, for he shared the thinking of various doctrines. In the ethical field, he received greater influence from the portico school, although he knew all the Hellenic doctrines, his direct contact with the philosophers of the middle phase of stoá made him closer to the great names of this period, being influenced by Possidônio Apamea, and especially by Panecius of Rhodes. His philosophy was linked to his personal life and the problems of the declining Republic. The formation of the Ciceronian treaty meets the events of the Rome of the century I a.e.c., as well as the speaker's shaking condition. Roman philosophical identity, pointed out in the form of moral counseling, begins with the presentation of the retor-philosopher, the consolatory persona who represents the arpinate, and continues with the development of the consolatio genre, a genre chosen as a means of preparing man for face the adversities of life. These counsels offered by Cicero to the citizens focus on valuing philosophy as necessary for the happiness of individuals (including the encouragement of philosophical production in the Latin language); the release from fear of death and pain; the alleviation of afflictions and disturbances of the soul as the path to happy life and the virtues as seeds of soul medicine.
