Genetic and physical mapping efforts for Chromosome (Chr) 7 (MMU-7) of the laboratory mouse are being summarized by the Committee for Mouse Chromosome 7. The Committee was recently convened at the Fourth Workshop, and is comprised of individuals actively working on various regions of MMU-7. This first report represents a compilation of published mapping data gleaned from the literature as well as unpublished data contributed by various laboratories and by members of the Committee.
